RedMi Note 3 Pro & Gear Fit2 connection - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Accessories

I own the following devices.
Xiaomi RedMi Note 3 Pro
android 5.1.1LMY47V
MIUI 7.5.1.1
Gear Fit2 SM-R360
software R360XXU1BPG3eChO
I installed the
Gear 2.2.16101261
Gear Fit2 Plugin 2.2.04.16111741N
Samsung accessory service 3.1.26_161116
I perform the pairing proccess from gear app where it normally sees the request and then the gear (app from mobile) is closed without any message and gear fit2 stays on screen writing "setting up" where nothing else happening and at the end sent message that "the setting has lasted more than expected. Do you want to try again; "
For the above issue I have tried the following:
1)
Remove all Samsung app's
cache cleaning
Factory reset gear fit2
Reinstalling app's
2)
Remove all Samsung app's
cache cleaning
Factory reset gear fit2
Reinstalling previous versions
Please HELP

My pebble kept disconnecting. I think it was due to permissions. I'd recommend making sure the gear fit app can autostart, use Bluetooth and stay active.

Stuck at connecting to gear

hello all,
i dont know what i was thinking when i forced closed gear app and it services, and the Samsung accessory service as well, and now my i cant connect to my gear anymore
i have done a light reset and factory reset to my gear s2, and am not able to make it to connect again to my note 3 anyway
also i have uninstalled the gear app and reinstalled again and unpairing the watch , but still its not connecting, it is getting stuck at connecting to gear ,
i tried connecting the gear to other phone it worked, but with my note it is not working , any suggestions ?
***Update - Never mind fixed it by a factory reset of my phone
Connecting to phone with S2
I try to make a phone call from my watch and get the message "connect to bluetooth" I touch the tick for yes and my watch and phone are connected straight away. It never seems to connect otherwise, but connects every time this way, so that's what I do. Wrong way, but it works
Geoffpops
For Future Reference - Ideal way to reconnect if you face issues
Ideally, you would not need a full reset of your phone, clearing the data of all the following should work fine -
1) Gear Manager
2) Samsung Accessory Service
3) Samsung Accessory System Providers

[Q] unable to pair Gear 2 (Tizen) with S8+

Got my S8+ at launch, reset my Gear 2 running Tizen and quickly had it paired using both the Gear app and Samsung Health.
Everything was running just fine until a about a week ago when the pairing stopped. I decided to reset the Gear 2 and re-pair it to my S8+.
After several unsuccessful tries, here's what happens:
1. Reboot phone and wait for boot to complete.
2. Start the Gear app (v2.2.17022862) on the phone.
3. From the Gear app select "Connect new Gear."
4. Power on the Gear 2 and select "Next / Next"
5. Back to the app on the phone select "Gear 2 (XXXX)"
6. Get a Blue tooth pairing request on both devices and confirm on both of them.
7. The Gear 2 shows "Waiting for confirmation from Gear Manager" and the Gear app on the phone shows "Connecting to Gear..."
8. Minutes pass and nothing else happens.
IOW, the Bluetooth pairing is successful but the actual link between the devices never finishes.
Any idea what I might try next to get this working?
TIA,
RIch
Having similar issue. eventually got a connection failed. This worked originally then I did the OTA update (I have an unlocked S8+) and the Bluetooth started acting up.
One post said unpair everything and now I cant get the phone to reconnect. Eventually Bluetooth recognizes the Gear2 and the Gear Manager (as disconnected).... and the watch stays in that factory reset mode.
Not sure exactly how, but I got mine working. After unpairing the Bluetooth connection, I also cleared the cache and data on both the Samsung Gear app and the Samsung Health app then removed both apps from my S8+ rebooting many times along the way. After reinstalling the Gear app and the Health app I was able to eventually get the pairing to be successful.
Sorry I can offer better detailed guidance. I hope you get yours working again too.
Thanks... I tried clearing S-Health's\Samsung Connect cache, unpairing the watch, deleting Gear Manager, and restarting. That didn't work. I'll give it another try.
Just out of curiosity, have you disabled anything like Bixby or Svoice? I have both disabled... I tried reenabling them before but that didn't help.
Nope. While I don't use either, both Bixby and SVoice remain active. Sorry I can't help more.

Gear 2 connects to bluetooth on LG V20 but not to the Gear App

I have a LG V20, and a Gear 2 Neo.
The Gear 2, screen says “To connect your Gear, first download Samsung Gear via Samsung GALAXY Apps on your mobile device.” - done… I have the Samsung Gear app on the phone.
From the Samsung Gear app, I try to “Connect To Gear”, and after the searching process the response is “No Gear devices After you turn on your Gear devices, they will be shown here. If your Gear is powered on properly but not shown here, go to Settings > Gear info, then select Reset Gear on the Gear to reset it to its factory default settings.” - done…I have reset the Gear 2 to factory settings multiple times, however the app is still not connecting.
The phone Bluetooth and the Gear 2 bluetooth pair with zero issues.
I have also attempted to go through the ‘download’ process from the settings on the Gear 2. This ‘downloading’ processed for about 9-10 hours and did not finish. I had to turn off the Gear.
How can I get the two devices to connect? From the internet, I believe that that Gear 2 should work with the LG V20.
It's annoying.
On my Moto DT2, I found I had to completely unpair my phone from my S2 using the phone's Bluetooth settings, reboot and start completely from scratch.
I cleared all data from all Samsung apps, uninstalled them, rebooted, and then just followed the prompts from the S2 and then the apps.
If you pair your phone with your S2 first BEFORE using the apps, it won't work.
With the latest app updates, I don't have to go through that process as often.
I do lose my connection more often, but just pressing Connect in the app restores it.
Hope that helps.

Pairing with a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

Hi,
I am trying to pair a Redmi Note 4 with a Samsung Gear S2 watch.
I've installed "Galaxy Wearable" app, "Gear S Plugin" and "Samsung accessory service" on the phone.
The phone finds the watch and starts pairing. They exchange PINs and I accept pairing with the same BT pin code.
Then it starts pairing process but it never ends.
What is wrong ?

Since no one answered. I will start with the basics. Have you reset the watch? Maybe try clearing apps caches for the 3 apps and any bluetooth related apps.
I have somewhere in this thread a link to versions of the apps needed as well. You might try those.
Maybe even try pairing in bluetooth settings first then gear app.
From my understanding it can be real finicky with non Samsung's.

which thread ?
the process requires resetting the watch so I did not reset additionally (maybe hard reset would help, I'll try)
I've deleted and reinstalled all 3 apps, so that covers clearing the cache and data of apps.
what else can I try ?

Question Can't pair galaxy watch 5 with redmi phone

Hi Everyone,
I have a Redmi K30 ultra using CN MIUI13 with google service enabled, but i can't pair my phone with galaxy 5.
I tried pair them using Samsung wearable giving all permision to the app, but i got below message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
Also i tried pair with samsung health(giving all permission) from accessories(Settings -> Accessories -> Smartwatch -> Register). After registered samsung account, the app crashed and give me this error:
The last one i tried was using Wear OS of china version. but it just stopped in the pair process.
Pluging installed:
Someone know why i can't pair them?
Thanks
There's something went wrong with compatibility, I guess. Try Restarting both devices and try again.
For testing you can try with another devices.
I had the same problem using a Realme GT (CN version) and a Watch 4. It could be because of Google Services that the chinese phones haven't. In my case, I got solved doing the follow.
1- You must have installed the Galaxy Wearable app and the Watch 5 plug in. I saw that you already have.
2 - I thinks that the problem is that the watch can't pair when you use the Waer app, but when you try to pair using the Wear OS app (CN version), you watch should be able to pair with your phone, so in this moment you have to try to start with the start the pair process with the Galaxy Wearable (you don't close the Waer OS, leave it in background).
This worked for me. I hope you can do it.
Sorry my english.

Hi ljleonardo1,
I tried with your way and i got the same error using samsung health app to pair then
it's said Couldn't set up your watch
When I tried the first time, I putted the code to pair it and got the message "The watch ins't support in this phone", but when started the same process with the Wear OS (CN version) I could pair the watch (the process stopped in the same place that you, but I checked in the bluetooth menu of Android, scrolling down, and I saw that it was pair). In this moment I tried with the Galaxy Wearable again and I could pair it.

it still doesn't work for me, after log in samsung account, the galaxy watch 5 plugin is just crashed and give me an error.
I had the same issues pairing the watch with my Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. Tried everything for days with no success. A hard reset of my phone was the solution.

