Hey everyone, as some of you might know, i have been trying to get an android phone for quite some time now. After having followed many device, i have been trying to get the Infuse since it was released. A friend of mine will be in NY tomorrow for a couple days and I am trying to have my cousin pick up the phone for me to give to my friend. He said there is an ATT by his work on 34th. I know that's not much info, but by anychance are any of you fmiliar with that location? My brother tried to get it for me in Boston and they kept telling him that they would not sell it to him without a contract. I am trying to avoid that bs this time around... SHould my cousin mention that I live out of the country and see if they are more willing? Anyways, any thoughts and or opinions are greatly appreciated. Hope this works out for me this time around.

I don't really know Manhattan all that well, but don't really remember seeing a Walmart anywhere around... I need to purchase it somewhere where i have friends or family traveling so that they can bring it back to me as I am currently living in the Dominican Republic.

Well my day went from great to sh*t in just a few minutes... I get a msg that my cousin is on his way to get me the Infuse at an ATT in NY so that he can give it to my buddy who is coming back to the DR tomorrow. Then i get the msg that they would not sell it to him off-contract... This keeps happening everytime i finally have someone in the US that can get the phone. Losing all hope...

Best Buy. There is a 24 hour one somewhere in the 30's in Manhattan.

Seriously? Anyoen happen to know how much Best Buy is selling them for off contract?

i asked a guy at the att store if we could buy phones off contract just the phoen no contract he said yes.
note! in order for a att store to sell a phone of contract it has to be a corporate store.

Transformer: Thats weird cause my cousin said that it was a corporate store and the people at the store said he might have better luck at one of the small non corporate stores... I just wish i was the one that could do take care of it and i didn't have to have my friends and family jumping around and being given responses and answers that are mixed.

hmm. either way. it is a att product and you are paying full price for it. why not hit up att 1 800 number thur skype and see what you can get done.
maybe have your cousin wait there while your on the phone and have one of the managers from central call in to the store to authorise the sale.

I might just have to do something like that... Wish it were as easy as just purchasing, but hey, i guess good things don't come easy? I need to get hyped up again on this phone, cause this bs is seriously putting a damper on things...lol.

I am wondering if it is worth it to plunge into this device or I should wait to see what happens on Oct. Supposedly the rumors are that there is going to be some new transformer or what not.
I'm kinda on the fence whether or not to just take the plunge and buy this tablet or just wait 2 more months... Help?

October is all rumors! There wont be new model this year, Im 95% sure and ordered one myself yesterday.
3G model is coming in next month, if you need that, but it will add the price too much for my needs.

I am in the same situation. With the christmas season right around the corner, manufacturers would be crazy not to introduce new models in the Oct/Nov window. I've heard that the new Kal-El cores from nVidia should be released in August as well.

That's probably never going to happen. Its in their best interest to make you think that nothing better will ever come along and you might as well get one now because you're just wasting time while everyone else is out having fun. The problem is that they also need to show investors that they are ahead of their competition with innovation and new products. So they are intentionally vague in order to put you right in the situation you're in...decisions, decisions
The truth is that just as you purchase your TF, something new will come out the week after. If you're wanting to be on the bleeding edge of a new tech, then it's going to cost you. I personally, like to let others figure out how to root my favorite devices then just buy them a beer. If it hadn't been for the $100 coupon floating around last week, I would still be waiting. If you want, you could even wait for the newest "Kal El" tablet to arrive then pick up a tegra2 for cheap!

I have a pre-order on this phone but I do not know whether or not to trust this company and buy this sweet little phone. By the end of tomorrow I'll make my decission but I was rather curious if anyone here is going for it ?
Their website does not show any specifications anymore like it used to and paying by cc and giving a company like this my cc information is kind of risky. Qualcomm 600 + 2GB ram for only 199$ too good to be true?

Yeah I ordered back in June/July too and just got the request for payment too. I'm hesitant to pay too especially given their site has no new info and their Facebook is very much outdated.
The fact the email says its automated too makes me sceptical.
I emailed them asking for more info but heard nothing.

I sent mail to Techdy and Also ask some question in Bear Pro Add review but they didn't replied:crying:. When is the OPO coming out for actual sales?

Im joined up to OP to be inline for invite but it will prob take awhile as joined maybe a week and half back. I'm happy with my HTC one max. But really like this phone. I'm not paying over the odds when to actually buy its £280 but people trying to get £350+. Thanks

Asking here is fairly pointless, you're not gonna get a solid answer. The only people that can answer that are OnePlus themselves.

It's been tallied up, through various sources, leaks, hearsay that they have only sold around 50,000 devices, from late May til end of July.
Run the numbers, and you might get an idea of how long it will take if that turns out to be the case, UNLESS they can push production
way up, which I doubt. They originally said they could produce 30k per week, but obviously that was another OnePlus fable.

This is purely speculation but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't actually see that day. We don't know for sure but they are either making very little or actually losing money per device. We also know that this phone as a whole is losing them money. The invite system might be their way of limiting that loss while keeping the hype high so they can release their next device as an actual money maker that is open for all to purchase.
I could be totally off base but I also wouldn't be surprised if this is the case.

Hmm OK. I'm really debating whether to just leave it and hold out until 2016 when my contract stops and check what phones are around then and just get a 128gb sandisk and stick with current phone just being able to use it for a lot more stuff.

I hear tomorrow is the day they are being sold to the public....

Yeah it's really hard to say what they plan on doing.
I was hoping for shareable invites since that's how I got my Opo but who knows.
One rumor is that early supporter invites are fine and now it's only via shareable invites that you can get One. Until it goes to presale.

Mate what because I asked when will it be coming out for actual sales are you serious I only asked because I like the phone. You may have managed to get an early invite or someone gave you an invite doesn't mean 1000s of people out there would love the phone but haven't had as much luck

No headphones, the boxing is nice but smell slightly toxic, I think it's the material of the usb cable. It's just that I don't smell it anymore with newer phones these day.

sold out everywhere?

Why is the tablet sold out every where all of a sudden? I am going crazy waiting for my HTC 10 so I decide today after looking for probably 3 months that I am going to pull the trigger and buy the shield tablet to have while waiting for my phone, and look now they all sold out? Is this just my bad luck? While searching for one to buy I am also seeing a lot of comments about the recall.... does this have something to do with it? As a side note if anyone knows where I can order one right away for same price as Nvidia let me know. Nvidia said they would be having them again in a couple days so i am not really willing to pay too much more.

is it really needed to create another thread? You asked the same thing some days ago already. It would - apart from that - be really handy to know where you are living, as the availability may differ between countries.

No I didnt ask the same thing... I only decided to buy the thing today so that is not possible... previously I had asked for input on the pricing and if anyone knew of any deals. This is a question that stemmed from my decision to actually go ahead and purchase the device and finding out that they were sold out everywhere. My question being if there was a reason for this and the possibility of it being because of recalled units.
