Review :Perfect Protection but bulky Holster Case for Samsung S6 WITH Pics - Galaxy S6 Accessories

i have used Otterbox cases for years for my iPhones and my iPad 2 and 3 tablets. They are about the best protection you can get for an iPhone if you can take the added size and weight that the case adds to the phone. I frankly have been afraid that I was going to drop my phone and beak it .
But Today we are going to have a review of Alternative Choice of OTTERBOX CASE FOR SAMSUNG S6 .Before Otterbox Defender case coming out , This case is quite okay to protect your phone .

I have to say , this case is kind of a copy of Otterbox defender case , almost the same protection , same design ,but extra invisible stand kickstand on the case .
When got it ,you will find the belt clip on holster that also acts as a phone stand that allows you to set the phone up to watch videos. The phone can snap into the holster face in for added protection or face out for your ability to use the phone or to watch videos. One side of the holster has two curved corners that protect the edges of the case from falling and the top has a snap on latch that locks the case into position in the holster. The back of the holster has a rotating clip that allows the holster to spin 360 degrees and you can wear the holster at any angle that is comfortable but I recommend that the extended corners stay down for added security if possible. The clip can also be locked open to be used as a stand and twisting the clip allows you to set the angle at which your phone will stand up.
The case is a clam shell polycarbonate shell that fits into the silicone outer case. The inner case protects your phone from shock, vibration and scratches and the inner clamshell locks around your phone to protect it. The outer case is a silicone that adds protection against drops and bumps. After several months use , the silicone case might get a loosen .I really hope they can use tpu to make the outfit case.
The ports are covered with flaps that are tight and designed to lock into place. They are designed to minimize the ingress of moisture or dust into the critical switches and ports. The phone front screen has a cover that covers all of it except the home button because of the fingerprint sensor. The edge of the case is high around the front of the phone and you can get the fingerprint sensor to work but because of the new higher angle of your finger's approach you may want to rememorize your finger prints. All of the controls are accessible and the dual cameras and flash are uncovered to allow you to still take good photos and videos. In the video I assemble the case and show the details of its strengths and weaknesses.
It is a bulky style , You should expect your phone gains some weight and thickness,.
the case is durable , so be the clip . During the review , my little girl just slam this case several times against the wall as usual , seems like she is a very angry Titan try to destroy everything .
protection is paramount, and all other considerations—even inconveniences—are set aside.
The Pros
There are many pros.
In addition to the outer foam, there is an inner thin layer that further cushions the back of the Phone
To me , the out side silicone is just like an armor , i feel like my phone just like a sodier in a batter .
The belt-clip holster can be used as a mini-stand for, say, hands free video watching. It's not clear at first how to do that. The trick involves pushing top of the belt clip as far as it will go; it snaps into a piece of plastic that holds it in place. Press the tab on top to release.
There is a 360 degree rotating rings , can support different angle viewing mode .
Holster is durable , and you can put your phone totally easy into it , and it will stay firmly , also you can take it out quite easy
Even more critical is the "U" shaped design on the end of the clip that ensures the U cannot slide off your belt when sitting down. Plus, the belt clip rotates on the holster and has robust detents every 30 degrees.
Fully Access to all the ports , you can use all the function without take it out the case .
15 Dollars , is quite good price for me and my family .You will never know how much you need to pay after the marriage and Children,
The Cons
There is no built-it screen protector ,But I am sure we can buy a 6 pack screen protector or 2 pack privacy screen protectors at 4 dollars at ebay
It looks too much like otter box , in which means it might just like a copy cat ,even it has different appearance , and it improved the design by add a rotating ring to the case
The combination of the flap that covers the Lightning port and the recess thanks to the inner shell makes it hard to grab the Lightning port by the plug. One is tempted to just yank it out by the cord.
It is not easy to take the phone out of the case , that might takes you serveal times until you get pissed off
As with many case like this, it takes a healthy push to press the Sleep and volume buttons.
This Case Looks Very Bulky , i have to say this is all parents want
The bottom silicone cover might get loose in the future , which i am worried about in 1 years maybe
f you are looking for the ultimate in protection and you do not want to pay like 60 dollars to it , this is good choice for you .
Anyway , i will choose otterbox and pay them 69 dolllars when they have Defender comes out .But before that , it is a good choice.
Durable , easy to carry , bulky but rugged , lower price with full otter box function , i recommend it for everyone ,who wants to have full package protection

i was told that this case is on promoting that if you can write a honest review and do not mind to share it at amazon.com
you will get 80 percents off for it with the code ashield6 at checkout ,ends soon

