Moto Hint - X Style (Pure) Accessories

I highly recommend the Moto Hint if you're into listening to audio books or podcasts. It's very unobtrusive and for spoken audio I prefer to have it only in one ear so it's perfect. I use it when I ride my bike so I can keep one ear open to impending murderous cars.
The latest version has fixed my only issues with the device: low volume and short-ish battery life. I actually sent my old one in for warranty replacement and they sent me the new one.
I'm excited to try out some of the motorola-only features such as always listening when I get my Moto X Pure.
Do any of you guys use the hint? What do you think?

its pretty neat, but for me i dont think its worth the price. Ill just use headphones

I use the Moto Hint and Moto Sliver Elite. I like both, though the Sliver is much louder and lasts longer.

What earphones/headphones are you using for your N1?

I have a Soundmagic PL-30 for music...I know it's nothing spectacular, but it's good for the money
I'm looking to upgrade though, might want to hear what other users are using
Beats by Dre (Tour w/ controltalk)
I use AKG K390NC
er, are you just looking for headphone suggestions? Same as any other PMP?
I use Sennheiser CX300, cheap enough on Amazon (** below) but amazingly better than my previous pair, but my next pair I'll go ahead and spend a little more I think. These are really the low end of the mid-range. They spend 98% of their time in my Creative Zen, but hey, I've used 'em on the N1 a time or two.
** Be very careful buying headphones anywhere, there are tons of fakes out there. If you buy 'em on Amazon for example, only buy them from Amazon, ie: Amazon LLC is the seller. At least that way you'll have a better chance of them being real and returning them if they are not. Do research into any set of headphones, but also research the fakes so you can identify if yours are fake when you receive them!
I'm using Ultimate Ears SuperFi but I really love Monter Beats Solo
I just bought some Sony's that have the track control and they're really comfortable and have better bass then the included ones.

Stock headphones for working out or when I am on a call.
Etymotic Research ER-4 for when I care about audio quality a little bit, but not enough to use my real cans or my home system.
I am using the Motorola s305 very confortable, the keys all work and they sound pretty good.

I'm using Monster Turbines and JAYS q-JAYS. The Turbines sound a little better on the N1 most of the times cause the bass can be a little weak with the q-JAYS since there's no EQ to adjust it.
Klipsch
Klipsch Image S4 I use them exclusively, and they were well worth every penny!
I have the Ultimate Ears triplefi 10Vi. these sound awesome and have a mic too..
also the mute button on the wire allows skipping tracks

Help me decide on headphones..

I know there are a couple threads throughout xda about which are the best headphones but I figured I'd ask in my own thread cuz my priorities may be different than others. If this should be in Q&A, the mods can you please move it?
I had a pair of ibeats headphones that came with the Rezound. They broke so Verizon sent me a brand new pair in the retail box that you would get at Target or Best Buy. There are a little bit different than the first ones. Anyways, the right ear bud is losing its sound compared to the left one so I need a new pair.
I LOVED the sound from beats. I listen to a lot of rap so I like deep bass. Are there any headphones that sound just as nice or better at a lower or equal price? I really want the studios or pros but it's too much for me to spend right now.
I've seen people mention the s4i's. Do they have deep bass like the beats?
P. S. I also didn't care for the way the ibeats felt in my ear. They weren't comfortable. So something with a nice fit for long periods would be a plus.
Sent from my One X using XDA Premium HD app
There's nothing that comes to mind that compares to the bass from Beats by Dre.
I personally don't have the S4i because those are meant to be used with Apple devices. I do on the other hand have the S4a and they don't fill the bottom end as much for songs with deep bass, but they are crisp and clear. Very evenly toned.
If you want good bass, check out the IE monitors that I mentioned in the other thread.

I'd take Sennheiser over Beats or Bose any day of the week.
Audio Technica ATH-M50's like these http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ..._ATH_M50_Professional_Closed_Back_Studio.html the Sony MDR-V6 or a pair of Sennhaiser HD 280 PROs, HD 448s or higher, depending on your budget.
Edit: Since you want bass, I know the 280 PROs are considered to be pretty deep sounding but I don't know about the rest. I have HD 448s and love them but I like flat EQ, so they probably aren't for you. You should read reviews on audiophile sites to see which model matches your preferences.
I bought some beats tour headphones a while back and I am unhappy with how things ended up. My wife couldn't find her gym headphones so she grabbed my beats and now she won't give them back or share them with me. Always connected to her phone. I could justify buying another pair but don't want to drop the money on a second pair at the moment. Great headphones though.

I have a pair of Porta Pros too. They're pretty great for the money, but they're not very comfortable for long use and they're completely open. So, if there is any background noise, you can't hear the music anymore

I thought that there would be some audiophiles on XDA but apparently not. Beats? Bose? Horrible waste of money. Porta Pros are great for the price. But like previously stated, they leak, a lot. The ATH M50's are great as well. Very good entry level audiophile headphones. If you're budget allows it, the DT 770 Pro 80 Ohms are also really good.

I actually really liked the sound of the beats headsets that I've tried. I'm just looking for something similar that may be less expensive or around the same price.

i bought sol republics, used my gf's best buy discount and got em for 50 dollars and they are same quality as beats, love em! only thing i dont like about them is i cant wear em for a few hours or they begin hurting the top of my ears. but they retail for 120 dollars. best purchase i bought in a while! they also sound amazing on the one xl, beats is still active and gives it that amazing deep bass!
You get better sound out of cans. Are you fixed on earbuds or will over the ear do? You mentioned studios, so I assume you're ok with over the ear. Because the driver is bigger, the sound is much richer dollar-for-dollar.
Glaucoma Cat had some solid recommendations. If you're looking to spend a little less, the zx-600's are pretty good. You can find them on sale for around 50.
Can anyone recommend earphones with a good handsfree system that works? I tried the S4a, and while it sounds great, I hate the one button control. Is there a three button control earphone that allows me to play/pause, change tracks, vol. up/down, answer calls and finish them too? And is there one that can allow me to launch google voice actions?

Headset

I'm in the market for some new headphones and I'm having a hard time deciding between the Bose MIE2 or the Klipsch Image S4A II's .
Does anyone have any experience with either of these headphones?
Any opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
I use too own both of them mie2 they have great confront and klips are in ear that personal I hate so much... But always comes Down to personal opinion.

Do you find the Bose stay in your ear well?
I know the Bose MIE2 are not noise cancelling headphones, but do they isolate the noise at all?
For example when your listening to music or on a phone call can you easily hear other conversations going on around you?
I'm also in the market for a new pair of headphones. Looking at the S4As as they're supposed to be meant for android handsets. They're on sale in my area for 50$ so I'm looking at those

Canada Computers I'm guessing?
I'm leaning towards the Klipsch personally. The cord on them looks like it can take much more of a beating compared to the Bose and I like the fact that Klipsch has a android app that will let you customize the features of the button on the device.
They do pretty good job blocking outside noise for daily commute on the train for me... Confront is excellent they are tight fit but you practically can't feel them its amazing especially when you are running.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
I've never used the Bose set before, but the Klipsch I used for a few weeks before settling on Etymotic Research hf2's.
My ear isn't professionally trained, and I haven't used too many pairs of headphones, but to me, the Klipsch S4A's sound very warm and rich. The bass is a bit boomy, but as a result, it sounds a bit mushy when compared to the hf2's. The hf2's should be right in your price range (it comes with an inline mic with one button) and owners are promised Essency's Awareness app, though that hasn't been released on Android yet. You should check them out.
P.S. They do stick a bit into your ears; I've never had a problem with this and experience no fatigue with the hf2's, even after 6 or 7 hours of continuous wear. You just gotta find the right tip.

Stereo Bluetooth Headset
I have a Sony SBH20, its great. You can use your own headphones with it, although their is nothing wrong with the ones that come with it just a very short cable. It also has a NFC chip in it, so no fussing about with pairing, just tap the phone to the device and it will turn on Bluetooth, and pair immediately. Before I had the Sony MW600 which was also good but the SBH20 has a much MUCH better clip and can actually be attached to your belt, pocket etc, I have it clipped to either my front inside jacket pocket or to my front right pants pocket if I am using a longer pair of headphones. It feels incredibly sturdy, it feels like it will outlive my phone.
Yes those are the tones. I have the tones + or 730 model are these the type your looking for? And battery life is awesome I am charging every three days or so and I watch a lot of Netflix using them and the normal games and talking.

I really like my Tones (730's). Very convenient, great battery life, comfortable, and the controls are easy to reach.
But with that said I mainly listen to podcasts. For music they are mediocre at best, but I would guess most bluetooth headsets are (unless you want to drop a bunch of coin on the Sennheisers - and even then, it's still bluetooth).
I was looking at the tones, but the neckband thing might get annoying..
I play golf so not sure if it might get in the way or maybe come off during my swing... Is there anyway to remove the neckband thing and still work?

I play golf 2. And while I don't listen to music on the golf course, I just put mine on & hit a few balls into my practice net and it is not a problem. It fits under your collar and doesn't really move around much in the swing.
I have the Plantronic BackBeat Go. Very light weight, solid product. It's an in-ear style so it blocks out a lot of outside noise which is great but just pay attention while waking across a street.
Battery life is approx 5-6 hours for me. It could be longer but the unit itself is so small... Where would they put a bigger battery? LOL!
I'd recommend them.

They're ok, but as I said, compared to good wired buds (akg, senn, shure, etc.) they are mediocre at best. But for fifty bucks I wasn't expecting great sound quality.
I prefer the extended highs setting, and wished it didn't always reset to the heavy bass setting at power on.
I really like my Motorola S10-HD headset... It pairs quickly, and eliminates the cords. I find that the headset needs to be at almost full volume most of the time, though, as it is a little quiet. This may be a design choice to keep the battery life high...

my budget is up to 100 but the more cost effective, the better so i can spend more on other accessories!
I have own the jaybirds x for a while now. Couldn't be happier with them. Sure they are a bit expensive but in my opinion worth every penny. My backup pair is the Motorola s10. The range is awesome on them. I could run a 1/8 mile track and never lose signal with my device.
I love my jaybirds bluebuds x they have amazing sound
The jay birds are the best, i found the next best at a fair price to be the Plantronics backbeat 2 to be the next best thing. Great sound good range and small footprint. People have claimed poor battery life. I avagerage about 5 to 6 hours of constant use. They claim 4 to 6 from the company i believe. Can be purchased around 50 dollars.

I've tried two models of the LG Tone with my Note 2. At times they sounded horrible, and also frequently cut the microphone out; the people on the call thought I hung up but I could still hear them but they couldn't hear me. That seemed to be a software issue on the Note 2. And it also got to where the headphones were staticy or went out even though they were only 2 feet from the phone. A reboot 90% of the time fixed those problems for a while.
So far I haven't experienced that with the Note 4 thankfully.
I have a pair of these under the anker brand. Not bad for only 30 bucks that I paid for them.

I think my next headphones may be something like the samsung Level on set. Just waiting for a better price on them.
For those with the Jaybirds, how is the battery life?
AS long as they don't cut out/mute when wifi is on.. Had that issue with my Note 3 and LG HBS-750
I got the jaybirds. Love them. I've never ran them completely out of battery before charging, so I don't know the exact battery life. Have gotten over 5 hours many times though.

I want something unintrusive, to take advantage from android wear to actually control the device: so earphones, sound quality and almost no cable... right now the only thing I found are the Jaybirds.
JasonJoel, may I ask how fares the mic and noise cancellation system? The only complaint I've ever heard is about poor voice in-call!
I think the noise cancelation is pretty good. The mic quality is ok, but not great.

I just purchased the Plantronics Backbeats 2 about 3 days ago. Had never seen them but I went into Vzn to look for Note 4 accessories and saw the last pair hanging. I thought to myself, WOW only one pair....that's a good sign, right? lol. Anyway, I have to say I am satisfied with the sound quality. I love the pouch & fact that it is a on the go charger as well. I had plantronics before as a bluetooth earpiece about 10yrs ago and that was a good device way back then. I have issues with finding the proper sized buds to use. Oddly enough the large ones work best as fully plugging my ear for best sound quality. I am still gonna try Sammy' s Circle Gear though.
