Proudly Presents You The
Droid Dual Boot Tool
Introduction
We from the Android Core Research & Development Team (ACRDT) are glad to present you this “Droid Dual Boot Tool”, which does all the necessary steps to make your device dual boot. All you have to do is flash the zips as mentioned below. The main focus of this tool to help all Android Users to understand and have dual boot OS in their smartphone in a user friendly manner. This tool takes all the coding, so with a single click of mouse you can have dual boot. Awesome Right!! Keep Reading...
This Whole Concept was a Big Gigantic Hack by ACRD Team.
**Neither Device Manufacturer’s nor Android . Let It Like this.**
How it works?
Normally when you boot your phone, the kernel (or boot.img) file loads all the files from all partitions like /system, /data, /cache, /firmware…etc. So to have Dual Boot you need to edit the boot.img of the CustomROM such that it loads all the files from the /system2, /data2
To Achieve that We Partition the Device using Parted Commands in Zips ..We Uses Intelligent OpenRecoveryScript Commands To Flash them Automatically..In a Order Wise..
In a Short way I'm Explaining How this Stuff works.. our current rom which was in /system /data .we back up that rom .Our Script flash this Boot-To-Secondary_BackUp_Rom.zip this contains a modified recovery.& boot when we restores the rom it'll sent to /system2 & /data2 . Now what happens is our current rom is moved to secondary partitions.. Now /system /data are empty right so we can install our custom roms there ..
Check Out this Video & Zips If you want to know about how our Intelligent code Executes..
Dual Boot Mechanism (youtube)
Why Dual Boot?
We Say If You Are A Custom Rom Lover..And An Enthusiast One to Try Out Roms..!!
To Try Out Every Rom..You Have To BackUp Your Current Rom And Flash It And Again Restore Your Old Rom..Seems Headache Process RIght..No Worries We Are Here For You..You Are In The Right Place With This 99% You Will Dual Boot Your Device..You Can Keep One Rom As Permanent And Try Out Other Roms With Out Touching First Rom.
Warning….!
Your warranty will be void, but for Xiaomi device you can get it back when you flash the ROM via EDL (Downlaod) Mode.
We Are Not Responsible For Damaged Ext-Cards,Corrupted emmc Chips, & Loss Of Data.
However, We'll Help You If you find any problem
Please Make a Full Nandroid Backup Of your Rom in External SD Card & Have a Full Copy Of Your Internal Data to your Ext-Card / Laptop.

No, emmc formatting is not necessary. TWRP is recommended.

I tried 2 methods to do this already:
1. Tried to replace this file using root explorer. However, it doesn't allow me to copy any file inside system/lib. Also tried various other explorers to do this. Same issue - doesn't allow copying inside system/lib.
2. I has some patch zip package - autofocus.zip and af.zip (2 different patches I googled). I modified these zip to remove their zip content and add my stock rom file 'libcameracustom.so". Then I flashed this zip file in recovery mode. In this case phone hangs. I had to reflash your rom to get it working again. Pls note, the zip file also contains META folder with some CERT files etc which I did not remove. I only removed from /lib folder and added from my stock rom system/lib/libcameracustom.so
Maybe I tried wrong ways to replace "libcameracustom.so" - explain me the right way to do it.
Thanks,

