Nice! Always a big fan of Slim, but moved on to other ROMs to get the Marshmallow experience. I will be following this thread closely - might even give the alpha a try!
Thanks!

Nice to See that we have a Slim 6 now for our Tab. I will tried at the weekend.

Will there be a Mondrianlte version?

@prbassplayer
Thx for your work:
I tried this morning and flashed on my Tab.
I installed open Gapps Nano Package from today with out Probs ( my older Version stops with error Status 12 )
Installed also SuperSu.zip V2.67, without probs.
Startup and Google setup are very fast.
But now my Question: where i can find the Menu Button , to open the Apps ( Browser , Filemanager; mails etc. )
Edit: I tried following: set the playstore widget on my srceen and startet there. after connection with the play store installed the Nova launcher and from there i can open the Apps menu.

You don't need supersu we have root in the rom. As for your rom long press home window and add back the widget you need. This is a known but on out Todo list. Or simply install another launcher

I hate to be that guy asking, "Is feature X available, because I can't use it without feature X!" but, well, is the ability to use on-screen soft keys and turn off capacitive keys in yet? CM13 is kinda killing me (how can they make the WiFi worse than it already was on this tablet?!).
From my Tab Pro 8.4

Finally my bluetooth mouse does not interfere with thw wifi.
Good work, thanks for the rom

New Weekly! Head over to read changes and get your new build.

Will you be interested in adding these features to SlimROM?
1. Ethernet + static IP support (https://github.com/codewalkerster/android_packages_apps_Settings/commit/f08f6803e5e31c45e487eae0854072ed8fdc3d65 and https://github.com/codewalkerster/android_packages_apps_Settings/commit/e329f97cea2f7b37ce0072b9f1b0fe5afe6caf97)
2. Mouse button mapping (right & wheel buttons) with support for Samsung Action Mouse thumb button
3. Enabling / disabling BT AVRCP Absolute Volume (can be pretty annoying and does not work well with custom volume steps)
4. Enabling / disabling WiFi IP Reachability monitor
5. Enabling / disabling HDMI Volume control (AOSP and CM only allow mute <> full volume)
6. option to display WiFi SSID on status bar (https://github.com/BlissRoms/platform_frameworks_base/commit/dda606d8e7d562ac347e0964b97130d0ff0c417a and https://github.com/BlissRoms/platform_packages_apps_Settings/commit/4c58c10290e98b575152bcfed60d3b68474433f1)
7. Option to display actual charging current on lockscreen (this one is device-specific, but works well with T320)
8. Change default GPS setting to device-only (makes sense for WiFi-only tablet)
I've tested all these features in my Temasek ROM mod, so all source code is readily available. Please let me know if you have any interest.
I always loved SlimROM and want to make it even better.

Won't work on anything but 8.4. The 12.2 (and 10) have different processors and are totally separate devices.

Any chance to see this rom on 12.2?

