I purchased a new Yuphoria Mobile. I have not installed sd card nor enabled developer options. When I connect to Laptop the phone is not getting detected. I just want to transfer some music files and I am not interested in enabling developer options or rooting phone. Can I do this? HOW?
I think there was a problem with the connecting USB cable. I tried with a brand new cable and I was able to connect laptop to Mobile. How do I delete this thread. This looks like a silly mistake.

First check with another usb cable. If it is working check with another device. If drivers is a problem. Go to control panel and update drivers. Or delete and allow windows to discover and load drivers online from windows. If it still does not work. Use Windows Dr.Fixit application you can download from windows download. Also update windows 7 with latest security updates. Also Check if your anti virus is updated and it is configured to allow devices connecting to laptop. If not enable it in antivirus settings.
If you determine the problem is not with the PC but could be with the phone. Go to Settings > Sytem > About Phone > Build no. Touch on build no 7 times quickly and it opens up developer options. Enable developer option and try.
When you connect a usb drive if you get a pop up asking connect as 1. Media device, 2.Camera, 3.Charge only. Choose 1.Media device if you choose 3 your computer will not detect the usb.

The phone has limited settings ie Phone settings, Display, Security, Call settings and Connections

my gfs has the same phone, the korean version, the correct usb driver is an HTC one... i don't know what i did, but windows auto update downloaded that for me and it worked!!! this is just a first step for me.... now i need to root it, and still not getting it .. and no much ppl can help :| anyway for the driver, i hope it works for you! cheers!

I have installed MyMobiler on my PC (Win7 x64) and followed the instrusctions on this website. http://mymobiler.com/android-setup-start.html
But i cant connect with USB! The device manager shows a conflict icon with the one.
USB Debugging is turned on.
Can enyone help me with that? I would likely use my phone over the PC.
You probably have an incorrect ADB driver installed, try manually selecting the Google/Nexus driver.

Just attach your device with pc and click my mobiler see android settings in this there is install and uninstall press install my mobiler will automatically install it's app in your mobile.
But i am not sure if this function needs root or not because it wanted permission in rooted device and i can't test on not rooted not having correct adb drivers. Can anyone help me adb drivers for karbonn a12 star it is a phone with dead display i will use it with my pc thank you.

I have an ASUS X55A Laptop with Windows 10 and I can't connect any phone with it. USB Sticks etc work normally so I think it is a MTP related problem. My device right now is a Moto G. I connect it with the USB port and my pc detects it, but I can't get access to the data on the phone. I installed the motorola drivers manually, but it didn't work either.
When I am in the windows "device manager" I can see my phone, but I am not able to install the MTP drivers properly. There is a small warning triangle next to my device name.
I tried many things, but I can not find a solution. If it is really MTP/PTP related, how can I install the drivers properly and working?

Edit: When I connect the phone without any drivers installed it says "Device is being installed" and the bar is ca. 5% filled and is stuck there. So the MTP won't install automatically.
Solved:
I installed the "Windows 10 Media Feature Pack" and now it works. I had the N Version of Win10, so it was not preinstalled.

If ur rooted install multirom and install cm13 as secondary os.. then connect to ur pc while ur in cm13 it will detect the driver after that unstall cm 13 and connect as u do normally

oh sorry for not sharing what i did to solve the problem! here is what i did!
1. connect phone to pc
2. unlock
3. swipe down and touch the notification that says "usb for charging touch for more options"
4. select the option you want

After updating my Redmi Note 7 pro to miui 12
I don't know why, but I can't connect my Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 pro to my laptop/desktop via USB to transfer files, and I tried different solutions
1-I've logged into my Mi account.
2- install Qualcoom and adb and Google drivers
3- I've enabled dev settings, OEM Unlocking, USB debugging, and Mi Unlock Status.
4- changing many cables and my pc and laptop.
5- i tried to connect note 7 pro to my pc in fastboot mode but pc cant recognised it.
6- i made default USB configuration, file transfer
When I connect my phone, its only charging and not connected
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Hello, i might be a bit late to post a reply here but i faced the same issue of my laptop not detecting my note 7 pro and the fault was in my windows version it was 8.1 pro N and i came to realise that windows N versions don't have media pack features which are required in order to detect the phone when is connected through usb. The solution was fairly simple all i had to do is head out to Microsoft website, download media pack feature for Windows N versions installer, install it then reboot the system wait for it to apply the update then try out and connect the phone, it detected! Hope you find this helpful.