Informations
Hey guys, today i will show DualBootPatcher one of the best apps for multi ROMs (i think this is the unique app for this ).
I have managed to support Xiaomi Mi 4i.
I am not the creator, just the supporter
Disclaimer
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.
It patches...
Custom kernels for dual boot support
ROMs so that they can be installed as secondary
Google Apps packages for AOSP-based ROMs
SuperSU so that it can be used in the secondary ROM
NOTE: If you want to dualboot a Miui ROM, I highly recommend installing Miui as the primary ROM. Otherwise, any mods will need to be patched before flashing.
What's supported?
Except Toaster and Alarm clocks pretty much everything is supported.
How to use the patcher
Android
Download the patcher apk and run it. Tap "Patch Zip File" from the navigation drawer and choose the file you want to patch.
Windows (GUI)
Double click DualBootPatcher.exe and choose the file you want to patch.
--------
After patching the zip file, a new file, like some_rom_dual.zip file will be created. For example, patching ktoonsez's
KT-SGS4-JB4.3-AOSP-TMO-08.28.2013.zip
would create a new
KT-SGS4-JB4.3-AOSP-TMO-08.28.2013_dual.zip
Instructions for dual booting
Before doing anything, download the Dual Boot Patcher app and the DualBootUtilities.zip from the download section below.
The patcher offers several locations for installing ROMs:
Primary: This is normally used for installing a zip to the primary ROM. It is not required, but is strongly recommended because it has code to prevent the zip from inadvertently affecting other ROMs.
Dual: Dual/Secondary is the first multiboot installation location. It installs to the system partition. This is a good spot for installing a second ROM because it doesn't take any space away from the internal storage.
Multi-slots: There are 3 multislots: multi-slot-1, multi-slot-2, multi-slot-3. These install to the cache partition. This is specifically for devices, like the Galaxy S4, that have a massive cache partition.
Data-slots: There can be an unlimited number of data slots. These install to the data partition and eat up space on the internal storage. This is useful for devices where the system partition is nearly full and the cache partition is tiny. These slots are named "data-slot-[id]", where "id" is something you provide in the app.
With that said, let's get to the "how to"!
First, boot into your primary ROM and install the Dual Boot Patcher app
Open the app and go to "Roms" in the navigation drawer. It will ask if you want to set the kernel. Make sure that you do.
Go to "Patch zip file" in the navigation drawer and patch the ROM or zip you want to install. You can select one of the installation locations described above.
There are two ways of flashing the patched zip file. You can either flash it normally from recovery or flash it using the in-app flashing feature. Both methods are explained below.
Flashing from recovery
To flash from recovery, just flash the patched zip file like you would for any other zip. Nice and simple.
In-app flashing
To use in-app flashing, go to "Roms" in the navigation drawer, tap the floating button on the bottom right, and add the zips you want to install. You can queue multiple zips and they will all be flashed in one go. Once you've added all the zips you want to flash, click the check mark in the action bar and they will be flashed right away.
A normal backup from recovery will backup every ROM. If you would like to back up ROMs individually, please see @rlorange's awesome tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2491299
App and data sharing
DualBootPatcher very recently got support for sharing apps and their data across ROMs. Maybe sharing is somewhat of a misleading term. The feature actually makes Android load the shared apps and data from a centralized location, /data/multiboot/_appsharing. So you're not sharing apps from one ROM to another per se. The ROMs are just loading the apps from one shared location. Let me make this clearer with an analogy.
Think of the people in a company office as ROMs. You want to share with your coworkers some documents (apps). Instead of telling them to come over to your desk to see those documents (sharing apps from one ROM to another), everyone goes to the conference room to look at the documents together (loading apps from a shared location). That's how app and data sharing is implemented.
To use app sharing, follow these steps in every ROM that you want to use app sharing:
Install the app you want to share
Open DualBootPatcher and go to "App Sharing" in the navigation drawer
Enable individual app sharing
Tap "Manage shared applications" and enable APK/data sharing for the app
Reboot
When you uninstall an app that's shared, it simply become unshared for the current ROM. That way, other ROMs are not affected. To continue the analogy above, if you quit your job, you won't shred the documents that everybody else was looking at.
If you unshare an app's data, it will go back to using the data it had before it was shared. In other words, you leave the conference room and go back to work on your own documents at your desk.
(Hope my analogy didn't suck too much )
How do I...?
Switch the ROM if something doesn't work properly?
You can flash the DualBootUtilities zip from recovery. It will provide a menu interface that allows switching to the various ROMs.
If you have TWRP, you can also switch manually by tapping Install -> Images (bottom right) -> Go to /sdcard/MultiBoot/[Your ROM]/ -> flash boot.img.
Wipe /cache, /data, /system, or dalvik-cache?
The easiest way is to do it from the app while booted in another ROM. Just go to "Roms" in the navigation drawer, tap the 3 dots options menu for the ROM you want to wipe, and tap "Wipe ROM".
Alternatively, flash the DualBootUtilities zip from recovery, which will also allow you to wipe a ROM.
NOTE: Don't use the recovery's built-in wiping abilities as that may delete non-primary ROMs!
Update the primary ROM?
Patch the zip for primary and flash it. The "primary" installation target is designed so that other ROMs won't be affected when you want to flash something for the primary ROM.
Update a non-primary ROM?
Patch and flash the zip exactly like how you did it the first time.
Flash a mod or custom kernel for the primary ROM?
Patch it for primary before flashing. If the zip does not wipe /cache, it is also safe to flash it directly.
Flash a mod or custom kernel for a non-primary ROM?
Just patch and flash it
Downloads:
I recommend against using the stable version of the patcher right now. So many changes have been made in regards to device support, ROM support, and general bug fixes that it's better to use the unstable snapshot builds until the next stable release is made.