SlimKat stable build 4 released

Dear Slim Users,
We proudly present our second stable SlimKat release. We would like to thank everyone involved with testing, improving and working with us these last few weeks to achieve the much anticipated SlimKat Stable 4.
Major key changes from SlimKat 3 are as follows:
Notification reminder: An easy way to quickly set short reminders to show on the notification drawer.
Slim Recents: A complete replacement of the AOSP recents screen to allow better multitasking, along with marking favourite apps.
Dialer: Introduced with SlimKat 3: forward lookup and reverse lookup of contacts. Sadly we needed to remove certain parts due to legal issues with the Google+ reverse lookup. An intelligent People lookup service has been added to replace this, along with several other enhancements.
Quiet Hours: Several tweaks and enhancements to make it more powerful than previous.
Lockscreen: Further color enhancements and options.
And of course tons of small changes, features, enhancements and fixes all over the firmware.
As well as the new features, we are proud to introduce 2 new devices, hlte (Galaxy Note 3) and falcon (Moto g). Moto g can be found in the weekly folder (in our opinion it is stable but we want to ensure stability across a wider range of devices rather than just our test devices )
NOTE:
For dirty flashers: Before you flash, you MUST wipe your system manually. Gapps has received major rework, and this way you ensure that nothing old will be left.
We highly recommend to flash the new gapps package!!!!
As usual read the changelog, install instructions and known issues below.
p3100, p3110, p5100, p5110 have delay and will be published as soon as possible.
Changelog
- links to weekly releases -
changelogs since stable SlimKat 3 release: 3.2 - 3.4 - 3.6 - 3.8 - 3.10
Framework: Fix LTE tile
Framework: SlimPie: turn on HA on highEndGfx devices
Framework: Add Landscape layout for ECA
Framework: Add support for QC's time_daemon
Framework: SystemUI: Remove broadcast from QH toggles
Settings: QuierHours service: call with qualified user and introduce controller
Settings: Fix possible illegal argument exception
Camera2: if camera HAL does not return valid picture formats do not show wrong values.
Device specific: several fixes and upstream. See attached changelog on the device download
Gapps: Complete rework of the gapps package. Update to Google Music, Google YouTube, Google PlayStore TRDS
Known issues
General
LTE tile: on clean flash if the first toggle of LTE tile does not work go into settings->more->mobile networks and set one time the network mode to 3g. After this the LTE toggle will work always as expected
National data roaming: If you tick the option in settings all entries get visually disabled although they still work. Do not worry about it and just re-enter the screen again and it is corrected. As long as SlimKat supports your provider this works as intended.
Device specific
hammerhead: NOTE: We switched back for the torch to sysf interface due that it works better. Keep in mind that a third party kernel needs to add a patch to prevent that if you used the torch one time new photos on the camera get over exposured. We notified the kernel developers already about this change. Some kernel already changed it (eg. Bricked kernel). All other you can expect the change for the next kernel releases. If your kernel does not support it for now do not use the torch (or if you used reboot) when you want to make photos.
i9300, n7100, t0lte: Due to different used camera controller chips some devices can still get flaky camera. We tried to cover as many devices as we could.
crespo, i9000: if the phone rings the dialer is sometimes slow. This is simply due to the new KitKat dialer and the fact it is a low end device.
i9100, n7000: on extended music play it can suddenly happen that the playback stops.
I love the ROM. It has been my ASOP ROM for some time. I love that it supports so many devices.
Here are some opportunities for this rom:
1. Must manually enable developer options. Can this be enabled by default?
2. Must manually enable root. Can this be enabled by default?
3. Default DPI results in text so small most people over 38 could hardly read it. To change it, one has to download a third party app.
A DPI changer should be built in.
I am having issues sending multipart SMS messages on my Nexus 5 using the messaging app and also 8sms (downloaded from the app store). Hangouts works fine for SMS. I am on Sprint and have tried every combination of carrier wipe/network mode.
But there is no rom for xperia sl,sadly

Hi,
first many thanks ... :highfive: Am very happy to see this rom here.
Did a clean flash, your (DHO) gapps ... everything fine until now.
A small (optical) thing. The on/off buttons are not visible in the settings.
But only in landscape... Screenshots attached
Once again, many thanks. Looking forward .... :highfive:
And the Updater in the QS -> jumps to the status bar, but I think you know this.
edit: dual panel mode is ok ...
Will continue testing tomorrow.....

I am trying to fix this now,... been a long time since I touched this part of the theme, so it is slow tracking it down,.. I need to curbside a themer
Compiled with Grimlock's for tonight. Seems smooth so far.
Using my own kernel based upon Grimlocks
Raises quadrant 1500
raised antutu score 1000
Nebulous scores aside it is very much noticeably faster
Nice & thank you for bringing us a new ROM. Do you support f2fs in the kernel? I've flashed mine with it an it makes this thing smooth, just wondering if I have to revert back to try vanir.
Thanks again
###Edit####
Looks like next grimlock kernel version will support f2fs right away. I may have to wait a day or 2 to see how this progresses. Thanks again

Hey @DHO I'm going to finally unlock my bootloader for your ROM as it's probably the best on the tf700. Just wondering if it was compatible with F2FS or whether you plan to integrate it. Also are there plans for pie?