[REVIEW] Otterbox Defender

Well i've had the case for 2 weeks now so I feel I can give you guys an honest review of the case.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSCkAmij7P0
Construction.
The case is two parts, as i'm sure you've already read, however I want to draw your attention to both parts with regards to manufacturing, and design.
The internal hard case is a two part snap fit,
it features a lens protector which is substantial, and seems fit for purpose, there isn't any distortion i can see, and the plastic seems solid. The screen protector built into this case seems of high quality, but does cause colour refraction of the screen (the effects of a oily screen) this isn't terrible and I suffered the same using a Invisishield screen protector, but it's worth noting. I don't like the fact that the buttons on the front of the phone are cut out, the amount of lint and hair i get through the holes is unbearable to myself, and this leads to the next problem.
There are 6 snap fit clips around the body which on first fit are ridiciously tight. this is good and bad. If you never take the case off then it is sure to survive any impact, however if your like me and the dirt annoys you under the screen protector you'll be taking it off all the time. Now once you break that virgin seal the clips never hold as tight, this isn't to say it no longer grips, just it's not tight so now the two part plastic creaks and squeeks if squeezed together, the movement isn't huge but again I like things to be solid, and this case isn't.
Now the Silicon case goes on the outside, unlike the Case Mate - Tough.
I see this as a better idea than the hardcase on the outside, however Otterbox have slipped up a little in my opinion. There is a raised lip on the outside edge which the silicon case slips over to secure it. they've made one on the top, two long ones each side, and to hooks on the bottom. But not on the corners, this is where it's needed most because of the lack of lip you'll find that when you catch the rubber on your clothes hand, an object it will pull away from the plastic part. I'm constantly having to push the rubber back into the lip and massage the corners so they meet the body better.
Impact protection.
Purely by chance the other week my desire went down an iron staircase on a building site. Not good but a perfect test for the case.
Well tbh my phone picked up a bit of speed and dented a plasterboard wall on stopping. I was pretty sure I was in for a new phone, but to my honest surprise the case did it's job. The phone is in perfect nick, the case itself is ok too.
Conclusion.
Well the case is big and bulky, it makes the phone slightly larger than a iPhone 3GS with case attached, which by todays standards is a brick, it's not asthetically pleasing to those with an eye for detail because of the squeeks, the loose outer rubber cover, and the screen proctector creating colour reflex, and obvious holes (the mk2 doesn't have the holes i'm told) it's not really a looker. But thats not what this case is about, if you need a case to protect your phone on busy building sites, or even if you a cluts dropping it all the time then this is the case of choice. I think if Otterbox revisit this case, perhaps add the lip all the way round to hook the rubber over, use a clearer screen protector, perhaps using a snap fit lip upposed to 6 clips then this would appeal to the people looking for a stylish protection solution. I believe this case is the best solution for protection, but looses alot of ground based on looks.

