I have here a modified version of XLOUD+BEATS By RockoDev, I edited his script a little and fixed the bug on his port, now all apps should be compatible with xloud and beats audio
(NOTE: THE ZIP IN RockoDev's Thread will make apps force close and is not 100% working for SGY)

having a backup of your current ROM before install this will solve this problem. it won't harm you. believe me
btw, I've see the installation files. this mod add some file into /bin, /etc, /framework, and /lib under /system. it will also replace some file under /system/etc/audio but i thought they're just audio setting file. it seems this mod is safe. I'll give a shot.

honestly when trying to uninstall by deleting the installed files from system will make situations a lot worse, during testing phase of the fix i found out several values were incorrect for the settings on our SGY, so i had to remove them and manually flash it again, that made it work,
anyways, can anyone else verify this fix?
any issues/incompatibilities?

you put a *jar file in the /framework. it block any application who acces some sound lib. now I can't acces proplayer's equalizer setting. my dsp manager is forced close too (lol)
btw, i thought the old beats audio works better. to be honest, your mod seems improve some aspect in sound quality but it doesn't give any bassbost at all. its good for accoustic. but I'm used to hear a lot of rock music. no bassboost is a bad news for me. sorry.

bassboost is acually available as you can see in some of the files
\system\etc\soundimage
\system\etc\
\system\lib\soundfx
\system\lib\
try using a different audio device or a HQ audio device

in my case it seems that your b1.jar is block acces for any application who use those file. I'm testing it with proplayer and it said that another application is block the acces

thats not necessary...i'm using my own custom rom. just need to reinstall it. it only need less than a minute

recording FM Radio a poss ?
I wonder whether "beats" is useful to record directly FM radio audio somehow. with Gingerbread that is not possible without use of native SDK afaik.

No need for this anymore. the new firmwares have the setting of disabling all sounds in the settings of the camera.

Hi all.
this is my second creation / mod for removing the in app sounds of the camera. READ ON TO REMOVE ALL SOUNDS.
this is the stock camera app, without focus sound as i have muted those.... i have tested on my own (i have removed the shutter sound prior to this mod... so if that one is there, then change/delete the files as shown here:
how to remove shutter sound and other sounds not "in app"
Tested and working on ME2 deodexed... please tell me if it works on other firmwares
also working on MEA.
Not working on:
non deodexed roms - use at own risk.. tell me how it goes if you try...
installation guide:
open a file explorer and mount it as system writeable.
go to system/app and make a backup of SamsungCamera2.apk (just in case)
copy my SamsungCamera2.apk file to system/app
reboot and enjoy

Yeap, I'm on Omega 3.0 right now. The first thing I do with every rom is to delete the camera sounds.

good enough.... tell me if there are any problems... i have been using it for one day now and it is bugfree here... i do not use the panorama and stuff... but there were more sounds present than only the focus and focus error... i have muted them all so should be perfect.

Also on Omega 3.0 and working fine so far! :good:

they should have made it optional with the sounds in the first place damn you samsung

Nice. I'd completed this mod myself when I got my s4 shortly after release, but never got around to testing it (did the same thing for my s2 back in the day). Got distracted trying to turn it into a vrtheme to make it compatible with 'all' version of camera (this way it replaces the resource files in apk and keeps that current version of camera installed). It's still just sitting in a couple of folders somewhere on my server....
(However, I think apk version means you should be able to push with adb without requiring root??)

Unfortunately I screwed up and my backup of my stock aPk was unsuccessful
Can someone please give me the stock aPk for the camera or tell me how I'd go about fixing my camera app

Couple of options...flash your rom again (extreme!) or just replace the modded apk with original apk. Some roms include updated camera software (not sure if there has been an update, but you never know) so best to get apk from the same rom version you are currently running
Also, need to make sure rom is deodexed (you could try deleting the associated odex file and see if crash stops)

Maybe it could be possible... I have never used adb... But it should be possible yes
How would one make it for all versions? I am quite new to this... I would also like to port stuff.. But I am not that good yet

Which rom do you use?
I have only having it confirmed on ME2 deodexed.. That's why I need people to try so I know
Why was your backup unsuccessful?
Btw. If you get your backup or an apk working... You can send me that file and I can mod it for you and see if that works

I use Tasker to set the phone to vibrate or silent mode when the camera app is active. Works like a charm, and I don't have to mess with custom software. I wouldn't even have to be rooted, if I weren't already.

we all know that... it has been said before... this is just so you dont need to do anything afterwards
i got pissed by turning the volume off and on constantly... thats why i did this.. and i could have used a profile.. but i thought this was a permanent fix for use in other roms and such but thanks.

