I would like to says thanks to clubtech for link to purchase unbranded 3G tab 7.0 plus. Also thanks to xda for our own section here.
Just got my tracking number, I super excited, but I know to be cautious with AT&T data. Has anyone tried popping their AT&T SIM into one of these. I currently have grandfathered unlimited smartphone ( not iphone ) data. Currently I have a Dell Streak 7 4G, and I havent gotten any notices/ had any problems. So Im -hoping- I can just pop in my AT&T SIM with voice and smartphone unlimited and I'll be good to go as this model Im expecting is unlocked. I would be uber stoked!
Anyone have any suggestions to be stealthy and avoid getting bagged?
anyone tried a similar setup in USA with this device?
.... just want to be "safe" as possible. Thank You guys, Im sure I wil be very active in the forums when my device gets running.

enjoy.
Im hoping I'll go undetected by AT&T as there are still some 1st gen gtab users with voice and unlimited smartphone data , correct??
Thanks, coincidentally it's the same company I had found a couple of days ago. I even contacted them ( and they promptly replied to my questions ) asking a couple of questions.
Did u receive your tab yet ? What shipping method did U use ? Did you have any problem with custom , clearing it ? Did you have to pay any custom duty ? This was my bigger concern since the item is coming from Malaysia. In the past I've bought several things from China, Hong Kong and never had a custom problem. But never bought anything from Malaysia. This is copy of their correspondence :

As for AT&T, I do not live in the USA but I am there often. And I've always used a GoPhone SIM card. I even use it in the old Galaxy Tab 7 , that I bought from AT&T and promptly flashed with an European Rom, and unlocked , so I could use it as a phone. I buy Pay as you go data packages.

edit : I noticed that you just got your tracking number, so I guess you have not received the tab yet.

got mine.. used FedEx and it was here in 3 days.. No customs issues at all.
It will not work now t-mobile because the frequencies are not compatible. I am using mine on at&t and it works well as my area has 1900mhz coverage.
Fyi they are shipping the white model, not the black model as shown not their website.

3 days.. you lucky son of a gun.. j/k . I was thinking they might ship white, oh well I got a black carbon fiber skin that should take of that , so voice and data are working good on AT&T. I neeeeed this thing, groove ip and sipdroid on my dell streak 7 are flaky. what kind of download speeds you got clubtech? Im in hartford CT and in good areas, im getting 7-nearly 8 mpbs down on dell streak 7, normally around 4 or so.
mine just completed through customs whew had me nervous for a while.. im using DHL.
Hmmm, I'd love to get a white model. Thanks for the feedback, I'll order mine shortly. As you can see from the Ip mart reply they claim that they do not have the white model ........... I guess the guy answering the messages does not really know :

[Q] Where are the 32gb note 10.1 models in uk?

I have had mine on order with a online seller and its due in 19/10/12.
the samsung uk site does not list the 32gb either?
I cant find a single thing about no 32gb models being for sale/in stock in the uk so whats going on; anyone know?
i Cant answer you question but have you considered buying the 16gb version and putting in a 64gb Micro SD Card?
It seems here in the Netherlands what seems like a good chunk of europe, 16gb models are available, that seems to be my impression.

That's the only company that seems to be offering them (32GB), as I have mine on order from them with same due date. Someone left a review for the 32gb so I'm guessing they had the stock at some point.
I tried emailing Samsung UK, but the email got bounced ggrrr

Have you tried Samsung Mobile's Facebook page.
I have used it in the past with 'some' success.
By bringing your question to the masses puts Samsung on the back-foot.
If you do not get a reply keep hammering your own replies. It won't take long before someone starts to notice and the last thing they need is an irate customer base.
I also spoke with Clove on this and they too have not had any success with dates.
It will come but as you say it is bloody annoying.
I refuse to order a 16GB model as most of my Apps (not games) have extremely large data files which all get dropped into the 16GB (11GB after main default installation) part of the available memory, thus for me it would not take too long before that remaining 11GB's has been taken. Granted you could root your device and use DirectoryBind to move the data over to your external SD card memory but unfortunately rooting is not for me.