Did anyone try this....?? I tried and getting an error(Unfortunately Dual Boot patcher(Debug) has stopped) while patching the ROM zip file. I am using the unofficial patcher app as advised in the instructions. Official app doesn't have the Mi4i in the device list hence not able to patch the zip. Can anyone please through some light to go forward.

Which ROM zip did you try to patch?
I was able to patch cm-12.1 zips correctly. Haven't tried with Marshmallow yet.
Appreciate if we could get the support for Elephone M2 as well....??? Below is the url for device thread.

I tried below mokee official builds...
http://download.mokeedev.com/?device=ferrari&type=release
I did a trick that the patcher is installed in my other mobile "Elephone M2" and patched zip files successfully, then moved those files again to Mi4i and installed. It worked.
Surprisingly i could able to patch from my secondary ROM (Mokee) but not from the primary rom(MIUI). I believe that MIUI rom is not supporting for patching it seems.

Thanks a lot for this, after years of runing multi boot on laptop, now I can runing multi boot on phone also. I have succses with triple boot install, everything is working well except one little thing: can in-app switch to another rom only if I on primary (RR 5.1.1), but, if on secondary (slim bit 6.0.1) or on data-slot rom (RR 6.0.1), I can switch to another rom only from twrp via flashing boot.img, even DualBootUtility.zip not working.
I have a one question: What is a Leaks app, who cames with DualBoot patcher app?? What means all that notifications/messages MainActivity leaks, leaks this, leaks that, etc... and what mean that message about memory dumping?? Thanks for answer.
cannot flash cm13 as secondary using miui as primary. Please if any body has tried elaborate steps to dualboot.
If you want to install cm13 as a secondary, that mean cm13 will be installed in chroot environment inside your MIUI ROM, exact path is /system/multiboot/dual. MIUI is "little big" rom, did you check how much free space you have in your MIUI /system partition? And what kind of error you got in recovery when you try to flas secondary.
In any case, steps for flashing are:
1. Boot into MIUI
2. Open Dual Boot Patcher app
3. Go to "Patch Zip File" option
4. Add your cm13.zip (and gapps optional), choose "secondary" on popup, if you want to install as a secondary on /system partition of existing rom
5. Press check mark in top right corner to patch zips you added
6. Boot into TWRP and flash cm13-blah-blah-dual.zip (and gapps-blah-blah-dual.zip optional) just normal, as a usually roms.
That's it.
Do i need to patch primary rom also before installing secondary?
I tried to upgrade primary stock rom with primary patched rom, got error cannot flash over rom through Dual Boot Patcher App.
I tried to clean install primary via TWRP, got error Failed to compute sha1sum of boot. Failed to flash zip file.
How do i make it work? Do I keep primary stock ROM as it is (MIUI) or patch primary ROM and flash secondary CM13.

The status is testing from the first time I saw this thread
Hello. Somewhen at begining of this year, I was use some unofficial version of this app on MI 4i, founded here, in this thread, and mentioned version was working properly. Now, I want to fire up multiboot again, but as I see, things was changed here. Actualy, there is not MI 4i as supported device in latest snapshot provided in first post. Can someone give me a link for previous unofficial Dual Boot Patcher app?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Sorry, guys, such a stupid from my side. I found an app, in first post ofcourse.
It's possible
Sorry cause double post, but just for info, I successful running a MIUI V8.0.2.0.LXIMIDG Global Stable in dual boot with ResurrectionRemix-M-v5.7.4-20161005-ferrari from @Rohan purohit
Yes, yes, MIUI 8 in combination with M custom ROM on same phone. We already know, if we want to install L or M custom ROM on our phone, we must have 6.x.x firmware as a base. Procedure for making dual boot MIUI 8 + L/M custom ROM is same as usually. Main trick is how to switch ROM. Again, same as usually, but before every switching, you have to flash firmware files from recovery - 6.x.x if you switching to custom ROM and 8.x.x if you switching to MIUI.
Conclusion: I realy don't like MIUI, I am a person who like AOSP way, but MIUI camera is really really great, and some other features are pretty cool, now I have best from both world.
Unfortunately, this thread is little dead , but if you want to setup something like this or similarly, and stuck somewhere, be free to ask here or PM me, and I can write some mini tut with steps.

Hey I'm trying to do exactly that! But I'm a little confused about what you mentioned - I am currently running MIUI 8 and wanted to flash a custom M ROM with the DualBoot Patcher, do I need to flash MIUI 6 before doing this? Or can I proceed to setting up the dualboot alongside MIUI 8? I also didn't understand what you meant about switching between the ROMs, do I need to flash a different version of MIUI to the MIUI partition every time I want to switch?
Sorry for so many questions, I was just confused about that and really wanted to do this, to get the best both MIUI and clean Android!

You should download or transfer a custom rom .zip file (and gapps optional) on your phone
Open Dual Boot Patcher app and patch all .zip files you want to install as a 'Data slot' (be creative and give some name to your data slot, it is mandatory).
After this you will get new .zip files (e.g. Rom-Name-data-slot-name.zip and Gapps-data-slot-name.zip) and this is a whole magic. Those new .zip files have instructions to be installed inside /data/multiboot/data-slot-name folder inside your primary ROM, not inside /system as ussual.
You will get a modded boot.img inside /sdcard/MultiBoot/data-slot-name also, and this boot.img have instructions to boot OS from /data/multiboot/data-slot-name , not from /system as ussual
Before installation of secondary ROM, start DualBoot Patcher app, and set a kernel of MIUI as a primary:
This is not nothing specialy, after this you will get a stock boot.img of MIUI8 inside a /sdcard/MultiBoot/primary, but you'll need it for further booting back to MIUI
Boot into TWRP and install a secondary ROM and gapps, usually as a normal rom and thats it.
***Switching between ROMs***
From MIUI to Custom:
Boot into TWRP
Install V6.6.10.0.firmware.zip (this is not whole ROM, this is already known firmaware files, here from xda)
Install /sdcard/MultiBoot/data-slot-name/boot.img as => Image => Boot
Reboot System and whoala, you are in custom ROM.
From Custom ROM to MIUI:
Boot into TWRP
Install V8.0.2.0.firmware.zip (this is not whole ROM, this is same as V6.6.10.0.firmware.zip mentioned above, but with firmware files for MIUI 8, packed by me )
Install /sdcard/MultiBoot/primary/boot.img as => Image => Boot
Reboot System and whoala, you are in MIUI.
I hope, I was helpful
YES that really helped clarify the process, thank you SO MUCH!! I really appreciate it!!

About EFIDroid
As @m11kkaa said EFIDroid is a easy to use, powerful 2ndstage-bootloader based on EDKII(UEFI).
It can be installed one-click with the EFIDroidManager App. You can Add/RemoveEdit Multiboot ROM's.
There's no special support needed by ROM's or RecoveryTools(no kexec etc).
And I think @yoAeroA00 EFIDroid is a relatively new Multiboot solution for Snapdragon SOC based mobile devices which is based on the EFI implementation by Intel (EDK2).
In last few month's 90% of the Developers has just drop out for no Reasons. Without these drop-out's it could gain a Huge Success.
For more information , please visit to the Github WIKI and for support, please visit EFIDroid Slack. @m11kkaa and I @yoAeroA00 will always be on Slack Community to Help you Porting it to your Devices or Help you a little bit.:silly:

Configuring new ROMs from the APP before Installation
Note: You need to configure the system before installing any new ROM for Multibooting.
> Before you do any of this you should have a ROM .zip file Handy on your SD card (/storage/sdcard1/ and !!NOT!! /sdcard!).
> To Add a ROM Slot got to "Operating Systems" List and click on the FAB (Floating Action Button)..
> Choose an ICON for your new ROM Slot..:good:
> Choose in the screen /data/media/0/multiboot or any other on screen places as a location for your ROM Slot.
> Enter a name and description for your ROM.
> You can leave the partitions as they are (Schema LoopSystem + BindOther) or modify their names or sizes.
> If you need your own custom replacements than configure them as per your needs in the Replacement Tab.
> Press the tick in the top right corner if you have finished setting up things.
> Now you can see that your newly created ROM Slot is in the "Operating Systems" list.
> Then Reboot to See the EFIDroid's Magic!:silly:
Adding a System to the newly created ROM Slot
Note: Once you are in the UEFI, you can navigate around with Volume Down to go Down, Volume Up to go Up and the Power Button to confirm your Selection.
> To flash a ROM select the empty slot, select TWRP (Internal) and then press Power Button.
> Next select your newly created ROM Slot.
> You will be now landed in TWRP and be greeted with a warning about keeping the System Partition ReadOnly. Swipe the Slider at the bottom to Acknowledge it.
> I will highly Recommend you to format all the Partitions(System, Data, Cache) to EXT4 or any file System before you Continue to Install any ROM..
> Click Install, select the Micro SDcard at the Storage tab and then navigate to the directory where your ROM .zip is placed.
> Select your ROM .zip file ****!-ROM.zip.
> Disable the Zip file signature verification and slide the Confirmation Bar.
> If Everything is good then you can Reboot!
MultiBooting into your newly created ROM
> Select your new ROM and press the Power Button. Do not be put off because of the long “Booting <ROMName>” screen as your ROM will open & play the boot animation very late (Unfortunately for only the First time).
> Aaaand Finally we are in the New ROM!
FAQ
Note: If you have any questions, please ask in the This Forum thread or PM me
Q.1> This is a UEFI port, can we port Windows?
> Not, till Yet but with your support we can easily Port it.
Q.2> Can I still use fastboot after installing this?
> If you flash to the boot/recovery partitions, UEFI will be overwritten.(dd in Android/Recovery instead) all other partitions will work as usual.
Q.3> I FOUND A BUG, what should I do now?
>Report it on Github. If there already is an issue for your bug and you don't have anything useful to add, just hit the thumbs-up button. This way I know how many people are affected and can adjust my priority list. I will not keep track of all bugs reported in posts of this thread. If you want a bug to get fixed, report it on Github.

No, I didnt mean that.
- I flashed lk.img via fastboot flash boot lk.img
- I can reach efidroid's menu
- But I can't add installed rom and twrp recovery from there
(I can't use efidroid's android app, because of my data partition is encrypted - it show's not supported message when I click install button)
So is there any advanced way to add my rom and recovery manually, like editing a xml based config file etc?

