G935V cross bootloader, and flash Chinese Version , support ALL lte band,Knox stil 0!! - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Guides, News, & Dis

http://bbs.romup.com/forum.php?mod=v...extra=page=1
This post said the Their method is applicable to all of the Samsung machine locks BL.
They are already do this, and will not share the way..
It is said that ,the G935A,G935T,G935P,G935V cross bootloader flash Chinese Version ,and support ALL band(gam, cdma, wcdma ,tdscdma, lte) ,all carrier, all
country..
And I get a S7 EDGE G935V, It unlock and flashed, following the picture
I think there are three possible ways to achieve this effect.
1.、use odin flash the eng kernel, and root. then use Z3X or other box to change the Bootloader Recognized identifier
2、Making a special data line, to achieve strong brush the other version of the firmware. (The other phone use this way..)
3、Modify other editions Samsung firmware identifier,To achieve the bypass bootloader to flash the other version.
There are many experts in the forum, I'm sure you'll find interesting
I hope someone can share the way when he successful
Ignore my bad English...

I am very pleased to see so many reply.
I see the reply ,and generally do some answer.
1、The phone is T-mobile,It seems that it flash the Version Version frist
2、After flash Chinese version, the bootloader is still locked
This is really strange, the S7 and S7 EDGE ,US version in the US no one cracks, but it cracked in China and they started to do Paid services..
In ShenZhen ,they flash a phone ,charge $ 20

So does this unlock the bootloader or just allow the flashing of other carrier ROMs?

I believe the Chinese bootloader would be flashed to our phones which is unlocked. So our bootloader would be unlocked. It doesn't appear to be right though. Someone would have to look into it.

Well let's hope.
Now if only they found a cdma radio in the exynos version. Then I'd be even happier.
But if this turns out to be true it's amazing in its own right

Didn't even try. Just hoping its what they discussed.

I have translated some links to posts that would affect the US variants. There were many Verizon ROMs and firmwares there, so they are working on unlocking stuff more than we are by the looks of it. Anyways, note that these links are directly translated and may seem choppy. Also, the term "brush" is used a LOT, not sure if it's a bad translation of a certain word or? Also note that I don't think any of these links are about the original post given to us by OP. I am posting to let you decide though.
Link 1: here
Link 2: here
Possibly more links to come, but that's all for now. The original link given by OP may be to a deleted post? Not sure though

I do not know why but those links will not load on my phone.

Yea this brush method sounds like some sort of ODIN hack that lets a user flash individual parts into a s7, like mix and match. So you could get a unlocked boot-loader with a Verizon operating system. Problem is, there really is no way to tell how that method truly functions or how to do the process yourself. Guess we wait and see if any further details emerge.

So one of these posts is what the OP was talking about? Could you clarify? Possibly give instructions you dig out?
I've been surfing this site, I haven't seen much else about a bootloader, but then again I don't speak the language and the search is broken. So 2 strikes there...
EDIT: "brush" means flash. So "brushing" a ROM is flashing a new ROM. Direct translation man, not very good.

Unfortunately I believe I have found the post that was being talked about and it doesn't really say the bootloader can be unlocked it says you can flash different parts of different versions together.. Like tmobiles bl and Verizons boot IMG.... Etc

G935P G935V G935T G935 Brush tutorial
Many people do not understand the Internet this year, the US version of the machine Brush considerations and differences between the various versions of ROm, I write this post in particular, in order to teach white.
First, the United States this year edition of the high-pass series S7 S7E, regardless of the operator, can brush other carriers of information. (This is an important point, namely the US version of all through the brush, also on behalf of all US version has a lock BL, no points P, T, said a lock-free BL)
Second, the operators the information itself, regardless of differences in network support, focusing SALES_CODE in the CSC directory that official Brush package CACHE.IMG.EXT4 partition files, different operators ROM, can be mixed brush. But each switch a new SALES_CODE, the underlying network will re-erase rewritable. Represents, A, T, P machine, if you change the brush again SALES_CODE, the phone will resume the network lock.
Third, the operators data, and partition size is not the same, each time you switch carriers of information, need to check the weight of partition, the ODIN the option of RE PARTION.
Fourth, you can mix the brush that you can brush into the V edition of the BL, P version of the baseband, A version of the SYSTEM, V version of the CACHE. Provided that the partition to brush into the corresponding file, to divide than your brush into the file to be larger, the size of the partition if you define the partition size than you want to brush into the required files even smaller, then you brush machine process You receive SIZE eRRROR, that is, the capacity does not comply.
Fifth, the former Brush, A, T machine, it is best to ask for the unlock code all with the seller, or the seller has been done to ensure that the official solution, T-MOBLIE official version of the machine seems to be the solution, you do not need to enter the unlock code, but requires an official unlocking networking certification program to unlock the server.
Sixth, the network model for each version of the distinction
Sprint official network parameters or frequency 2G4G B41 Mobile, China Unicom B1 B3 4g, telecommunications B1 B3, but can not connect 4G, can not crack
VERZION official network parameters, mobile 2G 3G 4G B38 B39 B40 B41 frequency, China Unicom B3 4G, telecommunications B3, can crack 4G, you can also break the B1 frequency
ATT to be filled
T-MOBLIE be filled
We are now Brush brush into VERZION normal version of the firmware, to crack the whole network full 4G

