Sorry, but it's not the same.
With Voice Message you can send voice messages to anyone, and you don't have to register to use it.
In my case, is google who is reponsable to send to you notifications. This case is better to save battery than running a service in your device.
But I think that yapt is good too.

Yes I'm pretty sure of it, only register on their website to download the apk.
for testing viber you need to do nothing, as when it crashes it asks you to report issue and send the logs with single button click

I think you have to receive mail or sms from Viber to get starting you can get the apk from viber.com/download but you can't use it

Yep,
Contact list on Viber is duplicated from your Android's list, and when new contacts of yours install Viber, you get notified of that (just like iPhone).

When somebody ask me "What is Viber?" I always answer that his the Whatsapp for speaking : )
If everybody, and it could be AWESOME, have Viber + Whatsapp and a big data we can speak and send messages for free !
PS: I have a question for you, Viber team, i have only 500 mb for a months (welcome to switzerland ), i must use Viber on the Wifi no? Have you any idea of how a call for 5 minutes use data?

Viber uses about 0.5MB per minute of call - so you should have 1000 minutes with your 500MB plan (although most cellular providers in most countries offer much larger plans than that).
By the way, Viber also offers Text Messaging, not only calls

Looks like a great app especially for the numerous conference calls I have.
Only suggestion is on the recurring planned call is for, Daily for just weekdays Mon-Fri.

Internet permissions are required for Google Analytics only, but we will probably remove this in next version (I understand that some people may be concerned that an application that works with contacts requires an Internet connection). We don't send any private data from your device to our servers or 3rd party servers.

Hi, thank you for reporting this issue. Validation for phone number format has been removed in some 1.0.x version, but we were validating length of phone number (max. 15 chars). Today we released quick small update (1.1.4) that removes this validation / restriction. Please let me know if app now works correctly for you. Have a nice day

Ahem, a dumb question, if it's covered in docs, I apologize
Is there a way to actually execute a call, rather than, have a screen with 'call' button pop up?
IN my usage, I just want to send the ussd string/dial the number at scheduled time with no further interaction
Of is not there, what do you think of such option, do able? Of any real use, worth considering?

Looking into this further, apparently the carrier won't allow final digit included in the string, it gets ignored, and, needs to be entered 'interactively', so, my 'automated' used might need some interaction...
Anyhow, I'll try and see, thanks for your help

WhatsApp calling is working fine for me now If you need WhatsApp call then first update your whatsapp to latest version (download from: whatsapp.com) and (hit the thanks button ) then message me on WhatsApp (Just write: XDA Nexus 5 WhatsApp) and I will call you on WhatsApp, pick up the call and your feature will be activated.
My Number is: //Invite not working now. Will update my number once the invite system starts again

How you enabled it? Maybe the contact on your list needs to have it enabled too..

I tested it on two smartphones and unfortunately it doesn't work.
On both the call feature was enabled but no contact showing to call
Maybe someone who has it "originally" enabled and can send invites should send others here invites to test the new feature (if someone has an invite for me -> a pn would be greatly appreciated)
I also tried over two device but didn't work
It needs invite.. Please pm if anyone have invite..

the command is working fine for most of the users.. don't have any other solution yet and this is also true that the command will only enable GUI of this feature.

No, because at the moment thia feature is not available in my country, so I don't know anybody who has it enabled. That is why I am searching some other way.
