Mate 7 crashes and restarts while music is playing - Ascend Mate 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone experienced this issue? I noticed my phone restarting while music is playing. seems to be an issue when playing in the background while phone is locked. i noticed this first when skipping musing using the smart cover interface so what I did was to disable it and seems to be fine so far.

Did you check the app killer in the parameters? If your app is not marked as "protected" the system will shut it down automatically.

Xoom Music Player Crashes when running background?

After the 3.1 update, when I listen to music while the Music app is running in the background (using the widget or notification widget), the songs always crash in like 30 seconds.
Anyone getting this? Its pretty frustrating and annoying since it never did this before.
Should also write, that when I am listening to music with the player open, all songs work fine.
Anyone? No one is getting this problem?

Is it force closing or just stopping?
If it is just stopping, I would guess that honeycomb is removing it from ram due to being low on ram. It really shouldn't do that since it is an activite service, but that is my guess.

Hmmm yea it doesn't force close it just stopped and the icon disappears like the xoom closed it out. However that really sucks because it is running....you know it may be a bigger issue. When I watch playon and switch to a browser for a sec then switch back I have to reload it and log in again. Its annoying but I never had to do that pre 3.1. Anyone else having these issues? Did Google mess with background apps and the multitasking resource allocation? Still the music player is active sso I don't know what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Google play music - fast forward causes song to start over

As the title The app acts like the song went to that spot and stays where you put it but the song will be at the beginning. Doesnt happen every time, force closing it and reopening will fix just wondering if this happens to anyone else?

Media volume

Hey guys, first off my apology if this has been covered in the past.
Okay I just flashed CM11 and I'm an experienced android use and flasher with many devices. But today is the first time I experienced this. I flashed cm11 wiped everything cache data system etc. Then flashed gapps, superuser , booted up and set system up and then went back and flashed racer kernel 2.4 ... My phone is running perfect and the system is absolutely flying. But I found a problem my volume works for in calls and ringer volume up down etc. But when I play videos or music on Pandora or YouTube etc. The media volume is maxed! Even tho I have the slider volume all the way down to minimum! Anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to fix? I tried wiping everything again and re-flashing but to no avail same setup same routine and same volume trouble.
Thanks for any advice in advanced.

No no don't delete.
I'm on dirty unicorns and experienced the same thing. Not using YouTube but in all music programs.
Along side that I have vibrate off for all notifications but it still vibrates on hangouts message.
So I don't think it's the you tube app

Laggy typing

Has anyone experienced laggy typing? My phone lags badly with the Xperia keyboard and Google keyboard. Both the Haptic feedback and sound are delayed too.
It did it when I first got the device, stopped for 4 weeks, and now it's back. Very frustrating to say the least.

Okay, I've found the problem. It turned out to be the Google Search update from 12/5. It was the ONLY app that the keyboards did NOT lag in. I uninstalled the update and then reinstalled. All back to normal now.

It did have to do with the update. Just disable "ok google recognition from any screen" in tye google now app. Should fix it. Hopefully this bug will be brought to googles attention soon.

Maps and gps issue

I noticed this very weird behavior before. when im done using maps and turns off location setting the maps continues to use gps. Even when it's off. These caused big drain from maps. I'll post successive screenshots of the battery info. I also post pic showing location is off. Anyone experiencing this and found any solution?

If you didn't any install any 3rd party app that control GPS so force stop map and reboot
and check battery usage after few hours if problem remains try to repair firmware by PC companion
:good:
Yeah i did force stop but didn't reboot though. Do you think this has to do with the Google maps itself? I hope there's some nice alternative to this app
