Boot Animation - G3 Themes and Apps

Hi guys.. I'd like to share a boot animation with you all. Follow the link below but I didn't get the boot animation as described ( very strange!!!! ).. What I have is this using ( " Rotate animation without background " ) from the link below
http://allhackersnews.com/2013/11/change-kitkat-style-android-logo-boot-animation.html
I have the LG G Pro, too and I've found it's Lockscreen app on Play Store.. It has some really cool unlock animations (which I think are better than the G3) .. Here go
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lockscreen.optimus&hl=en_GB
Description
LG Optimus Lockscreen is a lock screen application which makes your phone looks exactly like LG optimus G, including Particle, Crystal, DewDrop, Ripple and WhiteHole effect, the effect is very gorgeous and smooth, simple and practical!
Application features:
1 Particle effect;
2 Crystal effect;
3 Dewdrop effect;
4 Ripple effect;
5 WhiteHole effect;
3D DewDrop effect requires root support, if your device is not rooted, dew drop will be not perfect.
Crystal projection effect requires root, if not rooted, crystal only shows wallpaper.
Note: To prevent double lock screen, enable LG Optimus Lockscreen, and choose the system lock screen as "None."

Thanks for verifying mate :good:

I have no idea on how to change the boot animation on the G3 but one thing I know: I made those animations for the nexus 5 and that website just stole them... fantastic.

I dropped them a comment under their article. There is a word for what they probably did and I hate that behavior. However, thanks for your work.
EDIT:
Just to ensure my comment or the content does not suddenly disappear, I made a PDF printout.

[Boot Animation] Black Ops for any Android Device

Pulled an all nighter for a little afternoon treat. Here is a Black Ops boot animation for any android device.
Important: These files I upload are not flashable via recovery, you need to push them via ADB or copy them to your SDcard and then placed in the correct system folder. User Tiffany84 will upload flashable zips for everyone shortly, please thank her for her work as well.
Instructions: Place or push via ADB the "bootanimation.zip" file just as it is downloaded into the system folder where your boot animations are located. The directories are either "/system/customize/resource" or "/system/media". I have included the mp3's for either directory, simply unrar and copy/push the files. "android_audio.mp3 goes into /system/media and "SPC_animation_final.mp3" goes into /system/customize/resource" you do not need both, its one or the other depending on your rom.
Here is a little .gif preview as well as the youtube link so you can see how it is supposed to sound. I hope you all enjoy!
As always, if you need help or have questions, please feel free to ask.

I have never had luck with putting custom boots on my phone =\
I'm gonna wait for the flashable zip and see if it works for me! Appreciate the work

These are flashable zips of the bootanimation. The first one is for people that are on a rom that has the bootanimation located in system/customize/resource. The second is for people that are on a rom that has the bootanimation located in system/media. The audio is included in both of them. Enjoy.
Edit: I just tested the the one for roms that has the animation located in system/media and I had no sound. The animation looked great but I didn't have audio. I've never had any luck with audio for bootanimations that are stored in system/media. Sorry.

This is pretty good. I was wondering if its possible to make a seperate bootscreen animation that is just the green wire with the Android logo.... skipping all of the "black ops" footage.
Honestly, that green wire android is amazingly sick! Just loop that and im sold!
Thanks

after rebooting and watching the animation several thousand times, wouldnt it be cool to have HTC EVO 4G logo show up right at the end with a camouflage and ripple effect? The logo of course would be placed right in the middle where it always has been.

Yes it would, working on Gears of War at the moment, but will revisit this idea.
I think your sound won't work for some. On the Inc im pretty sure the sound is VZW_Droid.mp3 since 2.2, depending on the rom.

[REQUEST] .zip to remove CRT animation from any rom

I know some people like the CRT animation, but personally I like my phone to turn on quick. I'm sure there is an easy way by means of a little recovery flashing to remove the CRT animation. Can anyone help? Thanks
Replace the downanimation.zip from system/customize/resources with a downanimation you like...
Personally i like the one attached (its stock, only black background..)
Download https://market.android.com/details?id=com.droidgram.spareparts&feature=search_result from the app market and set the window and transition animation to fast and then no more CRT transitions for you.
Go into settings>display and disable all animations?