Max supported size is 100% 32gb acc to all official documentation. some peoples reviews on the net are wrong quoting 64gb supported in msd slot.
i brought a 32gb card ready to put in thus giving me 64gb when ever it arrives.
the fact samsung direct dont even list it suggests to me that the 32gb models havent even been shipped from the factory yet.
i emailed samsung directs sales team no reply.
I will try the facebook idea....
Yay i am not the only one who got sucket in on "unnamed website" the 32gb review on there cant be legitimate in my opinion i orded mine soon as it appeared on the site!
i noticed the date 19/10 has now gone up for new orders. its a cheak they list it as in stock when i first put the order through!
When Note 10.1 was announced and sold back in August Sammy rep. Europe said that 32GB will follow depending on the selling situation.
Wonder if there will be 3g/WiFi Notes with 32GB at all.
Was the same with Tab7.7 ...................... (no 64GB version until now !)
64Gb SD cards work with the Note 10.1.
As for the version with 32Gb internal storage, I ended up buying from the States - it got to me in 2 and a bit working days, :victory: but I got stung for €100 inport costs
64GB ards work with no issues.

I have found it listed at Woolworths.co.uk which shouldn't be based in Hong Kong and take your money and never send it!

Be careful..... It's not actually Woolworth's but a 'multi-owned corporation' that sells this.
They use the defunct Woolworths & Littlewoods.
Here's the same tablet only this time being sold by Very.co.uk
Notice it's the same notices "Non returnable under our Approval Guarantee, once installed or connected" and web content as Woolworths.
Good spot. I'm not getting one anyway but thought it was uk based.
I think I'll stick to 16gb + 32GB card.

They are UK based! They are part of the shop direct group that includes very, littlewoods, Woolworths, isme , etc.
I got mine through very with no issues... the only time you will have an issue is if your item develops a fault and they try to wash their hands of you, by saying you must deal with the manufacturer after a day.... c*nts
Yeah, I think years ago I'd have taken the risk but these days is prefer to have a simple returns policy instead.

Samsung Pay missing

Hi guys. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge G935F. However, despite having the latest update on my phone, Samsung Pay is nowhere to be found. Do you think a firmware re installation would help? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Also, as a sidenote, I have not made any modifications to the device, as the void counter still states 0.
I also think its worth noting that I previously had a rooted S6. Would this prevent me from using Samsung Pay on my S7?

I read that the latest update on the "F" firmware removed the Samsung Pay App from the phone. The person that reported it, speculated that it might be because Samsung is about to activate Samsung Pay in European countries and they removed it until the finalized app would be available. Again, that was just speculation. But it does appear that the app was purposefully removed by Samsung for some reason.

Yes. It's only available if you meet all Samsung Pay criteria. Check their website. It has to be model AND carrier specific.
It's not on mine either. And where I live, they don't have chip & PIN protection as well (yes the cards have the chip won't ask for my PIN). So not a huge loss.

Ok thanks. My model is the G935F and my SIM is a T-Mobile one. So they probably removed it.
I checked on this with Samsung. They don't have any idea if it will reach international unlocked versions. As of now is only avail in US and carrier locked phones.
Ah got it not sure how I missed that. Much appreciated.
Yes just a small reminder ... the Galaxy S6\S6 Edge\S6 Edge+ international edition are all still waiting to get Samsung Pay... I just bought the G935F.. I really hope\wish we get S Pay soon

Do any, or anybody's S7 say galaxy s7 on the back of the phone?

Hi guys, I bought off ebay a Galaxy s7. Following videos it "appears" to check out, the interface, "cpu's" shows correct cpu/display resolution, etc, the Sim card/micro sd holder is.... correct.... The only thing I notice different on mine is that on the back it says Galaxy s7 as well as the samsung writing on the back, I googled it and I see some google images show the same as what I have, mean while some just say Samsung on the back, perhaps that was the early first set of review phones being that way? This phone is a "sprint sm-G930P".
Just wanting to double, tripple check before the return time has come and gone, Thanks! :good:
I have a T-Mobile G7, it says Samsung under the camera and Galaxy S7 below that. I pre-ordered mine from T-Mobile, so it is genuine.