Personally I do not think you should look at to determine the phone IMEI is not a lock
Otherwise brush V version can be unlocked, the other operators do not hopping dead.

This seems to be the best guess.
A Youtube video or instructions or guide would be nice. With files. Even if it is in Chinese.

I just posted this in the tmobile forum hopefully someone will check it out
Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

Brush in chinese is the term we use for flashing, we just call it brushing.
I'll roughly translate this for you guys.
First: All S7/E can be flashed, to other version regardless of company and version, removing the worries for locked/unlocked bootloader.
Second: The rom files, AP BL and CP doesnt differentiate between networks, the important part is the CSC file, which contains the sales_code. Official cache.img.ext4 and different roms can be mixed. But every time you change the sales_code, ROM(?) data will be rewritten, so carrier lock will be reactivated.
Third: Different carrier's rom has different partition size, so when flashing with ODIN you have to enable repartition
Fourth: You can flash Verizon BL with P(No idea which carrier this is) Baseband, ATT's System, and Verizon's Cache etc etc. as an example. But the file you're flashing into the specific partition must be smaller than the partition size, or you'll encounter a SIZE ERROR.
Fifth: Before Flashing, it's best to have your phone unlocked, especially ATT and Tmobile. ATT requires a code, TMobile uses an app to unlock after company unlocks it for you.
Sixth: Different network for different carriers(This part isnt important for us since it lists what's compatible with chinese companies)
So basically, he's saying that as long as you modify the CSC file properly, you can flash any bootloader and mix and match.

MB865 Indian Retail Firmware FXZ/SBF is out now. Any Devs here??

Hi guys, those who are looking Indian Retail firmware here it is:
Download "5.5.1-EDEM-27-SEARET_cfc.xml.zip" from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/edison/list.php
I confirm this is exact Retail version we have on our phones in India.
Now any devs here who can please create a custom ROM based on this? For those who don't know, Indian firmware doesn't have any restrictions like AT&T. Hotspot, network selection, *#*#4636#*#* menu all work absolutely fine, no bloatware or AT&T crap either. Indian hardware works fine with AT&T firmware so AT&T hardware should work with Indian ROM as well, with no issues.
I request any Devs here to please make a custom ROM out of this Indian firmware. Once it is properly tweaked and modded I know it will be best and most popular ROM for our beloved Atrix 2 so far.
Count me in.
I'm currently working on getting a 100% functional ME865 ROM working on the A2 because it is also much less restricted and has features like call recording, call/sms blocking, and native screenshot features. However I think that a ROM based off the Indian MB865 would be more stable on our AT&T A2 so I'd like to try it . It won't be too hard to get a stock, rooted, deodexed ROM out of the fxz and then I'll see if I can add in some the the ME865's extra features .
I'm downloading the fxz now on super-slow internet. I'll flash tonight and see what I can do (time permitting).

Call recording? Interesting. Indian ROM doesn't have this function. Ever since I moved away from Nokia (years ago), I always missed this thing in Android. Would really look forward to your ROM. And yes, Indian and US hardware is exactly same, even model no. is same, so they can use each other's ROM, tried AT&T ROM on my Indian model and it works flawlessly, if only AT&T crap and restrictions were not there. Patiently waiting for your ROM. Gonna be very popular I believe.

So it all makes sense now, only those phone which are sold in INDIA is supported by that FXZ, since I cannot flash the US FXZ on my Indian Phone, it just does not support!
So I guess, the only way to go ahead with building a ROM from this FXZ is to have a Indian Build phone ...(LOL I sound like racist... ) Then restore the ROM later on US phones!

