Hello,
Bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (N8010) last Sunday and rooted it yesterday. I did a full backup from Clockworkmod recovery.
So the question is, how do I extract the STOCK recovery and the kernel into ODIN flashable files from the stock firmware.
I have the stock firmware downloaded onto my pc and its .zip which contains the .md5 and the .dll
So does anyone know how to extract the kernel and the recovery from the .md5 file into odin flashable files?
I want to do this just in case anything goes wrong (not that im new to rooting)

BUMP, I'd like to know this too.
Here's link to stock recovery - http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/GalaxyNote10.1/recovery/N8000_StockRecovery.tar , just restore your backup, go to supersu in apps directory and unroot. Then flash Stock recovery through ODIN... Takes only a few seconds flashing recovery, takes a while flashing whole rom...
Make sure you backup your stock backup onto the PC in case sd card dies or, if internally stored, you loose it somehow...

I would also like to know this. Seems useful.. How to extract the kernel and recovery from an MD5 file.. ? Using 7zip I presume but what do I keep and how would I make it installable again with odin?
Hello, i trying flash kernel of omni rom in my galaxy tab, model P6200L, i try flash in odin, but not sucess, first, odin freeze, solved this error, i found that .rar kernel no comes or not is .tar file plis help me the finding this tar file, sorry from my wonderful English kkkkkkk

Hi all!
am trying to get 6.0 on my s7580 but i have a probleme i can't flash recovery the my phone i have done some research and i have something related to installing-recovery.sh but they say u need to change it to .bak but i can't root is needed. am in a loop here, root is needed to change it but i can't and if i want to change it i need TWRP to change it but i can't u need root to install it.
Please help this is frustrating!

Hello sir/ma'am.....my twrp is outdated...I have v2.8.0.1 and I want to apdate this to v3.0 or v2.8.7.0.....can I just download the updated version ang flash it through my v2.8.0.1 twrp?
I dont have pc for odin..can you help me guys...'cause my current version now is not recommended to flash cm11 rom...im afraid if I flash cm11 with twrp v2.8.0.1 I might gwt I trouble. ...pls help me gusy..

Ya u can download it..U need to extract recovery.img from it and u can flash it from twrp or by flashify

Sir..my current twrp is v2.8.0.1 nand the size is 7mb..how come that your link is only 5mb? Is it possible that the updated version of twrp will got lower size ? What version is this sir,? I am loking fir v2.8.7. ..

Hello and welcome to XDA-developers!
First you have to change your default recovery with ODIN, HERE is one of many you can use. If you have any doubts about using ODIN you can ask in their thread.
After you successful install CWM recovery, you can download SuperSU and flash through CWM
1. Reboot recovery
2. Install zip from sdcard
3. Choose downloaded file
4. Done

Hello Guys, How Can I Deodex My Stock Rom(Or Probably the flash file)....ive successfully bricked my phone....now i am downloading the flash file (Android 7,Nougat)......,Also is there an official or unofficial TWRP for this specific model?.
Try using SPFT tool and load stock scatter loading file, ADB using fastboot, and WwR. i just did this recently but on another model. Have a nice day cheers.:good:
