Hey buddy...i know it can be flashed through fastboot but i don't know the procedure...will you plz help me flashing this?

Use Advanced Nokia X2 Tool
Sent from my NokiaX2DS using XDA Free mobile app

Advanced Nokia X2 Tool is closed source program. I NOT recommend use Advanced Nokia X2 Tool.
For install TWRP you must:
1. install drivers for Nokia X2 from Microsoft official site (They will install with http://www.microsoft.com/ru-ru/mobile/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA142987 or you may install separately http://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-x2/general/direct-links-lumia-software-recovery-t3051923)
2. get adb util from Android SDK (install adb through manager and use searching by folders "adb") https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
2.1 Hot keys: Win + R
2.2
Code:
cmd
End press Enter key
2.3 Then change dir to adb folder
Code:
d:
chdir d:\blabla\
(i mean adb.exe must be in folder "blabla", for example)
3. turn off phone
press Volume Down + Power button 10 seconds (fastboot mode for Nokia X2)
connect usb cable
4. use command for installation
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0421 flash recovery twrp-2.8.7.0-20150625-ara.img
-i 0x0421 it's Nokia X2 product code for adb configuration.

Did you think why it is closed source?

Did you have link on source code on GitHub with open source license?

I meant did you know why it is closed source?
- It has 3rd party commercial and illegal feature like creating Qualcomm radio configuration file.
- It has a lot of additional 3rd party closed-source binaries which it's creators don't want to leaks it's command parameters.
- This app isn't freeware, it is donationware. So it is a commercial app.
- It isn't included any open source binary (except recoveries)
- Finally on XDA, there are a lot of code stealers.
So why should I do this tool open source?
I wrote nearly 1200 lines code, I add clickable bat feature which there isn't any app like this on XDA, I spent days to enhance it.
Please make emphaty with me.

This tool just send commands to adb util. I am sure this tool just execute command like
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0421 flash recovery twrp-2.8.7.0-20150625-ara.img
or
Code:
install <path-to-apk>
or use super user for special actions
Code:
su <my-super-user-command>
etc http://developer.android.com/tools/help/adb.html#commandsummary
or just deletes "bad" .apk
I mean it's program just use TWRP or CWM from another real developers and adb. That program very simple for yours closed source reason.
Maybe (de)odexing it's important for someone but exists another most open ways for that .
I would remind you; smartphone it's very personal and important thing (contacts, emails, passwords) for using closed source programs for modify firmware without code review. (i mean Google Play Market review .apk code and I have some confidence
big companies have a risk if they use "bad" functions in programs (like send statistic). Yes, in spite of this, they collect static, but they very restricted.
I don't know what yours (or another) program doing with my smartphone. And i don't want use reverse engineering for that.

Hahaha Only these commands ha?
It can modify imei too did you know?
Is there any program to create Qualcomm Configuration File with IMEI do you know?
This is most powerful tool for Nokia X2. If you want to secure your phone, I recommend to don't install Twrp which is based on insecured kernel.
If you don't trust my tool, please don't use only. If you want to nobody doesn't use it, you should find and share it's vulnerabilities.
And I repeat again, please don't use my tool.
If I can find your phone's specific data eg imei, imsi, mac address, I will add next version of my tool that brick-bootloader trap for your device which is only fixed with jtag .

"this program uses real developers things"
Really? I prefer that because it is simple and safe. I could flash "my" insecured kernel and perform these actions too. But I didn't prefer this method due security issues.
Next update (v3.00); I add perform all commands directly on phone not via any recovery. So no need to "real developer's things" anymore.
Maybe you will respect my work.

