About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best ROM we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonROM GitHub. and on our Gerrit CarbonROM Gerrit.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We are not always on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has addressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net using your favourite IRC app or use the web client. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.
Who is Team Carbon?

Remember, every penny you send to Carbon goes right back into the ROM. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

LP 5.1.1 (Final Build December 29, 2016)
NOTICE:
With the transition of CyanogenMod to the LineageOS fork, I hear that the cm-12.1 branch will no longer be maintained (due to fewer resources). As that is my source for CarbonROM LP patches, I have decided to run a last build and then clean up my local work tree. This may be quicker than the typical summer branch drop-off (like I experienced with KK by September), but not totally unexpected. Not sure how used this version is at this point, although my previous posted build had 72 downloads. Unfortunately I cannot keep it going forever so now may be the time to cut my losses. All is not lost - next post down Nougat progresses, and is an interesting build even in spite of its current glitches.
CONSIDERATIONS (aka What Does Not Work):
NVidia Controller. This ROM does not include the support for such as I did not patch Frameworks Base. Maybe at a later point, just not for now.
Kodi (older than Jarvis 16beta4) and some games do not have touch.
You tell me...
DOWNLOAD:
AndroidFileHost LP5.1.1
GAPPS:
OpenGApps ARM
INSTRUCTIONS:
Download ROM above, and GApps package
Save/push files to your (External) SD card (preferably in the root folder where you can find it later)
Reboot into recovery ("adb reboot recovery")
Nandroid/Back up device (optional, but highly recommended, especially if coming from stock)
Wipe cache and data/factory reset (unless updating from previous CarbonROM build)
Install ROM and GApps
Wipe Dalvik cache
Reboot
Enjoy!
EXTRA:
As of the June 5th update, this ROM can (theoretically) run on either the LP or MM bootloader (all previous versions required the LP version). This has not been extensively tested - there has been found sleep/wake-up issues with only the MM bootloader, particularly when the device is unplugged from the MicroUSB. It is not necessary (or really recommended at this point) to update the bootloader, but if you switch between LP and MM ROMS, at least theoretically you can skip the step of reflashing the bootloader (at this point this is just a notice if you do upgrade the bootloader and you find the device does not bootloop like any documentation will suggest - in the future I hope that the ROM will function fine regardless of the bootloader version).
As the CarbonROM devs halted development of LP between November 2015 and January 2016, I forked their git, and got the ROM up-to-date (from what I see) using CyanogenMod commits. This can lose functionality/features - in order for the environment to build I reverted the two Music Tile commits from March 2015 (have yet to upload those changes). My device tree and kernel, however, can still/alternatively be found of the CarbonROM Github.
The latest CVE's (Off-path and DirtyCow) have not been uploaded to CarbonROM Git (at least not yet). The two kernel patches can be found in the commits of carbon-shield.

N 7.1.2 (Moo)
CONSIDERATIONS (aka What Does Not Work):
NVidia Controller. This ROM does not include the support for such as I did not patch Frameworks Base.
HDMI AV Output (no support for audio for a while now)
Kodi (older than Jarvis 16beta4) and some games do not have touch
Netflix (and other apps that require WideVine) remain finicky
DOWNLOAD:
CarbonROM Downloads
GAPPS:
Beans GApps ARM
INSTRUCTIONS: (if coming from Lollipop, extra steps are italicized)
Download ROM above, and GApps package
Save/push files to your (External) SD card (preferably in the root folder where you can find it later)
Reboot into recovery ("adb reboot recovery")
Nandroid/Back up device (optional, but highly recommended, especially if coming from stock)
[*]Reboot to bootloader, activate fastboot (second option)
[*]Flash staging blob from Stock 5.x ROM ... "fastboot flash staging blob.img"
[*]Select option to power off device, wait a few seconds, then power on
[*]Let the system bootloop (or boot fully, depending on the LP version), then power off (hold the power button for 10 to 12 seconds)
[*]Use the magic keys (Vol-Dn + Pwr) to get back into bootloader, activate fastboot
[*]Flash TWRP or Carbon Recovery ... "fastboot flash recovery name-of-recovery.img"
Wipe cache and data/factory reset (unless updating from previous CarbonROM Nougat build)
Install ROM and GApps (always flash ROM first in line)
Wipe Dalvik cache
Reboot
Enjoy!
DOWNGRADING: (to Lollipop, if need be)
Reboot to bootloader, activate fastboot (second option)
Flash staging blob from 3.1.1 ROM ... "fastboot flash staging blob"
Select option to power off device, wait a few seconds, then power on
Let the system bootloop, then power off (hold the power button for 10 to 12 seconds)
Use the magic keys (Vol-Dn + Pwr) to get back into bootloader, activate fastboot
Flash TWRP ... "fastboot flash recovery name-of-recovery.img"
Restore previously made backup