(this works in my head...) You use a vrtheme (flashable zip) that replaces the ogg files (resources) in the apk with silent ogg files (vrtheme usually replaces the image resources so that you can change the look of apps such as what you see HERE)

oh... i did it manually by decompiling.. well... i cant see why it would make it compatible with other roms..
an example.
i hate the clock and alarm app in samsung.. but love the sony one... i cant install it on my samsung... so i need to port it.. but the thing you said there.. would not do the trick... there must be something else, an identifier of the phone or something.

This thread is about tochwiz sounds (UI,alarms,notifications)
ROOT REQUIRED
THIS WORKS WITH ALL ROMS [GB],[ICS],[JB]
First you must have Root Explorer Installed
Then Download the Touchwiz zip and save it to your pc
Extract the Zip file to have the touchwiz folder
Connect the phone to pc and put the Folder into SD card
Using your phone
Open the Root Explorer
First Press the ''+'' and add Root Tap
And copy the sound folder to this path
Go to this path : Root/System/Media/audio
Then mount the sytem by pressing ''MOUNT R/W''
Allow the root acces
Go to Touchwiz folder
COPY WHAT IN EACH FOLDER CONTAINS TO IT'S PATH , DON'T CUT THE FOLDERS
Reboot... Enjoy :victory:
Touchwiz Sounds : is pulled from S3 4.1.2
Touchwiz Sounds 2 don't have much difference between version 1
Touchwiz Sounds 2 contains : new lock sound (light flare)
updated the Ringtones (best of them)
Notifications : all of them to chose from
This version is pulled from galaxy tab 3 4.2.2
Note power on sound doesn't work on all device ​

Im having a weird issue. After a reboot my phone plays the ui sounds, but not the notification ones. They also dont show up in the notification sounds list. Thought it might be a permission issue, but these notification files have the same permissions as the ui ones. Any ideas?

I Think u should put notifications sounds manually go to settings > sound > notifications sounds

i hate flshable zip's cause there is opportunity to bootloop to happend man it just copy and replace

which drivers did u choose my friend whn i install processing is no and enable option in d driver status is no too plz tel me hw u did it and another thing im on locked bootloader i hav root working i can evn mount system to rw another thing did u install d apk in the system folder by chngin permissions or then
normal apk in data folder plz giv me d full process u followed to install

I know it's been long time, but if you're still requesting, compress all files that has the word "mixer" and attach it and post it in the link of my signature, the mod I create is unrelated to Viper4Android...

Solved low volume on some nougat custom rom

This file i extracted from lineageos 14.1 to fix low volume issues on AICP rom,RR,etc...Extract and copy to system/etc then reboot ur phone ^^

I had to reflash the ROM, do i need to copy the whole map or the files to root/system/etc
I also use Viper4, could that be the problem?

After reinstalled rom,u need Copy and replace all,i tested with rr5.8.1 with viper4 in magisk,no problem,call and notifications volume sound are pretty.Lineageos build 20th have low volume sound and i do that trick,it's pretty

Works with permissions

OK lemme answer this for you guys that don't get it when you place the new sound files on the system / etc folder you have to change the permissions to rw-r--r-- you'll have to look for them and change them individually. Hope this helps and then reboot and it'll work.

changing permissions did the trick... thanks !!!

Will this fix the echo issue when using speaker while on the phone?

@animodane ... Nothing basically wrong with your post but you should remember that a lot of "newbies" and some others not so used to changing "permissions" are going to be trying this. Your quote could be misleading because of this ........... "to -rw" ............... that "-" after the "to" could be misconstrued as a "permission".
The change worked perfectly on Tesla Official v 3.6 rom.

Funny is that this fixed an issue I was facing that I had no bass in headphones (they sounded like those $1 ones), but on my laptop they worked fine.