Vanir + the kernel is fully F2FS compliant, but I have not tried implementing it on tf700... mainly b/c I do not have the time to backup and properly test. If you want to guinea pig I can whip out a build.
Or users can make a few tweaks to enable it (since the system is okay with it)

Sure, I'll guinea pig it . I don't want to use the other switch method in the forum method because I want to keep the stock commotio kernel because it's probably the best on the tf700.

Thanks for the heads up take all the time you need. So just to confirm, there's no way of keeping the commotio kernel whilst f2fs?

Nice to see some more Lollipop ROMs for our device, beside CM12. Good work !
Maybe you could work together with @davidteri91 , he was also planning to do a CrDroid build for our device I think.

Yeah i know it, If david release his official CrDroid for this device, i'll stop this project.. about collaboration with him. i think i can't, dont have skill enough to manage it all, and i like to use Unofficial release. Why? Because i can add/remove that i dont like it in Official release such as CellBroadcast.apk, OTA updater, etc
Is it difficult to build on your own?
I'm new in this and would like to give it a try.
Besides thanks for the unofficial build.

I suppose it contains an error. Please correct if I'm right, because someone could really use a recovery-clockwork-6.0.5.1-ancora.

What's all that fuss about android 5.0, I tried few recently, but they all feel oversimplified, with less functionality, although the CrDroid Lolipop feels smooth (antutu benchmark scored over 13.000), but anyways I miss some of the nice features and cool looks that some of the latest kitkat roms had. To name a few, you cannot take pictures with camera by pressing power button, changing the looks of the clock in the lockscreen doesn't seem to work, also could'nt find where I could add the shortcuts on the lockscreen. However I am very glad to see new roms for my beloved sgs +, thank you.

CM is working to merge the features from KK but it needs time and patience....
A few days ago they merged the Theme Chooser engine which in my opinion is a very big step.
At the moment the priorities are to have first a stable build suitable for daily use, after that we would also talk about new features.
Alright, sounds promising, thank you, keep it up
Good work, the rom feels smooth and fast :good:

Updating from previous crDroid version by this method will work?
I used only dalvik and cache wipe in addition to method above and it looks working to some extent.
Hey, I'm really happy that you made ROM for this phone, but i need your help with installation. I've downloaded your ROM and GAPPS, i made a backup of last ROM (just 2.3.6 stock) and I formatted Data, Cache, Dalvik, System and Internal. I tried to install your ROM with(out too) wiping data/dalvik after installation and I'm getting the same error all the time. When I'm booting, I'm getting information that my data is corrupted and I have to make a factory reset by button on screen. I doesn't make any changes, next boots are the same.
Of course I'm using TWRP which you mentioned in your post.
EDIT: I was installing latest verion.
Does this rom work for the i9000?

[ROM][AOSP][5.1.1] Slim ROM Beta 0.14 #Back2Basics [Unofficial][2016-January-13]

First of all - all credits go to cordell and Slim Team. After will left the hlte slim scene, I found great gap when it comes to light and functional roms. Aim of this rom will be to stay close to Slim principles, but optimised with various toolchains and adding few features that I deem necessary.
This is the worst OP ever.
At this stage, it is still early to add or request features, as Slim just started developing again. When the code settles, I will have my own take on this rom. It will stay small, fast and stable above everything else.
Slim is back! Getting better with each release.

Remember this kind of ROM is not everybody's cup of tea. Not many features, but boy it feels light.
Then it's my cup oft tea. After searching for more and more features since Note 1 I settled down a bit and search for a stable slim rom.
Btw. Will is back in the building game for hlte but only with a slim cm build.

