Anyway to change emojis without root? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

I've been using iOS emojis for awhile now and I'm not fond of Samsung's. Since there's no root method yet is there anyway to change the packs without installing some silly keyboard or font pack.

I'm all for helping out with this. From what I've looked into you can change the emojis using a "flipfont" or an "iFont" apk. I'm not sure how to create one of these.
Another problem that people seem to be facing is the phone currently is denying any fonts that aren't installed using the Samsung store

I use textra for my messaging which has many emoji styles

Emoji across all apps?

On messaging, the emoji is the stock iPhone one, which is great for texting people with the other device, but on any other app it has the "android" version which is nice but annoying at the same time since I don't really know which emoji it corresponds to. Also, I can only use emoji in messaging, but if I copy and paste it to other apps, it shows up fine (but as the android version). Is there any way to be able to use these across other apps? Or be able to see the iPhone emoji on other apps?
First picture is the messaging app options, second pic is how it shows up in other apps.

If I recall correctly, there's some kind of mod with the fonts that I saw somewhere. You're going to have to Google it, but it has something to do with changing up the fonts of your phone, you'll probably need root access.
I know that GO keyboard and Go SMS support emojis but that's not for apps like Twitter, only for messaging iPhone users.
Let me know if I helped you out.

Stock SMS app - font size lock

Does anyone know if there's a way to lock down the font size in the stock messaging app? I know in previous version of touchwiz, this was possible.
I'm using an AT&T variant, and not sure if they took that ability out, or if it was just an omission from the s6 in general.
The app is fine by me, but the volume rocker changing the text size is getting annoying. Figured I'd check before changing to a new messaging app.
Thanks in advance.

How do I get rid of ugly smileys in my text messages?

I don't know what I did but for some reason, I can't seem to switch it back. In my text messages, if I type out a face like or , a really ugly emoji comes up instead. I had this issue with other phones where the android emoji would replace faces like and but I didn't have to deal with that on this phone until recently. What did I do? And how can I change it back?
Try your keyboard settings. If you are using stock lg keyboard.

Unable to use Emoji input, clipboard when using nougat quick reply

Hello, I am new to xda, I have a small issue on my galaxy s6, SM-G920I, stock nougat, and not rooted.
When I received message from sms, messenger or Whatsapp, and I want to reply using the quick reply feature from notification pull down panel, I am unable to use emoji and clipboard. The button on my keyboard is simply grayed out. Btw I'm using samsung default keyboard.
Does anyone have same issue as me? How to fix this?
Thank you.
Hi,
You could try using another keyboard, I don't remember having this problem, but I neither use Samsung Keyboard neither use emoji in quick reply. Though I'm pretty sure you can use emoji with the SwiftKey keyboard.
All the best,

Oh, Thanks for the suggestion. :good::good:
SwiftKey Keyboard does work when I reply message through nougat quick reply.
I just wondering why the emoji input & clipboard is disabled on Samsung keyboard, when using the quick reply function in nougat. (I have the tendency of not installing apps that do the exactly same thing as default one)
Same problem here. The strangest thing is that on the GS7 that works, with the same touchwiz and android versions ?
