tested again, and in fact i do not have google assistant.
yerteday's test i installed in addition get assistant from playstore and then got issue, uninstalled it, and still got assistant but again with issue
without get assistant i have a working ok google (goole now)

It didnt work in my own language (Dutch)
So i put it into English, and it worked.
Downside part now is: have to talk English xD

thats the mistake,, flashing the zip should acctivate assistant.. and other apps will interfere and cause problems

which ROM did you use and what did you flash (steps) please ?
i tried on RR, flashed only assistant -> no assistant (only google now)
i tried also flashed mod_pexo no assistant + flash assistant -> no assistant (only google now)
so i dont know what i missed

you gotta update google to latest version
then once launch google now (screen search)
then clear the data of google app
reboot
now it should be working
if it doesnt, send me the stock build.prop (only stock) i will provide you a patch to test

You have to edit the language settings in the google tab to make it work.
I just dirty flashed the lineage os version on Cosmic os rom.

Yes and no. The base is the same, but this rom is fully optimized, faster and stable. This rom scores 5000 more on Antutu, and this is enough proof. I have not tested xposed, but should be work with no issues. Lang: EN, RU, CH

For those having problems with Play Store, XDA member @gregorecki21 has suggested me to edit the hosts file in system/etc because it has entries from the adfree application and therefore the connection is blocked. To do it, delete everything and paste this at the first line: " 127.0.0.1 localhost". (without quotes)
You can do it directly from your phone by doing the following:
1. Download Total Commander from the Play Store
2. Install it in your Device.
3. Open Total Commander and goto Root of System. (/ )
4. Open the etc folder.
5. Find the file named "hosts", and hold it for 3 seconds. Choose edit file, and choose Total Commander Text Editor if prompted.
6. Delete everything and paste this at the first line: " 127.0.0.1 localhost". Copy it exactly, dont modify anything.
7. Save the file and overwrite if needed.
Hopefully this will work. Please report if it's working.

I don't like hangouts dealing with my SMS I been trying the new goggle messenger and it seems better but that's just a detail.

Hi, im thinking about installing this rom, but id like to know how much does the battery lasts, and how does location services and gps works.....
Im currently with b115 after trying stock b509, b703, b709, and batty´s B709, and they all had bugs, like low volume, too much LAG, bad gps.... If this new rom proves stability, good performance and good battery life, i will use it.

I know it, the xposed installer in this rom are a moded one.
The update doesnt work in this rom.

For xposed to work you only need to change the value in line hwtheme in build.prop as I said early.

Hi!
Yes, I already searched the web and tried many different things. When I go to Settings -> Account Settings -> Google -> *my email adress*, there is no option to sync calendar. When I start the calendar app and try to add something it crashes. Reinstalling gapps didn't work, reinstalling the rom didn't help.

Install as any other ROM
Below guide is inspired from this CM13 post.
Unlock the Bootloader (Fastboot Mode = Vol. Up + Power)(Command: fastboot oem unlock)
* Flash a custom recovery (Command: fastboot flash recovery name.recovery.img)
Download AICP ROM and Open GApps (ARM64/7.1) and copy to the phone
Reboot to Recovery (Vol. Down + Power)
Do a Full Wipe (will delete everythings so make a copy of your file to the microSD card)
Flash AICP ROM
Flash GApps
Reboot the phone and wait (the first time will take a bit of time)
* Using twrp 3.0.2-0, there will be 2 red error lines when flashing - just ignore.

Looks good to me, even though I don't know the recovery. It should work, since it works for CM13.
However, you can try with the official twrp. That's the one I link to from OP.

@Osleg reported rotating issue in the CM thread. I had it once on this ROM as well.
I was messing with stuff in "Developer options" and at a point the rotation totally broke. I wasn't able to revert the setting, so I flashed the ROM again and have not had the problem again.
I suspect the "Multi window mode" broke it, but it could be other things like a bad behaving theme.
Could you think of any specific changes you have made previous to your broken rotation ?
Aside from that, the build has been stable for me since 22. Feb.

I didn't make any significant change in &"developer" section and for sure I didn't touch the multi window thing.. yesterday I installed the new nightly but I still have same issue.. did you activate again developers mode?

Thanks. There may be something here on CMs Gerrit. We are not alone. Im thinking our v3.10 kernel or the vendor blobs are not yet able to cope 100% with MM and need some workarounds.
It will be fixed.
Installed and loving it, great rom compliments to the dev.

I don't know about moving apps yet. But you should be able to format the sdcard as ext4 and use it as internal data. I think you get the option to chose the first time you mount the sdcard. I'm sure there is a guide somewhere

Just got the latest from apkmirror once installed it shows in play store then when you uninstall on play store you get the option to install the 5.x.x version which works fine. I think the 6.x.x version is for the nexus at the moment.

There's almost no pre-install apps in this ROM,you can try it yourself.
Fantastic Bar means your status bar will auto adjust color,but not working very well.
Ok so I tried this. I'm very impressed. I really like it.
Just tell me there are new builds coming... and can be installed by dirty flash or even better, auto uptades (OTA).

Yep agreed...the rom is too gud..but r u having this issue like notification of apps like whatsapp fb insta or tg doesnt appear as long as we open the app..like it kinda gets greenified...so we dont recieve mssgs unless we open the app...If yes then hope it gets sorted out soon [emoji111]

Use Firefox. You will be able to play videos even when screen is off. Like listening to YouTube music without paying for YouTube Red?

It's my first success porting work,so I am not good at version update and OTA update.
FIUI has suspended ROM update for FIUI based on Android Lollipop currently.

After flash rom,you should boot your phone and make sure it is able to use,then reboot to recovery mode flash gapps.

Hi everyone, I have prepared this noob-friendly guide for booting Q GSI
Guide made for J4+ and J6+
Confirmed working GSIs (remember to download ARM a-only):
AOSP by Phh (only vanilla! Install OpenGapps for gapps) https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/releases

OpenGapps Android 10 ARM
Guide:
1) Start from clean stock One UI rom (so reflash LATEST firmware from Odin)
2) Install a custom recovery
3) From TWRP, format /data, then wipe system, vendor, cache and dalvik
4) Flash Lineage OS 16.0 ROM from MacTavishAO
5) Flash Q GSI
6) Go to Wipe > Advanced > select system > Advanced > repair and resize partition 2 or 3 times (until it doesn't say no more errors)
7) (optional) Flash GApps (only pico or nano version, other version can't boot)
8) Reboot and hope
9) Done

Replace AOSP search bar in home and restore Google one:
1) Disable "Search" app
2) Install Google app (link: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-search/ download lastest APK for armeabi-v7 nodpi)
3) Reboot
Force dark mode on all apps:
1) Enable developer options
2) Enable "Force dark mode override"
3) Done (note that some app can have graphical issues)
If you want to select only some app to be forced, use DarQ (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-darq-app-selectable-force-dark-t3944356), it's a great app, it need root

You mean Google login? If yes, then we need a fix from Phhusson, the GSI developer, it's a known issue already reported, so we need to wait, for now you can use alternative App store like f-droid or aptoide

I also noticed that there is a problem with safety net cts profile does not pass and netflix does not launch I think it's because of it if possible to make a fix please I'm a big user of netflix

The kernel is made only for android pie, it doesn't work, even if I skipped this step there is no luck of booting up.

No, It work with Q, but the installer check Android version, so it lock the installation

Theoretically yes, but trying to open gestures menu it freeze, don't know if exist an adb command to enable this
