couldn't pair with 9xxplantronics because of an incorrect pin or passkey - General SlimRoms Discussion

Hi Developers and All,
I have tried a couple of ROM and decided on SLIMKAT/SLIMROM.
Off all is perfection for my need except I have tried to pair up with my plantronics discovery 975 bluetooth headset, flash from stable version 6 official SlimKat for my N5120, to its weekly beta version, no joy on this one. Also tried with my old iTech bluetooth headset and unable to pair them up.
Does anyone having issue hooking up your bluetooth headset with slimkat on N5120? Anyway to resolve it, appreciate for some help on this one as my note is too big to use as handset, need a wireless headset for it.

Bluetooth 2.0 - anyone?

I'm after an upgrade for BT. My headphones need 2.0w/EDR + A2DP.
Can anyone help.
Thanks
try this...
run both files
Didn't work
This install is to enable the A2DP feature for BT, not to upgrade the BT stack.
Thanks anyway.
Can anyone else help??
I am not sure I can help, but I am curious what headphones you got that will only use 2.0?
The headphones are Logitech FreePulse Wireless
Link to headphones are:

They're pretty good. This pair is a replacement, from Logitech, for 2 pairs of the old iPod headphones. They were replaced due to the cracking headband problem. Unfortunately the new pair does not operate the remote control functions (on the iPod or the phone). They just have volume and mute controls on the headphones.
These new ones connect to the phone OK, but I'm not able to set the device as 'set as Wireless Stereo' and there are no service listed. I'm guessing it the phones version of BT that's stopping the connectivity problem.
What's your interest BT or the headphones?
Cheers.
I am interested in finding the ideal a2dp headphones (decent sound, comfortable, no distortion/skipping, controls work right). I've tried several with my qtek 8300 (moto ht820, sony hbhds970, nextlink spider), and each seems to have its own problems. I've settled on the Sony set, but it has issues with switching from handsfree to wireless stereo (won't automatically switch back to wireless stereo after phone call). I haven't tried any logitech set yet, though.
Hello,
I have downloaded the zip file but seems to be corrupted. Can you upload it again. Many Thanks.

ROM or not ROM

Hi all,
I wasn't planning updating to the custom ROM but I'm having connection issues with bluetooth at my car (I got to turn off and then turn on bluetooth on the phone to get it connected) and I was wondering if new ROM going to solve this problem or it's more like hardware?
Any idea?
Thanks
Alex
what kind of radio? even with a custom rom (evils Z) on my pioneer f90bt sometimes i have to turn the blue tooth on and off for it to connect. sometimes it connects first try.
BT is a finicky protocol. Do you have BT issues with any other devices and your phone, or just the car stereo?
Just this stupid stereo. It works fine with other cars. But other phones works fine with my stereo
May be the stereo not sending out a connection request when you turn your car on have u tried re-pairing? I've had similar with a headset.
I tried re-pairing with no result. I can initiate car bt connection manually so I'm pretty sure it's the phone issue.

Bluetooth pairing but actually not working

Hi,
Bluetooth is not working.
Everything was just fine until v. 44s. I've upgraded (so sorry for that) to version 05Q. Then, I had severe touch screen problem.
OPO tech support made clean install of Oxygen OS in order to solve the touch problem, but since the Oxygen update, my Bluetooth is actually not working.
I am trying to work with my car system (Kenwood DDX 8026 BT).
The OPO successfully pairs with the system, but 99 of 100 calls won't pass via BT to the car speakers.
I am also unable at all to stream music via A2DP whatsoever.
Any ideas would be very welcomed.
Amir.
Having the same issue - did you find a fix?

Bluetooth headset compatibility

Hello guys, anyone use a bluetooth headset? if yes, what brand is it? i use LG tone+ that support bluetooth 4.1, a2dp and apt-x, but the problem is the sound frequently become distorted, especially when my kenzo far enough from bluetooth headset (50 cm +). Is the problem with headset or rom i used? i use miui 8 dev cn. thanks for help.
hey, i think its headset related. im using a AudioMX Bluetooth Over-Ear headset and it works within a reach of 4-5m. after that distance i have problem with audio distortion.
I have a sony SBH60 and it works flawlessly. No distortion at all, and little to no "audio lag" (I mean audio/video sync), at least I haven't noticed while watching classic youtube content, I don't use my phone for movies or TV Shows.
For me I am using Samsung level U and everything works well. Besides, I have a portable bluetooth speaker too (china brand) and also works.
what rom do you use guys? i use miui dev cn official. thanks.
I'm using latest xiaomi.eu rom
Sorry for the late reply, I'm using 8.1.3.0 Global, always kept my phone up to date, no issues so far.
Also tested with my in car Pioneer MH380, a Logitech MiniBoom (UE), and a MPOW Bluetooth transmitter.
I've never had any issue with bluetooth whatsoever, maybe a clean install could help.
Hi, anybody having their sounds lagging every 10-30 seconds? I'm streaming via bluetooth to my car head unit and the sound keeps disappearing about a second and it's pretty annoying. and only this phone having this trouble. Update/clean install doesn't help. I'm using global dev.

GRDE Bluetooth earbuds pairing with HTCU11 failing permanently

Hi there... I ve tried several times to pair my GRDE Bluetooth earbuds ( working on BT version V4.1 + EDR) with HTCU11 (Android Oreo 8.0.0., version 2.33.401.10)? My smartwatch running perfect on Bluetooth, but these earbuds I can not pair. Dialogue window flashing (unable to pair, as you put wrong PIN code or key.. Phone has detected earbuds as S-E6, but its not able to pair them). Ive tried to change AVRCP version from 1.4 to 1.6. but pairing failed too..Any idea how to pair them please?
I would prefer to not downgrade the phone to Android 7.1.1, factory reset, etc? Much appreciate your comments...thank you
Solved...Factory reset helped..