What is MultiRom?
MultiRom is one-of-a-kind multi-boot mod. It can boot any Android Rom as well as other systems like Ubuntu Touch, Plasma Active, Bohdi Linux or WebOS port, once they are ported to our device. Besides booting from device's internal memory, MultiRom can boot from USB drive connected to the device via OTG cable. The main part of MultiRom is a boot manager, which appears every time your device starts and lets you choose ROM to boot. Roms are installed and managed via the modified TWRP recovery. You can use standard ZIP files to install secondary Android Roms, daily prebuilt image files to install Ubuntu Touch and MultiRom even has its own installer system, which can be used to ship other Linux-based systems.
I am not the developer of MultiRom. All Credits for it goes to Tasssadar, the actual developer of it.
Features:
MultiBoot any number of Android Roms
Restore Nandroid Backup as secondary ROM
Use for example Ubuntu Touch or Desktop alongside with Android, without the need of device formatting
Boot from USB drive Attached via OTG cable
Warning!
It _is_ dangerous. This whole thing is basically one giant hack - none of these systems are made with multibooting in mind. It is messing with boot sector and data partition. It is no longer messing with data partition or boot sector, but it is possible that something goes wrong and you will have to flash Stock Rom zips again. Make backups. Always.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Via The MultiRom Manager App:This is the easiest way to install everything MultiRom needs... Just follow the Below Instructions:
Install the app (Links Below)
Select MultiRom and Recovery on the Install/Update card.
Press "Install" on the Install/Update card to start the installation.
DONE! MULTIROM IS READY TO ROCK!
You current rom will not be erased by the installation.
Download link is in the second post.
Adding ROMs:
Android
Boot into MultiRom Recovery -> select MultiRom -> Add Rom -> Select the Rom's zip file and click Confirm.
Updating/changing ROMs:
1. Primary Rom (Internal)
Flash Rom's zip File as Usual, Do factory reset if needed (it won't erase secondary Roms)
Go to MultiRom in recovery and do Inject curr. boot sector.
2. Secondary Android Roms
If you want to change the Rom, delete it and add new one. To update the Rom, follow these steps:
Go to MultiRom -> List Roms and select the Rom you want to update.
Select "Flash zip" and Flash the Rom's zip File.
Explanation of recovery menus:
Main menu
- Add Rom - Add Rom to Boot
- List Roms - List Installed Roms and Manage Them
- Inject boot.img File - When you Download something, for example a Kernel, which is Distributed as a Whole boot.img (eg. Qassam Kernel), you have to use this option on it, otherwise you would lose MultiRom.
- Inject curr. boot sector - Use this option if MultiRom does not show up on boot, for example after Kernel Installation.
- Settings - Well, SETTINGS!
Manage Rom
- Rename, Delete - No Need to Explain this I Think!
- Flash Zip (Only Android Roms) - Flash zip to the Rom, for example GAPPS
- Add/Replace boot.img - Replaces boot.img used by this Rom, this is more like a Developer Option.
- Re-Patch init - This is available only for Ubuntu. Use it when Ubuntu cannot find the root partition, i.e. after apt-get upgrade which changed the init script.

1. MultiRom is a complete Multi Booting tool which has it's own Recovery, boot ui, etc.
2. Yeah i think so... You can.
3. Mido is rn4 only r8!
Also note that this is still in testing so please forgive me if you face any bugs. But it will be stable soon...

Now tried LOS as second rom. Couldnt even boot in my first rom. So deleted the second rom. Still couldnt boot in the first rom. (screen goes off after mi boot logo). Now restored the first rom nandroid backup. Working now.(first rom only).

Hello Sarthak Sir
No i do not own a mido.
I approached in some TG, WhatsApp groups after i made this to get someone to test. But everyone got me to post it here
So i just posted it with the BIG Heading "TESTING".
Also just because I don't have this device, please don't think i will not fix this MultiRom.
I will work day and night to fix this lol:silly::fingers-crossed:
Now some guys at some TG group confirmed to me the following points:
1. MultiRom works through the app to dual boot.
2. Boot UI is messed up and needs fix. (Trying out different Pixel Formats now)
3. The Lockscreen and FP Bug exists just like some other devices like kenzo, s2, x2, etc. (Temporary fix: Disable your FP and Pattern before Installing any new Rom)
Now looking out for more testing and propably this thing will be ready to rock in a few days.
Sent from my LeEco Le 2 using XDA Labs
Edit: Just also added EXPERIMENTAL in the Title to show that this is just in the Alpha Stage till now

