I'm not a huge fan of removing the one tap for voice search. Now you have to tap the google button and then the mic icon. Maybe they are trying to push the "Ok Google" command.

Yeah, the date is alright up there. I wish you could tap it to open the calendar or something. But there's a chance it's not finished yet either.

That is so ugly... I wonder how hard it is to change out nav icons? I'd have a brand new reason to root my phone.

The Nexus 5X have this launcher with the Nougat update ?

[APP] Facebook Messenger 3.0.1 - New UI

Hi all,
Here's the newly released Facebook Messenger app that was shown today by Facebook.
Download here, and enjoy.
EDIT: Uninstall the older version, or it'll fail to install. Also, turn auto update OFF in the Play Store or else it'll "update" to the older version that's currently available in the Play Store.

I like the design, and it seems to run a lot smoother and quicker than the older versions. There is one downside though, it seems you can no longer use it as an app for straight text messaging anymore. Think the idea is that now you people's FB account will be tied to their phone number and when you enter their phone number it adds the person to your messenger contact list and instead of sending a text message to that person it still sends a FB message even though you entered their phone number.
I sent a text message to myself from Google Voice and it did not come up in FB Messenger, only stock. Also there is no setting in FB Messenger to turn SMS on anymore, if anyone else has found something different let me know I like the UI so much more than stock and always used it for SMS.
Well I thought it was great till I realized you couldn't set off notification tones and send SMS

I like how everyone is giving 1 stars reviews at the playstore because it the app requires your phone number hahahahahhahaha

Best lockscreen for Nexus 5

Since I didn't find directly a discussion thread about locksreens, I created one.
But anyway, what lockscreens do you use? I used Cover with my SGS3, but now I want something different. And I really don't know others. What are your favorite locksreens and why?
I'm using AcDisplay right now, used DynamicNotifications for a long time before that. Widget Locker Pro is really nice if you're looking for a more customizable stock lockscreen.
WidgetLocker for me. Can theme it as you like

I think the default android lockscreen seems pretty good ! With modified dark background (and blurred on some custom ROMs) and the possibility to add widgets ! GravityBox let us change the shortcuts on the circle bar... That's a lot of good things

I've tried so many but constantly came back to the default... It's just simple, fast, and efficient. And with the added lockscreen notifications that many ROMs and I think gravity mod has it makes it real nice

Google Camera Bug

Hey guys!
I just spotted an error in the default camera app. Today i noticed that whan oppening the camera app, I have some buttons up top that basically do that the gestures do. (see attachment). The buttons stay there no matter what. I looked at my girlfriends phone(also a Nexus 5) and she does not have those buttons.

Basically when i open the app i have those 4 buttons. The first one opens the shooting options that you get by sliding from the left, there are the zoom buttons and the button that opens the gallery app( that you ca normally do by sliding from the right). I uninstalled the updates of the camera app, and the buttons disappeared , but then i updated the app from the play sore and the buttons reappeared . Really have no idea what's up with them.

This Is How The Nexus 6P & 5X Will Look Like With The New Navigation Bar!

Hi everyone.
I have photoshopped an image showing how the two nexus devices running Android N would look like if the new rendered Softkeys will make an appearance in the new Update on these devices.
Hope you enjoy. I don't find them personally all that bad looking.

Yes its an amazing phone! I had an S7 edge last week and i returned it and came back to the 6p. It felt faster and smoother. Funny how the S7 is waterproof but my 6p survived an accidental pool dunk. By all means, get the 6p! It will outpreform the S7!
