I'm buying thus for my Nexus 9, and Nexus 6. I love dbrand!
Anyone have experience with dbrand skins? Do they make your device feel cheaper?
can you use these skins, then get like a clear backed bumper case maybe?

They defenitely do NOT make your device cheaper. The skins make your device extra special.
I use them on my Nexus 5, with pleasure.

I don't think they have a clear transparant skin yet, but you can always use a black matte skin on a black N9 and a matte white for a white N9.

What color Nexus 5 do you have? and does the dbrand make the phone FEEL any cheaper or better?
I love the soft-touch on my Black N5. I can't imaging a dbrand skin texture feeling nearly as good.

For what it's worth, I was also skeptical of the feel of dbrand skins. I don't like stickers in general because I am wary of discoloration issues when you eventually peel them off. Granted, I don't have a dbrand for every device, but I did put one on the back of my Nexus 7 (2013) and I think it improves the feel.
The one I have is textured and looks like brushed metal. Sometimes, when I first pick it up and the device is still cool, I almost think it is actually a metallic back. I feel that the brushed finish improves grip just a bit.

The feel of my N5 improved. I have a white N5 and the dbrand skin makes it less slippery and it feels better. A white N5 does not have the soft touch originally.
how come they don't make soft-touch skins for phones?
I love the texture of the black Nexus 5. and I'd love to have a skin that replicates that feeling.
I hope @dbrand release this skin ASAP because the nexus 9 is it already and so I'd their Nexus 6 skin creator online.

I'm debating on this one. I love the dbrand skin on the Nexus 5. I have the white version with the hard back so the skin makes sense and actually feels better than without it. On the N9 however, I have the black soft touch that feels fantastic. Also, wonder what the skin would do to the soft touch back - residue, etc. Anyone have experience with dbrand on a soft touch back?

I had a dbrand on my black n5 for about two months. I recently removed it. The back is perfect, no residue.
Waiting on them to make them. I have carbon fiber on my n6. Thinking titanium for my N9
Almost mid December and no N9 yet. Moto G is still first on their release calendar, so I hope that comes out soon so that we can anticipate the N9's release hopefully before the end of the year.

I've contacted them multiple times for an update and received no answer at all. I am about to go with a different company. I love dbrand and usually have no issues getting a response from customer service, but in this case, I admit I am getting a little annoyed at complete refusal to update or answer the question.

For those of you who like the grip of a "skin" but a little bit of hard case too
I just picked two of these up on Ebay for $8.99 shipped. The only way I can describe them is a silicone skin/hard case hybrid.
It's basically a silicone case with a hard cover that holds the silicone case on a bit better plus gives a little bit o' hard cover type protection. Every silicone case i've had in the past liked to slip off pretty easily - this doesn't feel like it's going anywhere anytime soon!
The ones I got were the lime green and carbon fiber variants, but they can be also had in pink, blue or black. I thought the lime green with black screamed Android!
If nothing else, they are definitely unique!

wow that's pretty awesome. I know there was a company that made something similar for iPhones, and some people here were emailing them to petition for a N1 model. I have to say this probably does exactly the same thing for much, much cheaper.

do you have an invisible skin or best skin ever? I have a best skin ever and have found that a couple(admittedly cheap) hard snap on cases I've purchased wouldn't close completely due to this skin, but it sounds like these are a bit different?
I have no additional skin but I have no doubts this would fit with one of those.

I ordered both of mine on a Monday and they arrived on Friday. That's about normal for first class mail between California and Florida though.
I say invest in a good case. Get Seidio Innocase II. Feels very good in the hand. All worth the money.
I got my case on Monday. I can do a video review as well if anyone likes..
Quick take: It has a real solid feel, looks pretty cool, and even my fashion conscious girlfriend agrees. There were a few *small* nitpicks with the fit that I had that are hard to explain in typing, but it was definitely worth the 8 bucks. Again, it feels considerably solid and I like that it works with a bestskinever where a traditional hard case does not.
Deal breaker: It's so solid, that's kind of a pain to take off of the phone. I have a desktop dock that I use every night and live with the fact that I just have to remove the standard gelli type soft cases, which is easy to do. So, for that reason I probably won't be using it much, but if I didn't use a dock, I'd use this case 24/7

I looked at the MyBat website and I see that they make similar cases for other phones, so I've been sending any admirers looking to see if they can find one for their phones.
I came across a bunch of other models for other phones on Amazon by searching for MyBat and Hybrid.
I didn't get around to making a video review, but damn this case is nice. Very solid, and no obnoxious logos *cough* Case Mate *cough*
Well worth the money, great fit. Only issue I had was with my screen protector, I didn't have it applied perfectly center, so the edge of the case would cause the screen protector to lift and bubble. I have since reapplied a new one, and all is golden!

