I've noticed not all the build.prop tweaks actually take effect. Some do, while others don't. I've resorted to manually entering them. Do you use "setprop", cause it should work then?
EDIT: Tested with the "getprop" utility.

I have to admit that some setprops don't work. But setprop-ing properties as early as possible works for me.

Which exactly?
Every property inside L Speed is picked from AOSP source, so possibility that something isn't working is pretty low. Tell me what exactly doesn't have any function on your device, so we can discuss about it.
Thanks

LG G3 with Fulmics ROM and Xceed KERNEL
when i transfer big files (>1 Gb, especially mkv files) via usb it stops at the end, in both external and internal memory.
i disabled aggressive doze and sd tweaks and nothing happened,
after uninstalling LSpeed and making restart everything is fine.

Info:
New ScreenRecorder in town! This one performs perfectly on Android 4.4 KitKat. It uses the native "screenrecord" binary from 4.4 ROM which give very smooth results. (All ScreenRecords that are not using the "screenrecord" binary will not work on Android 4.4 KitKat). Ugly Icon will be replaced soon (first name was KitKat ScreenCast thats why the icon says 'KKSC', Icon and market name will be changed soon)
<-- BEFORE USING THE APP, PLEASE READ THE TEXT BELOW!!!!! -->
Note: While recording your device may become a bit laggy, Recorded video (when played on PC) is 100% smooth
Steps:
1. Fill in the path of the destination file. this may not include symlinks, a hard links to your sdcard is automatically placed in the first input field.
2. Choose a bitrate, the default given bitrate is 4000000, which is 4Mbit. Higher bitrate means better quality. I prefer 8-12Mbit.
3. Press "Start Recording" to start recording the video, the app will now minimize, when you are done with your recording press the notification that popped up. this will stop the recording.

Changelog:
v1.2
- Add icon (forgot in last release)
v1.1
- Removed RootTools (not needed and causing issues)
- When recording the app now will automatically minimize itself.
- Added Stop Button
- Removed duration
- Added Notification for recording, when pressing this notification the recording will stop.
v1.0 Initial Release
If something doesn't work instead of rating 1 star please post it here so I can help fix it.
Sometimes you need to choose odd destinations such as /cache or /data to make it work.
for example I recorded to /data/filename.mp4 in this video:
www.broodplank.net/files/filename.mp4 you can see how smooth it is! kitkat power
It works only for KitKat sir? Then it'd be of no use for us S4 users!

Today I've made a set-up for a screenrecording app, it only supports android kitkat, since it uses the "recordscreen" binary.
Very early release, but works pretty neat, afaik this is the only screenrecorder atm that works on kitkat. (i have tested 3 others and they didn't work)

oh it worked for you?
for me it kept telling me some fake message about me having no root. which is obviously not the case.
screencast resulted in black videos, not more, other screenrecord apps crashed.
but i did some searching on "kitkat screenrecorder" and it seems there are already like 3/4 apps that are almost the same as mine (but were posted earlier), all screenrecorders using "recordscreen" binary work on kitkat, all others dont work guaranteed.

update news: I just found how to stop the recording without killing it, so today a new version with a start and stop button, and removed duration
Update to v1.2.
App dramatically increased, now user friendly, no duration set etc.

Curious as to how you modified the binary to allow longer recording...
Is it a case of hex editing the binary and patching out the 180s restriction (i.e. changing it to a higher value)?
I have no idea how to edit compiled binaries and would be interested in learning a few tricks!

Thanks for posting ^^. when doing it from source its really a minor change, when doing it with a hex editor it can be harder, but still very easy.
I recently hexed out a message that was spamming "mCompEngine is NULL" out of camera.msm8960.so, without any issues, just fill the actual spot with zeros and its done
Hi broodplank,
The screen recording itself works great but I'm having a couple of issues.
I backed up the current binaries and then installed the hacked binaries but I'm still unable to record for longer than 3 minutes. Also, clicking on the notification to stop the recording simply brings me back into the app. I have to actually manually click on the Stop Recording button inside the app.
I'm using the latest version (v1.5) and have a HTC One, if that makes any difference.
Great to see that sound recording will hopefully be available soon as well

Change log:
1.0.3:
- Minor fixes
1.0.2:
- Add Android L and Gingerbread support
- Few improvements
This is great ! However, is there any known issues when disabling those logs (except for developers wanting those logs of course) ?