NOTE: Key files are signed with a Digital Certificate from skipsoft.net but some ‘may’ get picked up as potentially harmful by Antivirus Programs and deleted. They are not harmful, this is a false positive given because of the compiler used. If this happens restore the file and exclude the folder from future scans to use it. This seems to happen mostly on AVG Free and Norton. If you are using the Auto Update feature on pro versions then you will need to disable the AV program or exclude the folder from scans before running the update again.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PUBLIC (FREE) AND PROFESSIONAL (DONATE) VERSIONS?
THE PUBLIC VERSION OF THE TOOLKIT INCLUDES EVERYTHING YOU COULD NEED TO MANIPULATE AND ROOT YOUR DEVICE.
ACTIVATING THE PROFESSIONAL VERSION ADDS THE MOST USEFUL FUNCTION IN THE TOOLKIT, THE ABILITY TO CHECK FOR ‘AUTO UPDATES’ DIRECTLY VIA THE TOOLKIT AND HAVE THEM PUSHED TO YOUR PC RIGHT AWAY AS SOON AS THEY ARE UPLOADED WITHOUT NEEDING TO DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE TOOLKIT EVERY TIME. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE LATEST VERSION AS SOON AS IT IS MADE AVAILABLE. THIS MEANS SMALLER UPDATES CAN BE SENT OUT MORE FREQUENTLY, SUCH AS ADDING A SINGLE FUNCTION, FIXING A BUG OR ADDING COMPATIBILITY FOR A SINGLE CARRIER. THE SMALLER UPDATES WILL BE COMPILED AND RELEASED TO THE XDA COMMUNITY AS A FULL (PUBLIC) DOWNLOAD VERSION SO PROFESSIONAL VERSIONS ARE ALWAYS UPDATED SOONER.
THE PRO VERSION ALSO ADDS THE ABILITY TO CHECK FOR THE LATEST VERSION OF SUPERUSER AND RECOVERY FILES AND DOWNLOAD THEM DIRECTLY TO THE TOOLKIT.
THE ‘QUICK PICKS’ SECTION[/B] ALLOWS YOU TO PROGRAM UPTO 10 SLOTS WITH TASKS THAT YOU MAY PERFORM ON A REGULAR BASIS OR JUST WANT TO KEEP A SET OF TASKS IN 1 PLACE. THEN JUST SELECT THE SLOT AND IT WILL REMEMBER ALL YOUR SETTINGS FOR THAT TASK AND RUN IT.
PRO USERS CAN ALSO SELECT THE “ANY BUILD” OPTION IN THE BUILD SELECTION SCREEN TO ROOT ANY BUILD AS LONG AS THE VERSION IS SUPPORTED (USEFUL IF YOUR BUILD IS NOT LISTED).
MORE IMPORTANTLY DONATING SHOWS YOUR APPRECIATION AND ALLOWS THE TOOLKIT TO CONTINUE TO EVOLVE AND GROW.
AUTO REPLY LINKS FOR PAYPAL TO GET A CODE INSTANTLY CAN BE FOUND AT http://goo.gl/nyGqv
--------------------------------------------------------------
PLEASE READ THE *HELP* PAGE AT http://www.skipsoft.net/?page_id=1269 OR USE THE INFORMATION SECTION WITHIN THE TOOLKIT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS. I HAVE TAKEN A LOT OF TIME TO WRITE IT AND SOMETHING ON THERE SHOULD ANSWER 99% OF PROBLEMS.
--------------------------------------------------------------
1. INSTALLING ADB/FASTBOOT DRIVERS
The first thing you need to do is to install the adb/fastboot drivers. These are needed so that you can unlock your bootloader, root your device and perform other adb/fastboot functions.
THE DRIVERS CAN BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY VIA THE TOOLKIT. OPTION 1 IN THE MAIN MENU.
If drivers are not installed or there is an exclamation mark next to the device:
Plug the device in to a usb cable directly connected to your motherboard.
In the Device Manager a new item, usually called Android 1.0 should pop up in the list.
Right click on the device item then left click on Update Driver Software. Select 'browse my computer' and then 'Let me pick from a list'.
If no adb interface driver appears in the list then untick 'Show compatible hardware' and find the Android or Samsung adb interface driver.
If you cannot find either of these click Have Disk, browse to the Toolkit install folder, drivers folder, click on android_winusb.inf and click Open.
Click OK and select Google ADB Interface.
Make sure you have USB debugging enabled in settings, developer options. In Android 4.2.2 or later you have to enable the developer options screen by going to settings, About on your device and click on Build number at the bottom 7 times until it says You are now a developer. If you have already enabled usb debugging then unplug/replug the usb cable.
On Android 4.2.2 or later when you replug the usb cable after enabling usb debugging for the first time you will get a popup asking you to authenticate your pc. Tick 'Always allow' then click 'ok'.
--------------------------------------------------------------
2. USING SKIPSOFT UNIFIED ANDROID TOOLKIT
When starting the Toolkit you will first be asked which device you want to work with. Working folders will be created and the device files downloaded. You will then be taken to the Model/Build selection screen where you can do a number of things (other than select your model/build): Type '00' to enter your activation code and enable pro features, 'i' will take you to the Information and Help Section, 'a' will give you information on how to add support for a new build.
Supported builds are listed in the Model/Build selection screen and typing the associated number (i.e. 11) will download needed boot and recovery files (stock and custom recovery) then check for and download the latest superuser files available and custom recovery (pro versions only), verify all the files and start the Main Menu. You can now use all the functions and tools the Android Toolkit offers. Pro users can select the "any build" option to root any build (useful if your build is not listed).