O 8.1.0 (Noct)
Please note, this will remain as an unofficial release, a "preview" for what is available thus far. It is more or less abandoned by me (I still make builds for my own benefit; occasionally share them) since issues such as hardware acceleration are far from being resolved. I am still using it (without Gapps) - it suits me - but it is by far, not for everyone.
As such, please leave all feedback in this thread - feedback for the preview will not be accepted anywhere else.
CONSIDERATIONS (aka What Does Not Work):
The usual stuff (see considerations for Nougat)
No hardware acceleration on video playback - this means no Netflix and probably impacts YouTube as well
Bluetooth has issues pairing, sustaining reasonable transfers
Nav buttons are still a bit off (some overlay has been doing that since Nougat)
DOWNLOAD:
Android File Host
GAPPS:
OpenGapps should be fine (I am doing the de-Googling thing )
INSTRUCTIONS: (if using older bootloader, or not sure, extra steps are italicized)
Download ROM above
[*]Get the bootloader/firmware update (5.x)
Save/push file(s) to your (External) SD card (preferably in the root folder where you can find it later)
Reboot into recovery ("adb reboot recovery")
Nandroid/Back up device (optional, but highly recommended, especially if coming from stock)
Wipe cache and data/factory reset (unless updating from previous CarbonROM Noct build)
Install ROM (if adding Gapps and/or bootloader flashable, always flash ROM first in line)
Wipe Dalvik cache
Reboot
Enjoy!
DOWNGRADING: (to Moo/Nougat, if need be)
Reboot to bootloader, select recovery
Restore previously made backup (or perform wipe, then flash a Moo build as per instructions in previous post)

Should be, as it is based off the CM 12.1 project. I just don't have the LTE version to confirm.

I'll gladly test it lol

I'm on Project Fi data sim only and it sorta works. I had to turn airplane mode on and off a few times. On the official CM12.1, although I also had to turn airplane mode on and off after a reboot, data worked until next reboot. Haven't noticed any other issues yet.

I had sound glitches with most custom roms. Like when watching videos sound glitches and makes wierd noises for some seconds. The only one that hasn't gave me glitches in sound is Zombi-pop but I wanted a ROM with more personalization so I may try this one. Thanks

Nearly every CM based rom I've tried has audio stutter, it sucks. To reproduce, just start playing something in Google play music, then try to multitask between chrome, hangouts, Google plus, Facebook or any other app tbh. ?

January 16th build is up...
For when you have a cold, house bound, and now you cannot sleep...welcome to my world.
DIrect link (AndroidFileHost).
What's different you may ask? CarbonROM Fibers menu layout pretty much (sub sections have their own pages and sub menus, as opposed to having to page over). Also some kernel commits from the Tegra Team.
As such, there is currently a glitch with the "About Carbon" that if you scroll down, Settings FC's. Identified on another device as well. Nothing critical anyway (if you want to see Team Carbon, can always go to the official website instead). :good:

Good morning,
This ROM is compatible with the Shield Tablet (Wi-Fi) or the Shield Tablet (Wi-Fi + 4G LTE), or both?
Thank you very much!

