[Q] Flashtool problem-xperia j-any help ! Please

i connected my xperia j to pc and launch flashtool.it says
ERROR - Drivers need to be installed for connected device.
ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool.
i did everything.but not working yet.any solution.i m dying for it. i need it badly.PLEASE !!!!!!!!!

Its clear mention that u need to install drivers for your device..

here they are you have to manualy install them. Download attached file extract the zip open flashtool folder open devices folder and paste the ftd file there then open flashtool click divices tab then import then xperia j drivers will pop up click and install them

You must install drivers in flash tool for fast boot then for xperia j

Hi. I will do that tomorrow (I already tried device drivers included on flashtool).
My question: I installed CM on the device, and now I dont have 3G network working.
By having CM, is there any possibility of this is the root cause of not recognizing the device?
Can I flash radio fw or something like that? Or I have to revert to stock completelly?
Can I flash stock with clockwork?

hello excuse me, I have downloaded from the sony fw 11.3.A.0.47.tar how to install the tar format? Sorry I would like to reinstall the previous firmware to try to get root and install the rom z-fusion as the root 11.3.A.2.13 not work.

Extract the rar file, it should give you a .ftf file

I opened the tar file folders as full screenshot. the ftf with him to the fw xxxx.13ce for this reason do not understand why the sony from the files downloaded in tar.bz2 format if you can not install grrrrr

That Firmware is a source code dump not an ftf or file you can flash its for developers my friend.

These are files to be used for recompiling a ROM.
Try searching for ftf file of your choice

Just download the file from xperifirm and convert it to ftf by using Sony flashtool

It's a better way than just renaming ftf to zip but his problem is that Flashtool doesn't work on his PC
@Chronoxl, You can try to convert it with an Android Kitchen tool like "Assayyed kitchen" from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ch...-android-roms-editor-assayyedkitchen-t3410545
I use it to convert elf boot to img but not tried to convert the whole firmware, it works for others Xperia.

XZ3 ftf firmware with flashtool 0.9.25

to create ftf firmware with flashtool you need to change some parameters and use this script file that lets you recognize xz3 on flashtool (it doesn't support this model yet) but we make it work
1. in Flashtool disable Auto Devices Sync
2. download this file - search for you tube Sony XPERIA XZ3 is supported by Flashtool
3. copy it to you flashtool/devices/H82xx folder (overwrite file here)
Sony XPERIA XZ3 is almost same like XPERIA XZ2, so i am using exactly same flashing script, but i add corresponding version XPERIA XZ3 to H82XX prop file.
tested on my xz3 h8416

I tried to flash the firmware no brand for my XZ3 brand Tim, but it give me this error: ERROR - No flash script found. Flash script is mandatory.
Does anyone know why?

i refer to use H84XX files from device folder to create a H9493 FTF file.
In H84XX.properties :
variant=H8416
realname=Sony Xperia XZ3
My device is H9493.
Some chance to brick it?

I have Downloaded the 52.0.A.8.131 fw from XperiCheck, extract file and use 52.fsc to create a H9493 device folder. Renamed H84XX.properties file to H94XX.properties and change its contents from H8416 to H9493 and real Name as XZ3 Dual. On FlashTools i disable automatic devices sync and put the H9493 folder on Flashtools devices structure. Close and Reopen FlashTools and now i was able to create my bundle for H9493 and flash it on my device.
I send my modded folder if someone need it too.

I created properties and 52.fsc with pc companion for H9436 (52.0.A.8.131) If anyone needs it
Just go in C:\Users\[username]\.flashTool\devices and extract the folder there

Hey, I was following this thread, because I had the same problem as you. I have the AU version of the device (SOV39) and it was full of bloatware.
If your goal is just to remove the bloatware, I found this guide:

It worked like a charm, I got rid of the disaster app, device care, pre-installed SwiftKey keyboard etc. and basically everything pre-installed. I even managed to remove the separate AU settings entry altogether. The only thing remaining is the branded boot screen. The device also runs MUCH smoother now, so I highly recommend it.

Anyone can help me with creating script for H9436 for latest RU firmware??
Problem is I cannot use pc campanion with my phone, because phone is restarts whole time witout stoping and doesn't see sim card. Flashtool asking script/Plz help. my email: [email protected]

Are You joking?
I read the instructions and did so
Crashes an error: "No flash script found. Flash script is mandatory" so I wrote a post.
I even changed the file name from H82xx to H84xx and placed it in a directory "H84xx" but still crashes the same error.
maybe install an older version?

I searched youtube by typing: "Sony XPERIA XZ3 is supported by Flashtool" and there was a link with the H82XX.properties file under the movie so I downloaded it.
And now tell me what to do with it since I have XZ3 i.e. H84XX and not H82XX, where I should put it?

download it put it in the folder:
flashtool / devices / H82xx
folder that I have indicated and you have to flash the firmware as if it were an XZ2
but I would not want the problem to be the wrong firmware

ok but my firmware is for H84XX so how to change it to H82XX
