Gapps installation issue - Yu Yunique Questions & Answers

I installed cm13 in my yu yunique (yu4711). Later I tried to flash gapps. It showed me an error set_metadata_recursive:some changes failed How to solve this?
I tried flashing cm13 and then flashing gapps without booting, still it didn't worked.

are you facing this problem even after flashing other roms?

cannot install CM12

My system is now KK 4.4.2 with unlocked bootloader
I download CM12 (nightly) from download.cyanogenmod.com - XT925 KK bootloader
I intended to install CM12.zip via Phil Touch recovery but it failed and this message appeared:
This package is for device: xt925, vanquish_u; this device is .
E: Error in /storage/sdcard1/....CM12.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Then I used TWRP recovery instead of CWM.
The installation was successful, but in a short time (faster than installing gapps)
I made the phone rebooted.
When the system was on, it showed an error dialogue and self-rebooted to boot animation graphics immediately. Then, it became an endless loop
I had to reflash stock KK system via RSD
What happenned to my XT925????
Try flashing CM11, factory reset, then CM12 nightly dirty flash. That way I got it to work. You need to remove the first line "assert..." in a file inside the zip to make it work with philz. Normal install or update of CM12 nightly works only with current cyanogen recovery for me.
The problem is the gapps file
I've only installed the CM rom via TWRP and the system is now running without gapps
Yes you need gapps for 5.1, best from the CM wiki

[Help] I cant install gapps

Hi. Im traying to install the gapps after install a custom rom, but when i do it report an error:
Installation aborted (status 6)
And i cant install. I tryed with nano and pico gapps, also with open GApps project but i cant install.
any idea ? Thanks u
Try another installation method, like adb or Flashify.
Are you using TWRP or CWM. If you are using CWM, this error will occur when flashing Gapps, so you should flash and use TWRP instead.

cm-13 on Yuphoria

I have installed cm-13 on my yuphoria. But on activating the developer option, the recovery option in reboot is not working. I tried flashing the rom of cm-13 and cm-12 but in vain. I badly want the opengapps to be installed. Without Play Store, I am finding it difficult to install packages. Apks do show up as icons, but fail to respond, while in operation.

CM13 is in Alpha stage now, so there'll be bugs for sure, which will be fixed soon..
To boot into recovery, flash TWRP first using Flashify app and then type the following in Terminal Emulator to reboot into recovery:
Code:
su
reboot recovery
Then flash GApps.zip

Yu yunique shows black screen (phone is still on) after lineageos boot animation

Guys recently I updated my yunique from cm13 to lineage os 14.1
Steps followed
1. Download lineageos, gapps and caesium kernel and move to SD
2. Reboot in twrp and wipe data except internal
3. Install the above the zip files
Everything went smoothly without any error and device rebooted.
But after the lineage os animation ends the screen went blank and stays like that.
After sometime it restarts and displays boot animation again.
When I revert back to cm13 everything works fine.
Please provide suitable solution if possible. Thank u

I was facing the same problem and then I solved it by flashing stock rom

How to actually flash rom?

Hi, I've been trying to flash multiple roms on my OP7Pro
I've tried to flash Havoc, Lineage and CrDroid but all end up with the same issue in the end
I did MsM reset and went to Pie. From there I did local upgrade to OOS 10.0.1
I rebooted and booted into twrp to flash twrp
I reboot to twrp and plug in USB device with Havoc (for example), then I try to install and it always gives me the error:
Error applying update: 9 (ErrorCode::kDownloadTransferError)
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file 'usbstorage/havoc.zip'
What do I do? I cant install anything due to this