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock android for your device.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo.
Important info:
ROM OS Version: 7.1.2 Nougat
ROM Kernel: Linux 3.4
- Note: Warning! You are the only responsible of your actions, and especially of your use of your phone. Neither I, neither XDA, are responsible of your handling with your phone.
- Note: You must have unlock your bootloader on sony's page
- Note: You need to use the stock bootloader. If you switched to the Open Device Bootloader (D2203), please flash again the old bootloader. Here you have FTF file: (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B07I-JdP5dQzSWs3SW1uYXVsWjg/view?usp=sharing). If you don’t remember the process, you can check it on Google.
Working
All
Almost working
Cameras are not fully working. You can take panorama pictures but no videos nor photos (with Snap app). In some other apps you can take them sometimes. In cameringo for example you can take everything. Fixed on V4!
Known issues
WiFi MAC address is a default address because TA is not being read yet. We are working to fix it. This only makes that some WiFi networks does not allow your phone to connect because another device with the same address is connected, but this is not usual so you shouldn't have problems with that. Fixed on V4!
Audio bugs:
Songs may pause randomly after some time and continue after some secs.
Some games might have a laggy audio problem (Pokémon Go for example).
Download
You have to download the latest version of boot.img, recovery.img and system.img or flashable zip from this link https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B07I-JdP5dQzM1FRbXY4bGt4VzQ?usp=sharing
For Google apps (Play Store, Google account...) go to http://opengapps.org/, choose Arm for Android 7.1 and select any variant you want. We recommend Pico variant as is the smalles one (you can choose stock if you want Pixel launcher).
Install
You need to install adb and fastboot. If you don’t know how to do that, click on the link down below.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
Then, in your file explorer, go to « This computer » and search for the file « adb ».
Next, put files in the folder « adb ». Hold shift and click (right click). Then click on « open terminal » or do « cd » (you need to find the location of your file « adb »).
Boot your phone in Bootloader/fastboot (this is the exact same thing but with different names depending on how you call it).
Before all, you have to start cleaning the device so do a wipe then:
In the terminal, type the command « fastboot devices »
You should see something like this for example :
Code:
CVH7N15B11004115 fastboot
If it isnt’t the case
go to Device Manager
Find your phone
Click on properties
Update the driver for your phone
Choose « Bootloader interface » and retry the command « fastboot device »
Now, you’ve done a big part of the work! You only have to type the following commands.
Commands
Code:
1. fastboot flash boot "name of boot".img
2. (Starting from V4 - 2020-01-23) fastboot flash FOTAKernel "name of recovery".img
[COLOR="SeaGreen"]3. Boot TWRP with Vol - and flash LineageOS zip[/COLOR]
[B][COLOR="Red"]IMPORTANT:[/COLOR] Only if Magisk was automatically installed after flashing LineageOS zip and after the first reboot the ROM is not booting:[/B] [COLOR="SeaGreen"]Flash again any boot.img with fastboot or TWRP (using "Install image" option)[/COLOR]
[COLOR="red"][STRIKE]fastboot –S 256M flash system "name of system".img[/STRIKE] (that was for v1 && v2 )[/COLOR]
You will boot into your new ROM.
IMPORTANT!
If your Xperia E3 model is D2202 or D2212 (3G-only single and dual SIM variants) you may need to flash an additional firmware zip in order to get SIM card working if it does not work after the first boot. Here you have the link:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B07I-JdP5dQzRG83U2d2aXBmUWM?usp=sharing
Note that there is a zip for each variant, but this is only to avoid confusion. Both are the same zip and you can flash any of them.
Extras
Now all you have to do is to flash the GAPPs in the recovery.
For Magisk go to https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
and download Magisk app and zip (ONLY FOR VERSIONS BEFORE V4: using the boot named Magisk) and its corresponding Magisk version.

Changelog
- note only last change will be post ( change log for v1 and v2 was remove )
New release 14/02/20 v4.1
Fixed a sensors bug introduced on V4. Now sensors should work as before.
New release 23/01/20 v4
Recovery is now independent from Boot partition! Now you should flash recovery image to FOTAKernel using fastboot or to "recovery" partition using TWRP. With this measure you can flash any Magisk version without waiting us to update boot.img.
Camera fully working now! Torch also works. The only thing you can't do is to enable Noise Reduction on Snap as it is not supported on Stock ROM
Bluetooth and WiFi addresses are now fine. They should be the same as the stock ones.
Compass may work better.
New release 06/01/18 v3
Tethering works now (in WiFi, BT and USB)
NFC works perfectly now
Now no user needs to flash additional firmware blobs This is not always working.
Camera working partially (I recommend you taking photos with panoramic mode and videos with other apps, like Instagram)
TWRP 3.2.1
Magisk v15.2 is now supported
Sony's framework is preinstalled, you are able to download Sony's Apps from Google Play
Safety net passed using Magisk+Magisk Hide