Your welcome mate
Thanks for the review, after viewing it i think maybe i just gonna buy the commuter..not defender, i love the "sexy" looks on my desire..
Great review mate..
thanks man,
new review up
nice reviews man you happen to be able to make a comparison between the otterbox commuter and the case-mate tough case?
I would but unfortunately I don't own that case, if I fall out with my tough case, i may buy one and review it thoug
i owned a commuter case till yesterday. returned it today and bought a case-mate tough case based on your review
hope you like it
Nice review! Thanks man!
Thanks for the review, detailed feedback is v. helpful.
I have had the defender since day one when released. I removed the protective screen it came with and use a zagg protective screen instead. Like the original poster stated the rubber does come off all the time on the edges and I find myself consistently pushing it back into place. Not a big deal. Also I have noticed my rubber piece for. The earphone Jack is starting to rip off. Good case overall in my opinion.
I like it very much.
Thanks for this great review!!!!!!!!
other problem
not sure if its just my otterbox, and not sure if it was already mentioned in the review.
in the upper left corner of the case is a hole that shows a very small portion of the screen. this is for the sensor inside that knows when the phone is up to your face when on a call. when you put the phone down, the screen comes back on. however, like mentioned in the review, with all the holes in this case, dirt and dust collect very easily, and block that sensor from seeing your face, therefore, when you take the phone away from your face, the phone's screen remains locked out. button pressing wont bring it back on. you actually have to wait for some hole to shine through to that sensor, or take the otter box apart so the screen will come back on. very, very annoying.

I ordered from this seller: ebayitem.com/160944505505
UPDATE (03/21/2013)
I've used this case for about 3 months now. I haven't dropped the phone in the case from any significant height, but the minor drops haven't had any effect on either the phone or the case.
Pros:
Full-body, two-piece hard plastic shell
Snug-fitting, easy-to-grip outer soft (silicone?) shell
An approximately 5mm gap between screen and top of the case lip
Kickstand works well in landscape, acceptably in portrait
Volume and power buttons do not require extra effort or dexterity to press
Cons:
(added in update) The upper piece of the two-piece hard shell make it very difficult to perform edge swipes (i.e. the kind of "from off screen" swipes used to switch tabs in Chrome).
Soft shell has very strong chemical odor (vinyl?) that diminishes with a few washes in the sink and some time in the sun
Case design prevents swiping to/from long edges (useful for switching tabs in Chrome mobile in portrait mode)
Other thoughts:
Have not dropped phone, so I can't vouch for the protection the case affords (I'll update when this changes)
Feel free to ask me for other details...
Good job. I purchased the same one about a week ago but USPS broke it so the eBay store I purchased it from is sending out a new one. Does look good though, I don't really play that many games, or really swipe from the edges so not a deal breaker for me.
I've currently using the TPU S-Line case, which is doing it's job, being extra careful with it usually and haven't had any drops so far which is good.
I wanted to use the kickstand in landscape mode, mostly as a desk clock at work and when night.
May we never have to test how well it does it drop test
hey. thanks for the great pics man. i just wanted to know two things about this case:
1- does the plastic inside part of the case cause scratching to the chrome bezel or glass?
2- i currently have a full body protector installed. any ideas if this will cause bubbling or peeling? (if your using a screen guard with this case plz reply)
thanks man. cheers!
I ordered one of these as well. I'm going to assume it will not work with Qi chargers because of its thickness, but maybe it will.
Mine arrived today.
I received mine today. It's a lot more bulky then I anticipated, I'll give it a trial for a week to see how well I can get used to it.
I can agree with all your pros & cons, I'll add 1 more con, and that is it is a huge dirt/dust magnet.
A few more photos of the case - I won't embed them since they're pretty big.

Thanks for the pics. This case was my first choice because it looked like a beast. I bought a different case that came with a holster in combo--to have a cover for the screen--but after seeing your pics and having received the case I ordered, I realize your case is a whole lot more protective. (The plastic lip around the screen protects the front edge really well; my case has a weak lip.)
My question is this: how do you guys--OP?--with this case plan to protect the screen? Will you use a screen protector or a pouch? I hate screen protectors and prefer real material as a shield. Can I find a pouch big enough to slide this beast in and out of?

Good question! That hadn't occurred to me.
I've had the phone in the case for at least a week total, and I observe no scratches on the chrome bezel or glass with the case removed.

Couldn't say. What I can say is that I'm usng the protector in which the phone was packaged o) and I have no bubbling or peeling caused by the case.