Thank you for this app! Once a day I do some cleaning for my Android, and every time there are tons of logs and other ****, your app blocked some of them, but is there any chance to block them all?
Is there any chance to block:
/data/tombstones/
/data/system/dropbox/
.log files
UsageStats reports
Network and Process statistics
There is a typo in your app.

Do you have data that shows how big the impact is? Benchmarks or test runs?
Sure it reduces some CPU cycles, but i think you would not be able to notice it.
The biggest performance drain for logging does usually not come from the act of outputting the message itself, but from the effort that happens before an app logs something, like calculating debug values or extra calls. Disabling the logging from Syslogd only remove the last step of the chain. Apps will still keep logging, it just won't be printed into the log buffer.

True only for <Android4.1 Since 4.1 apps can only read their own log output.
I don't mean to attack you, the idea was well intended, but i don't see the benefit of doing this and it adds the huge downside of not being able to catch crash stack traces in the log which would help developers fix bugs.
Kinda like those custom kernels that come with logging disabled, just does more harm then good.

Sorry, but no it didn't. This app prevents the creation from logging (sockets?) at /dev/log (currently). These are not items that are picked up/cleaned, they can't be deleted anyways as they are not files but sockets iirc.

Dark3n, firstly thank you taking the time write this feedback.
Actually i don't agree with you about the biggest performance drain, this is relative and may depends on the device hardware but i think disk i/o operations are usually more expensive/slower than cpu calculation operations.
Anyway crash stack trace is the most important thing to be reported, and the developer shouldn't keep debugging informations on their App release, one of the reason i used to put those precious Proguard lines on my Apps:
Code:
-assumenosideeffects class android.util.Log {
public static *** d(...);
public static *** v(...);
public static *** i(...);
}

True i'm aware non Root/System Apps can read only their own logs starting from JB, but we can't ignore the other type of Apps and older OS versions.

Yes, it may break some parts of bug reporting, but the user can still enable them anytime he needs to do that, and the developer does not need to rely on the logger for the bug reports, he can catch the stack trace and report it without the need of logcat (with Acra, Google Analytics or any other bug reports tool).

@wanam i cant find any option to save the settings after disabling logs on my gingerbread device. when i press back button it says 'do u want to quit without saving configuration?' but no save option there.
Congrats on your new app wanam mate, a very good and promising one! thanks for your work :good:
I tried this app today on my lg g3 and I noticed my temps running 105+ degrees. So I tried re checking all the boxes and temps went back down to low 90's. I tried re-downloading the app, rebooting with same results.
Anybody else seeing this issue?
i presume this would hamper law enforcement's ability to gather some sorts of evidence from your phone...

Disable Wifi Power Saving Mode - Galaxy S7

By default the Galaxy S7 has a WiFi power saving mode which affects bandwidth and response when the device screen is off and on battery power.
New method to disable WiFi Power Saving mode. Should work for other Samsung devices.
The *#0011# method I've found creates a file /data/.psm.info and contains a 0 to disable power saving.
Open a Terminal session.
su
echo '0' > /data/.psm.info

Or you can use my app to toggle the setting.

