[Completed] Force change lockscreen wallpaper - XDA Assist

Hello everyone !
Here's my problem:
I have a Jiake X3S (Chinese, 8core 2gb ram phone) on which I want to change the wallpaper of the lockscreen. But the thing is that the phone ONLY lets me choose between the pictures that are in the "Wallpaper" menu (kind of) so I can't choose my own picture to set as lockscreen wallpaper !
If anyone has an idea of how to fix this..
I'll be very thankful !
PS: sorry if I posted in the wrong section !

I do not own this phone, but you can try to move your desired personal photo's, wich you wanna set up, to Wallpaper Folder with some explorer.
Here is related thread specific to your phone: JIAKE X3S MTK6592 1.7GHz Octa Core 5.0 Inch HD Screen 3G

Another way may be to go into your gallery, go to the pic you want, click the picture then menu button....you should have a "set picture as" option?

I tried that with root explorer, but did not find anything :/.
Kj2112 That's the first thing that I did, but it did not work. That option only works for the home screen wallpaper (on my phone, at least) :/

Hey..
If you are on JB+, then you can use this xposed module in order to change your lockscreen background..
It requires xposed framework to be functional.
But i cant fully guarntee that it will run on your device.
Better make a backup before doing anything.
cheers.

Hi dagger, I tried that, but still no results.. :/
What I was thinking about is to FIND the location of the lockscreen wallpapers and to ADD the pictures that I want to THAT location, but the problem is that I cannot find that location :/

It's sounds like they crippled their lockscreen; I would install a third party one that you can customize to your liking and disable the stock one.
I used to use Widget Locker, very customizable. Now I just use the lockscreen option in AcDisplay

Hey,
Great looking app, can't wait to try it out.
Just installed it to my Desire HD (stock rom, 1.72 firmware) via adb and whenever I try to add the widget to my home screen, it tells me "no more room on this homescreen". This is with LauncherPRO.
On restart of my phone I also got a message saying that the process had crashed and had to force close. (app loads fine however, just not able to put the widget on)
Any suggestions?
I just tried it on my galaxy s it says no enough romm in this page in both launcher pro and touchwiz.
When i open the app it force close and keep doing the same.
I really want this watch but no luck.

There was no need to use adb! It's similar to stock but not same app. The widget will occupy the whole screen. Did you have another shortcuts on the screen when u tried?

Thanks man , looks great and attractive to me . Will give it a try now.
Btw can this directly be installed from the market? Unlike other apps which require root access plus fiddling with the adb process and commands?

Heh, only reason I used adb was because I downloaded the apk on my desktop, and my phone was plugged in but not mounted. I'm lazy like that XD
And yeah, I tried it on an empty home screen, so no other widgets on it.

It's me or there isn't a way to have it orange by now?
Thanks
Hey Adam, I've been toying around with the launcher pro settings, just found, your widget uses a 5x5 layout currently which may be why many people are having issues not being able to add this to a home screen since the default is 4x4.
Any chance of a 4x4 version?
Cheers

TouchWiz4 for Gingerbread Tab (Deodexed only) Updated 05/13

First off thanks to everyone from the various SGS forums for this, especially to fear2142.
This is the Touchwiz4 Launcher from the SGS2 ported to work with Galaxy Tabs running a DeOdexed Gingerbread based build (or latest Overcome based on GB).
Changes I made for the Tab:
Fixed XML's to support larger screen
Adjust size for workspace/edit screens
Set Launcher workspace to 6 rows/ 6 columns (fits good)
Set appdrawer to 6x6 layout as well
Adjusted to allow 5 shortcuts on bottom bar
How to install?
This is a CWM3 package, save to sd card, use recovery to install (choose zip from sdcard etc)
You must clear your dalvik cache after install.
Reboot, clear the application data for twlauncher to ensure it displays properly.
This is currenty setup for 240 dpi, I'm working on a version for 182dpi as I type.
*UPDATE*
Alright, I've attached the 182 version. Unfortunatly I just cannot get it to accept a grid any larger than 8x8.. though I suppose that's still 64 spaces right?
Known Issues
Screen rotation is not currently working
Nice one mate!
Nice work! The screen rotation does not work for me.

You're going to need to add screenshots I think, cause I have no idea what you mean. None of my apps are covered by the dockbar shortcuts.

[SOLVED] Add "Auto-Rotate" to Quick Setting ?

Hi guys,
Is there any way to add "Auto-Rotate" to Quick Setting. I have searched the forum and even google it but didn't find any useful answer.
PS: My DS is running on Rooted Stock Rom (odex).
Thank You!
I'm not sure but I think there is a widget available for it?

yes, there is a Auto-Rotate widget that you can download from HTC Sense
then you can place on your home screen

No, i dont want any widgets on homescreen, what i want is to extend my Quick Settings drop down menu and add a toggle to auto on and off Rotation.
There is this "Switch Go Widget" I am using, try to search it on the market. I am using Go Launcher though, am not sure if you can install that one without Go Launcher.

Again widgets, i dont want any widget please. Noobs please don't try to answer this question as i know you all will tell me to use some or the other widgets. No hard feelings.
This question is for developers, who know how to tweak and mod the settings.
Moreover i found a thread but i guess that works for Deodex Roms not for the Odex ones. Here is the link : [SMALI GUIDE] How to add extended Quicksettings

What is it that you are trying to achieve with having that on the quick setting? If it's because you only want the screen rotate while in a certain app, then I'd recommend an app called Smart Rotator. It's on the market, and you can preconfigure which apps to rotate and at what angle. So whenever you launch that app, it will rotate as you configured, and when you close it, it returns to normal.
Not Available Try custom roms for this
You need to edit the sense frameworks

@eyahl... maybe he's asking to change the background for the app drawer, and not the wallpaper...? If you look at the attached pic carefully, you'll realize its not the homescreen, but the app drawer, which has probably been modified in whatever garish looking ROM that is...
Although the other possibility is that the app drawer is completely transparent, in which case your suggestion is perfect . But i doubt that, because you can't see any other homescreen elements through the background, which would have been visible if the app drawer had been transparent (clock, other widgets, etc), so i think my hunch above is correct. (Also, I can't believe that the OP managed to flash an entire custom ROM without having the slightest idea regarding changing the wallpaper...wouldn't that be something!! )

Flash Endymion.
You could use another launcher. Also try alt app draw (search the forum)
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
yeah you should stick with well known roms where you can get support, but there is a problem that needs to be solved so try pressing menu from within the app drawer to see if anything pops up , or it could be somewhere in the settings, it has to exist somewhere, if not consider another launcher

Its the weather clock that does it. Long press the clock and drag It into "edit" on the top left, select your location you want, then check "show full screen animation"
Beautiful widgets sucks compared to sense widgets and they only copied sense.

delete your weather clock widget, and add it again. You will see option: "show full screen animation ?" mark yes.

Well, it's a freaking well hidden setting that nobody knows since most people loves the HTC clock and they don't even move it.
Ever since I moved from my sensation to the One S I've been looking to get the full screen animation out of the weather clock widget. I finally did the right search to find the answer here. I am a bit of a n00b but it should be automatically set as enabled in the ROMs that are offered here and stock, don't know why it's not..?
Thanks much!!
