Screen protectors - Huawei Mate 9 Accessories

Hi,
Tempered glass is already available for Huawei Mate 9 from Nillkin.
H+ Pro (0.2mm, 2.5D)
http://nillkin.org/smartphones-acce...ate-9-accessories/nillkin-huawei-mate-9-h-pro
H (0.3mm, without 2.5D - straight edges)
http://nillkin.org/smartphones-acce...ei-mate-9-accessories/nillkin-huawei-mate-9-h
There are also available screen protector films (Matte & Clear).
I can recommend this site as I'm using 1+3 H+ Pro & case from there.
Waiting my Mate 9 arrival by pre-order.

Not a fan of temp glass, prefer the films. Looking those you shared over to see if they handle the 2.5 D glass edges, annoying when they don't. Thanks for info.
*Edit*. Checked those films in the OP, they do not cover the 2.5 D edges.

Thats why I actually used the word "Contact" as opposed to "Search".

For my LG G4 i have a Skinomi Matteskin Full body, a TPU screen protector. I am so totally satisfied with it, well beyond expectation, it blocks all glares and still gives 100% contrast and visibility on your display.
For my new Mate 9, I am waiting Skinomi to release the same full body matte screen protector: it will be available from 1 jan 2017.
http://www.skinomi.com/sk27479-matte-mate-9-phone-skin-protector.html

A thin film protector is the best for curved displays. In that case Gadgetshieldz would be a good choice of thin film protector.
http://www.gadgetshieldz.com/huawei-mate-9-screen-protectors-covers-cases.html

When u put the glass screen protector did you get bubbly edges since the device is slightly curved on the edges? I would buy this if it doesn't get bubbles on edge. Otherwise, I would go with thin screen protector.

You made me laugh soo hard:laugh:

FYI I have tried THREE different tempered glass screen protectors that claimed they were for the Mate 9 and they do NOT fit. They are way too small on the edges top, and bottom. I would guess they are really for the Mate 9 Pro. Luckily Amazon gives full refunds with no hassle. Anyway, these are the products to NOT get for the Mate 9:

I got this one and it fits well.

Any new screen protectors recommendations? Thanks!

Getting this one today. Will update when I get home and installed.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N...F8&qid=1483638849&sr=2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65
Finally got this one in and installed. Actually covers the edges better than I thought. Problem is, cant put a case on now. Everything peels the screen protector off.
The part that covers the screen is glass but the black part is flexible plastic. Little bit of glue stuff around the edges of screen but not noticeable when off.
Picks up every finger print in the world. Sending back asap.

Can you fit a tpu type case with this screen protector?

Guys just one question. My Huawei comes with a thin screen protector, it's good or should I replace it?

Keep it on until we all find a good replacement.

I wonder what benefit i get from glas / film protectors? Does it offer additonal protection from cracks if im already using a good case ?
And scratches should be no problem for a hardened display?

Tempered glass

Anyone know of a Tempered Glass protector that goes reasonably close to the edges? I have this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017D763IK/ and it is terrible. Bunch of space around the edges and halo effect.
You won't find any that goes to the edge per the curve
But I've been using this for a few weeks and it has minimal halo effect (possibly none had I aligned it perfectly)

I ordered these and they fit great. They fit just to the edge of the display panel which is how it should be or else there will be halo because the glass starts to curve after that.

I ordered the Skinomi one. Should have it before the weekend. The pics in the link look like they managed to cover it properly. Will post my thoughts on it when it arrives.

Buy a nilkin 9 h+. It's as close to the edges as you'll get on the screen, and it has a 2.5D edge, making it smooth. No complains with my tempered glass as I knew this would happen with a 2.5D glass phone.

Those were not 2.5D. IPhone 6 onwards is, and it uses smaller screen protectors too due to the curves at the edges of the screen. Even galaxy edge products. Nothing can't be done about that as the glue won't stick on curved glass. I wouldn't call it an "issue". It's very basic imo.
I'll try adding pictures, but you can also check them out on the nillkin website. Those are very accurate. The actual product is exactly like that portrayed on the website.

I just bought two of the Mr. Shield tempered glass protectors for me and the wife's phones. It goes all the way to the edge of the (very) small black borders of the display. No air bubbles, and very easy to apply. Cost 8 dollars each and came in 2 days with Prime.

What's your Essential PH-1 protection?

This is what I went with initially
Skin: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075B4BSS8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Screen: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075VMCN1J/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
My take on things, The screen protector is working great and comes with black borders so it's hard to mess up ad no halo effect. The skin on the back will do for now, fits perfectly but I really need Ringke Fusion case for this baby.
So what is your choice?
I went with the Phantom Skin. Lifetime replacement. It is only scratch protection, but I rarely drop my phone. It is, for all intents and purposes, invisible.
Dbrand skin and Ozero tempered glass.

Can you post a photo of the screen protector? I'm concerned on the bottom chin part of the phone. The Orzero looks like the corners are rounded while the PH-1 is not. The Orzero in the photo makes it look like a Galaxy which I hate.