Both. Even the mysterious third one with LTE voice that never got released apparently.
For testing purposes though, I use the WiFi only version.

Hmmm, never tried, so I don't know. The MultiROM has-been/is-being reworked IIRC, but my thoughts are that if the scenario works with CM, it should be fine with Carbon LP as well.
On another note...
The June 5th build has been uploaded to AFH. The June security bulletin has not been applied to CyanogenMod 12.1 yet (if a June one exists), so does not apply to the June 5th build.
All I can think of for now. Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply. I see few people had success with multiboot on android and Linux. But they never mentioned which android version they have used. I tried with cm12 and Linux but only Linux boots... I all try with other roms

halogenOS Checklist
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,

Please take a full nandroid backup!
Please copy your back up to an external device.
Backing up your Internal Storage is also recommended.
When completed, please clean flash the build!
XOS is a new generation cutting-edge OS for Android based on Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from CodeAuroraForums (CAF),
featuring only extremely minor set of components from CyanogenMod (CM) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the CodeAuroraForums (CAF), the CyanogenMod
organization and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,

Common stuff
The ROM is super stable as of now and we'll maintain a clean and proper ROM.
Known issues are going to be fixed as soon as possible. We don't have infinite time.
Highlights :
Substratum
Full media support (FFMPEG, video codecs, ...)
Great Audio quality, no distortions, no crap
Optimized many portions of the system including surfaceflinger, inputflinger, System Server, and more
Super fast boot
Superuser-capable
Great battery life
Soundmod support (not all soundmods work on Nougat, it's not our fault)
addon.d support (backups your gapps etc. when flashing new build - don't wipe system before flashing!)
init.d support
BusyBox
Disabled Access Time for all partitions (We don't need access time. When access time is enabled, it will store the exact date of the access when a file is accessed, what just wastes write cycles (in theory) and has impact in I/O performance.)
Super smooth
Signature Spoofing toggle (Support for MicroG)
Support for trusted third-party WebViews like Chrome
Long press on home for assist toggle
Security Patches in kernel
OpenGapps (Mini/Micro/Nano recommended) and Banks GApps support
Full KeyHandler & KeyDisabler support
Dexpreopt for faster (first) boot time and less space consumption on data partition
Upgrade & Boot the ROM in just 5 minutes - no more endless waiting for flashing a new build
Very high compatibility with other ROMs
How to update the ROM:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Do not wipe anything
Flash the ROM
Flash SuperSU 2.79 or newer if you want (Download 2.82 here)
or
Flash Magisk v13.1 if you want from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Reboot
You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
You don't need more than 5 minutes.
How to install the ROM for the first time:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Wipe system, data and cache (If you want to try a dirty flash, dont wipe anything)
Flash the ROM
Flash gapps if you want
Flash SuperSU 2.79 or newer if you want (Download 2.82 here)
or
Flash Magisk v13.1 if you want from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445

I should mention that you'll have no nav bar when you first boot. You'll have to go into settings and enable it. So don't freak out when you get stuck in an app, just go into settings from quick settings. I'll try to enable it and upload a new build asap.

I was stuck in the initial configuration because I did not have a lower navigation bar, I restarted the power button for a long time and I started the bootloop. I tried twice to blink the rom and I could not get out of bootloop. Waiting for new construction .... thanks, nonetheless. good job.

That's strange. I flashed a few builds and didn't have that problem. I'll see what I can do.
I'm running a new build now, the nav bar should be activated on first boot. If so, I'll post it shortly.

This ROM is fantástic
Just an observation, try to install it from the official twrp 3.1.1 and after doing the backup I was unable to access the recovery. Nor restarting in recovery mode even from the fastboot. I had to put back the squid twrp through adb ...
Sorry my bad english

Thanks man rom works perfectly ! No issues on first boot!
Has anyone else noticed a bluetooth connection failure?
Connecting to my smart clock turns off in seconds.
I regret not being able to attach the log, but due to bootloop problems when installing supersu I do not have it rooted.