**FAQ**
Q. What is ADB Shell?
Adb shell is a linux command line tool (because android is based on linux) used to send commands to your android device. For S-ON devices, this is crucial for modifying files in the /system partition (where the rom sits) as you cannot modify anything in /system when the rom is running without S-OFF (e.g removing system apps).
From Google:
Android Debug Bridge (adb) is a versatile tool lets you manage the state of an emulator instance or Android-powered device. It is a client-server program that includes three components:
A client, which runs on your development machine. You can invoke a client from a shell by issuing an adb command. Other Android tools such as the ADT plugin and DDMS also create adb clients.
A server, which runs as a background process on your development machine. The server manages communication between the client and the adb daemon running on an emulator or device.
A daemon, which runs as a background process on each emulator or device instance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q. I flashed CWM but each time I reboot the Stock Recovery is back
There is an auto recovery restore system on Android that will reflash the Stock Recovery if you flash CWM on a Stock Rom.
Use Root Explorer to Mount the system folder as R/W (or use a free app from the Market). Delete the file recovery-from-boot.p from /system. Now when you flash CWM Recovery it will NOT be overwritten after a reboot. You can also use the Toolkit to rename the files if you wish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q. What is the difference between Nandroid and Titanium backup?
A NANDROID will backup the whole system including boot, system, data and recovery partitions so you can restore a complete rom and all data and settings.
Essentially Titanium Backup is used to backup apps and associated user data. These could be restored AFTER a full wipe and a new Rom had been flashed on your phone.
The other option now which google added into the new adb command list is the adb backup which is in the ToolKit and can do the same job as Titanium Backup but will store the data on your PC rather than on the phone (where it takes up space and could be deleted).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q. When would i perform a nandroid vs a titanium backup?
You would perform a nandroid backup to back up your entire system including boot image and data and system partitions so you can restore your entire system back to that particular point in the future.
You would use Titanium Backup mainly to back up your installed apps and settings so they could be reinstalled easily and quickly on any future roms. You can also choose individual apps to backup or restore on Titanium Backup whereas if you restore your boot partition via CWM Recovery you are stuck with the whole lot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q. When I try to open the ToolKit I get a box pop up for a split second and then it goes away. My AntiVirus program says the file may be harmful.
The exe files I compiled are not digitally signed with a Microsoft certificate (as they cost money) so certain AntiVirus programs (mainly Norton and AVG Free) will pick it up as potentially harmful when it is not. They pick up ANY file that doesnt contain a purchased Microsoft certificate in the same way. Restore the deleted file and exclude it from further scans and it will be fine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q. I donated but where do I get my activation code from?
Donation Codes are sent out manually to your PayPal email address [unless otherwise stated] after a confirmation email from PayPal has been receive. The Code can then be entered in the ToolKit Settings, Activate Donators Features Screen. This will enable The Auto Updates, Quick Picks and Extras Features in the ToolKit. Please be patient when waiting for the Code to be sent as it depends very much on what I am doing and whether I am at my PC when the donation is made. Please do not post in the ToolKit's thread or pm me asking for the activation code as it clogs up the thread and my messages. If you haven't received your code after 24 hours then feel free to email me via the skipsoft.net contact page.
Don't worry that you have been forgotten about, I check all emails personally and will deal with it as soon as I can.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q. I have Windows 8 and cannot install the drivers
How to Disable Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows 8:
From the Metro Start Screen, open Settings (move your mouse to the bottom-right-corner of the screen and wait for the pop-out bar to appear, then click the Gear icon).
Click ‘More PC Settings’.
Click ‘General’.
Scroll down, and click ‘Restart now’ under ‘Advanced startup’.
Wait a bit.
Click ‘Troubleshoot’.
Click ‘Advanced Options’
Click ‘Windows Startup Settings’
Click Restart.
When your computer restarts, select ‘Disable driver signature enforcement‘ from the list. You can now load your modified driver. Reboot again once the driver is installed and all will be well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q. I flashed the Stock Firmware Image. Odin flashes the file successfully and the phone reboots but it stays stuck on the samsung logo
If the firmware tar file does not include a userdata image (which most Samsung firmware do not) then your userdata partition will be left from your previous setup. If this is incompatible with the new firmware because of build or something else then your system will freeze on boot up.
This is easily fixable by holding the Volume UP, Home and Power buttons all at the same time for about 10 seconds until the device reboots to the Stock Recovery screen. Use the Volume Down button to scroll down to 'wipe data/factory reset' and press the Home button to select it. Go down to yes to confirm and your userdata partition will be wiped. Your device should now boot fine.

