Hello To All on This Great Forum,
I recently puchased a brand new ZTE Blade S6, previously i owned a Samsung Galaxy s3, I live in the UK and my Carrier is Virgin Mobiles Network.
Anyway, I am finding that i am having a couple of problems with my new ZTE blade S6 and these problems are as follows -
1. No Laways but enough to be annoying and stop me from using mobile is when i receive a phone screen stays black and although i can hear ringtone that someone is trying to contact me i have no way of answwering mob what the hell ? This mobile has Lollipop 5.0 Android running on it. Also when making a call to someone if they are unable to answer and then it goes to there answer machine I am unable to end call without turning mobile off or rebooting ?
2.Also, with my older Samsung Galaxy s3 when i use for example Eurosport app I had it set to notifications it would sound with notification tone and i would get notifications of all sports news i wanted with my new ZTE blade s6 this does not happen. this is also the case when using Gmail and Outlook.com, please help whats happening ?

I have been looking around on google and I am guessing that problems with my mob are due to lollipop 5.0 causing notifications etc not to work properly. Can anyone confirm this or come up with a solution. What about rooting ???
Can ZTE Blade S6 Be rooted is there a guide on this forum ??

No root yet.
Just an update, to anybody who wants to know I have since managed to get outlook.com to work with notifications and notifications tone this is what i did just in case someone else is looking for a solution to same problem i had, this is what you have to do -
1. Force kill the app:
Tap and hold the home button of your android phone and swipe our app eithet left or right - then Tap and hold our app
App info Tap force Stop
Or
Device Settings - Applications - Select the Application - Force Stop
2. Clear the cache on your device.
Open our app - Settings - Top right corner - Select the email account - Clear Cache
3. Restart your phone .
4. Remove your account and remote data from our app then add it again
To remove your account, please follow these steps:
Tap top right overflow icon and select settings.
At the top under Account Settings select the email account
Scroll to the bottom and tap Remove Account from Device and Remote.
5. To add your account again, follow these steps:
Tap Settings + Add Account Input the required information login credentials to configure/setup your account again.
Or
Select the appropiate option in the list of services in our app.
Input the required information login credentials to configure/setup your account again.
Thats it works fine.
Just need to get eurosport app to work as it is still hit and miss and once ina while more importantly is mob still rings but am un able to open or receive calls what the hell ???
Please advise if anyone else has had this problem ???

Hearing problems
I don't know but using about 3 weeks I have notice that I have a problem with hearing...as for first 5 to 10 second i do not hear the caller and sometimes the Caller dose not hear me.
The second thin is that I am experiencing more missed calls. People having a hard time to get me.
Does anyone have any clue what to do?

i am new to the forum
i installed the VOX Lite v0.5 Rom last Saturday, i was suprised that it worked so easily and now my phone is so much more stable then before.
But i also have some problems now:
- my vibrations doesnt work anymore and i was used to have the vibrations always on, i hate people who doesnt use vibrations and now i am one of them
- i was using hotmail.com and it was intergrated in my older system. Now i cant intergrated that anymore? if i want to add a new email account in my phone and enter my [email protected] (for example) it opens the internetbrowser. I just want my phone to check my email every 1 hour.
So what do i ve to do to fix these problems.
is there another ROM what fixes the problems? or is there an option in the Lite Rom what fixes my problems?

I think you need to install Windows Live if you want to check hotmail.

Can some one help me out with this !! Thanks in advance !!!

After some extensive research on net, I found a solution which worked for me. It is a program called piBalance. You can get it from Google Play. Try it and let me know.

You must be rooted to use this properly. Alternately you can use the Ussd Blocker from Xposed Installer which is working perfectly for me for the past few days.

Try to set the notification sound to silent.
This problem is resolved with the new Lollipop build. A beta version is available in ROM's section. I am using Anirudh's Drake Version 1.
fair enough. but if you rooted, you may as well of just renamed the sound file. it's what i did for WhatsApp camera (the one next to the area where you type)
the USSD sound problem was not rectifiable with the renaming. The sound played during the USSD function was not identified till date.
I got mate 8 (Chinese version) about a week ago and it's an amazing device but it has a major issue with receiving notifications!!! Having an amazing phone with such major issue is like having a BMW with Toyota engine!!! Has anyone find any solution to this issue?

Hi there. I got the same problem (chinese version) Try to allow Auto start, keep wlan and mobile data on during sleep, allow app to run on backround and change the power plan to performance and let us know if it worked for you. Mine didnt work tho

Do you also have problem with the google maps? It cant determinate the location on wlan and netowrks. Only if i switch on the GPS.

