About:-
Bhel kernel is directly from CyanogenMod msm8226 kernel with custom features added by me.
My aim is to provide users a stable kernel(3.42) and stable toolchain(gcc 4.8) without any optimization flags or something else while not compromising about the features.I will try my level best to keep my kernel as simple as possible with all the required features keeping both performance and battery in mind.
I will not add d2w,s2w or anything related to it in future builds neither make another version with d2w

Yes, that's true. In many Rom/kernel configurations v4a conflicts with fauxsound. It's been reported from time to time.

tested now for two days and it's running very good on exodus. ui reactions like they should be,snappy and smooth. using interactiv govenor and fiops io 512kb, everything else untouched

Thanks.. I will try to do it with TWRP Recovery.. If I would back up only 'boot' excluding system and data and cache too, it will work fine.. Does this kernel support double tap to wake?

Thanks for the CPU OC! I've also always wanted this out of custom kernels for the 2015 G: Higher GPU clock speeds; 465 MHz doesn't seem to cut it sometimes. Maybe 510-550 MHz?

Works great but i have the same problem about the governors, i can´t find them

governers not showing in kernel auditor will be fixed in next update

I am having problem in removing System app.
i tried Link2SD and System app remover with magisk,again with supersu....but problem contiues....i have attached the error message.
I had this prob when i swiped Carbon rom.
after i swiped Rremix there was no problem.
Now i swiped Omni but this problem.
please help me,this is good rom and want to use daily.

Almost any Custom Rom have the same issue, camcorder. Some have dark video/image, others even Not record. MIUI camera app has solved part of that issues but its not perfect (HDR not working or work with decolored image)... My Question, have this Rom this trouble/bugs too? Its the only Reason couse I back to MIUI again....

Due to strict sepolicy you can't do it. If you want to remove any system app use root explorer or use twrp file manager to delete them It's not issue, its more security for you guys

Thank OP for this. Hi OP. There many GPU governors included. Which one on those are highly recommended if i want to good graphics with minimal battery useage?
Update: i tried changing gpu goverbor using kernel aduitor but it just crashed, phone restarted and gpu governor stayed at stock.

Can you try to unlock the cpu/gpu freqs? I know the 636 is just an 660 underclocked. It would be awesome if we would atleast be able to clock our gpu higher than the stock 430mhz. It's pretty slow(gpu)
I(for one) don't really care about battery/sot. Everything that's past 6 hours is ok for me, so I would love to be able to clock my gpu a little higher.

I just want to report. Deepsleep is so slow and temperature is quite high. I can feel it warmer than stock kernel. Hope it will be fixed soon. But nevertheless, great to see MIUI kernel.

Useable governor is powersave, simple_ondemand, msm_adreno_tz, the others is just additional for msm_adreno_tz, next version will use whitelist, so people that curious like you can't change unstable/unuseable governor xD

Deepsleep is fine, and temperature is same like stock, i don't change anything in thermal,.
Check your wakelock probably social media apps could cause that.

Switched to another Kernel. Working fine. Waiting for open global MIUI 10 and trying stormguard again. Using stormguard on rn4x since ages )

The name "stormguard" is from the Vainglory game right? XD

Sorry, yeah deepsleep is fine. But i only get around 60 to 70%
Btw, camera is fine in my rn5 ai with miui10 global

Anyone who is using can give review of battery and performance of this kernel?

I'm using this kernel on Mido and it's absolutely my favourite choice! Unfortunatly on Whyred I've got problems with brightness cause it's always super bright also if I remove autobrightness or if I take it to lower values. I'm on latest MIUI 10 global fresh clean install.

ABOUT:
This is my personal kernel project, which I looked to be a stable kernel for daily usage, with useful features only, and to have a half term under performance and battery life for Xiaomi msm8996 devices. Inspired by projects like Flash Kernel and ElementalX Kernel

PROJECT GOALS:
Keep kernel up-to-date with lastest stable Linux Kernel version (3.18.123)
Offer the user the best balance between battery life and performance
Just useful features. Features may be included only as needed (Read FAQ section to know the features that I won't add in anyway)

1. A: No.
Q: Could you include feature x,y and z in your kernel please?
2. A: If you link me the commits or tell me what kernel you had the feature in, I can take a look at them. I won't promise that I will merge every request but I will always take it into consideration. I will NOT add:
Overclock or underclock of the CPU and GPU (Except for the cases that the device has a underclock on both or in just one, then it'll be considered)
Undervolt
Any other governors except the "kernel stock" ones
Any feature that just one or two people is going to use

3. A: I'm not an amazing kernel developer but I will certainly try my best. First, start by reading the release posts, as I may make note of a particular issue. Also search the thread to see if I have discussed it before. If you see nothing, please provide me with a dmesg/last_kmsg and logcat, your ROM/kernel version, and a detailed description of the issue. 4. A: Stop right there. The Kernel doesn't drain any battery, use an app like BetterBatteryStats to figure out what app is screwing with your phone. If verified the clocks are always online and on the max clock, then it'll checked out what's happen. Anyway logs are necessary.

You are free to use the kernel if you want. The only thing that I'll request to do it's to keep the kernel name. If you have modified something, just add a "-Mod" in the final of the kernel name or anything that states that the kernel has been modified, not by me, but by ROM maintainer.

Found a small bug. With kernel there is no battery stats in settings. It's shown "no data".

Okay, according to some people, that's happening in all Pie ROMs with FloppyKernel too, so might be a ROM bug when changing the kernel. Nothing to worry, as it returns too after some time.

I was running a pie ROM, I like it but not as good as Oreo because Oreo has more rom features. I flashed EAS I hope I get amazing battery life, fingers crossed!