Power Saver Off - Sees a fast response every other ping.
OLD Method
Follow the instructions below or use my own attached modded file to disable this power saving mode. The option is in a service menu but the activity hides the power saving button to toggle it.
My scheduled Wi-Fi tasks now don't struggle.
My S7 is a UK G930F. Will also work with G935F.
Copied /system/priv-app/serviceModeApp_FB/serviceModeApp_FB.apk
Decompiled using AndroidMultiTool and latest apktool.jar
Edit /res/layout/wifi_information.xml
Change the powersavemod lines - android:visibility from "gone" to "visible"
Recompile the apk
Copy back to device /system/priv-app/serviceModeApp_FB/serviceModeApp_FB.apk
Restart device.
Open the Dialer and type *#0011#
Click More
Click Wifi
You will now see the WIFI Power Save Mode option
With Power Saver of, screen off and no USB connected, you get better bandwidth and a quick response every other ping.

Stops the Wifi going really slow when the phone is sleeping. I have an app that queries a website every minute and it wasn't receiving results each time.
Disabling power saving mode gets me results every time.
I know about this. In fact, it was the first thing I did when I got my S7E. But I don't have that option. I'm on latest DBT firmware.

When enabled wii on during sleep the phone is always connected to wifi when sleeping.
If disabled it turns off wifi during sleep like it says.
That said, do not know anything about the speed, I never use wifi, haha.....
Who can sent me servicemod modified
Is it just me or does this absolutely murder your battery?
With this mod, I lose 50% over 10-11hrs of screen off time with all apps killed.
Here with superman rom nougat it doesn't work. There is no switch in service menu.
Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
Is there Any way to do it without root?
Anyone managed to do something similar with no root ?
I'm pretty sure it's the doze feature that causes this, when I disable the doze feature the WiFi is always staying alive (it's done using adb and it resets after reboot), however, I've tried disabling all the apps in the 'optimized apps' and it doesn't help.

This app allows you to use Chop Chop motion and Torch Quick Settings tile with Flash Light techniques that work with Android Oreo and other 64 Bit ROMs for Moto G4 Plus (athene).
The App uses native Chop Chop sensor so it should work with other Moto Phones that support Chop Chop motion too.
Moto Torch supports two camera modes: Camera API and Root mode
You will find that the root mode is much faster than the Camera API especially if you are using MagiskSU as I'm using topjohnwu's libsu
I developed this app as I did not want to have 2 apps(Godly Torch and Shake Flashlight) for a simple purpose of torch

Great work bro.. works great.. :good:
You have to keep app running in background all the time to use it anytime or else have to open app then chop chop and flash is on. Can you make it available even if i kick the app out from recent menu. Whenever i kick it out it stops(thats the msg i get always). But as it is a beta version i think you are gonna fix this soon:Cheers:

I've developed it such that it keeps running even if you remove it from the recents menu. Force Stopping it or greenifying it will definitely stop chop chop.
You could add the torch tile quick setting to your top 6 settings so everytime you pull down the notification shade the Service is automatically started.
If it still doesn't work for you, I'll have to add a persistent notification which I personally don't like.
All this because Oreo does not allow services to run indefinitely in the background without showing a notification.
What ROM are you using?

I've developed it such that it keeps running even if you remove it from the recents menu. Force Stopping it or greenifying it will definitely stop chop chop.
You could add the torch tile quick setting to your top 6 settings so everytime you pull down the notification shade the Service is automatically started.
If it still doesn't work for you, I'll have to add a persistent notification which I personally don't like.
All this because Oreo does not allow services to run indefinitely in the background without showing a notification.

You are right, notification just sucks. Even if i dont clear app from recent menu it closes. Im on rr oreo and privacy gaurd is off for it
Thanks a lot for the app! I've locked the Moto torch app in the recents. And the app doesn't work in root mode, experiencing fc. When I try to open the app from the app drawer, it says permissions denied. I am using latest beta of Nova launcher prime.
Wow...its faster than ever....i am on rr oreo..and it works great...just hope no battery issues take place.
Nice work . Thanks a lot.
Im on Athene RR Oreo and when i try to open the App it says permission denied . I gave all Permission i think

The only permissions it's requesting for is Camera Permissions and Root permissions. If you have root access it's better to give it root permissions or just ignore those toast messages
I have added a new version which ignores doze optimizations to stay in memory.
I also added Crash Reporting so I can fix those FCs some of you are facing