Its a driver problem with Odin.
Try rebooting your phone and pc and use a different usb port. I had that problem in the past and it usually fixed it. Also make sure you dont have samsung kies on your pc as Odin doesnt play nicely with it at all.

As far as I know the gsm and lte lodels are exactly the same hardware so in theory it should work fine. The only difference would be radios. This is what im hoping so I can keep everything under a single Toolkit. Do you have a link to a Note 2 LTE forum so I can check it?

I've used these mskip all in one tools for various Android devices and can thoroughly recommend them. Whilst I have already rooted and modded my 7100 I will be downloading this tool and buying him yet another beer!

Thanks Mark! That did the trick.
Just another question, after making a Nandroid backup I end up (on my PC) with a 16 mb folder like on a incremental backup but without the blobs folder.
Don't know why not able to download from MediaFire.
Try to get it later again. Thanks anyway.
Ive used it, works like a charm!!!! Thanks so much mate, i wil be making a donation tomorrow.

Sorry, no links as yet. I'm waiting for the Note 2 LTE to launch here (that's the only model to be launched here) this month, thus I had started to read Note 2 threads to get myself ready. I'll pm you if I find any link useful. So far, from the threads in Xda Note 2, there's no good information on LTE.

Cyanogen OS Factory Image Downloader

Introduction
If you get your hands on a device with Cyanogen OS preinstalled and there is no factory image for it published by Cyanogen Inc. yet, then this script is for you. It constructs download links of factory image from a device running Cyanogen OS.
There are different files for a factory image: signed fastboot flashable zip, signed zip & boot-debuggable image.
Signed fastboot flashable zip: It contains the complete rom and can overwrite everything including your data partition. These cannot be flashed via recovery - extract their contents and flash via fastboot. An unlocked bootloader is required.
Signed zip: Normal recovery-flashable zip that contains just the system and kernel (they won't overwrite your data partition).
Boot-debuggable image: It is boot image/kernel that enables adb root and the developer menu options.
Requirements
1. Windows Vista or newer. 2000/XP should also work if choice.exe is present. Linux & OSX users should check the Python port.
2. Properly installed adb driver; see here.
3. Properly configured adb_usb.ini (optional); see here.
4. A device with regular Cyanogen OS (testing versions aren't supported) installed; list is here.
Download
https://github.com/Titokhan/cosfid
Usage
Download all of the files using "Download ZIP" option, extract somewhere (path with no space is recommended), connect the target device using USB cable & execute COSFID.cmd.
COSFID.py is intended for Linux & OSX users, though Windows users can run it too if Python for Windows is installed. The Python port is a quick-and-dirty one; it needs more refinement.
Don't confuse it by Cyanogen OS OTA trackers like the original one; read carefully to spot the difference.

2. Jernej Simončič for providing Windows builds of GNU wget
3. Google for providing adb binaries under Apache license
4. Cyanogen for making Android more beautiful
Reserved for future.
Great job!
There is a way to get all ROM links for a specific model?
@bartito
Technically yes, but Cyanogen has made the tracking a little bit complicated now for 3rd parties. We also need to develop a database for historic data.

Usage:
If you want to unpack an app, you need to push the "dexname" file to "/data/" in the mobile before starting the app. The first line in "dexname" is the feature string (referring to "slide.pptx"). The second line is the data path of the target app (e.g. "/data/data/com.test.test/"). Its line ending should be in the style of Unix/Linux. You can observe the log using "logcat" to determine whether the unpacking procedure is finished. Once done, the generated "whole.dex" file is the wanted result which is located in the app's data directory.