FANTASTIC !!
MANY THANKS FOR ALL YOUR WORK AS WELL AS FOR STARTING THIS THREAD !!
Have used (and really enjoyed) ROM intensively at work for the last three days or so.
Very - very light, smooth, rock stable and lightning fast !! (windows open after you think and before you click !!).
Love this bare bone feeling !!
Appreciated very much the save photos to sd option as well as the enter instead of emoticon in keyboard (no need for x-posed modules) and the volume buttons moving cursor options (I think both are missing in AOSPA - also an EXCELLENT ROM !!).
Lovely grey signal bars for 2G turn white for 3G - LTE.
Quick boot option is there to activate but shut down function in advanced power menu doesn't actually shut device down, therefore unable to confirm that it works.
Minor issue: after boot, ROM hangs for quite a while (I haven't timed it but I'm getting the impression it takes quite a bit longer than other 5.1.1 ROMs to boot up) in home screen before lockscreen is activated (therefore danger of shortcuts getting accidentally pressed in one's pocket etc).
A cupple of functions I could definitely live without but which would make (my) life easier if present:
Phone keypad T9 localizations.
Symbols for long press in AOSP keyboard.
Battery percentage (instead of icon) option for taskbar (I COMPLETELY ADORED the semi hidden -like easter egg- function when pressing the little battery icon in AOSPA's battery settings).
Another small thing: I think missed calls appear as received in call history.
And possibly no more than a cupple more (almost not worth mentioning) I don't remember.
My hardware buttons workaround is currently "gesture navigation" x-posed module that does an excellent job once one gets used to it (I will probably use it instead of buttons from now on).
Currently trying AOSPA daily at work (this, to me, is the only real testing) which gives me a very good feeling of fluidity, smoothness and stability though without the imediate responsiveness that Slim does (often reminds me of "Broken" which, after all is a Slim on steroids). I will post in the appropriate thread (many thanks for this also) when I'm done.
All the best.
Yours as always

Many thanks again encho.
Excellent ROM overall.
Enjoyed and still enjoying. Using since yesterday afternoon (24 hrs) <-I too always come back to Slim & have a tendency to stay->.
Really fast and light feeling even after having lived with Broken for 24 hrs so:
speed & snappiness 990/1.000 (agreeing that the latest version of Broken is always the standard for speed & snappiness ie 999/1.000 unless stated otherways).
No lack of any feature I would consider essential or find hard to live without. This said, hardware button mapping preferably with ability to assign app or shortcut to long-press and/or double press (excellent workaround for this is Gesture Navigation x-posed module), phonepad button T9 localization and long press phonepad button speed dialling would definitely have made my life easier.
Slim Launcher integration is very welcome and the addition of Personalisation>Interface in settings very promising for having one or two more features in future builds.
QuickBoot mode in Developer options an excellent addition - but Power Off command in Power Button long press menu doesn't work when QuickBoot mode is activated (works fine otherways but then there's no QuickBoot- haha) so let's say:
features 900/1.000 (agreeing that the latest version of BlissPop is always the standard for features ie 999/1.000 -or maybe I shouldn't have mentioned this at all -LOL- going to try latest version imediately after this)
Stability now is 999/1.000 since all basic settings and built-in applications work fine (QuickBoot mode is more of a feature than a basic setting so it doesn't count). And which ROM shall we agree is setting the standard for stability ? Probably EOS I should think.
Anyway, this was a first try -hopefully will mature over time (& get shorter and more juicy). I will try and post every time I have tried a new ROM / ROM version, either for a very short time (ie flashacholic's curiosity to see what's "inside the box") or for a longer period, at work etc. For anyone who happens to read this: please feel free to suggest anything and always remember that this is done purely for fun.

