Any bumper cases? - Note Edge Accessories

I don't like full body cases and typically stick with bumper cases for my phones. If anyone finds any bumper cases for the Edge, can you please share links here? Thanks.

Nope no bumpers. I would give it a month before we start seeing some, maybe two.
I dont really know how they are going to work for the edge part that well tho.
I had a bumper on my note 3 since i like how thin it was, but in the end i just took it off and ran without a case. Just a screen protector.
If i find one tho i will post the link.

Ballistic SG maxx case ?

I love buying and having multiple cases for my phones. Lately the ballistic sg maxx has piqued my interest. My question is does anyone know if the screen protector it comes with, is it built it or is it one of the peel and stick style protectors. As always thanks guys.
Edit:
Think I found my answer after doing a bit more of googling. How does the rigid protector work, seems a bit odd using plastic.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.

I know you said you found the answer but I think it's worth noting that there is a definite ]
Rainbow effect and it also slightly blurs the screen which in my opinion makes it not worth it, stick with the mid grade or aspira.

It looks okay-ish. I prefer my crystal clear screen protector and the sg maxx. The stock one doesn't affect usability whatsoever. Everything works great with it.

I have the Ballistic SG MAXX as well. I already had a Tech Armor glass screen protector on my s4. Wasn't going to take off my glass to put on a plastic one. I dont even know if I still have it. Might have thrown it away.
Could someone post a pic of their phone in the sg maxx without the rigid screen protector. Im curious if theres a gap between the tpu and where the protector should be.
Edit:
I was looking at some reviews and a few people posted the case doesnt fit very snug. Stating theres a bit of play with the phone being able to slide up and down in the case. Anyone experienced this with theirs?
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.
I can't post any pics, don't have a camera. My s4 fits pretty snug in the sg maxx. I don't have any play using my tech armor glass. The phone doesn't move at all. I have dropped the phone a few times since I got this case and it doesn't have a single scratch or scuff. It seems like it's holding up pretty well.

Yeah it looks like a pretty tough case. Currently im using the seidio convert and its a decent case. I also have a kraken ams and a OB commuter on its way to me. How do you like the tech armor glass too. I was looking into that and after reading reviews on amazon im on the fence about it. Lots were saying they dont quite honor the lifetime warranty stating they only give you 50 percent off when you need it replaced. Does it cover the entire face of the phone? My beef witb my current protector is it doesnt go near enough to the edge of my device as I prefer it to.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.
Hex, I like the tech armor a lot. I haven't tried any others. It seems to go far enough to the edge for my liking. Have tried it with a spigen and a few other cases as well with no issues. The cut outs seem appropriate. They cut it out along the top for the speaker and sensors. It is also cut out at the bottom for the home button. I would suggest using one of the included home button gel stickers or an aluminum home button.
I have heard about their warranty policy not being free to replace. However I've had mine since launch day with verizon. Its holding up very well. No scratches yet and I'm not gentle with my phone.
I went with the tech armor because at the time it was one of the lower priced glass protectors. The 2nd reason being it was the only one with prime 2 day shipping on amazon.

Otterbox Commuter Wallet
Can I have this case? Would go well with the Ultra Hybrid on my 5s.
My Ultra Hybrid just arrived from Amazon. I went for the clear version. Phone arrives Friday, but initial thoughts are good. Has a slight "tacky" feel ti it which should eliminate any slips from the hand. Will give more thoughts on Friday once i try the phone in it.

Thanks for the review! Great job.
I was going to get one of these as it's available on Prime on Amazon (I have Prime) but the cut out for the camera and flash is too big and offers little to no protection from what I can see. In the end I went for one of these:-
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Film-Better...UTF8&qid=1396965708&sr=8-8&keywords=galaxy+s5
But I usually end up with 2-3 cases so that is just the first.
Very tempted to buy one of these.
I have a question for you... I have the same case and I have noticed that when I place the device on any flat service the device will almost rock back and forth if I try using the device while it's laying on the flat service. I can only imagine that this is happening because the legs on the case are not flat. Can you please let me know if you have a similar issue with your case?
Thank you!

