[ROM][KERNEL][DMORE JB 4.1.1] HUAWEY Ascend G510 aka U8951 vs Y300

This is my new job : Make a ROM and Kernel for our Huawei Ascend 510-100 aka U8951 device.
It would be work with Y300 devices also.
Of course Huawei G510 is not a good device , very heavy, GPU and monitor performances ( my old samsung Galaxy S is better) However it cost only 90 eur and it has a good CPU processor.
I have just take this device from my job company and also i broken it (the glass). So now i'm waiting for the return from repair;
In any case i want to share my beginning work with you

thank you, i use your work and my frined is so happy with his phone now. I must ask you something - if i give you an working backup from a S4 mtk6572 phone, you can make a good/slim kernel and rom for flash it ? the phone has nand small memory, i think less then 400 mb and i can't use it or sale it because not working good. Thank you again and sorry for late reply.

Ciao saw you are italian. It's true that is a dirty job for a **** china phone ... better than upload again the backup give me some points/link for kernel/rom and ram - tools for ubuntu that i can learn to make myself a good rom for that phone sorry for mistakes but have no time this morning.

It can happen that you get a black screen sometime while booting to CWM, if it happens wait a few seconds, then just push twice the power button to get it to reboot into the rom
then shutdown the phone and try again to boot into the recovery.

Indeed, now that is puzzling, seems that the tar.md5 file is corrupted while it flashed fine as .tar on my phone.
I've regenerated a new one: http://downloads.timduru.org/android/kzoom/katkernel/Tim_KZoom_KatKernel-3.4.95_004b.zip
Try version 004b
I've tested it after a download from the server just to make sure and it flashed fine.

a bit difficult to summarize.

When you say the K Zoom doesn't seem to be popular, do you mean based on reviews or just inactivity here? I think because there is no dedicated forum to this phone it's difficult to gauge how people are finding the device. I for one love it and from reviews I have read they seem positive. I really can't fault it for the price.

about the kernel it has the radio drivers and so on ..right?
because my c115 is on another region Middle East (United arab Emartes) so the root kernel is for europe ?
am asking because in previous galaxy phones rooting with a kernel for another region made my device heat up and drain the battery more untill i flash the stock firmware again with the compatible kernel/region drivers
am i right ??

sir is both camera is wrkng well in this rom and gaps is wrking well? i m using resurrection v5.6.9 rom of gt-s7582

This ROM is working great. Only problem for me is that I can't download files thru stock browser.

Xposed runs on my cm13 powered s7580 no prob. Just use the search function and you shall find both flashable zip and apk.

This kernel is based off @lordodin912 Asgard kernel which has now been discontinued. so i have decided to rework the kernel and release it to you loyal fans of his work. You might notice some parts are copy and pasted from his tread due to the fact the kernels are more or less the same expect I've added a few thing to the kernel.

*Added IO - bfq, fifo, fiops, sio, sioplus, tripndroid, vr & zen.
*Added TCP - A lot.
*Sound Control (Only Headphones)

*Removed verifiedbootstate flag
*Replaced Interactive Gov with one from the OP3 (Removed Triton and Cancun)

*Updated Kernel to be inline with https://kernel.org Linux 3.18.87
*A lot of other changes throughout the kernel

You should be able to dirty flash but if any errors happen re-flash the system then flash the kernel.

So, I dirty flashed it ...
The phone booted for 2 minutes .. then rebooted twice!
The fingerprint didn't work !
I will try a clean flash tomorrow and report back any different findings !!!

Again same phone as me which makes it even more odder. Try a factory reset and reinstall the rom whenever you have time and report back please.

Reporting H850, stock v20i + Magisk 14. Dirty-flashed this kernel in TWRP, got bootloop.

Magisk 14 bootlooped for me also so I flashed magisk 13.3 and it works a treat I'm looking into the magisk 14.0 to see what's changed.

To avoid boot loop after flashing Asgard reborn just restart to recovery and flash magisk 14.0. Bootloop is happening becouase you've flashed new kernel while TWRP is still reading from the old one,and becouase of that,flashing magisk right away flashes it over the old kernel. So yeah basically restart after flashing to recovery again and flash magisk then. Problem solved. Fulmics 4.0, Asgard reborn with magisk 14.0 and no issues at all. Great work mate :good:

Flashed this kernel following the instructions provided but after it boots into OS, touchscreen is not working...
I am doing something wrong?

Do I also need the Magisk module fix on latest v1.2? Can I just flash kernel only without it?

Yeah required. Install modules in magisk manager

Just great for the ARM64. But I think you forgot to add the 2.1 link, there is only source code zips lmao.

Under v2.0 because it is alphabetical order

Still no 2.1 version kernel under github. I flashed 2.0 and there is no overclock or even new governor
On v1.3 arm version i still get a non functional touchscreen after flashing it..i have a j415fn if that counts...so can you help me with this problem?
