Can anyone can recommand me an app to hide my images? Being a father, I want to keep my private adult life away from my children! I want an app with lowest size.
I don't have any app suggestion as I use the stock app but for starters you can apply an app lock to the gallery app so you need a password or your fingerprint to even open the gallery app. It's in Phone Manager -> App lock.
just put those files in safe inside files app.

You can lock the Gallery app altogether via App Lock in Phone Manager, or put the files you want to hide in Safe of the default File Manager.

I just saw two in the market...sexting vault was one I think. Can't remember the other.
PhotoVault works good. You can hide individual pics, they wont show up in your stock gallery. Have to sign in w/ a password in the app to see the blocked pics....
I recommend photovault "sextingvault" just sounds suspicious. Its the same app. But better name.

The Easy way to hide photos is to mount the sdcard to your computer or use Astro or EStrongs File Explorer and just move all the photos you want hidden to another folder on the sdcard and name the folder .Whatever
Just put a Period . in front of the folder name and the Gallery app will not look for photo's in that folder so it hides them.
All you have to do is navigate to the folder with Astro etc and then view the photos from there.
This is how i hide photo's as most people are not going to go using a file explorer to go find photo's

best app hiding pictures of anykind THE APP IS CALLED......VAULTY...it can hold alot of pics and can be password protected if your phone is stolen the pics are encrypted as .txt. files so they can never be seen without the app installed.
Hide it pro is the way to
go dude its better than those up there plus it can hid apps and other stuff

I use an app call al2 from 4shared it locks any app u want with a number of different locking methods its not in the app store only on 4shared I have mine locked to where if u open the locked app it shows the force close screen and u have to tap the text 5 times to open it lol I will try and find a link for u.

The absolute easiest and probably best gallery app available is quickpic. It has just what you are looking for.
You can also make any folder hidden by adding * before the folder name.

Audio Manager (Hide it pro). Its awesome! It hides pictures, apps, music, and it even locks any apps you want. Best part, is that the app disguises itself as a volume controller app. Check it out.

as a new user, I can't post a link, but you can find a download link for the pro version at getandroidstuff-dot-com. just search for gallery private. once it returns the app from the search result, click on the gallery private app name and it will take you to a description page where you'll find a download link. or if you can find it elsewhere, that's cool too.
once you install it on your phone, it won't show up in your applications window, but you do have it installed. it's supposed to be discreet that's why it doesnt appear among your apps. instead, to access it, you have to add it as a shortcut to your homescreen. you'll see a G.P. (Pro) selection. just select it and it will create a shortcut icon on your homescreen, which you can drag into a folder if you want. Then bingo, you got gallery private and can modify the icon and the name!
Or search for audio manager on the market, its a private gallery for pics, vids, and anything you want to hide.

here is G.P. free. The easiest way to hide files is to use a file manage like astro and make a new file that starts with . (example .private) Any folders that start with the period are hidden folders and its contents will not show up on phone but you can still view them with the manager. you can then go to the settings in the manager and set it to not show the hidden folders. hope this helps

Ok. I downloaded a free App Locker from the market. I believe it was S.A. App Locker. But then I got a diff App Locker cause i wanted to lock a few personal files. So i go to delete it from the apps menue. I noticed it wasnt there. Had no clue where it was at. But then i found it in my DL File Manager i believe. It was like hide for sum reason. So i deleted it. But its still present lockin my text and personal files. So its like a double lock on the same things i want to lock. I took the App Lock off that i want to currently use and the other Lock App is still locking the files. So im wondering is there some where else that i can look to delete this file or will i have to do another full wipe to get rid of it ?
no one has any info..?
Did you try contacting the developer of the app?
You might also want to clear defaults amd settings throuh the app manager.

With the new Sense where it doesnt "fast scroll", its becoming tedious scrolling to find the app you want!

Looks good, but doesnt seem to be able to create folders in the App menu (the standard android app list).
That is what Im looking for, mainly.
I use the Folder Organizer app. It's about US ~1.41 on Android Market or $1.50 on Amazon Appstore. It allows you to make widgets and folders which looks a lot like the iPhone folders. There's several good organizing functions to define label tags and shortcuts, etc.
I want to hide one book/folder in SNote. Is there a way that I can do it within the SNote app? Or would I have to use a file manager like Astro and change the file name to hide the file? Or are there other apps that would hide the files for me?
I would like to hide a diary folder that I plan to use and add entries to several times a week. I have hidden photos in the past that I didn't want to access that often, so changing the file name with Astro was not a problem for situations like that. It would seem cumbersome to have to do that with every diary entry that I make though. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I think an actual diary app would be better in your case. That allows for passwords too
