When coming from any other ROM, including CM-11.0, you must do a factory reset / clean flash.
The first boot can take a very long time. Don't assume that it is a bad flash, boot loop, etc. until it has sat for at least 5 minutes.
Nightlies are auto-built and if there are no problems available at:
http://download.crpalmer.org/nightlies/mondrianwifi
There isn't an official gapps package and I am currently using the packages provided by dhacker29. I would recommend using that for now:
http://d-h.st/users/dhacker29/?fld_id=27426

Awesome, been running this for a little while on my personal device.
Glad to see a public release from you!
Edit - if you have trouble booting, try wiping your internal SD in recovery. Obviously backup anything on the internal SD to an external SD before doing this action as you will lose all data on the internal SD.
Note - a factory reset is not sufficient - /data/media needs to be wiped, aka the 'internal' SD.

Awesomeness!

This is a very early alpha build. I wanted to get a chance to get some feedback, hence I'm posting this for you to play with. I would strongly recommend making a backup and then doing a factory reset and wiping /system before installing this (and the new gapps). I am currently using the following gapps which may or may not even be the latest gapps from dhacker, but that's all I have tested with so I recommend using them until more official ones are available:
(link to come in a bit, might have just realized that the latest sync was really broken in the mainline code)
http://download.crpalmer.org/downloads/gapps/unofficial/gapps-lp-20141109-signed.zip
Any *device specific* feedback is appreciated. If something in the android software doesn't work, don't report it as cm-12 is still in very early stages. But something that looks like it is related to our device specifically would be appreciated (with the usual logs, etc.).
Known to be broken:
* Video recording
* gps
* DRM (google play movies, netflix, etc).
* selinux is in permissive mode (aka, not as secure) for now

I haven't tested in twrp, I only use cwmr even though that's probably going away...
And, you guys are too fast. The build I posted has a bad commit in it which jacks up the permissions across the system (e.g. camera permissions are "revoked" for the camera app). You're free to use it but it 's potentially pretty jacked up. I was going to get a new build up but my kids are home from daycare today and nap time wasn't long enough....

[Q] Order of Basebands?

Hello Hello everyone~
When I was working on my last build of MIUI, I unfortunately made some mistakes and got myself into a brick. I've recovered with some PIT files and ODIN tricks, but now I just have a question that I am not 100% sure of.
What is the order of our basebands?
From my understanding it's:
I535VRALHD -> I535VRALEC -> I535VRALG1 -> I535VRALF2 [ICS]
-> I535VRBLI5 (LEAK) -> I535VRBLJ1 (LEAK) -> I535VRBLK1 (LEAK) -> I535VRBLK3 (LEAK) [JB4.1.1]
-> I535VRBMB1 -> I535VRBMD3 [JB4.1.2]
Am I correct? Or did I mess up?
Help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Jon [John].

[Q] Fake Galaxy s4, help

Being a total noob when it comes to phones, of course i bought my self a fake samsung galaxy s4.
Biggest problem here first is that i have absolutely no idea which fake i bought.
I read a lot of topics on a lot of sites and came to the conclusion that on this site i prolly could get the best answers, since most other sites where kind enough to tell people they had the answers coming from this site.
Wanted to post pics, but wasn't allowed
So here are manually added specs:
BB Chip UNIVERSAL5410
GT-I9500
Processor ---
Number of cores 4
CPU ARCH ARMv7 Processor rev 10 (v7)
When i check IMEI behind battery my phone does not exist: 35579906457266
When i check it with *#06# i find a NOKIA on this IMEI: 355236030611553
Checks where done on IMEI.info.
So could someone please help me identifying what phone i have and whether it is totally useless or i still can make something out of it and how to do this if possible at all

You paid how much for it
Sent from my X10i using xda app-developers app
MT6575
I hope you did not pay a lot for it because the processor is an entry level chinese variant. Its a dual core device with max supported display resolution of qHD quality. Its clocked in 1ghz.
The only thing I dont know is ram, but I guess its 512MB or maybe 1GB.
Its meh. That thing should not be more worth than €150.
And OP, please dont post IMEI and other sensitive stuff, they may get "misused".

