[SPR/KK] Temporary fix, voicemail update "General Failure" - Sprint Galaxy Note 4 Themes and Apps

I have been getting a problem with voicemail (visual voicemail, "vvm") nagging about a required update while unable to do so with a "General Failure" error. Google search revealed many of the same issue for other devices but didn't see any for this device.
I restored my stock rom backup, updated voicemail, backed up voicemail, and restored custom Rom. I can confirm that simply installing this voicemail will solve the issue (for now) until another required voicemail update is pushed OTA.
this is comes from STOCK SPRINT NOTE 4 N910P KITKAT NIE rom, it should work on any KITKAT rom for this device.
it MIGHT work on lollipop for anyone using that and having the issue too though you should use titanium backup to save your old voicemail beforehand, since uninstalling the update "restoring factory version" may also delete all your voice messages.
it also MIGHT work for other U.S. variants of the Note 4 but that is your risk to take.

[Q] [HELP]I accidentally applied an OTA to stock rooted ICS

Hello my name is Unicorn, I did a forum search to see if my particular scenario has been addressed before but did not find anything (perhaps because of my choice of search keywords, I'm not sure.) I made some mistakes and was hoping a more informed member can assist me in remedying my errors. Here is the situation as of currently:
1. I purchased a Verizon SGS3 (SCH-i535) back in December 2012, and was able to root it successfully using the method in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1875914
2. I flashed Synergy ROM (Synergy_d2vzw_02Dec12_2021_r125_s.zip) so my custom binary count is thus far 1.
3. I began having some trouble with Synergy ROM around the time that Verizon deployed their Stock Jellybean OTA update (the "Limit Mobile Data Usage" and "Use Mobile Data" toggle check boxes disappeared from the settings menu which is unusual because I did NOT opt to accept the OTA update.)
4. Rather than trying to manually diagnose why the check box toggles were then missing, I decided merely to Restore my CWMR Recovery Image in order to bring myself back to the modded stock rom (effectively putting me back in the position that I was in after step 1 but before step 2 mentioned above.)
5. Returning to the modded stock rom brought back the toggles as desired, however since the rom was ICS 4.0.4 I was still persistently receiving the nag message asking me download and install the OTA Jellybean update (which I deferred.)
6. This morning the deferment date lapsed, which prompted my phone to restart and boot back in to CWMR 6.0.1.0 where I was asked to confirm whether CWMR should flash the update package.
7. I mistakenly chose to apply the update because I was disoriented due to having just recently awoken, and because I had already hit the home button I allowed the update to proceed (I didn't want to pull the battery part-way through the flash for fear that it would somehow brick my phone.)
8. There were 2 other prompts that appeared during this process, the first one telling me that the update might install stock recovery and the second one informing me that root might be lost (even though I chose the menu options that should have prevented these occurrences from happening it would appear that they in fact still took place because when I attempted to boot back in to CWMR from the EZ-Recovery 2.0 menu I was confronted with the screen telling me that I had unauthorized software and should see a Verizon representative to fix it.
9. After powering down I was able to boot back in to Android after which I found that the "About Phone" section reported an incremental update to Android 4.1.1 so it would appear that the OTA installed partially (even though I'm still getting the notification telling me I need to download the update.)
Basically I just want to return my device to unrooted stock so that I can start fresh then re-root later, but I'm not sure what the best method to use is because I'm not certain if the device is still rooted at this point.

[Q] Help, moto g stuck at activation.

So I recently got a boost moto g, specifically for the purpose of unlocking it and installing custom roms, First I had CM11, ran great but I needed more, then I flashed SlimKat, that was even better after I flashed pink kernel in but, I derped it some how and went back to stock 4.4.2, now when ever I flash a new ROM, it has this dumb activation that dials *22899 and then tells me "we're sorry, we could not complete your activation at this time, please try again later" then kicks me to the beginning and I all get is the option to try and activate again, it even does it on CM11 now. what did do? I followed all instructions to the tee on the rom websites. I just downgraded to stock 4.3, then manually updated to 4.4.2 and now its giving me a "cellular activation bug" update, hopefully this fixes my problem. I'll post again if it does not, Thanks for any insight.

EDIT: The "Cellular activation bug fix" you can receive via manual updates on the stock 4.4.2 rom fixed my issue, If you find your self with this issue, fear not! just flash lowest stock android for you phone and let it update by checking for them via the system update in the system settings. ^.^ (i feel this will be useful to anyone who instantly unlocks the BL and flashes a custom rom before even starting stock like I did)
edit edit: I only worked for one installation, when I tried switching again, it broke it again and got caught in activation again.