This ROM is not rooted and has no modifications other than the DEXHUNTER integration(reason is some apps will detect root). If you have a custom recovery you can apply root easily via flash file. This ROM is built to analyze/dump dex data of packages that use heavy anti debugging, dex manipulation and dynamically loaded methods and classes . If you don't understand this, this ROM is probably not for you. Please deffer to the power point slides for more information.
This ROM has only been tested with Nexus Grouper. It May brick other devices.
Tested via Flashing with TeamWin recovery.

[Kernel] EFIDROID - Ultimate preboot enviroment! - Multiboot / Fastboot / UEFI

updated4/4/2017 (Still does not work on stock 5.0) - Removed due to it still not booting stock 5.0, and ALSO now breaks booting unpatched.
twrp 3.1 is broken
twrp 2.7 is broken
twrp 3.0.1 works
some/most custom roms work
Most official/stock do not.
EFIDROID - Official link
Developer: m11kkaa
DO NOT BUG THE AUTHOR ABOUT BUGS/FEATURES, THIS IS UNOFFICIAL.
Most custom roms appear to boot
Install:
assumes on stock firmware (Custom roms must report the DEVICEID as hlte, hltetmo, hltespr or hltevzw. Ask your Rom maintainer to correct it or visit post #51)
assumes root and bootloader unlocked
For now "efidroid" on playstore is not configured for our device, so we will do this using our own server:
Download "EFIDROID" from the playstore
Download "TerminalEmulator" from the playstore (or use adb shell)
Download "SimpleHTTPServer" from the playstore
NEW UNTESTED - Removed
OLD Download EFIDROID_SERVER_FILES from View attachment EFIDROID_SERVER_FILES.zip
Open and extract the "device" and "ota" folder to the INTERNAL storage of your phone
Open SimpleHTTPServer (do not change default settings)
Open Terminal Emulator and enter: (make sure you didn't forget any spaces)
su
setprop efidroid.server_url "http://localhost:12345"
Now open efidroid, it should automatically connect. Now press the menu key in the top left corner and press install, then press the big install button.
Now create your slot, and reboot.
Use the vol +/- to navigate up or down, use the power button to select an option
Long press power button on internal rom/recovery to boot without efidroid
Reinstalling/Updating:
Download the new OTAPACKAGE file and extract to INTERNALSD, replace old device/ota folders
Clear EFIDROIDMANAGER cache/data
Run the SETPROP command (don't forget su)
Turn on SimpleHTTPserver
Open efidroid and click uninstall, and then click install (Or click reinstall)
MAKE SURE YOUR BUILD DATE NOW MATCHES THE UPDATED BUILD DATE
Uninstall:
if you hit the uninstall button, the app copies the contents of the UEFIESP back to the real partitions and deletes the partition_*.img files. It does not delete the UEFIESP directory or any of the multiboot directories because they may contain other important files.
flashing boot+recovery outside of EFIDroid's control(e.g. using stock's fastboot/odin flash, or using unpatched boot) is pretty much the same as uninstalling efidroid without deleting the partition_*img files.
All that means that you don't have to worry about any of that if you restores your boot+recovery partitions(either through the app or manually). If you want to free up some space you can delete the UEFIESP directory using a root file manager.
Bugs/Issues:
REPORT ERRORS/BUG ON GITHUB
"can't find tagloader for type -1" - your recovery/rom is not supported (like twrp 3)
Report errors: https://github.com/efidroid/projectmanagement/issues
What you must include:
Exact steps to reproduce the error
Give the exact error shown on screen
If its storage related:
Give the output of "cat /proc/1/mountinfo"
EMERGENCY :
If you find yourself frustrated and just wanting things back the way they were:
Download odin
Download twrp (get the md5/tar version for odin)
Turn off phone (pull battery)
boot to download mode by holding vol down and home and power
Start up odin and press the AP button and browse for the TWRP file. Press start to flash.
Reboot phone into twrp recovery (vol up + home + power), and restore your boot/recovery partitions.
EFIDROID has now been effectively disabled[/HIDE]

Works on N9005 LTE ?
It looks pretty cool but I've got limited knowledge. My N9005 is on phronesis rom v4.1, IdleKernel v6.6.5 and all partitions converted to F2FS, will it work on this format as well :/
As long as it is a note 3 on msm8974 (sorry exynos) it should work.
File system support should be trivial. I used that same FS myself
Is this an actual GRUB loader for android?
If so am ashuming this means it's possible for UNIX install
i.e. Arch Linux as OS.......
Hmmm.... Windows RT on Note 3... ^^
What about ACPI? We might need this for WinRT
With all due respect, I think you've posted a how to post bit earlier. I'm a flashaholic & the wait for the zip is killing me
I didn't think the day would come.

