Accessibility -> Services - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

How do you get the Accessibility -> Services setting for an app to retain? I want to have it on for LastPass and AirDroid, but it keeps reverting to off ...will NOT stay ON!.

Make them protected apps and they will stay on.

[Q] Can you delete widgets from phone?

Can i delete the 60+ widgets on my phone that I never use? Does deleting widgets benefit the speed of my app drawer loading?

I've been curious about this as well for a while. Although, I assume if the widgets are installed as part of an app, then the answer would be "no". For example, IP Cam Viewer comes with like 6 different widgets with different sizes and layouts. I'll never use any of them, but I don't think I can uninstall them without uninstalling the app altogether. Can somebody please let me know if I'm mistaken?

I figured. Oh well. I guess it doesn't bother me that much. Thanks for the reply!
@nihn75, @simms22, @charesa39 Actually, you can delete them. Use Autostarts to disable whichever widgets you don't want and they will disappear from the drawer and homescreen long-press list.

Wow! Interesting. Thanks for the tip. So does this do the same thing as the Xposed Module, BootManager?

These apps disable the receivers. ROM Toolbox works as well.

Autostarts seems to disalbe most but there are still 25+ hanging around. Great start, thanks!

Between Autostarts and Rom Toolbox (Thanks @Aerowinder) you should be able to get that number lower.

Some widgets don't have separate receivers. You can't get rid of all of them, but most of them you can.

EMUI taking control of closing apps

Hey guys,
So just like the title says emui is closing apps especially audio related apps even though I've told to exempt those apps from battery optimization.
The apps specifically are:
Pandora
SoundCloud
Pocket Cast
I have factory reset the phone just to make sure I haven't done anything weird while exempting those application. They still get closed when I lock the screen.
Another thing to note, when the app closes it might sometimes (especially Pandora) relaunch itself and be fine with the screen off. Other times I have to go back in restart the app and then on screen lock it might work but there's no guarantees.
Just wondering if any of y'all have had this issue before and how did y'all go around fixing it.
I had also issue when I hearing songs in saavn app.
go to phone manager , there swipe left you will find lock screen cleanup there choose the app which you want to run even the screen is off:good:

Yeah I've done all the above and apps will still close. Also something to note, play music doesn't have this issue. It will play without any problems.

How do I disable apps that launch on startup?

Also, is it still advisable to do so? Or would I be better off just leaving my phone as it is?

General you can disable apps in settings - apps - click on app - disable. But it depends on which android version you are. Disabling apps can help a lot to improve battery life! Which one do you want to disable?

Question Any way to stop gallery app suggestions?

Can't find setting to disable it. Anyone know if there is a package spesific for that function so I can disable it?
1) tell your brain to miss that icon ( work for me )
2) close your eyes and click any icons ( u can get it after 20 attempts )
3) install OnePlus Gallery ( almost the same as Samsung Gallery )