Hey man, try one given at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1539167 I guess this one is simplest method. I once screwed my Indian version and used this and I was up and running in no time whereas flashing through RSD Lite didn't work for me.

Not entirely true. I have been insisting on this in every thread here that AT&T stock works on Indian version BUT if you try and flash 2.3.6 with RSD Lite it fails. I have an Indian version but if you try 2.3.5, particularly from forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1539167 it flashes and works flawlessly, though with AT&T restrictions. I tried every method but this script thing was only method that worked for my Indian Atrix 2, I am not sure how, but it brought my phone to life and then I flashed 2.3.6 over it and it worked, even AT&T version...

how to sim unlock?

is there any solution, that i can unlock my phone to use different sim card currently its looked at Telenor Serbia? i know s2 has some programs, etc but is that legal i don't want to brake my warranty or phone? and if its possible how to do that i mean in anyway, but not brake anything? i will backup i just wanna be sure its safe... and btw my phone is i9105p

Hi my friend. I think that you can't unlock your sim card without losing your warranty. You just can go to the near mobile service and pay 1000RSD for unlock SIM

Try flashing with another region firmwares, it succesfuly once on grand duos

i flashed nordic firmware and insterted diffrent sim card and again it asks for unlock pin etc.. so i think that it won't work when change firmware..
Try from different continent, it shoul be work, last time i've tried galaxy grand duos its sim locked abu dhabi, then I flashed with rusian firmware and its work like charm, try your luck man
Edit: logically if newer devices was possible to break the sim.unlock, note that this 2 devices has same BCM processor too, keep tryin'
OrdinaryNoob
one more question, if i try different firmwares that wouldn't brake anything on my phone? i am thinking to flash serbian telekom firmware, maybe it will then work, now i am downloading Italian firmware, and i will try it
Its just software based, nothing to worry about, language problem, may its not containing your local language. Make sure that you better try firmware which its not containing any provider/carrier even other carriers
OrdinaryNoob
i flashed Italian, inserted different carrier sim and again it asks for unlock pin.. but shows signal on phone, even when i dismissed it, but when i try call it says not registered on network.
Wait, i'll.take some suffer be back here for 40min
Edit, ok you there??lets try our noob luck, which carrier you're currently locked to, which country that device from??

Rooting and unlocking UK Galaxy S6 on EE

Hey guys, I recently purchased a second hand Galaxy S6 (not an Edge variant) and I'm curious as to how exactly, I go about rooting it in order to unlock it. I remember rooting my S3 was relatively straight forward, but this seems a little more complex partly due to just how many options there are for all the different models.
I'm on Android 5.1.1, and my build number is currently: LMY47X.G920FXXU3QOJF
If anybody could point me towards a relevant guide or provide a little more information, that'd be awesome. Cheers!

Would this Kernel suffice? http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...nt/kernel-hacker-kernel-s6-universal-t3254487
Also, as a result, would this make my phone automatically unlocked from all network carriers?
You can use that kernel. I use SpaceX kernel. They are both with autoroot.
I dont know if it unlock all network carriers. I think phone can already support different ROM's from different carriers.
I flashed for example French ROM. And now im on the official dutch again

I managed to get it working. For those who are curious, this is a great video that illustrates exactly what to download and from where, depending on your region.
Now that I'm rooted, however, does anybody have any idea how to unlock my device?
Try a Nexus 6P

Great answer!
Seriously though, considering I just bought this, and Nexus 6Ps are about 200 more here, that's not really an option.

I wouldn't waste my hard earned money on Nexus Junk. And make no mistake, they are all junk.

Have you tried calling EE? I think they'll do it for a small fee.

I'd rather this not turn into a 'what device is better' thread, please.
And I'm gonna go into their store today and see what they can do for me. Apparently, it's only £8.99 for an unlock, I just wondered if there existed any free method.

Sprint Note 5 on MetroPCS

I have a rooted Sprint Note 5 with the "Speed Racer" rom installed with TWRP. Before I left Sprint I requested to have my phone unlocked and it went through w/o a problem. However, yesterday when I went to MetroPCS and threw their SIM in my card I thought everything was going ok.
I realize now that although I have full data and text messaging I can't receive or make phone calls. I tried different APN settings and changed from LTE/CDMA to AUTOMATIC but none of that has worked. I even tried calling MetroPCS but they weren't able to get it up and running either. I need the know how of the XDA community to help me out please. Will give a small donation to someone if they can get me through this!