My plan was to protect five of six sides and hope for the best :silly:
I think the screen needs to be protected in two ways:
1. from daily wear (e.g. stray keys in pocket)
2. from rare, exceptional force
This case, given its bulk and lip, may do #2 well (I can only guess this, however). As for #1, I find a screen protector to provide a good balance of convenience and protection (as opposed to a pouch), though the protector itself may need to be replaced at some point.

[Review][+Pics]Seidio Surface Case (w/ Holster)

If anyone can't see these photos, let me know as they are hosted on another forum.
Seidio SURFACE with Metal Kickstand
Pictures are worth a thousand words but there are also times when pictures just can't explain what you are trying to say... so, here's to both!

The Surface case for the Nexus 4 is another prime example of why many people, including myself, love Seidio's cases and holsters.
The Surface Case: Seidio uses a plastic that features a "soft touch" for the case. It's relatively heavy duty case and provides much needed protection for anyone who uses their phone and are unable to "baby it" 24/7. The case slips together seamlessly to provide that added protection. The inside/back portion of the case is felt lined as well to prevent damage or broken glass.
The case is available in Black, White, Garnet Red, Amethyst and Royal Blue.
The cutouts for the ports, buttons, sensors, microphones, etc are all cut perfectly and the case does not interfere with their operation. You cannot access the SIM card tray with the case in place (to my knowledge this is pretty much the same with every case on the market). The camera and flash all function properly and are not impeded. Also, it provides much appreciated lip to the front of the phone that keeps the screen safe when placing the phone face down on a table/desk.
The case allows the phone to feel much more comfortable (both physically and mentally) when using using a shoulder to hold the phone. The best part is that I don't feel like I have to baby the phone or worry about bumping into a table while the phone is in my pocket.
The kickstand... well, I honestly feel like kickstands are a bit gimmicky. That being said I appreciate that this one is metal (not a cheap plastic). It's also spring loaded and held in place by a small magnet. It only works in landscape and does not work in portrait. Ironically, I find myself using the kickstand more times than not!
The case functions fine with SGP screen protector but does not appear like it would play nicely with screen protectors that wrap around the side of the screen. Seidio also sells screen protectors that I'm sure would work fine with their case. I've put the case on/off 25+ times since receiving it and it is holding up fine and has not scratched the chrome trim on my N4
It's worth noting that I do NOT have access to a wireless charger and cannot confirm nor deny if wireless charging functions with this case.
The Holster: I chose to get the option with the holster. The holster is, by far, one of my favorite items from Seidio. When the Surface Case is on the phone, it can be used in combination with the holster to store the phone quickly and easily and SECURELY on your belt. The phone and case snap face-in to the holster to help keep the screen clear from danger. The actual belt clip is heavy duty and swivels and "snaps" into 7 different possible positions so you can keep the holster vertical or horizontal (at either direction). There is also a felt lining on the inside of the holster to help keep your screen scratch free (though while being carried in the holster, the screen doesn't touch anything).
The charging port, volume keys, headphone jack, power key... pretty much everything but the screen... is accessible while the phone is in the holster.
More photos can be found HERE!
Want one? Go get it HERE for $34.95. Want a holster too? Get it HERE for $54.95.
Feel free to let me know if more photos are wanted/needed or if there are any questions. I'll also be working on getting a review up for their Active Case soon for anyone who may be interested.
do you have a QI wireless charger to try if it charges the phone with this case on?
saw a user feedback on Amazon that it interfere the wireless charging.
I like the design of the case, but no wireless charging is a deal breaker.
EDIT: oppss... just saw your comment again, and you did mention you have no wireless charger.
Thanks so much for this review. What a smexy case! I've been thinking of going with a holster type case, but I think I'll hold off till my next phone buy.
RE: the wireless thing, I am not sure if they just now literally added this to their product page, but when I checked just now it says in bold letters:
The SURFACE™ with Metal Kickstand is not compatible with wireless charging.

