I am reading your posts about android development since many months but still have not rooted my Galaxy Grand because of the fear of getting a bricked device. First of all I really appreciate the dedication of all the senior members and developers who are continuously working on improving the experience of these costly pieces of plastic mobile companies are selling these days.
Now i am really fed up with the poor lagging performance of my Galaxy Grand and want to root it with a custom ROM,
I know posts about asking for the Best or Top Rom's are not allowed here so i just want suggestion to which stable ROM to use as of your experience?

Hi everyone this question is to all smart developers from XDA. Guys could someone port Jelly Bean to Galaxy S Plus.I know that many guys already tried but without succes.They just don't have that expierience and knowledge but You have.
So how much it would cost ?? If this is the issue i can come out with some $$
Anyway Could You just think about it because I9001 is really decent phone so please help us out.

Hello everyone I have an Xperia S rooted phone currently working on Cyanogenmod 11. Although it has a everything a smartphone user looks for, appeal and all, I've been encountering way too many bugs. I admit I had been warned of this as it was an unofficial release. But I am rather insistent on installing KitKat. So what are my other options? I've heard a great deal of ParanoidAndroid and Carbon. Are these any good or will I meet our ugly friends, the bugs? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
We cannot tell you to use one rom over another. You have to make this decision on your own. there are plenty of rom reviews out there for you to view.

Hi All,
Just discovered XdaDev by googling....like the spirit of communal help, hope I can contribute back one day.
Am semi tech on many different things but I've got no 'head space' on mobile tech, rooting and all that goes with it.
The more I read the more I get confused, many posts come assuming you know stuff already or have a 'familiarity',
=MY PROBLEM=
My Galaxy Young GT S6102 keeps filling up as storage is low spec. Due to Samsung forced updates I either factory default it again and run around with no security or Learn to ROOT it and perhaps put a minimal image on it.

Tried looking for my model and although there are some refs here and there I cant find a good NEWBIE GUIDE to do it.
Can someone please point me in the direction with a few links. I'm not being lazy, I spend over 20 hours searching the internet and cant find anything that doesn't leave me with some doubt or missing knowledge [assumed pre knowledge/familiarity].
Don't want to brick my phone, am out of work and can't afford to replace.

After 5 years having my soldier Ace Plus in service, today, sadly, It's time for him to have some rest! 5 years of his age passed, with the help of our great developers who did impressive work to keep Ace Plus alive and strong, but unfortunately, technology was faster and tougher on him!
recently I bought a "Sony Xperia Z3" device, so i'm leaving Gt-S7500 forums where I spent great times and learnt the basics of android development which indeed will help me follow Xperia z3 forums.

please take the time to read my problem .hello my name is samhith i used to own an android one which has almost every rom imaginable. it was one of the first devices to successfully boot nougat.so i guess you have an idea of how dev friendly it was. but now i upgraded (downgraded actually)to a coolpad note 3 lite which has no sources is mtk and has only a 1.3ghz quadcore . i feel so low and am about to go into borderline depression . i am a computer science student of 11th grade and my sems are coming up in 10 days so i have to study well but i cant because of lack of concentration ever since i touched android i have deteriorated in studies my interest in programming has gone down and so has my love for science so please help. i cant buy any other device. oh and my dad is an ex flashaholic.he says he just lost intrest after chaanging to a k3 note