Wonder if this is ever going to work Great concept though.
Fake ¿ ???
Only what i see its a bootanimation, in the Video from a "older and other"
The OP account is suspended so I guess something fishy is going on.
Guess we will wait and see
oh come on now. I got suspended for being rude to a well respected member of xda. And its not fake... Really? Anyways... I took my ban as a break and just started back with m1cha on getting the uefi part to work with the screen.
A few pointers: You still need devs to port each os, like windows, true linux ect.
This is just a multiboot. So many devices lack that, some had safestrap, or kexec ect, but all those methods had quirks or special rules, or depended on android. This loads before even the kernel.
Also, it will have many tools that a typical recovery has, so you may not even need to reboot into recovery to setup partitions, also aroma was ported, so maybe even installing roms/kernels too.
Also, there will be an efidroid server "store" where you can get tools and apps to run in efidroid. So devs can extend functionality. Also there will be an android installer to make everything easier.
Just think of this as a pimped out safestrap.

It doesn't matter what negative comments you get because "Criticism Is The Key To Innovation" it's my personal quotation ...I've been visiting this thread since day one at minimum of three times a day hopping that you would have uploaded the zip...Make it quick buddy & keep up the good work :good:
We need a samsung expert. Getting the display to work in uefi is troublesome. DTSI and gcdb display experience is needed.

as far as my knowledge is concerned, Master @darkera13 is kinda expert you're looking for...I don't personally know him or his skills but people around note 3 forums praise his work very much
Is this Note 3 specific?
This is kinda an off topic question, but, just a few days ago i wanted to try Remix OS out in my PC, but noticed that there is no direct EFI support...just thinking if this thread would be any benefit for PC UEFI users trying to boot Android x86 directly through efi file.
sorry for the question, might be my knowledge limitation on the field...
Using a x64 cpu and grub or refind you can boot RemixOS, they have a uefi image on their site. (Thats what they said) Basically you really don't need efidroid for this, as it would only make it more complicated.
grub is exactly my problem...
thanks a lot for clarifying

[ROM] [Unofficial] [Stable] GrapheneOS 10 Pre-Rooted

**** Disclaimer: I'm not responsible if you destroy your device. Use at your own risk!!! ****
GrapheneOS is an open source privacy and security focused mobile OS with Android app compatibility. It's focused on the research and development of privacy and security technology including substantial improvements to sandboxing, exploit mitigations and the permission model. Currently it is based on AOSP.
Link: (Mod Edit: Link removed)
Important information:
1. This ROM does NOT include Gapps or Google Play Service and hasn't Signature Spoofing Support. If you rely on the mentioned things this Rom isn't for you.
2. I take the official releases, modify the install script and include a pre-patched Magisk boot image. I'm not in contact with the GrapheneOS dev which is the reason why i mark this ROM as Unofficial.
3. Due of point two: Please don't ask questions on the official channels as reddit. Leave comments etc here on this thread.
4. You need a unlocked bootloader to flash this rom and must have adb+fastboot installed on your computer. If this is not the case download it from here: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
I plan to make unofficial releases when new official builds are available.
Features:
AOSP 10
Built-in Firewall
Built-in local backup function (it's not working on all Apps; some doesn't support it)
Improved MAC Randomization
Hardened Kernel
Expanded Permissions (sensors)
Force calls to 4G only
Bugs
- Receiving text over verizon sim doesn't work reliable. Thx @wolfu11 for reporting.
Download: (Mod Edit: Link removed)
Installation:
Notice 1: The First-time installation will wipe your data. Backup first (i recommend this too when you follow the update instructions to be safe)
Notice 2: I recommend to have the newest stock firmware before the First-time installation
First-time installation:
1. Download the zip from the linked download page and unzip it on your computer
2. Copy the following files into the plattform-tools folder:
-> coral zip
-> bootloader img
-> radio img
-> flash-all_first_install.bat for Windows or flash-all_first_install.sh for Linux
3. Boot your phone into fastboot mode and verify that the phone is recognized from your computer
4. In Terminal (Linux) or Powershell (Windows): Run the appropriate script
5. Install the Magisk Manager App
10. Be happy with a rooted GrapheneOS
Update:
Notice: I assume that fastboot+adb is still installed on your computer.
1. Download the newest zip from the linked download page and unzip it on your computer
2. Copy the following files into the plattform-tools folder:
-> coral zip
-> bootloader img
-> radio img
-> flash-all.bat for Windows or flash-all.sh for Linux
If your computer asks you to overwrite the current files in the plattform-tools folder, confirm it.
3. Boot your phone into fastboot mode and verify that the phone is recognized from your computer
4. In Terminal (Linux) or Powershell (Windows): Run the appropriate script
5. Start the system once. This need a few more time than the first installation cause the data partition remains. Be patient.
6. Install the Magisk Manager App
7. Be happy with a rooted GrapheneOS