This is the fastest/easiest way to disable CRT on/off animation.
If you really want to remove it then just push the stock services.jar to your phone using adb. You can get it from under /system/framework/ in your custom ROMs zip file.

codeworkx is already working on cm7. When he will able to port a stable CM7 with camera issue solved then I think we will be listed in official cm7 list.
Regarding boot animation how u reduced size of droid x file? Anyway I used original file directly with renaming it as sanim.zi. Its working surerbly.

[Q] Change Bootanimation on Trickdroid 7 TMOUS

Hi Everyone,
I am not being able to change the bootanimation on Trickdroid v7 TMOUS rom, I am stuck with the ugly grey "android" bootanimation.
I have checked file /system/customize/CID/default.xml which states the bootanimation would be on file /system/customize/resource/hTC_bootup_one.zip, but changing it does nothing.
Any clues? I also tried placing on resource folder a htc_rockey_animazation.zip or someting like that detailed on some posts but neither worked. There are no other xml files on CID folder, and Trickdroid Tweak Packages can't change the animation neiher.
If you have any directions I would greatly appreciate them,
Regards,
Diego
PD: yeah I say regards as if this was an email... whatever I am still saying it =P

If you have a bootanimation.zip file you can replace the one in your current rom in system/media. Best to do it before the flash it seems though. Otherwise, there's a boot animation app in the market. Search boot animation

Ok now I tried installing a boot animation with ROM Toolbox Lite and it removed my current bootanimation but only have black screen now instead of boot animation.
I just tried resizing one to 540x960 and 30fps wit the same app but still black screen.
It is one step forward to having another animation though hehe, thanks, will keep trying other animations from ROM Toolbox to see if one works
Thanks for the info. Has it happened to you that some animations get you black screen? Just installed 3 different ones and same results,

I had no zip file on /system/media/, I placed one there and renamed to bootanimation.zip, rebooted, and it worked!!! :victory:
Thanks a lot blackcell1 and beats4x !! It seems ROM Toolbox made something so the phone looked into /system/media for animations, because there was nothing there, neither the grey android ugly animation I had before using ROM Toolbox.

[BOOTANIMATION] Android Lollipop (Xperia M2)

Hello everybody!
I've just "ported" the bootanimation from the Android Lollipop Preview from Nexus 5, I've resized every picture one by one so that they match the screen resolution of our smartphone
Also, I've created a new bootsound, that combines the old Xperia Bootanimation and the song that Google used in the intro of the I/O Keynote of this year

Demo video:
Download: MEGA / Dropbox
Instructions: Move to /system/media and give permission RW-R-R
Hope you enjoyed it, and if so, hit the thanks button

Sorry, I think that's not possible, check that some people, like JanM RS and Ben Ling, have already tried with Sony's SDKs to make a theme for Xperia Themes, but it didn't work because it needs the SuperUser Mod, so let's see if it's still necesary to root the device when KK arrives, or if we are able to use it at 100%..
BTW, check this post, it's a request for CyanogenMod to bring official support for our device, you might be interested, maybe, if they bring us support, we might have Android L rom's in the future :fingers-crossed:
Thanks man!
Thats look nice i guess,, so i'll try to port to mine..thank u..

Yes. U need a rooted device for sure.
Upppppp (so that new ones can check this amazing bootanimation )
Cool bro! Keep it up
Works great on my Xperia M2 Dual:good:
works fine on D2305, it's a bit blurry at the edges but the resizing must have messed it up
one kool tip for people who are paranoid about changing the boot animation and bricking their device is to:
1)be rooted ofc
2)IMPORTANT!!!: RENAME NOT REPLACE
3)now you can move the "new" boot animation to /system/media
4)now navigate to /system/bin
5)find the script "bootanimation" it shouldn't be "bootanimation.sh" or anything else just "bootanimation", may be diffrent for other devices but it should be consistance across all android devices
6)if it shows the new animation then done! :victory::victory::victory:
7)else, go back, delete the "new" one and rename the old boot animation to it original name "bootanimation.zip"
8)check all the contents of the "new" one and perform a MD5/hash checksum on it, then take it from step 2 again
i'll personally keep another copy of the boot animation on my PC so i can adb push it if all fails