Go for it. Great fit. Not too much added bulk. Feels "grippy" in the hand. Only thing is, if you have short nails, its awkward if not impossible to open the charging cover with the case on.
Nice case
I just bought a Spigen for my S5. Looking forward to it.
After having the case for 2-3 days I just noticed I purchased the Gun Metal instead of the black I initially wanted.. FAIL

Stay away from RingKe Slim Cases

I purchased one and periodically I'd take off the case to showcase the phone's build quality because my friends were curious and today I noticed after owning and using the case for about 2 weeks that it leaves scratches all around the metal band. So now the entire front metal band on my phone is completely scratched up because of this case. So please stay away from this case and save your money for something better.
Well since you started. Ill continue.
The fusion one i got is warped at the bottom where charge port goes.
It fits well everywhere else except there. Im not gona damage my charge port because i have to force a charger in there due to the case firment issues.
Its very slippery and either i have oily fingers or the back of the case has an oil leak like my car.
The one i wanted to check out was the fusion max protect? Something like that.
But the tech21 looks like will get my monies once its available to other vendors

I've been doing some more research and apparently it's not the case but more of small particles of debris rubbing on the soft aluminum finish. So it's not really more of the cases fault and more it happening eventually from any case. either way still disappointing because my entire front looks beat. Oh well i'll learn to live with it.
people dont know how to take the case off so they mess up the phone and blame the case...pretty sure u are takin the case off wrong...if you buy a rinke...and rake it off like a tpu case...its gonna scratch!!!! ...its hard plastic ..raking it off will make it hold even tighter!

Educate the public on how to remove a case then...
I also purchased this case and in 2 days it has scuffed up the sides as well.
As others have said, how do you take off a RingKe case without messing up your phone?
I personally went with Seidio and glad I did. Almost brought a ringke but I'm glad I didn't. Wouldn't have known how to properly remove it. I recommend the OP leave the tittle the way it is. Even if it is the OP using it wrong, word needs to get out that these type of cases need a special touch on them or they ruin the look of your device.

Glad I got my body glove satin case, I often take it out to show friends and not one scratch on white note 4
this is true mine has scraches whenever i remove the case and i dont remove it ofter
TPU is fine, stay away from the polycarbonate cases
Yikes, I'm sorry your phone got scratched up. I have the same case in SF Black and I remove it to switch batteries every night. So far, not a single scratch from it, maybe I'm lucky. I know it's weird, , but maybe it's the way you remove it? I usually turn my phone upside down and use my nail to expand the corner outward, before moving to the top (now bottom) part of the case to do the same.
As others have mentioned, be wary of dust and other particles that may get between the case and the bezels. I always give a quick blow into the case and a wipe with microfiber before placing my (also wiped down) phone back into it.
It sucks that it scratched your phone, but I can't say I've had the same experience, this is my favorite and go-to case for my Note 4.

I got the clear Ringke and have been using it over the weekend and it seemed ok. I haven't taken it on and off alot though. I wonder how the tpu is scratching it? I also saw a review of the same thing for the spigen clear case so I ordered one to see what was up. Do you have the white or black note 4? Could we see some pics please?
I also have the iBlason clear off amazon and it seems to be ok.

Also, after examining the edge of the ringke and the iBlason, the edge seems very sharp and I think this is what is causing the scratches. I am going to try and chamfer the sharp edge and see what happens. I think some emery cloth and a little patience will go a long way.
Hi
Is someone so kind to explain the differences between case materials? Tpu, silicon, policarbon, gel, ...?
Is tpu the same as silicon?
Buying from the Internet is a mess, without touching and trying it before.
Thanks

I don't think it's the cases, I think its the environment. Dusty or sandy environments I believe contribute to the scratching. Particles get between the case and the phone etc. Thats why people have such different experiences with the same cases. Ultimately I hope Samsung comes up with a better exterior design that avoids the soft exposed metal trim. I personally would have preferred the black paint all the way around as it has been far more durable for me. My wife will be going with the S6 when it comes out but only if they do away with the current metal trim thats on the Note 4.

