So I'm a noob and very much interested in android development. I want to port a rom to Honor 4x che1-l04 but I am unable to find a devices with similar hardware specs so that I can use its rom. Can anyone help me out? Is it okay if I use any qualcomm based rom as my port rom?

I have an huawei honor 4x che2-L12 and I want to install android 6 on it. There isnt yet a version forr L12, but there is for che2-L11. I know the risks of installing marshmallow 6 for che2-L11 on a che2-L12 device, but I want to do it anyways.
I know it is possible, can you help me on how to do it?

Look through ROM section, but if you want CM based, unfortunately there aren't
there a re a couple of good ones, check in the original android development section of h6
I dunno where to ask this but does anyone know what happened to the open kirin roms for honor 6x? like all other kirin based phones are getting newer stable roms like all the time.Like there are only one or two beta version roms from them for honor 6x.Does anybody know whats with the limbo?

The developers are waiting for EMUI 8 to drop out because it will likely bring treble support. This will make it way easier to make ROMs.
Dont compare SD devices with Kirin one. Is much harder to develop a rom for Kirin. So if you want custom roms, go for SD

Does anyone know the compatibility between the P20 Pro roms on xda and using them with a P20 device. I've researched and can't find anything to suggest that they should or shouldn't be apart from It looks like we are able to use the lineage rom based on having the same Kirin chipset.

Hello did you try to install a custom rom for p20 pro on your p20 because I too would like to know this is compatible because there is no custom rom for the p20 for the moment there for the p20 lite and p20 pro but nobody has to think about p20