I forgot to mention some Bluetooth issues, but I haven't had any trouble staying connected to anything. I thought the only problem was inbound file transfer. I'm working on it. I've been using Magisk without any issues by the way.
After installing magiks v12 I play the connection to my smartwatch and the same problem is disconnected in seconds

I think you misunderstood. I didn't mean installing Magisk would fix your Bluetooth problem. You can take a log now though right? I don't have a smartwatch and I haven't had problems staying connected to devices I have so a log may be helpful.

New build is up. Bluetooth should be all fixed now. @ENRIQUEMM I don't have a smart watch to test with if you want to try again and let me know if your problem is fixed.
Hi. You guys work hard I know it. I couldn't get past the get started screen no matter what I tried.

Sometimes old Gapps or a bad data connection can make the setupwizard hang. If you weren't using up to date Gapps try updating them. I'f that doesn't work. Try selecting not using any data or WiFi connection on setup. It worked fine for me with 6-17 Open Gapps before I uploaded the build.

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP, for Android Pie we based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP), and now for Android 10 we are fully based on AOSP.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

Please note that official builds will be deleted from our servers every month due to maintenance services.
We advise everyone to keep at least the latest or best working build on their device as a backup.

A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android 10. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
0. Real recovery is recommended, it has been reported though that FOTA recovery might work too. There are issues with reboot to recovery with some recoveries (the TWRP linked here seems to work fine for me)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 17.2 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

Thank for this new ROM.
My remarks are ofc no complaints, only hints for other testers
Today I flashed AICP-q10.0_amami_20191118_1126.zip.
1. At every boot I get an error window:
"Android System: There is an internal problem with your phone."
2. With Magisk 20.1 I have root but the SafetyNet state is red
3. I flashed magisk-riru-core-v19.5.zip, but after flashing magisk-EdXposed-YAHFA-v0.4.5.1_beta.4463.-release.zip the phone does
no longer boot I had no time to search for a solution.
4. ExSDCard Access Enabler v3.5 is working, BusyBox for Android NDK v1.31.1 too.
5. I flashed a GAPPS (I found no other version) from here
https://www.cyanogenmods.org/downloads/nano-opengapps-for-android-10-arm32/
I could login at Google but I cannot download/sync my contacts or app updates.
The Playstore shows that the device is not certificated.
6: Camera is working but I found no possibility to store the pictures to the extSDCard.
Thank you very much for your work. It's excellent.
3. I flashed magisk-riru-core-v19.5.zip, but after flashing magisk-EdXposed-YAHFA-v0.4.5.1_beta.4463.-release.zip the phone does
no longer boot I had no time to search for a solution.

hi
Camera button wake device not working.
Bluetooth find other phone but can't connected.
problem when I want to unlock the screen.
magisk 20.1 good worked.
gapp beta good worked.
Thank you for your work.
I pushed a new build since it's been some time since the last one (I've been quite busy with other things recently...).
There shouldn't be many changes from the device side, but there should be some updates and fixes to the framework which some of you might be interested in.

1. Magisk SafetyNet-status is red
2. Google Play store: play protect-certificate is not certified.
I flashed ROM, GAPPS and Magisk several times (wiped all ofc).
The rest seams to be ok but I will continue only if these two problems are solved.
New build is up.
- Sony logo fixed
- enforcing sepolicy
- Fix for TWRP time included

Sorry, problem was homemade
After a fresh installation (wipe all) it looks very good until now.
awesome
you keep this nice little phone alive
I've upgraded to AICP 15 and it's very stable, no problem until now, everything is working fine.
I think the battery is eaten a slighter more quickly than with AICP 14, but maybe I've not done a full setup of all the settings as it was in the previous version.
I just noticed a very very very small issue : the battery status of the BT device isn't shown (the parameter is correctly set).
Thanks a lot for all the work! :good:
Hi there, 2 questions if you dont mind hehe
1- About battery, which one has better performance, aicp android 7, 9 or 10 ?
2- Does anybody have the aicp android 7 ROM ?
Hy!
Wou, excelent work, it is great! Battery live in my Z1C is more better then Android 9, about 35 - 40 % better.
Official builds have started
Since I forgot to write here and some might have missed it: official AICP 15.0 builds have started for amami