Changelog from 11.08.2020:
Updated the OP with some more informations
Rewrite the instruction cause i believe that they were not fully correct.
Reupload the 2020.08.03.22 unofficial release with new structure. I patched the boot.img which come with GrapheneOS in the zip with Magisk and then replaced the original GrapheneOS boot.img in the zip with the patched version.
Hi good evening to all,
Can somebody try to install this Rom with the updated instructions? I think they should work now (at least on Linux) but i would appreciate a confirmation to be safe.

Just a heads up - you really aren't meant to pre-patch a boot image for Coral/Flame, as you are only meant to patch the boot image from your own individual device, as per the man topjohnwu himself

Hi Cryptt33,
first thx for your praise.
Regarding wireguard integration:
You should be able to use Wireguard independently from the kernel if i understand the description from the wireguard f-droid app right (https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.wireguard.android/).
Then Wireguard runs in a userspace version. Apart from that i have found a xda thread already regarding wireguard integration. I guess i will at least try it and mayby i will be successful with the help of the thread. But i can't give a eta. I built roms from sources in the past but i until now i didn't try to modify them before the compiling step.
Best regards

Just need to add this to local_manifest for WG support
If unfamiliar with local_manifest, it's located in /.repo/local_manifests/ - it'll be the only file in that dir, often it's called room service.xml but it could be something like graphene_manifest.xml. Either way, it'll be the only file there and it'll be an XML - add those lines above to it and sync and you should have WireGuard support.
<remote name="zx2c4" fetch=https://git.zx2c4.com/>
<project remote="zx2c4" name="android_kernel_wireguard" path="kernel/wireguard" revision="master" sync-s="true" />

Hi wolfu11,
i know this message in similar way on Linux. To fix it on linux i need to run all fastboot commands and scripts with './' before.
So for example:
./fastboot devices instead of fastboot devices or ./flash-all.sh instead of flash-all.sh.
I done this in the scripts for linux already cause i know it is needed there but didn't thought that it is needed on windows, too.
So please go into the script and make this before all fastboot commands:
./
Save it and execute it in the plattform-tools folder with ./ again in the shell. Hopefully it runs then.
If this fixes your issue, i will update the windows scripts.

that didn't work either i downloaded the latest platform tools so im at a loss about the fastboot issue.
I'm going keep trying
Update: I was able to get the official Graphene to work via putting the image into a working stock update platform tools folder and renaming it to the stock image. it wouldn't work per instruction on the website very strange.

Hi wolfu11,
i tested the bat script (more precisely flash-all.bat) with './' on my dedicated gaming machine with win 10 2004 education, too. First i got the same problem as you: It didn't run whether i made './' before all fastboot commands in the scripts.
Then i removed all the './' before all fastboot command except at this line:
Code:
$version= fastboot --version; ^
So the line looks now:
Code:
$version=./fastboot --version; ^
And hurray the script worked without problems on my machine (see attached screenshots).
Only as reminder: The bat scripts are from the 2020.08.07.01 unofficial release so you need the radio, bootloader and image files from that release.
i attached the new scripts with my mentioned modification, too. Xda doesn't allow bat files so i made them into a zip file. Please test once more. Thx in advance.

Yeah finally. I'm happy to read that. Then i will update the OP & scripts in the next days and take you on the credit section. Thx very much for your windows testing.
Now the next on the to-do list is the building of this rom from source and adding Wireguard support into the kernel

No problem i'm happy to test. unfortunately the still is an issue with texting on verizon which is what i use this phone on. the texts send but receiving them is not reliable. I tested on an att sim and it didn't have an issue so it's something on verizon's end.
