Incipio car dock and waze - Moto Z Accessories

Those of you that use the car dock and have the aux cable plugged in to the stereo, do you get waze notifications? with or without bluetooth connected to the system, i do not get any voice notification. I tried with google maps and it works perfectly.

Retesting, if Bluetooth is off it will work. Not sure why it didn't work the last time I tried.

I get around that by using a Bluetooth bone-conduction headset while driving. Full situational awareness and crisp audio cues.

Integrating trinity with car

I am looking for a quick and easy way to integrate my trinity with my car.
Currently I have have a generic car mount with charger. However, I find that TomTom and telephone calls over the speakers are too quiet.
I was thinking of installing a Parrot MK6000 in my car as a method to stream audio from my trinity to the car stereo whilst also acting as a car kit for hands free use while driving. Has anybody had any experience with wiring up this kit? is it easy for a moderate level electronics users (able to solder wires proficiently etc.) to wire up?
Alternatively does anybody know of other solutions to integrate the trinity with the car stereo?
Hello:
I installed this hands free in my car, and it works really fine as a hands free. The audio streaming works well too, but the sound is quite methalic. With tomtom, there is a delay in the sound, the first word it says, for example "...Turn on the left in...." you listen "...urn on the left in ..." and it hanpens allways when tomtom starts to talk.
My OS version is wm5 and I read that wm6 solves this problem.
I recently bought a LG LAC7700R (carstereo with bluetooth and cd/mp3/wma player, with a seperate mic you can place somewhere in your car) works good, up to 5 phones can connect, last six called contacts it will remember. no phonebook in carstereo. Carstereo mutes automaticly by incoming call. You can even use BT audiostream.
i have always BT on, on my phone, it will connect by itself with the carstereo.
works fine for me.
now i am looking for a nice phoneholder with only a charger.

I have a similar setup, with the Sony MEX-BT2500 instead.
However I did not manage to route the Tomtom or iGO sound over the BT A2DP stream.
As a charging holder I have the Brodit Cradle installed.

check this, maybe it will help:
goto bt settings in your phone and activate bluetooth stereo on. that's the thing for play mp3's and navigationvoices over BT. The handsfree mode is for phone voice. (leave that on!)
does sony support a2dp ? maybe that's the problem.

Actually I bought the Sony because it supports A2DP. And with MortPlayer it works flawless when listening music. With activated Bluetooth Stereo (Headphone Symbol in top bar) Tomtom still uses the internal speaker.

[REQUEST] Using Bluetooth Earpiece while in Car Dock

Apparently one cannot use a bluetooth earpiece while the Nexus One is in the Car Dock.
This I find rather annoying because my phone is not mounted very close to the driver seat, and I find callers always saying they can't hear me.
Can anyone here figure out a way to get a bluetooth earpiece to work while in the dock?

Tho I haven't tried it with an ear piece, the following combinations seem to work fine for me when in the car dock:
Phone / Media connected to bluetooth CD player in truck
Phone connected to bluetooth cd player and Media connected to car dock
Phone connected to sony LiveView device via bluetooth.
This is all while the phone is sitting in my dock, so I'm not sure why you would not be able to?
Are you on a stock or custom rom?
Well my car doesn't have a bluetooth receiver, so I use the car dock to play the navigation prompts.
Whenever I put my phone into the dock, it unpairs my Jawbone Earpiece and won't let me re-pair it unless I unpair the dock.
Would be nice if I could pair both.

Maybe try changing it so that the dock is only pairing Media (long press car dock in bluetooth settings and click options and uncheck phone) and the jawbone is only pairing Phone.
Not sure if stock roms support dual profiles or whatever to pair with multiple devices at once, but Cyanogenmod does, at least, because I have mine paired to my dock and my receiver at the same time every day.
Also, not sure if this matters but I use dock nothingness (free app) to make my phone NOT launch the car dock app, and then dockcarswitches (another free app) to turn on/off my bluetooth when it's put in and out of the car dock.
I'll try that out tomorrow. Thanks for the advice though. Didn't think to actually set that up the way you did. Silly me.