So I did a full wipe and installed all again (ROM, Gapps, Magisk, Edxposed etc).

castor / LTE device:
Thanks a lot for your newest build! :good:
I do not seem to have any issues except the old one that i've had on your aicp 14 about the charging, which i've hoped to get rid of on the newest version:
- even if "wake on plug" is deactivated, the display always turns on when connecting (but it does not turn on when disconnecting)
- when charged between about 89 - 92% the LED begins to blink irregulary, and after a short time the display always turns on, but the LED turns off, and it stops charging, and the display never switches off and i cannot switch it off by the on/off-button, it always tuns on again, as long as the device is connected by usb.

Thank you so much!
So happy you didn't forget the old Castor for Q
I don't know if I'm allowed to say that or is it important or not and I think it isn't fixable but my problem about WiFi persists in Q.
As I said in P thread I think it's a problem with country code.

I liked this aicp 15 rom and realized that the battery consumes a little bit fast, not to mention that it would be nice if this rom had a split screen mode in the configuration, just like the huawei tablet, it would be different from the other aicp earlier

Hi,
Thanks for this. I've installed this on one of my Z2 tablets to compare. I mainly use it for news, weather and video sources like Netflix. Amazon Prime, Plex etc and Maps. So far it's great, everything is rock solid. I shall use this as a daily driver from now on.
Andy
Thanks for keeping this amazing tablet alive.
I have a problem with the rom in a castor windy. I can't connect to any wifi. It seems working fine, it shows all the networks. But when I type the password and press connect it says "error saving the network" and it does nothing.
Edit: Nevermind, I reflashed the rom and the wifi is working normal now. The rom so far so good, just missing the navigation bar gestures and style change.
Hello,
Just flashed yesterday night.
Working fine for the moment, very good work !
using it since a week on my castor ( LTE ) , so far no issues with mobile data or else
using the tablet daily with music apps ( spotify, youtube, amazon ) .. for games like BrownDust and for Streaming ( Crunchyroll / Vodafone and Netflix ) no issues so far
no problems with batterie usage or standby time .. its just perfect
thanks for this rom keep up your work
Has anyone tried if this ROM works well with NanoDroid or MicroG in general?
Thanks
I downloaded the ROM yesterday and made a clean installation of it. The constant reboot issue when the screen turns off is still there unfortunately, just like in the Android 9
I use the rom for a week and everything works fine, no reboots, no force closes.
On my Xperia z2 Tablet LIT it was good, but when it turns off and leaves charging off it doesn't turn on while the charger is connected, it stays with the infinite loop and only turns on by holding the volume button up and down + the off button to be able to turn on , I hope you keep updating this rom because I like the recent grid bar:fingers-crossed:

Hi SpiritCroc, according to you, in term of ram and battery usage, this ROM how does compare to the 14.0 one? It's on the same level or there are still fixes and tweaks to be made?
Thank you for your work nonetheless.
Best regards.

I usually don't look at these numbers, so if they aren't particularly bad, I don't notice. That said, for what I'm using it I don't have any complaints right now.
Apart from that, there are some small bugs like described in the first post, and looks like timekeep (remembering the time across reboots) broke in the latest build, which I'm debugging right now.

The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Pie.
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk canary
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

Wifi connection is not very good, but had this too on Stock.
And please make sure, you use the latest build - this might be the 2. issue you have.
EDIT: next build will have torch issue fixed
Everything is working except the torch, and there's no any customization for hw bottons.