[Q] Tmo Samsung S4 (SGH-M919) with Google Play Edition, need help

(this belongs elsewhere but 10 posts...)
I have a rooted S4 and just installed Dandvh's Google Play Edition v.20150919 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2539361) rom. I used TWRP to install, wiping everything but internal storage, then flashed the rom. Installed fine, no errors. Took the usual bit of extra time to boot the first time then up and running clean and stable. The issue is that the OTA Updater app doesn't work, severely limiting my ROM options. It didn't install as part of the rom install, though I'm not sure if it's normal to just get it off the play store. I get an error message about not being compatible with the ROM and can't access it (error message screen cap below). Just in case, I wiped the phone and flashed again just to be sure, same result. The OTA Updater is important as this is where you can change kernals, audioFX stuff, toggle advanced power menus, and quite a bit more. When I used this ROM during the first part of the year OTA Updater worked just fine but I switched off in July to try another ROM so maybe something with the ROM has changed? I tried searching for any comments in the thread to indicate either that something changed with OTA Updater or if anyone else had a similar problem, found nothing. Would appreciate if anyone might know why OTA Updater isn't working or how I might correct it. Thanks.
Edit #1: I haven't changed the model number to SGH-M919 (as seen in the screen cap) in build.prop yet as if I can't get this ROM to work right I'll need to flash something else.
Edit #2: I noted in the patch notes that the ROM was updated for OTA Updater 2.4.2 and I was running 2.5.3 so I uninstalled it and installed 2.4.2. No luck there either.

[Completed] Calling issue on Note 2

I have googled, dug deep through XDA, went round in circles flashing modems, roms, kernels, everything i can (including stock rom), but I cannot seem to fix my note II. It is a T889 T-Mobile version, rooted, and flashed with TWRP 3.0.2.x I am running Revolution Remix 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and for the life of me I cannot figure out why I can't make calls. I attempt to make a call and i get no dial tone, however the call does connect and go through, but nor I or the person on the other end can hear anything at all. I have ran multiple system information checks and I have a valid IMEI, which is the original IMEI, i do not have a CSC code if that means anything, I have no access to any USSD codes, however I do have full SMS/MMS/Data (even hotspot) services. This phone was updated to the COH4 4.3 OTA before root, and TWRP flash. I have had zero issues flashing any rom for this device, GAPPS flashes fine, SuperSU and so on. I would very much like to be able to regain the ability to make calls so if anyone could help me that would be fabulous. Thanks!

as a side note, my USB port has taken a ****, so the only fix that i can do currently has to be done on the phone itself.
Hi !
This kind of problems can be basically solved in the rom thread you are using it , the developer can help when you post logs as well
Have you tried to flash to stock in order to exclude a hardware issue ?
Cheers !

Cant rollback from OxygenOS 12 to 11

Hi, I have this super-weird issue - my OOS got update to v12 and since then weird things happened:
It started to suddenly and immediately turn off and I couldnt do a thing. I did hard reset and noticed that turning on Gooogle Assistant (or using the mic at all) caused these resets. So I didnt activte Assistant. Unfortunnately, this caused my mic not to work at all.
So i have given up and decided to revert to previous rom - v11. Unfortunately, that is everything but simple:
I have downloaded ROM for EU from here oneplus site and tried both OP local update tool and this weird app named my application2. Both dont seem to work and im not sure why, I checked like 5 different ROM versions and I am kind of stuck. OP Local prompts me that I cannot install lower version of package than currently installed and this other app throws me pop up with this message: "Verification failed". I tried to google it and checked here on forum and I cant find similar thread.
Could anyone help me out with this?
I just went through this. I downgraded from 12L to 11. For some reason some of the roms do not want to be used by the local upgrade app. I used a different one from the one I will direct you to and it said that I couldn't downgrade. I just had to find the right one. Go here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...a-oxygen-os-repo-of-oxygen-os-builds.3930585/
Under "signed flashable zips" in the op, click "click to show content". I don't know which one you need global/India or Europe. I specifically used the global/India OnePlus7ProOxygen_21.P.41_GLO_0410_2112101753.
Use the local upgrade tool app. Downgrading will completely wipe your phone. So, make backups of your backups. If you root your phone, make sure to freeze the System Update app to get rid of the annoying update notification. So happy to have root/twrp back.
Thanks, unfortunately I have rolled back to OOS 11 and it didnt solve a thing - i keep seeing this lightning symbol and phone turns off even on full battery, I cant make phone calls because any use of mic turns off the phone immediately and I have no clue what to do next with it.