Streaming via Bluetooth

Has anyone successfully managed to get the phone to stream music via Bluetooth. I've tried my sound bar, Moto S11's, cars, trucks, SUVs with no luck. I can take calls on all, but no music via bluetooth streaming.
Do it everyday, with both my car stereo for calls and music and also in house with small bt speaker in my kitchen.
Never had an issue with connection once

I do it everyday as well. Listen to music and podcasts over LG Tone+, and it works in my car with Ford Sync too. The volume is jacked when using it with a stereo headset but that's another issue.

Used it in my car several times. Under the Bluetooth settings for the device your connected to, make sure its checked to use a media device.
Do this everyday as well. I connect to my Mazda 3's stereo as well as Bluetooth speakers at home without a single hitch.
Connecting is not the problem. Phone connects fine. All my cars recognize the connection because I can make calls from my cars. I get my calls too. I just can't stream music to my head units. Works fine with my HTC One call and streaming. Just can't get the streaming to work.
I have a budget JVC head unit for my car, and it always drops the signal. (Has done it with the One, GNex, iPhone...)
While the phone is "connected" toggle the source on the Bluetooth receiver, meaning - switch it to AUX, then leave it for a couple seconds, switch it back to Bluetooth and see if that helps. Also when there is music playing, crank up the volume on the phone (volume rocker) because there is a separate volume level for Bluetooth sound versus ringtone volume.
Hope this helps in some way

Ahhhh, your car may not support the media profile, just phone.

Nope. They all support it. My HTC One streams music no problem. I've resetted the phone multiple times and now my Bluetooth file exchange is not working. I'm going to have to RMA it. Which sucks.

In the Bluetooth settings for your car, so you have the box ticked for streaming music? There are two boxes for mine in the seeing profile for my car ... handle voice calls and music stream.
I have switched off voice calls for my Bluetooth speaker in house using the profile settings for that device

Auto switching to Bluetooth using aux in car. N one more issue.

OK, so I've noticed since I bought my phone that while I'm driving to work, with the bluetooth on on my headset, and when I plug in the Aux 3.5mm cable into the phone, the music transfers to the Car Audio system like it's supposed to. Keep in mind I just bought my Nexus 5 last week. While into my drive (10 to 15 minutes), all of a sudden the music stops playing in the car and switches automatically back to the headset. What's causing this? Anyone experience the same issue? I know I can turn off my bluetooth headset, but if I get a call, I want to able to answer it quickly. I'm currently using the A2DP Plantronics M50.
Another issue not in the subject because I was cut off from the character limit:
How come when I have bluetooth turned on and answer the phone physically on the phone by swiping the call answer icon to the right, the audio automatically defaults to the bluetooth headset. Why? It should route the audio to the phones earpiece, not the bluetooth. If I wanted to answer with bluetooth, I would press the bluetooth answer button. This happened on my Nexus 4 as well.
Anyone with info please?
I have the same issue. Oh wait, i'm the OP...

Smartwatch 3: hands-free calling in the car via AUX

Hello!
I would like to use the SmartWatch 3 in the car, hands-free calling. In addition I have the SmartWatch connected to the mobile phone and the mobile phone connected to the AUX port of my car-radio. Now I can hear the caller over the car-speaker, but he me not. The integrated microphone in the watch not work.
Can help my?
No one has an idea?
Times an example without a watch: If you connect the phone to the AUX output and someone calls, then you hear the voice over the car speaker, but he does not hear me. The microphone is then switched always silent. Why is that? Is that a problem with the cable?
The watch microphone has one and only function: translate your voice into commands for Google Now.
If you attach your phone to the aux port of your car stereo, depending on the phone itself, the phone mic will shut off or work as always.
In Xperia phones, the headphone jack doesn't exclude the microphone as long as it's not connected to a headset.
If I connect my Xperia Z Ultra to the Aux port of my car stereo, I can hear the caller and he can hear me if I keep the phone mic at a reasonable distance.
To keep things way better and simpler, I had a SBH20 bluetooth headset laying around, connected to the car stereo, and placed in the middle of the car.
That way I can stream music and call hands free without worrying about the position of the phone itself, cause the headset has its own mic, obviously. [emoji6]