We have now Official State.
First WEEKLY will be available on Wednesday.
A experimental build is available on official download page - which you can install too.
You can just simple dirty flash the upcomming WEEKLY build and then you can install via OTA app.
Enjoy!
I can't beileve this. I came here just to check the original HTC Camera apk and bum! a second Android 10 based ROM. I'm happy as **** ??
---------- Post added at 13:55 ---------- Previous post was at 13:52 ----------
Just a question. Would it be possible to make this ROM SafetyNet compatible?

not sure, if you can pass SafetyNet otherwise you should hide with Magisk - but I I've not tested this.
I've found a bug!
When I activate developer options, phone gets into a bootloop and it's unusable unless you make a factory reset on TWRP. I have the latest firmware and TWRP, I'm S-OFF and my GApps are the mini package. I love this ROM, so I've decided to power off my M7 and wait until it becomes stable.
Good work!

Edit: make sure you have the latest build running. I think my very first build had an issue in developer options

With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS), we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q-R with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device-specific repositories.
If there are any bugs we will sort them out if it concerns our codebase. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but the discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Does this ROM include GApps or do I have to flash them separately?
A. No, we do not include prebuilt GApps, because of possible licensing issues with Google Software and because some users do not want GApps preinstalled as they want to use alternative services like MicroG or just prefer flashing a GApps "flavor" of their liking.
Q. Does this ROM use the camera or gallery app from stock?
A. It depends on the device. In most cases these apps include proprietary libs/code and cannot be included in the device trees on Github or we risk having the ROM banned from Github. In this case, we might try to make them installable (separate from the ROM zip), or we might provide a version of these apps with the ROM that doesn't include any proprietary libs. It's also sometimes the case that these apps are simply not included because we didn't feel the need to do so for the device in question.
Q. Does this ROM have Extended/Scrolling screenshot?
A. No, extended screenshot was implemented using an app extracted and modified from manufacturer firmware/system images and is proprietary as well. It led to the closing of many ROM's sources on GitHub.
Q. Does this ROM have FaceUnlock?
A. No, FaceUnlock was also an app extracted and modified from some manufacturers. Even Google removed the Trusted Face (FaceUnlock) feature for security reasons on Android 9.0/10.x. Adding the modified feature did the same to ROM sources as described above.
Q. Can you add (insert favorite weather provider)?
A. No, we cannot add more weather providers as the implementations change and we (the ROM) now have to pay for most services, and that is not cheap, so we decided to use the best free service that we could find, the only way to add your own is for users to apply for their own API key to use their preferred service.
Q. Does this ROM have private official builds with the above proprietary libs included?
A. No, we believe in open source software, this way users know what's in the build and can replicate it themselves, all official builds are built on our build servers using the public sources from github and no one can (or would) add their own private sources to the build.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is the usual behavior on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache, and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution, and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to perform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to lose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to lose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterward.
Using the ROM:
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. Do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get, and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section on the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android R. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM zip file.
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM zip file.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work)
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them, OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.4 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
On encrypted devices, you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

Reported random reboots and sound is too loud and burst. But in AOSP this problem does not appear. I'm not sure if the random reboots part has to do with the AICP, I brought my cell phone in for assistance today, battery was changed. But on AOSP the sound was normal. I'll test for more days and send a logcat.
Good customizations and performance. Free ram at 800-1300mb. Screens of the ROM:

I can see some things that might cause that audio issue; altho it's weird that i cant notice it; it might just be the opalum speaker protection being all wonky.
You are gonna have to get me a console-ramoops from after the reboot, just pull /sys/fs/pstore, because those have no info for me
I even have a XT1635-02 myself as my test device, the only thing different is that i have an ever so slightly newer firmware version; M8953_10238.63.04.83R vs M8953_10238.63.04.83.01R on mine
Sound is low and fixed and back again very loud with noise, distortion and popping. After notification in whatsapp. Ok i want to check this.
(Edit):
console-ramoops isn't available after kernel panic