My Samsung Galaxy S8+ is showing Korean content on an Australian version

I bought this phone from **** Smith which is an online shop that has been bought out by Kogan a year ago and although the store is in Australia, the phone seems to be imported from Korea. When I turn on the phone I get a Korean Telecom logo on boot along with the Samsung logo. I knew that wasnt normal for a phone that was bought from an Australian store but I let it slide, however, when I go into Bixby, I get Korean content from the Korean YouTube and I also get other Korean information. I hate having Korean content showing on my phone, is there any way to change it? Also, whenever I click on the weather app and just tap on the weather for the week, it takes me to a website which is a Korean weather website.

Install australian android via odin.
+1 for NeedleGames' reply - just download the Australian version of the sm-g955f software and flash via odin. The hardware is exactly the same.
Just remember though, you'll need to go back to **** Smith/Kogan if you ever need to use your warranty...
Samsung don't honor warranty repairs for grey imports....

No need to get aggressive with him, he had a point. You should've known what you were getting into when you bought it.
If you say it has a Korean Telecom logo when you boot it up, it's the SM-G955N variant, only launched in South Korea, specifically for their carriers. No way to remove the bloat without rooting the phone.
There's a separate discussion thread for the Korean S8+: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/how-to/sm-g955n-samsung-galaxy-s8-korean-128gb-t3612058

Same hardware doesn't mean Odin or the phone is gonna accept the file for a G955F.
People really need to read up before they give out suggestions.
Is anyone able to help me out with using Odin to change my phone? Obviously Im a beginner with very little knowledge on this kind of stuff

You can't change anything.
Read the thread I linked, you'll have to root your phone and get rid of all the carrier bloatware.

I had a similar experience to you, whilst comparison shopping on line I was given no cause to believe that the phone on offer by **** Smith Electronics was any different to that on offer by the other Iconic Australian suppliers such as JB HiFi, Harvey Norman or The Good Guys. My assumption was that the product was cheaper simply because **** Smith Electronics no longer has stores or staff to maintain. I never even heard of "grey imports".
So whilst I take the point made by Murtaza02 that we "should have known what we were getting into", its not unless you scroll down past the "also bought with this product" section and into the product description that you are alerted to the fact that this is a "direct import international version" (whatever that means to the non-suspecting consumer). And even if you do investigate further, the website states:-
"You may notice minor differences when compared with models purchased locally, however, all international models are supplied with an Australian compliant generic charger and are suited for use in Australia."
"Minor differences" ? The differences are significant enough to prompt savvy shoppers who deliberately purchase grey imports for the substantial savings that they can offer to turn around and go to a lot of trouble "flashing" the phone so that it "works like the Australian versions of the phone"
I regret my purchase with **** Smith Electronics AKA Kogan. And whilst I assume some responsibility for not having investigated the origin of the phone further before my purchase, even in retrospect, I feel I was never given any cause to do so.
In fact it seems to me that the whole DSE website is nothing more than a front for the Hong Kong based drop shipping company and the purchase procedure deliberately engineered so as to not raise suspicion in the mind of the consumer that the phone is anything other than a genuine Australian version.
On my further research, the $999 price point avoids alerting the consumer that this is an imported model by not attracting GST, and the "limit 1 per customer" in retrospect is a further prevention of the consumer being alerted to GST obligations and therefore the fact that the phone is a "grey import". DSE advertise "Don't pay $1345" (for the same phone is implied here). And they say shipping is "ex stock" and "1-2 days".
I really feel in the case where an Australian Iconic Business such as **** Smith Electronics is offering a phone for purchase within Australia that they need to make it clear to consumers from the onset and within the front matter that this is a "grey import" and differs from the "Australian" version so that consumers can make an informed decision and are not duped or fooled or led to believe otherwise.