Really useful app, keep on the good work :good:
The camera API option doesn't work for my device running Resurrection Remix 6 latest build and rooted using latest Magisk. The root mode does work, but it's a bit buggy. It works for not more than a few seconds after which the light turns off automatically. I tried using both the app versions.
Thanks for this , good work:good:

[APP][6.0+][ROOT]FDE.AI-v23.04.3 - Powerful AIO Android devices optimizer (20.04.2023)

ROOT access is required for this app!
This app automatically modifies wide range of low-level system parameters using ROOT access. By using this app you agree with EULA and any possible risks.
FeraDroid Engine (FDE) - an All-in-One ultimate optimizer for all devices running Android OS. All parameters are individual for EVERY device depending on it's hardware/software characteristics. All parameters are very balanced - you may gain performance without increase of power consumption AND reduce power consumption without losing performance. FDE.AI is totally compatible with very wide range of devices and Android OS versions. Very wide-range settings of OS and Linux kernel are configured, still being cross-platform utility, maximally compatible with all devices. FDE.AI applies configurations depending on hardware and software of device, so that in the end every device is configured individually. All applied changes are systemless (system partition is not touched). Some app features may not be supported on various CPUs/kernels.
Make a backup of your data just in case before installing this app. Don't use any other All-in-One tweakers with FDE.AI or things may get bad!

where is the link for downloading app?

No...it's not open source. He doesn't want to share his methods of 'machine learning' IIRC. I bought n tried v6.0.
I had been using L-Speed's 'Balanced' setting at the time. Tried FDE's performance setting...noticed no improvement. /js
Bump of this thread. Updated docs & info. Pushed v9.2 free version.
I'm using 9.2.4 and I've noticed one bug which might or might not be of pure visual nature. Anyway when I select an app to be preloaded, upon next reboot this app is replaced with the one listed just above it...
Hello I've bought and use the app for some time, overall it's pretty good. However I want to know more in details about some of the AI function/options that's not really explained everywhere in more detail (afaik), some clarification would be great
1. the difference between normal and alternate doze (how they works and stuff)
2. toggle bg apps kill (#killbgapps / #dontkillbgapps), what's this? what's the default config for fresh fde and what will it affect?
Hello.
I'm using Poco F1 , with Official corvus os and greenify and no other mods and stock kernel. I installed the free version and now my charging speed is way to slow after the installation.
While charging I switched of the phone, only to see the phone automatically trying to boot and then showing the charging logo, after seeing it, I disconnected the charger and booted into system.
Please help op if you could fix the charging issue, I would really love to buy it.

Will check that. Actually preload is dropped after reboot, so it should be enabled manually after every reboot. Thanks.

1. In first case used direct force deep doze mode. On some heavy modified systems like MIUI this causes various issues, so i came out with another method - dumpsys deviceidle step x3 times - this avoids direct force doze but makes it skip idle wait, motion sensor check steps & go directly to light doze - this way it doesn't conflict with nothing, but may not work as well as expected. Simply - use alternatedoze only if you have troubles with normal doze.
2. #killbgapps executes only once you type it - it doesn't do it automatically. Issued 'am kill-all' commad which is nearly same as you'd clear all your recents, while cached data is still in ram.

Hi, maybe try to change kernel - in last FDE versions I removed anything that can be related to charging. If you will buy pro version, you can get refund if things 'll go wrong & you want to uninstall it. Thanks.
Seems working
I think i see some differences
Android 10 keeps applying restrictions for the app not use battery in background, after every reboot of the system, should I worry about that? Also, can I leave fde in that "optimized" list in settings/battery management?
Fde is amazing , thanks!
Has the paid version been removed from play store?
I can only find the lite version.

Looks that way, followed a link from google search and linked to "page not found". I uninstalled it due to a bug that made bluetooth skip alot. Sucks cause it was great when it worked. Wish I would of backed it up.