People now carry their Phone every where and anytime ,at work , at school , go hunting , cook ,chat and drink ,even fighting and sleeping , sometime the environment is tough and rugged ,like construction , airline , battle field , wonderful bar-fight pub and Iraq Battle and so on ( I am sorry , i can not accurately describe all the aspects) . Especially , you have serval naughty Kids like me , they have already broke 5 phones , 2 laptops , and 3 iPad , and 1 kindle . In these case , we might prefer to have an ultimate protection in our phones : SURVIVE IN CAR CRASH , LET YOUR KIDS PLAY IT AS DODGE BALL , ALL PORTS COVERED , MULTI0LAYERS , CUSHIONED SHELL , SHOCKPROOF ,DROP PROOF .
As you might know , there is several choice like otter box and survivor those cost u at least 59.99 dollars . Also there is plenty reviews exists all the world , so today , i personally review a case include all the features , but cost you might just 15 dollars , and works 90 % as the famous brand ,
Ashield ARMY-GRADE HOLST CASE FOR Samsung Galaxy S5 ,IT HAS A LITTLE REPUTATION OR LET’S SAY SARCASM FOR ITS OTTERBOX level and style ultimate protection .
The multi-layer protection consists of two pieces of polycarbonate that clip together. One piece has a piece of clear plastic that protects the display. Then a soft outer layer of memory foam (silicone) further assists with drop protection. This arrangement also ensures that dirt and sand cannot ever get to the Phone
It is a bulky style , the case is durable , so be the clip . During the review , my little son just slam my iPhone 6 plus with this case several times , seems like he is very angry that he can not break it so he can destroy next phone i or his mom get .Actually , my Phone is not even in danger before he figures out to throughout it into our pool .
This is the kind of case you use when protection is paramount, and all other considerations—even inconveniences—are set aside.
The Pros
There are many pros.
In addition to the outer foam, there is an inner thin layer that further cushions the back of the Phone.
To me , the out side silicone is just like an armor , i feel like my phone just like a sodier in a battle .
The belt-clip holster can be used as a mini-stand for, say, hands free video watching. It’s not clear at first how to do that.
Even more critical is the “U” shaped design on the end of the clip that ensures the Note 4 cannot slide off your belt when sitting down. Plus, the belt clip rotates on the holster and has robust detents every 30 degrees.
Fully Access to all the ports , you can use all the function without take it out the case .
$15 and below , is quite good price for me and my family
The Cons
There is no built-it screen protector ,but yes it comes with a screen protect with order
This Case Looks Very Bulky
The bottom silicone cover might get loose in the future , which i am worried about in 2 years maybe
f you are looking for the ultimate in protection for your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and you do not want to pay like 60 dollars to it , this is good choice for you .
Durable , easy to carry , bulky but rugged , lower price with full otter box function , i recommend it for everyone with a Samsung S5