[DISCONTINUED][ROM][11][OP7T] crDroid+ v7.13 [UNOFFICIAL]

crDroid+ v7.13 for OnePlus 7t "hotdogb"
Preamble
I always preferred Cyanogen/LineageOS based ROMs over dozens of AOSP forks floating around and managed by unknown individual hobbyist developers since Lineage has some foundation and core development behind it at least.
But just plain Lineage is too flat in terms of features I would like to have and unfortunately there are almost no forks I am aware of except great crDroid ROM.
crDroid itself has almost everything I need but some little nifty features which make daily life even better.
So that's my daily driver ROM I decided to share with the community, crDroid packed with additional features.
Let's call it crDroid+
Features
===== 30 September, 2021
- WiFi & Bluetooth timeout settings
- Dialer revamed to look like OOS
====== 06.09.21 build:
* Alarm & Wakelock Blockers
* Extended Navigation Gestures
* Classical AppOps backported to Android R
* Colored status bar icons
* Double Tap to trigger doze screen
* ForceDark blacklist (exclude specific apps from being "forcibly darken" if you have this setting enabled)
* Vibration patterns from OOS
* Recents: add kill action button to app shortcuts popup
* Fluid v2 & ShapeShift Android 12 locksreen clocks
* OOS icons & sounds
* Correct device model number detection (by default it's hardcoded to HD1905)
* ..and several minor fixes
Installation
It's the same as for original crDroid (perhaps LineageOS guide will work too)
The ROM has no gapps bundled so you have to install gapps of your choice (im using NikGapps) or microG (original crDroid has signature spoofing so it should work as well)
Downloads

Issues
Perhaps the same as for original crDroid but I'm not aware of any atm

I'm on HD1903 and mic is OK. Can't say anything about 1905 but there's a chance it does not since crDroid itself is Lineage based ROM. Device tree used for building is a bit different though.

Hi Bro,
First of all thank you for sharing such amazing work with US. Further just observed appended issues,
1- Finger Print did not working properly (Tested with all color overlays)
2- Dual Sim did not working on T mobile and maybe you need to add the DSDS fix to get it working
3- Further will report if observed
Except above ROM is working fine and Micro G as well.
Just signed in After years on XDA just because of this reply
Stay Safe & Blessed
Edit: @faust93 just test an build crdroid build having dual Sim fix for t mobile variant finger print also working, so please rebuild if you have time.
Thanks to @mukesh22584 for his great help and support in adding dual Sim fix in official crdroid for us.
Downloaded the dec release, tried to installed, got an interesting error from recovery.
"Package is for product Oneplus7t but expected hotdogb."
Isn't the oneplus 7t's codename hotdogb?
Update:
Installed the latest Lineage recovery, rather than the one in the directions, and was able to get the rom to install.
Is there a way to reduce the minimum volume during calls with this rom? I have my volume set to the lowest level, but I can't hold my phone against my head because the speaker is too loud.
I have tried enabling/disabling the speakerphone and adjusting the volume slider with no change on the minimum volume output of a regular call.

Nope. Clean install. Nothing installed at all other than gapps and root, and call volume set to the lowest level is easily what I would expect at mid to high levels on any device. I want to turn down the volume, but can't as I am already at the lowest setting.
My mother called me this afternoon and I had to hold the phone 5" away from my head during the entire call because of how loud it was.
I've been trying to find a way to edit the /vendor/ect/mixer_paths files in hopes I can reduce the call gain, but every time I make a change the file size drops to 0. After that the system will no longer reboot, and I have to do a clean install.

So you mean in-call volume does not work at all or the lowest is too loud still? Check "crDroid Settings->Sound->Volume steps" and try to adjust Voice Call item.

The incall volume, at the lowest level, is like having the speakerphone turned on. I can set the phone down and clearly hear what is being said. At the lowest level is is too way loud.
I have already been able to increase the number of volume steps, unfortunately it doesn't reduce the volume level of the lowest step. Or if it is reducing the volume level is is by a trivial amount.
@faust93
Any chance you could build an update that includes this patch for the brightness? It looks like it would really smooth out the brightness ramp curve.
