Why does Sony turn off the FM function of Qualcomm Chip? - Sony Xperia XZ Questions & Answers

Hi, everyone?
From the X-series of Sony Xperia, Sony Xperia has no FM app at all. I know that Every Qualcomm chipset has the FM receiver function by hardware.
I've tried to turn on the FM receiver function in Sony Xperia XZ by using FM app of Xperia Z Ultra. But I couldn't do.
Is there any way to turn on the FM receiver function in Sony Xperia X-series?

Great question and it really doesn't make sense. I have tried on the past couple of Xperias without success also. I would be interested if anyone has a solution as well.

My Sony Xperia Tipo Dual echo problem

Hi everyone,
My sony xperia tipo dual has a very annoying problem ; When i speak during a phone call i can clearly hear my voice in the earpiece . I've changed the sim cards , restarted the device but the problem still persists . When somebody else uses my phone he notes this problem as it is very obvious.
This echo problem gets worse outdoors as the noise from the surroundings is transmitted through the mic to the earpiece , this decreases the call quality significantly .
Any solution ?
you should email Sony about this problem, or you can come to the service center to get your phone repaired. i think its a hardware problem.

I think it's not directly related to the earpiece cuz I've noticed that the problem still persists even when I use the headset .

Has something to do with the microphone, but as ARVolutionz said, you should contact Sony.
Or you could also go to http://talk.sonymobile.com and post in their forum, then hope u get an answer ^_^
(Their Customer Service doesnt always answer in forums).
I don't think it's a microphone problem because there is no echo in the skype voice calls even if use the headset.
Sony is working on this problem. Since Jan, 2013...
Do u use a protecting case for ur Mobile?
If yes the n remove it and try

Even viber is giving echo while calling. No protective case. Just the phone.
Now using:
Sony Xperia tipo ST21i
stock 4.0.4
11.0.A.4.22
(rooted, locked bootloader)
I just found out has not one, but two microphones. So the other mic sits at the back, supposedly to reduce background noise. For us using protective cover, easy solution either use speakerphone mode on or Bluetooth or wired headset.

[Q] regarding C2104 and c2105 firmware

hi guys just new here in the xperia l development.
these are the things i wanted to know about our phone:
1. what is the differences between firmware c2104 and c2105?
2. is it possible to flash c2104 firmware to c2105 device? will the phone get bricked if we flash c2104's firmware to c2105?

The only major difference between the C2104/5 firmwares is the baseband, the part of software which operates signal reception.
You can flash C2104 firmware to a C2105 device (or vice versa) without having any issues, it will not brick.
But it is best to remain on the firmware for your own country for reasons related to the baseband-but it really does not matter tbh.
On a side note, the Xperia L forums feel so quiet, coming from the buzzing 2011 forums this forum almost feels dead.
I agree, the chatter has died quite suddenly.
I wonder if it is because of Sony's atrocious customer support?

Yea probably. The Xperia L and M just don't have the popularity they deserve-they are not bad phones, just lack a good customer base in terms of numbers. Also the fact that Sony has kept quite about updates may put people off.
I do like my L, although at times it does freeze up.
That is why I like a removable battery, when others on Sony's Google± Fanpage mocked me because of this.
When it freezes, I take off my case (Nillken), take off back cover, remove battery.
Then, put it all back together.
My biggest gripe is NFC; having lots of problems connecting via NFC their NFC Bluetooth headset (SBH-20) and speaker (BX-500), both of which I like very much.
Now, just connect via Bluetooth, all is okay. But Iike using NFC to connect and disconnect devices!!

Does MiBand work with our Z? If yes, is it compatible with Sony's Lifelog app?

As far as I know mi band use BLE, and XZ have BT 4.0 so it should work...
I checked sony forum and other devices that use this BT work, but only if you have android 4.4+
Its confirmed that unlocking device using mi bad work on almost any device with bt 4.0
Dunno if it work with LifeLog... I never used it...

playstation remote play?

Anyone else use it? Anyone else find - what seems to be since the last software update for our Z5's - that it's really laggy and stuttering where as before I'v never had any problems
To be honest I've always had issues with it and for that fact don't bother. It could be better than it is. I have used it with the official control and cradle what games you trying?

It was mostly acceptable for me on the same LAN as my PS4 on my Z1. Never tried it on the Z5.
I was just driving about on gta5, never had any problems before this latest update and my Internet speeds are fine if I test em.