Hi at all in the general page of Huawei Mate 8 in this forum speak that the problem isn't the Mate 8 but new version of Android, and change same option solve this problem, try to see it
Update from the new firmware B137 for AL-10. It seems the push notifications for FB messenger, whatsapp are working better now but gmail and viber doesnt. You still need to open the viber app to get the messeges or turn on the screen to get the emails... Tested after restarting phone and left it on sleep mode without opening any of the apps. Battery mode set on perfomance. If set on smart doesnt work. But the problem comes back if you free up the memory.
The other problem with google map still remains. It cant determinate your possition on network and wlans (battery saving mode) only if you switch to gps (high accuaracy)
B137 Update
I just updated to the B137 update, and I was able to get notifications from viber, twitter but not from whatsapp or snapchat so therefore I decided to update whatsapp via the hi app as it had an update. I updated it and after was then not able to receive any notifications from viber or twitter either. I deleted the whatsapp and re installed it again from the one in play store and was able to get twitter and viber notifications back again which was strange but i am still unable to get notifications from whatsapp and snapchat. ive checked permissions and notification settings between the four apps and they are all the same.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

And now i get no notifications from any app until i open up the app; such a good phone but such a same it has such a huge bug :/
The L29 does not have notification issues.
Sucks that only the AL10 has this issue :/

Hi all,
I wanted to let you guys know that the Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic both work on Android 7.0 Nougat
I'm using a Oneplus One running 7.0.
The point I tried to connect the watch my phone denied it and told be connection couldn't be made.
After turning the Bluetooth on and off again I was able to connect my Gear S2 with my phone (Probably a ROM bug)
[Improvements]
Everything seems to work fine and I even saw improvements.
Since Android Nougat I am able to see pictures of whatsapp messages, I wasn't able to do that on Marshmallow.
[Bugs]
There is 1 bug, I'm not sure if it's my ROM or the compatibility.
When I browse through my quick launch apps I see the messaging app, the app to send and receive Sms with.
I never saw this app on Marshmallow and it worked!
The app isn't available in the application list, only in the quick launch widget.
Too bad, after adding the app the widget will reset itself or the messaging app disappear from the quick launch widget after a certain time.
You can re-add it and use it, it's just an annoying bug.

Yes, The S2 as well as the apps you need (S health included) works fine, no problems at all so far.
And if I will find one, I will post it here.
Hi, is your device encrypted? I'm planning on buying the s2..but grew hesitant after reading that encrypted phones are having synchronization issues.

How about phone calls? I have this weird bug that whenever i get a phone call, the names would show up on the gear....but on the phone, only numbers... like i dont have the person thats calling in my contacts.
And my phone wont display names until I delete samsung apps that connects to my phone.

i know the watch has no speaker.but i thought it woudl allow me to answer like android wear..and then i speak on my phone
i tried googling..some said it worked before an update..does anyone know which version of the gear app allowed this?
or is there a way to fix it
i've checked and all permissions are given to the app

silly of samsung to disable this feature.
I still have an option to answer a call on my s2 classic. I hope it wouldn't just disappear like the messaging on the 4 app shortcut widget.
I recently went between an s7 edge and a pixel with my gear s2. I noticed I was no longer able to take calls on the watch when I went over to my pixel, but it was not a problem when using my s7 edge.
I figured it out. I don't know why, but I can say for certain that when a gear watch connects to a samsung phone, it defaults to the connection being a media and phone device (rather than the low-powered mode that, say, android wear watches do). Automatically. Always. On my pixel, the connection as a media and phone device must be initiated manually.
On my pixel I went to bluetooth devices and connected to my gear s2, which connected as a media and phone device. After that, the watch will answer phone calls on the watch directly. This all makes sense. The only difference is that on my pixel (anything other than my samsung phone actually), it does not default to connecting to the watch as a media/phone device (only low-powered peripheral).

I know this is old, but I wanted to offer a solution to the same problem I faced with a ZTE Blade Max. Goto bluetooth settings and click S2 in paired items then settings or options, then tick the option for phone audio. Problem solved!

you have to change your build.prop to show a samsung device. cent remember where it is in the build.prop, but im fairly certain that this is the issue. This popped up pretty frequently back when the watches first came out and i had to do this myself as i was running an AOSP ROM on my old S5 when i got my first smartwatch (Gear 2 Neo) until i flashed android wear on it and no longer had the option to answer calls at all on my watch
