Windows
Make sure you have the drivers installed.
Download and extract the zip file linked above.
Connect your phone to you PC via USB cable, make sure USB Debugging is switched on.
Double click on the "flash-windows" (located inside the extracted folder) file.
Done!
Mac OS X
Download and extract the zip file linked above.
Connect your phone to you PC via USB cable, make sure USB Debugging is switched on.
Open your Terminal app, drag and drop the "flash-mac.sh" file (located inside the extracted folder) on to your terminal.
Done!
Linux
Make sure you have proper udev rules enabled.
Download and extract the zip file linked above.
Connect your phone to you PC via USB cable, make sure USB Debugging is switched on.
Open your Terminal, drag and drop the "flash-linux.sh" file (located inside the extracted folder) on to your terminal.
Done!
(If it shows device not found in Linux, try to kill server and re-run the script with sudo)

Make sure you have Fastboot installed, and flash the image to your recovery partition with it, like this "fastboot flash recovery xolo-recovery.img" (please google to see how to flash images with fastboot, duh! learn to google mate)
Done! Now pull the battery out, put it back in.

Rohan I wrote in facebook about this 3G issue.My 1st sim slot like others is giving this" ?" sometimes and now its only connecting to 2G. Whatever option I choose its selecting only the Edge option and the other options are not working. Can you find out exactly which apk is doing thia because it gets corrected if I factory reset but comes back after few days

Can we root using this recovery or still we need to use the script?

A command prompt will open and you select number 1. Normal, wait until you appear in hp T1E notification, then select restore my data is, then a few moments later your phone will reboot

After reboot check if superuser app is already available? If he immediately tests with applications that require root privileges. If the application runs, you've survived phone Root well.
B. TUTORIAL INSTALL CWM
TOOLS AND MATERIALS :
Mod Recovery

STEP WORK:
Download all the above ingredients, make sure leptop / pc has its drivers installed correctly
Then extract Mod Recovery.zip, (boot.img, recovery.img and open the file created Scatter)
Open SP Flash Tool.exe
Then enter the file Scatter file created on the left kollom scatter loading.
Then check BOOTIMG, then click and enter the boot.img file that you have downloaded earlier.
Then check back RECOVERY section and click then enter the recovery file that you have downloaded earlier.
And connect it to the leptop / pc hp are turned off, waiting indication in SP Flash TOOL detect your phone
Then press the Download / F9 in SP Flash Tool, wait until the process is complete.
If all processes are finished, enter cwm do the test in the off state by press the power button + volume up. If successful it will look like this

How Nandroid Backup via CWM?
Enter cwm (phone off using the power button + volume combining up)
Use the navigation on the bottom with volume up + down keys, the enter key to power
Select backup & restore
Then select the backup to internal sdcard, wait until all processes are running without any error
And select reboot system now
if all goes well the process, then there will be a new folder on your sdcard named "ClockworkMod" then in that folder there is a data folder backup your rom. example the folder name 2013-08-06.03.17.56

That's just Amazing, I'd been working over CWM for Xolo Q1100, but can't try it :laugh:
Just tested your recovery on my Xolo Q1100, it booted but black screen, may be some driver difference so the recovery isn't working on the device properly

A N D Y, did you change the zImage with the one from your stock recovery, why not try it with abootimg if you haven't done so yet?

This is the full guide for flashing twrp recovery in Xolo era 2x.
requirements:-
1-PC(windows7 or 8 or 10)
2-Xolo era 2x
3-USB cable which supports media transfer.
4-A little working brain.
Guide to unlock bootloader:-
If you have a windows 8 or 10,then you have to disable driver signature,you can find in YouTube how to disable driver signature in windows 8 or 10.
If you have windows 7, then you can skip this.
1:First download 15 sec adb installer version 1.3(download link at end of post) in PC and install it..
2:Now open the 15 sec adb installer and press Y to all.

3:Then you will see a folder named 'adb' in local disk(c or in (d.open the folder.
4:Hold shift+Right click in mouse,Now open cmd prompt.
5:Turn on the USB debugging and OEM unlock in developer options in android.
6:connect the phone to PC via USB cable.
7:Enter the command- adb devices
8:Now you will get this pop up in your android allow it.
9:now enter the same command again and now you will get list of devices attached with your device of some number.
10:Now enter this command- adb reboot bootloader
11: wait until your phone enter into fastboot mode.
12:Then type this command to check the device whether it is perfectly connected or not- fastboot devices
13:Then enter this command- fastboot oem unlock
14:Then you will get a message in android to unlock bootloader,click yes.
15: now your bootloader is unlocked.
Guide to flash twrp:-
1lace the SuperSU zip in your SD card on android.
2:extract the Xolo era 2x twrp zip ( provided at end of post).
3ownload the sp flash tool for your windows version and install it.
4: Then download the Mtk drivers and install it ( you can find many videos on how to install Mtk drivers manually)
5:Then Launch Sp flash tool.( Refer a video to how to use sp flash tool if you don't know how to use it)
6:Then select the load scatter and select the scatter file.(ensure that scatter file recovery IMG file are in a same folder and no other file with in the folder)
7:Then switch off your phone and remove the battery.
8:Connect your phone to PC with USB cable.
9:Then click on download button in sp flash tool.
10: Now put the battery and enter into recovery mode by pressing and holding volume up and power at a time(I am not sure about vol up or down,try vol down if up doesnt work)(Twrp has inverted display and touch but you can use it by assuming corners)
11:And flash SuperSU zip( Don't turn on the phone after flashing if you turn it on you have to flash again and you have must flash SuperSU zip)

[GUIDE] Flash ROMs On The Go (With Another Phone) (Without PC)

PREREQUISITES -
1. Two phones (one on which you want to flash rom/img, and other you'll use as host)(root is not required on host phone)
2. USB-C to USB-C cable, or USB-C to USB-A with OTG adaptor.
3. Some brain and patience.
PROCEDURE -
1. Install the app called "Bugjaeger" on an android phone you're going to use as host (root is not required)
2. Boot the phone to fastboot and connect the phone to host phone using USB-C to USB-C.
3. Open Bugjaeger app and go to the last tab.

4. You'll see your device listed in the app, so select it from the list.
5. Thereafter press the bottom right blue button.
6. This will open up a terminal like interface, here type the command for flashing the boot img. Just type "fastboot flash boot" thereafter from the top, select the icon that looks like file attachment and select the boot img file.. No need to type the file location for file, it'll automatically be appended.
7.Press the button on the right and wait for the boot img to be flashed.
8. After it is done, boot to recovery, and select adb sideload option from recovery.
9. The phone should again be detected in the Bugjaeger app and be listed. Ensure its selected.
10. Now on the host phone, scroll to the bottom on the same tab to the last option that says "Pick file and perform sideload"
11. After selecting the ROM zip file, wait for it to be flashed, the progress will be displayed on the host phone, it will go till about 47% before the process is completed.
12. Reboot the phone and enjoy new ROM