Hey guys.
Received my Poetic bumper case today and I'm really enjoying it. Currently I have 3 cases, the official bumper case, the rearth ringke and the poetic borderline (aka bumper).
So far I really like this case, and in a TL;DR version, I think I'm going to use this case over the other two. The reason I like this case it that it shows off the unique Nexus 4 backplate while still offering some degree of protection. You'll see in the photos below that there is a small, yet noticeable raise on the sides of the case to prevent the phone from coming into contact with any flat object. I think I'll be choosing this case over the official bumper because this bumper case a slimmer profile and adds less bulk. My first impression with the official case is that it made the phone harder to hold (for me personally).
The covers for the buttons work well and I enjoy the feel of the case overall. The price I got this for (right around $6) and the quality make this case feel like a total steal.

I just received mine yesterday, and today i realized it was uneven, it turns out there is a rip on the top left corner, i don't how it happened or what caused it, because i didn't drop it or anything. I contacted costumer service and waiting for a reply. But I really do like the look and feel of this case

The flash on my camera made the gray look lighter than it normally appears. I honestly don't mind it, and if you're in a financial position to be able to gamble $9 I would say try it out.

I already bought it, $9 isn't a problem. Just prefer the black/black color setup.
I've taken a look at numerous amounts of pictures. It looks good, just wish grey was black but we'll see how this turns out. Only because I want to show off the back
Got mine today. It really is very nice. I actually like it more than the official bumper. It's very nice, slimmer and doesn't have the double bezel like the official bumper. Also, it didn't lift up my best skins ever back protector or screen protector.

Just ordered my poetic bumper off ebay and now I'm looking to get a full body XO skin. Could anyone suggest either the regular XO cut or the case cut?
Does it make the phone less slippery? My other cases are not good for wireless charging
And in 2-4 weeks you'll all be signing a different tune when it starts peeling apart. It's a good case until then though. I had two that both starting falling apart so I got my money back and went with the official bumper.
That looks even bigger than Google's bumper. And I couldn't use one without some back protection. I love my Fosmon(?) TPU case.

Yes it does. The leather style back has a texture to it so it will definitely grip/cushion the back well.

It honestly doesnt provide that much more grip it probally does more than the glass but when i had my BSE on the back the grip was better than with the black leather. It just doesnt have that much texture to it (The color ones have more) The carbon fiber and titanium ones do have a bit more grip aswell but the black leather is the least and most slippery of them all.

All these have a soft matte finish with all around coverage (hate the ones that are cut out at the bottom and top) and a semi transparent finish that I think would look great. They would still show off the back of the 6p without fully covering it. Any help finding something like this?
I think a smoke case similar like the ones above would look great with the graphite 6p and a tempered glass screen protector. Almost fully naked 6p but with some protection.

Thanks for those suggestions, had already looked at all those. Don't exactly fit the bill of what I'm looking for. Look fairly thick. Since Orzly made a 0.5mm case for last year's nexus 6, hopefully they make one for the 6p.

Reports say the Google one is a bit loose fitting.

That one looks good except that it has the top and bottom open. Hate that. It digs into your fingers when holding it and resting the bottom of the phone on your pinky when using it.
Still searching for something like Veil XT or Peel

I had the Peel on my iphone and it was absolutely slick but I doubt peel or caudabe will make one for the nex :/

Oh! So close. Would there be one that does have the sensor cutout? I'm looking for one of these hard cases that cover the bump glass (unlike the Spigen one) and if they're translucent, I want matte.

At first I wanted to take the rhinoshield and I changed my mind because it is too thick compared to the Tech21 and the slider button on the shell I do not like at all. This one is quite fine with a unique design and a nice opaque transparency which makes it even more attractive. we have a good impression when we hold the oneplus 6 with. I wanted something other than TPU and I was looking for a shell shock i does not regret my purchase. I will post photos for those interested.

Definitly a good choice, but only for the white and red OP6 i think. I would have prefered a black variant too. Anyway, the Evo Shell i've bought is a nice choice, too. The quality is great and Tech21's service is outstanding! Got 2 cases replaced in the past without any issues.
Yes me too i would have prefer a black version but the transparent is also good. I got the midnight black version and on the sun the case make a really good rainbow effect which is beautiful. Sometime a little blue with a purple color. I like it.