roocase - Origami 3D Review

roocase Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Case - Origami 3D Review
The Origami 3D Case in Granite Black / Cool Gray
* Designed specifically for Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (Not Compatible with Tab Pro 8.4)
* Origami cover folds into landscape, portrait and a typing display
* Smooth polyurethane cover with soft non-scrach interior
* Matte rubberize polycarbonate 3D shell. 4 corner tablet protection.
* Magnetic front cover
First Impressions & Packaging
The case was packaged nicely with a retail package that indicated it contained a quality product inside. It is obvious from the packaging alone that roocase takes pride in its products. I'm not a packaging expert, nor a advertising expert so I will not give this a star rating. However, I was VERY pleased with how it looked before opening the package. Sometimes, most times I feel compelled to throw away product packaging, but this is not one of those times. I'm keeping the packaging as long as I keep the case. Besides, I found a use for it, as it is storing my Samsung Simple case now, LOL.
Second Impressions & Case Design
(4.5 out of 5)
Holding the case for the first time was a WOW moment for me. It is clearly the nicest case I have ever owned for a tablet. I love the design and the flexible top cover which slightly over hangs the edges when closed. The cover can be put into so many different positions that I actually lost track, lol and not only that it has a stand mode that is just absolutely perfect for fetal position bed reading (which I do a LOT in the middle of the night), without needing something propping it up. Sadly, the Samsung Slim case could NOT do this at all and I found that to be the #1 reason to not use the Samsung case. I couldnt imagine a better design than origami case and trust me I spent nearly two months trying to mentally improve upon it. I give the design a 4.5 out of 5 stars mainly because I know they will find a way to make it even better, but how I do not know.
Usage
(4 out of 5)
I've been using this case for nearly 2 Months now and it has not disappointed. Folding and grasping the top cover in a handle like motion is just perfect while walking around with it (pic below), its like having a built-in easy to grip rubber handle, because well that is what it is. The usage and safe handling like this is near perfect for me. 4 out of 5 stars because I actually like having a cover strap to put my hand inside which is what my Nexus 7 case does. But I think a cover strap would be unwelcome by most users seeking a thin case.
Durability
(5 out of 5)
I really do not believe in giving a product a perfect score because with time EVERYTHING can be improved upon, which would suggest your perfect score was really not perfect after all. However, I have dropped my tablet once already onto a hard wooden floor by accident and was fully expecting a destroyed screen. And when I opened the top cover to see no damage what so ever I was surprised as it hit the floor pretty hard. So as for solidness I think this case is excellent and will give it a 5 out of 5 just because it survived a very hard fall from about 4 feet or more. However being as thin as it is I would NOT try dropping it intentionally. I probably just got lucky, YAY!
Fit
(4 out of 5)
The Tablet fits into the case near perfectly, however on the bottom right corner I find the tablet popping out of the case easily, almost too easy. If I try to remove the tablet from the case from any other corner I find it very tight and the case does not want to let go, however If I try to first pop it out from the bottom right it just comes out with NO effort, almost too easily in fact. Not sure if this is by design or a slight fit flaw but it seems like the bottom right corner just does not have the "snap" feel to it like the other corners do. Also, one note to mention, you must remove the case if you need to change out microSD cards. Overall I give the fit a 4 out of 5 stars.
Finish
(4 out of 5)
The finish of this case could not be any better as I just love the feel to my hands (and to the eyes when cleaned), although I do find the back cover capturing every finger print like a law enforcement finger print scanner machine, haha. I have had to wash this case under warm water once already just because it felt like it was sapping oils out of my hands, lol. Also the inside of the top cover, which is a light grey colored rubber material on mine, likes to darken from holding it which is surprising because I am a hand washing addict, maybe to the point of being a germaphobe. Yes I wash my hands probably 15-20 times a day but that hasn't stopped the cover from getting darkened quite a bit in the fold areas where skin contacts it the most. Either this is dirt (I doubt it though) or a better explanation would be hand oils that is trapped inside the rubber material because washing it did not restore the darkened areas to light grey. Also, one little note I almost forgot to mention, because the top inside cover is a rubber material with a honey comb texture, this texture leaves a slightly annoying design on the screen which has me wanting to wipe the screen down far too often, after every openeing in fact. Maybe the top inside cover would be better if it was made from a microfiber material? Over all I give this case a 4 out of 5 for its beautiful finish when cleaned.
My thoughts after 2 Months of use
Well I must say that I think the ONLY thing that can be improved would be weight, and maybe material used for the inside of cover. For a Slim case I think it weighs a tad bit much. However for everyday use around the house or the office this is THE case to get. I love the black and grey color combination and the texture of this case is fantastic, however I'm not much of a fan of the honey comb marks it puts on the screen, but this can be ignored. Over all it is well worth the asking price and built like a tank without the weight of a tank. If only they made it almost exactly like this but with microfiber material for the inside of the top cover, that would have been my preference, not to mention dropping about 100 grams of weight off of it at least.
Overall I give this case a score of 4.5 out of 5 stars, as its just really that good!
Images below provided by roocase. Last one taken by me showing how I like to hold it, with its built-in handle. This is where the rubber material really comes in handy as its VERY solid and feels like its impossible to drop in this manner.