I also tried a hard reset but it's doesn't work for me. but i tried with my friend's phone which has same model as mine. he has MIUI stable version(i have beta version).
When pairing his phone with samsung wearable, the plugin wasn't start up and i couldn't do the following step. I will tried again when i swapped to stable version in my phone.
Maybe that's the solution then. Good luck!
** Please note, this guide was initially written for the GW4, but I suspect it is also likely to work for the GW5 **
Try this, in this EXACT order:
You have to install the following apps from Playstore less No.4:
1. Samsung Gear (Samsung wearable)
2. Samsung Watch 5 plugin
3. Samsung Health (SHealth)
4. Chinese version Wear OS (From appmarket)
Once the above are installed. Reset or reinitialize your watch, wait for the "Welcome" intro to start. Open up SHealth app -> click on 3 dot on the top right -> settings -> accessories -> Select Galaxy Watch 5 or Watch 5 Pro to pair up. Follow the setup accordingly. It's optional to sign in to SHealth for your watch btw. Everything will work flawlessly after that.
After you're done with the setup, close all apps via recent and you can launch Samsung Gear as per normal. If you're experiencing intermittent disconnectivity, launch Samsung Gear and lock the app in recents. Do not kill the app. I have not experienced any battery drain from it so far.
DO NOT uninstall the chinese version of the Wear OS under any circumstances. It will disconnect your watch and you won't be able to pair it back. Which means you have to unpair via SHealth, reset your watch and go through the entire setup again.

Hi Tim,
I tried with your way and still doesn't work for me, i got the same error mentioned before
Guys I found the way. I have a Remdi Note 9. I booted into safe mode, I went and just paired the phone with the watch from the Bluetooth settings. It finished successfully. Then I rebooted into the regular mode, and went on the Wear app. I tried syncing them and it just succeeded!!!!!

Hi Alexandros,
How did you pair them? i tried pair them in safe mode, i paired succefuly in bluetooth setting, but in the watch screen show the message "check your phone to complete setup" . After returned into the regular mode , the watch just show the message that connection is failed and force me to reset.
I am having the same problem with Realme 8 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro
I tried the solutions above and they did not work, samsung support just says that I must use a samsung cell phone

After pairing them I restarted both. Sorry for not being clear.
I have swapped to stable version and tried again all above solutions and they didn't work.
i use to use a galaxy watch 4 with a oppo find N (China Rom) and had the same issues and used the workaround posted earlier but i found this didnt work with the watch 5. What i had todo was as per below. Hope it might help:
China Wear OS installed (location permission given but dont open)
Samsung Health from Playstore
Galaxy Wear (from Oppo appmarket)
Didnt install galaxy watch plugin.
I went through samsung health to initiate the pairing with the GW5. This opens the wearable app which then updates automatically to latest version (same as playstore), and then downloads the necessary watch plugin and everything paired fine.
Before this i had tried everything but i think the key is to NOT have the watch 5 plugin installed when you start pairing via samsung health.
So far all seems fine with my china rom phone.
Good luck!

also make sure all background data for the 4 apps is allowed, and no battery optimisations for wear and watch plugin.
Appreciate the walkthrough.... I have a Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 but cant connect it with my Watch 5 Pro. The steps, chinese wear os, not installing the watch 5 plugin, and trying to orsi thru samsung health got me closer than ever, but alas, still csnt successfully pair the watch yet. Any tips?
Same story here, I have Xiaomi 12s Ultra and yesterday got Watch 5 Pro, tried all seps mentioned above but simply no success in connecting it with Galaxy Werable app. For me bluetooth pairing is not an issue, get it paired easily via Werable app process or via Health app, but simply further steps during setup process don't pass and can finish setup/connecting phone to the app...
I still have Galaxy Watch Active 2 which works fine, even with that watch there were few issues with connecting it with Xiaomi but it was more or less easy solved, but with this new Watch 5 Pro, for now I don't see solution
