If it's not announced by Google (and therefore google-able) then chances are no one here will know or can legally tell you.

I was poking around the threads and I know they "promised" us a comprehensive update by the end of February with some fixes, but has it been released yet? all I know of is the crap update that theyve had for a while (version 1.62.502.0 for ATT). '
If anyone could chime in and enlighten me and a few others on this it would be appreciated, and if I just happened to miss the announcement of the official update (which I dont think I did), close this thread and let it slide down to the bottom. Thanks.

That's true...
HTC comes out with unique and REALLY awesome phones.... but they give us **** crap software and ROM's to run on these awesome phones.
Correct ... end Feb slipped to end Mar ... still 6.0 though, no word on 6.1 other than "after end Mar"
We are developing a new Iphone application that is going to blow everything else out of the water. It is not available until the end of April and no one else is doing it...
We want to also implement the application on Google phone and Microsoft.

You do realize that this isnt going to be a market release, or even a consumer release. They are making it as a replacement for vendors to use on their phone. Its all right on the main page of the website.
This looks like what that dude was trying to make people create a couple weeks ago. Hahhh.

This may sound a bit strange, but i want to (re)lock my HTX 8X and i was wondering if anyone has some knowledge about this? I don't want to hack or unlock or break anything, just want to get my phone working again and help some people out here having the same problem. I already posted this in the general "Shipped ROM Collection" thread, but i want to isolate the issue and keep that thread clean.

Maybe we can get help with HTC? I really think a lot of 'Not for Resale' HTC 8X'es which are security unlocked have been seeded to users.
Question to OP: Is your 8X a loaner or really yours?

The next question would be, how and where did you get that. If you bought that, then there's a good chance you or we can convince HTC to release a tool or something that will update the bootloader(?) so we can receive updates in the future.

There was an article on WPCentral titled: Verizon HTC 8X to get Windows Phone 8.1 in late October.
In a few words,the article referred to a screenshot from HTC's official Twitter account,that read as follows:
You can expect the Windows 8.1 update to roll out to Verizon's HTC 8X in late October
That's pretty much all that we have,but I'm guessing that as soon as one provider gives out the update,others will follow!
Let's all pray that HTC will keep their word.
