Affinity Case by Poectic review

Hello all ,
I received a proposition by Poetic to test the new Affinity Case for our Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge + so there is my review.
After three weeks of use, I can give a full review of the Affinity Case for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus by Poetic.
Design:
First of all, I have to admit that the crystal clear style is just perfect to see all the beauty of the S6 Edge Plus, it's really a good point as I don't like cases that hide all the phone.
Protection:
There is a full TPU protection aroud the case, with bumper corner to decrease the shock when the phone fall on the ground.
I must say that's very important for me as I have a little daughter and she likes to take my phone to watch her cartoons. And this could lead to little accidents with my phone on the floor:s.
With this case I don't fear this issue and I feel it very resistant, not as resistant as a UAG case but it's enough for most of the fall.
Hands-on:
There are grips all around the case, to have a better grip and don't let it fall during use. It's very comfortable under the finger and on the hand.
Connections:
The cut to plug the phone are well cut, and there is no issue with different kind of connector.
I also tried to charge my phone on wireless charger and it works very well too.
Conclusion:
It's quite classy and quite solid so I may say it's a very good choice for those who wants thin protection and resistant to shocks.
The quality is very good and it's a great case. So for the price no hesitation, it's a very good option.

I REALLY like the looks of this case... right now I have a UAG because it was all I could get, and I wasn't about to go around un-protected. So far all the sleek looking ones that i see (like many Spigen or whatever) look like they offer no protection. That TPU seems important.... this looks like the case I may get next....

It looks like it offers the same amount of protection as the UAG I have, but it isn't ugly as sin. Which one is that, the black/clear one correct? nevermind, it clearly is that one...

Yes it's the black clear. It's a good protection, I must say UAG is a better protection but larger, and uglier that's sure. If you don't have kids that throw your phone on the floor saying "Daddy I tried to give you your phone, I'm sorry", it's far enough protection

I also got a sample to test by Poetic and let me tell you, it hasn't come off since I got it (couple weeks ago). My favorite one so far.

From the reviews, its missing a cutout for microphone on top of the phone next to the sim tray. Can you confirm? And is that one for noise cancelling?

Yes I confirm, it's the one for noise cancelling, but none of the person I called noticed a difference.

THE problem is as yet there doesn't appear to be a tempered screen that works with the S6Edge+. I have tried about five, there is a complete thread in this section dedicated to this very subject. I also own the Affinity case and can assure you that to date no glass screen protector would stay fixed while using that case.

I wonder what you guys are using for screen protector as my spigen is not sticking as long as I am using the Affinity case, thinking of tempered glass as well but seems there isn't any good choice so far

Just got it and realized that it doesn't have the top mic hole...

I got the same case and it's wonderful as I have the beach colour and I can see al the colours

I also want to ask if the screen protector that is already applied to the phone is glass or plastic. It seems like glass to me.

Plastic. Glass can't be so thin and it scratches rather easily.

I keep mine installed, once it becomes too scratched I'll just remove it and use the phone without a screen protector. During past few years I find "naked" screens robust and scratch resistant enough. Screen protectors either don't work very well (plastic) or they are too thick and degrade the screen performance (glass). If the phone wasn't so slippery I would happily use it without a case too. It makes it just unnecessary bulky. But well, I'm out of luck and just hope that manufacturers will stop using glass backs and return to non slippery high quality plastic again..

Can the Mi 10T Lite be switched on and off using a magentic cover by opening and closing the cover, as many Samsung models do? Does it have a sensor for that, or do you have to switch it on and off manually if you open such a cove?

Phone from Europe are not.. totally feel difference..

I'm tired of using Tempered glasses cuz the edges tend to chip away within few weeks. Can anyone suggest me a good screen protector that lasts? Thank you.

You can try Gadgetshieldz liquid screen protector. Since it's a thin film screen protector Unlike tempered glasses the edges won't get chipped away. I've tried testing the fingerprint sensor with the screen protector attached TBH they were way better than the previous 2 SP i have used.

Moi j'utilise des protections en TPU, très facile à poser et vraiment bien à l'usage, ma marque IBYWIND TPU FILM. Pour mon ONEPLUS 9 je mets celles du ONEPLUS 8, elles si adaptent a merveille.

Thanks for the suggestion I have already received mine

I have only seen edge chipping on thin tempered glass protectors. I get Supershieldz from Amazon and they have never chipped on me. I have used them on the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6P, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 6T, and now the OnePlus 9.

Once I've seen someone on this forum say "just get a bunch of the cheapest tempered glass, screen protectors aren't made to last so when it breaks just replace it really easy" and that's what I'm doing now.Got 7 at once at 3$ a piece and the first one is still intact after 2 months

I don't think screen protector offers a protection against fall damages it gives protection against scratches and fingerprints but a good quality will last for a long duration. I have mine for over an year. I am bit careful with my phone.
However dropping your phone from a certain level of height no matter what kind of protection you invest in your screen will receive the impact and you have to replace the screen and it purely depends on the impact.

Using screen protectors in your device is optional but there might be some level of protection
If you are anything like me spending a lot of time in Gaming, Investing in good quality screen protectors will help.
The screen protector in my device has been around for 10 months now. I see it getting scratched but I would surely regret it if that happened to my phone's screen.
But it's based on your preference.

Update, I picked up Spigen TGSP on Amazon. World's better than UniqueMe. Not to mention, UniqueMe couldn't figure out a means to send "warranty" replacement. I use a Spigen case and their TGSP is perfect with it.

Accessories Screen protector for Galaxy Watch 4

I need a good quality screen protector for Galaxy Watch 4 and it should not be a case.

I recently took delivery of a Ringke bezel and screen protector. Very happy with both. Screen protector just dropped in and the bezel took a couple goes aligning it, but I love the look.

I bought a Whitestone on sale and love it. I forget it is on there, as it works so well.

I'd suggest you, screen protectors from Gadgetshieldz, it is a film protector which is installed with liquid. This will give good protection for the display, I too applied it on my Galaxy Watch 4 and it has a self-healing feature.

This watch is kind of heavy for me so I would say a film screen guard would be great and it doesn't put extra weight on the watch. Glass protector always breaks in a month so I installed this film protector.

Yes it brakes under impact. This is the idea - takes hit, disperses energy, breaks and saves screen. Somehow like airbag.

Spigen ? I use all kinda Spigen branded things. Never had a problem. Phone case, phone screen protector, watch case, watch screen protector, wireless charger, car charger.

I got some NEWZEROL tempered glass protectors for my galaxy watch 4 classic from amazon, they fit perfectly, touch response is good, oleophobic coating works perfectly. I have them installed for some months now and I can recommend them to everyone.

Sure is, I have the protector on the watch since the gw4c release and still no single scratch on the glass, it definitely exceeded my expectations
