Selfie Stick for Mate9? - Huawei Mate 9 Accessories

Anyone tried this selfie stick for Mate9? I have one and it's working perfectly on my old Note4 but it seems not working on this Mate9. The option to take the photo with volume button is turned on, when I plugged the 3.5mm jack to my phone, it showed the headset icon the the statusbar, I went to camera and tried taking some photos but no, it didnt work, the buttion on the selfie stick had no use. So I came here to ask if anyone has tried this? Thanks!

Hi. I just bought a Bluetooth selfie stick yesterday and it works fine. It also uses the volume key method cos when I press the button on the selfie stick outside the camera app it increases the volume

Button for internally camera missing

When first using the internal camera the button was 3 for switching external on internally available. After a photo admission the equipment blocked. After a soft RESET the button 3 was missing???
After hard reset no change... Button for internally camera is still missing???? HELP
even after a HR? did you try calling htc support? it's as if it doesn't recognize the existence of the front camera. can you try a video call and see if the front camera is functioning?

When using camera, no buttons work except the power button

This has happened a few times where I have the camera app and I am taking pictures and then all the sudden non of the touch screen buttons/controls for the camera work and the touch sensitive buttons at the bottom for back, home ect wont work. I literally cannot do anything with the phone except use the hardware button for power. However, I cant turn the screen off. All I can do is hold down the power button and turn off the phone...
Anyone else had this issue?
if you hit the power button while in the camera app, it locks everything. just click it again and everything will unlock
Interesting..... thanks! Didnt know that. I really appreciate it!
Took me a while to figure this out, too. If you look closely, there's a little lock icon on the screen. The power button toggles the lock.

My guess is that you can keep the camera ready and in a pocket or in your hand to get that upcoming shot.
This feature nailed me, too, the first time I used the phone.
Then a week later it proved VERY handy when recording a video where I had to keep a deathgrip on the phone. Amusement park rides!
I'm new here so I can't post links yet. Just combine the following by removing spaces:

note: even with a deathgrip I gave myself a massive bloodpressure boost by holding my new phone like this.

Speakerphone and picture display layout problem

So two problems I have encountered with my Pro 7 and was wondering if they were common problems?
One of the problems is the speakerphone volume is hopeless. Not usable.
Other one is... Sometimes when I receive an MMS. Holding the phone normally, the picture is shown as if I am holding it long ways (landscape mode) and visa versa. I end up having to put my head on a 90 degree angle to really enjoy the full picture.

On the Arrive I felt the speakerphone was very loud and clear.
As for the MMS, I have also experienced the same glitch.
Well at least I am not the only one with both problems.
Hope the glitch will be fixed with No-Do
Stupid question: have you tried to press volume up button during the call? Maximum volume is 10. It works for me. I'm afraid that it won't be fixed by NoDo. I suppose that it's a hardware problem.

Front buttons not working

All of sudden my front buttons (home, menu, back, search) stop working, however those button on the keyboard still works. If i power down and reboot the phone it works again and when the phone goes into sleep, the button stop working again. Anyone have any ideas? The phone is rooted, s-off with cm9 installed.

Not too sure, but I've come across the same situation before. I think it has something to do with not have a the micro sd card mounted. Did you by chance remove it at any point? Just a theory, seems to be the problem for me, I remove the card frequently to transfer files from my computer.
I thought that was the problem also, so i replaced the sd card and wipe and reflash the rom and still have same problem.

I experienced similar behavior with my old mt4gs, it ultimately proved to be a result of a worn flex cable between the two halves of the phone.

isnt the flex cable connected to the track pad also? that track pad still work fine. i know there separate flex for the power buttons, camera, and the the functions buttons
You COULD just move on to CM10 or CM10.1 where you have a navigation bar option you can use to bypass your physical buttons. If you remain on CM9 you can download Notepad++ and go to system/build.prop, open it for editing and add the line qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 at the very bottom of the file. Once you reboot you'll have a navigation bar to use instead of your buttons. (Thank You Jesterfell)
Same problem for me. Fixed by replacing the flex cable.
i went back to the stock rom, so far it working again with no problems