Note Edge Bumper

Looks like bumpers are finally rolling in. I just ordered an "Aluminum Metal Protective Bumper Frame Hard Case For Samsung galaxy note edge" from ebay. They come in many colors, but they all have a gold trim. I just ordered a black one for myself!
Can't post links but searching ebay for "note edge bumper" should show it. Picture is attached. And careful because they make identical ones for the note 4. I nearly ordered the wrong one.
When you receive, let us know if you think the OEM Wallet Case would fit with this bumper! That would be perfect for all around protection and functionality
Dont understand how the flip case and a bumper would work together

Awesome hoping to see more varieties of bumper colors in the future
The Edge definately needs protection !
Does the bumper help protect the phone - with the flip cover it leaves the edge exposed...
Appreciate the post -

I had an issue with my G3 that everything was fine wifi, data, bluetooth but GPS would not pick up through the bumper. I eventually stopped using it for that reason. Let me know how it is.
I ordered the black bumper locally. $10 for bumper case and screen protector with free local shipping.
I am only concerned about the gold edges which makes it look a little odd. I would have been better if it was silver or better yet, all black.
Anyway, will post pictures tomorrow.
Okay so it came in today! First off, no it will not fit with the wallet case unfortunately.
The finish on it is is nice. The gold is a little odd but doesn't look bad. The buttons for the power and volume buttons work perfectly which is very nice. There's no trouble with getting the S pen in and out. Same goes for the usb cable.
The bumper is very snug so I had to be very careful with putting on and removing the bumper. Think I may have a couple tiny Knicks on the silver edging
Using the edge screen is a bit odd for me because there's an edge there now, but it isn't cumbersome. And it's probably typical of any other cases out there that wrap around the phone. (I've only used the wallet case)
The bumper is surprisingly nice for seemongly the first one to come into the wild for our phone. Now here's some pics of the bumper. Once i get access to someome elses phone/camera I'll get pics of it on the bumper ON the phone.
Well i can get a picture of the back of the phone in the meantime
Just got mine today, black/gold (pictured) and gold/gold
Gold bumper
I also got the bumper case for my Galaxy Note Edge N915S (Exynos)
Got it locally in Hong Kong with a screen protector (not full screen though). I have full (edge to edge) screen protector already so that is not an issue.
I have installed the bumper case it if feels good and it gives the phone a bitter grip.
The back of my phone cover is protected with 3M protection to avoid scratches. I am using the S Charger cover for the note Edge it it has no issues with the bumper case.
Looks great.. Iam going to order one.. To bad it's so far away prolly take forever to get.
I've really liked the bumper for the past couple of days but may be going back to my wallet case in the meantime. My reason being the "hump" from the camera. I like my phone to be level when laid on its back.

Yes, it pretty much decimates the GPS signal. I got the grey/gold bumper and it looks great; not as tacky as I thought it would look with the gold strip. But the GPS loss is terrible! I have to take it off everytime I use it in the car.

Call me crazy, but I like the bumper case enough that I just ordered an external bluetooth GPS receiver to try out. My WiFi, bluetooth and cellular seems okay; probably does suffer a bit, but not much. GPS is the only one that seems to be a huge issue for me. I'll let you guys know how that turns out.

SUPCASE [Unicorn Beetle] Review

I bought this case thinking that I would be able to take off the case with ease, but that was not the case.
The case seems like it's almost too tight of a fit and I felt like I was going to break my phone trying to put it together. In fact, I would have scratched the hell out of the sides if it weren't for my skinomi skin. I probably won't be using this case much - if at all, but I will admit that it feels like it would protect my device. The screen protector is awful, as expected, but meh. Cost $20 @ Amazon if you're interested. I'll probably return it if I find the energy to.
I honestly wouldn't recommend this case to anyone, but here are some pics :silly:

Yes it is. This is my go to case when I need heavy protection (it's one of 5 cases I use). I didn't find it difficult at all to remove. As a matter of fact I remove and place cases constantly. It was probably difficult for the OP since he has a skin on it. The tolerances for these case are very precise.

You know... Now that you mention it.. I also have a glass sp underneath so that likely did not help at all *-* Either way though, the top portion of the case (where I believe the phone is supposed to click into, correct?) was a really really tight fit T: Maybe I should have tried to click in my phone the other way though :silly: I can't remember what I wrote in my original post but I'm sure I already complained enough
The case wasn't all bad though (for me). It felt sturdy without too much additional bulk, but it just isn't for me d: Probably going to stick with my s-view until I find something better while lurking these forums :good:
Its too bad the Skinomi Techskin does not include protection to the Chamfered edges. Neither do the other skins on the market. Bummer.