So basically she bought me a piece of crap worth nothing much?
Next to that, is it worth the time to try making something out of it by flashing a different ROM on it ??
Please remember i am a real newby when it comes to this
Flashing Roms... Forget it, you won't find any. And i had once a mt6575 device before, and I was pretty happy with it in terms of gaming. Only problem was it died too fast...

Well, for €95, its ok. The your phone has the specs of aprox galaxy ace 2, I bought that one last year for €230 new.
I dont know in which country you live, but that €95 would have been better spent on a used Galaxy S2. The s2 is being sold quite cheap, has lots of roms.

Argus Adjustace male Sling on the stock phone:
1. If you have an earlier version than 5.1, the upgrade to it accordingly through ODIN 3.10.7 or WiFi.
2. download Root-S6_UniKernel_v8-0002-ODIN.tar
3. Include in developer mode, click the USB Debugging and turn Enable OEM Unlock item
4. download TWRP Recovery 2.8.7.0 for SM-G920P (S6) or TWRP Recovery 2.8.7.0 for SM-G925P (S6 EDGE)
5. Download the patch of the Russian language itself and it throws the RUS.zip phone to Flash memory.
Tie the ODIN-OM S6_UniKernel_v8-0002-ODIN, then tie (the same Each) TWRP required for your phone, peregružaemsâ in recovery, select Install and specify the place where the copied patch. Stitching it and rejoice in the Russian language on the phone.
PS: for those who don't like KNOX, can immediately under recovery remove all connected with it.

Eng:
Sorry, it isn't possible now because developers stoped work on custom firmwares for Edge+ Sprint. For normally working patch needs deodexed firmware.

Vivo Y93 (Mediatek)

first, sorry for my bad english.
i am looking for a thread for vivo y93, but there is nothing and i have proposed it on ** New Device Forum Requests ***
second, I tried to get root for Vivo y93. but like in other threads, it is stuck on the unlock bootloader.
for reference I've tried several ways from How To Unlock Bootloader Of Vivo Phones ?
so please help all to make something for vivo y93.
third, many sites say that Vivo y93 (mediatek) uses MT6762. But I found it on log_recovery, Vivo y93 (mediatek) using MT6765?
and I found some interesting sentences at log_recovery.
as
-cryptfs_get_password_type, 166
-get_crypt_ftr_and_key, 518
-device is encrypted with the default password, attempting to decrypt
-decrypt_master_key, 1212
and others, I have attached. thank you, hopefully you can help

I have a vivo y93 1814, Mt6762 turns out firmware requisites for both Mt6762 & Mt6765 for the Same model are equivalent.
I couldn't unlock the boot loader. Tho I wanted to get root via magisk so the thing was, if i could flash without the boot loader getting unlocked, it would work. And we have the SP Flash tool at work for this. I have flashed different versions of stock ROM on the phone. So I thought I could just flash the patched boot.IMG and it would be voila, but damn it doesn't let me do it.
SPFT shows status insufficient Buffer Error 0xC0010007 .
Ofc the patched boot.IMG was a Lil larger than the original image. So magisk wont work too. This is bad. Idk I think I wanna throw this phone away.

Hi, have you solved these problems? I'm having the same problems as you.
I have Vivo Y91C and the internet says that it uses MT6762. I tried to use adb command getprop to find out about the chipset and there are several lines that made me confuse whether it really uses MT6762 or MT6765, here's for example:
[ro.board.platform]: [mt6765]
[ro.boot.hardware]: [mt6765]
[ro.hardware]: [mt6765]
[ro.hardware.chip]: [mt6762]
[ro.mediatek.platform]: [MT6765]
I also tried to get cpu info via adb command and it says:
Hardware : MT6762V/WR
Can somebody please explain to me what the lines above mean? I'm newbie in this field and still learning. It really got me confused about the chipset it uses.
I've tried to look it up on the internet and all i've got so far is that [ro.board.platform] = SoC. So does that mean Y91C uses MT6765? Not MT6762?
Thank you.

Its simple:
The phone mother board is MT6765
The phone's processor is MT6762
It's like: intel core 2 duo and intel Pentium d are different, but both fit the LGA775 motherboard.
Any ROM, Kernel etc. should be made with respect to MT6762.

Hello,
I'm trying to disable the apps that update the system software I have a update that's scheduled to auto install in 5 hours that i'm trying to stop. I don't know if something changed but when I try adb shell pm disable packagename of it I get this error in return