Is that a GSM sim? Install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mangelow.network&hl=en netwrok apk, and see if you can choose GSM/WCDMA mode on it. If not you have to flash a custom rom to get all GSM functions and get rid off sprint stuff.
If CDMA sim, i can't help further.

Thanks for the reply man. I did download that app and there were a lot of options but GSM/WCDMA wasn't one of them. I'll take your advice and try another rom

Hey, is there maybe another option on that app that may work? I tried downloading this DarthVader ROM on the T-Mobile forum that was supposed to be somewhat universal and during the Aroma installation you had to choose between Tmboile or International version. After choosing the TMobile version it loaded up but it didn't give me any network options at all.
Can you maybe advise a good rom that may work?

You cannot flash a Tmobile or International rom just like that... unless built for N920P
Download this rom https://www.fshare.vn/file/PRC6K2C8S4UP
This fix 1 https://www.fshare.vn/file/DZMSWWJPO2VZ
Fix 2 https://mega.nz/#!xc1TlKqS!ylDEK24P-hIzuSjj3kdPRNOclCcFWnx-22lH2eRLPDw
Fix 3 https://mega.nz/#!dQ9GRQqB!_tK2J2HeoNwTMetKlYms4PbaesT23UQGXwvw8R23QNs
Wipe full in twrp (cache/dalvic/data/system)
Flash 4 files in TWRP one by one.. then reboot. First boot may take upto 10min.. don't worry.
You may need to add an APN.
And you may use Linksvip.net to get High speed links from fshare site (if original site is slow.)
https://samsungvn.com/threads/n920p-g928p-n920x-g928x-rom-grace-ux.18617/ link to ROM page if u need.

Ok, I'm in the process of downloading the ROM. 2 hour ETA. The Linksvip.net file was apparently removed. I'm going to make this my last resort for this phone. If this doesn't work this thing is going on Ebay!

It's carrier unlocked not bootloader unlocked. Still not root and most likely won't ever get root+twrp for it.

Did last year's snapdragon S7 ever get root? I'm not used to this because all previous Galaxy phones were international, but my carrier is selling the U1 model this time around and not "F" varients... Im not holding my breathe for custom recovery/roms bit would be nice to use titanium backup and ad away...

The S7 got what we called ENGBOOT root. Which was not really full functioning root. It required you to flash a Samsung created engineering kernel, that is purposely unstable, but is designed to help Samsung repair shops fix corrupt devices.
With some tweaking root was achieved, but the bootloader stayed locked. And the performance was so degraded by the engineering kernel MOST people went back to stock and never used root.
Sadly rooting and ROMing most phones is going away. Especially now that Google is providing an easy way for developers to turn off access to an app if the user is rooted. Right now even if you have root you can't use Netflix, Samsung Pay, Android Pay, among many others.
If you want root still I'd look at a 1+ or the Essential phone or the international model if this phone. Otherwise you are probably out of luck.

Since you have been so helpful at crushing my root dreams lol j/k.. Is there a way to get what I'm looking for i.e.
Ad-less youtube
Ad-away
And maybe a way to freeze/uninstall apps
All without being rooted?
Its been a long time since I had a stock phone and the freaking advertisements have gone wild... Thanks I appreciate it

Yes.
I have been using AdClear for a while now and it works great including in YouTube. The development team has an xda thread that has the downloads and a bunch of great info. Just search xda.
I use BK Package Disabler to freeze apps. It lets you freeze individual processes in apps as well which is great for blocking only certain features of apps. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kunkunsoft.packagedisabler
For making a back to restore I actually like Samsung's Smart Switch. Works great to backup your phone to a computer.
Also in Developer settings you can manually address your DPI, and over in the S8 International threads there is a list of about 40+ fonts that can be installed.

I have an s8 and s8+ unlocked on TMobile. Want to use on Optus in Australia and then when I return on AT&T. Optus uses band 28 which T-Mobile doesn't . In another thread someone suggeted flashing G950U1 XAA, is this the "plus" equivalent? Assume steps to flash same? Yeah it has voice over LTE. And a few other things. Still gets great battery life and you can disable any att features you don't want.

Awesome. Will flash when I get a chance. Hopefully no issues on OPTUS.
This may seem like a stupid question, and I am assuming the answer is no, but does flashing an official firmware lock it to that carrier ?