Nillkin tempered glass Oneplus 6

Hi, just found Nillkin finally made H+ pro 0.2mm thin glass for Oneplus 6, ordered one, customer support replied it's in stock. I can recommend it, their Oneplus 3T glass is one of best I tried.
https://nillkin.org/smartphones-acc...oneplus-6-accessories/nillkin-oneplus-6-h-pro
They wrote the size of glass: 68.9mm / 149.016mm
Seem to be done with precision.

Best brand for tempered glasss
just bought 2 off ebay
reviews please. i need to know if it provides full coverage without the "halo" effect
the nillkins I've used are usually smaller than the screen and significantly so. I had the one for the 5T and it's quite a bit smaller than the screen. how is it for the 6?
Lmao you questions are worthless this person doesn't even have this screen protector yet and they are recommending only based off brand name.
I just ordered this tempered glass , I will post some photos when I receive it.
It was the best tempered glass I used on my old nexus 6p, so I have high expectations for this one too
I wish someone made a curved glass protector for OnePlus.

How long I will have to wait for package if I order this glass on Nillkin site?
Shipment to Poland.
I wonder which version to choose pro or no pro.
Version no pro is thicker than pro. So I think that will be better protection. Yes? Are any disadvantages?

I always use the nillkin tempered glass h9+ and i can say it's a very nice product. I've just saw a youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brFqXYgTkLs) showing the oneplus oem temperd glass screen protector and the man in the video when finished, had many bubbles on the screen. He had difficulties to stick the screen protector on the right corner. Maybe it's his fault maybe the oneplus screen protector quality but when i've used the nillkin, i had to let the glass falling on the phone screen and the job was made alone (automaticaly) without any bubble or anything other. Never played withe bubbles using a knife, a credit card or other thing to remove the bubble lol. In any case i don't know what to expect from this nillkin tempered glass for oneplus 6 because i've not choosen this solution. I will wait for a full body tpu case (front and back) like i had on my last phone.
P.S : this another man had a better results but again he had to use a tool to remove bubbles : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3BCfHMCydU

MiiKare full coverage pet film protector.

Ordered this item without any research while my note 9 was ordered back in 8/19. Tried it on today and was generally pleased with the outcome for a wet applied pet film . You get two front screen protectors and a leather textured type rear back protector which really feels good in the hands, reminds me of the note 3 and 4.
The edge gaps are minimul, yet it works without lifting the protector when using a Official Samsung rugged case or Ringke Wave case. Nice and smooth also.
All in all thumbs up and a win for 11$.
Side note. I'm not affiliated with this company nor do I receive any kickbacks from them. Just merely expressing and sharing my opinion for other curved screen pained customers.

Greetings. Does the fingerprint scanner work well with the glass?
Cheers, I've got a random tempered glass off Amazon, for about 9€ for two pieces. It doesn't seem to affect the fp-reader. Though I get mixed results overall. I hope going to eu rom improves the reliability. It feels a bit hit or miss. But thats not the glass' fault
I bought Nillkin XD MAX Full Coverage Screen Protector.
Looks good !

Does it cover curved edges? (I mean, is there any space around the tempered glass?)

Yes it is cover, and case friendly.
Maybe slightly smaller at the corners (~0.5mm)
Hello
I've used "A-VIDET temperd glass Mi 9T" on Amazon (ASIN : B07SM81G7Q) and no problem ! They give an "oil" to prevent white edge !

Hi all,
did anyone find a full-cover / 3D protector that doesn't cut away some pixels at the edge of the display? Seems all of the full cover screen protectors have this issue. I wish there was an alternative. I'm using the official case so I don't mind if the screen protector is a bit rough at the edge since it will blend over to the edge of the case anyway. But loosing a few pixels on every side of the display is a big no for me.
Thanks.

Agree, a big no for me too. I ordered one from AliExpress and was very disappointed, fortunately the seller was reasonable. I suggest you take a look at https://www.protectionfilms24.com/c...-sort=bestResult&searchfield=Xiaomi+Redmi+K20 > I've ordered a few through the years for different phones and was always satisfied. Since the screen edges are round, it'll be hard to find edge-to-edge protector, but if anyone manages to find it, please respond (with pictures).

I totally agree. I'm using this one myself. Easy to apply, good fit and hardly visible when applied.
Got bubbles after applying? Don't worry within 24h they are gone.

Bro i replaced my old tempered with hydrogel film for best fit, unlike the tempered glass i used before, it is not fit so well due to the screen is slightly curved. ???
I bought it on shoppee. ???
Bought a screen cover from here, https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Xiaomi-Mi-9T-Tempered-Glass-Screen-Protector-CRYSTAL-CLEAR/183856074868 incredibly bad doesn't cover the edge of the screen just hangs in there. The hydrogel I bought is on the way but takes a long time to deliver and I'm hopeful about its capabilities. If its quality the structure should be really resistant to damage but not so sure about cracks. Also bought another glass protector will test that out also soon if it arrives.
Hydrogel is best solution because it stretches and can cover curved edges, BUT it is much worse to the touch. I had it on my honor 9 for two years. And playing games with hydrogel is unpleasant because fingers slides with difficulties (on glass it slides easy and smooth.)
Hydrogel is good for about 6-8months, then it is better to replase with a new one because it becoums blury and you can see glue under protector. Buy one with tool for easy apply. Hydrogel is harder to aply thannold style screen films because it stretches.
