Installation Instructions:

Warning 2: You can flash this rom on any other Rom (stock or custom or 4.4.2, etc). But it will format your system and data, SO YOU MUST TAKE FULL BACKUP OF YOUR DATA. Dont cry afterwards, "additionally" we will only hysterically laugh on you.
1) Download Rom File, Compare MD5 Checksum Value and if matching then Copy File in SDCARD.
2) Also download SuperSU 2.46 File and Copy File in SDCARD.
3) Start Phone in TWRP 2.8.5.0 Recovery Mode
4) Select Wipe >> Factory Reset
5) Select Install >> Select ROM ZIP file and >>> Swipe To Install
6) Select Install >> Select SuperSU2.46 ZIP file and >>> Swipe To Install
7) Reboot and you are done.

I have decided to try and port the MIUI rom to UMI Zero,
Here's my work... (I am not a developer but I followed some instructions online and was able to make it at least for me...)
Probably there will be bugs - so let me know
I'll try to fix what I know...

Installations:
Important:
Prior to any install make sure to backup your existing ROM. (TWRP backup?) if you wish to backup your SMS/Contacts there are a bunch of apps that can do it... (MobilePro is an example)
Backup your IMEI just in case... (Use MobileUncle or similar)
If you chose to install - your warranty is void.
I am not responsible for any damage that may be caused by this ROM.​
if coming from another rom/ Fresh install
as ususal... - I recomend a total wipe, but it is not a must....
Wipe Cache, Dalvik, Data, System, custpack.
Install Rom from SD card or internal memory
reboot.​
To update (existing Miui Rom):
Copy rom to SD Card or External SD card)
Open updater app.
Click on the 3 dots
Chose select update file --> select your copied file.
Reboot​
*** Make sure to disable OTA... as it is based on Redmi Note 3G MTK, and I can't promise to keep this forever...

I used TWRP 2.8.2.0 for UMI (can be downloaded from NEEDROM site)​

- Do not save the settings themes (after a reboot back to the default) (thanks alvin2014) - Fixed

I test it and it is almost perfect, except for a few bugs that are present also in the original ROM MIUI, it also has own bugs
- The lack of some icons (clock, weather) in the default themes

I hope that at least once in two weeks you issue your rom and not give up the topic because they go very well.

Hello, is the battery life improved in this update? And I noticed on the screenshots that it says 1,75 GB RAM. Is the phone using only 1,75GB instead of 2GB with this ROM?

This is just the display, it also will not show total ram in recent, only available ram
As for battery life, you tell me... I think it should be better.

EDIT: Just installed the ROM, I will do some tests now
Hmm I don't know why, but I cant unlock the SIM, and I can't past the initial screen :/. I enter the PIN and then after a short while it asks me for the PIN again and again
EDIT2: I just reinstalled the ROM and now when I enter the PIN it just says: "Unlocking SIM card" forever... There must be some problem with the phone app.
Now I rebooted and I get constantly the error com.android.phone has stoppped working, even without the SIM card inserted

Bugs:
- Telefone App is making issues -> Just make it the Default phone app and its solved
- OK Google Hotword doesnt work
- Pixel Launcher will force close on some devices nearly none if you are running a supported android version
- Google Dialer will force close on some devices just pick google dialer as the default phone app!
- Bootanimation could be displayed wrong on devices with a lower resolution than qHD (480p)
Get the original Stuff back:
Download a root browser, open it and activate root access. Now go to /system/priv-app/dialer and /NexusLauncherPrebuild and remove the whole folder, then reboot your phone.
If your old apps dont work again, sorry, but YOU decided to make these modifications and I take absolutly no warrinty for what you are doing!

How to install...
...new Google Assistant:
take a look at this thread
- Download all three files mentioned in "Method 2: Flashable ZIPs by @FaserF" from there and copy them to your device, then flash the 2 zip files[/URL]
...new Bootanimation:
Way 1: Download: GooglePixelBootanimation.zip and flash it
Way 2:
- Copy the bootanimation.zip file (inside the GooglePixelBootanimation.zip) on your SD card/ internal storage on your phone
- use a the root explorer, CM File Browser or any other file browser with root access to perform this action
- copy the .zip file into the system/media folder
- give the correct permissons
... Android M Ringtones (note nearly all are the same as in Lollipop!)
Way 1: Download: GooglePixelExperience.zip and flash it
Way 2: Extract the ringtones out of the flashable zip and copy the files to system/media/audio to the correct folder

- OK Google Hotword doesnt work
- Pixel Launcher will force close on some devices
- Google Dialer will force close on some devices
Get the original Stuff back:
Download a root browser, open it and activate root access. Now go to /system/priv-app/dialer and /NexusLauncherPrebuild and remove the whole folder, then reboot your phone.
If your old apps dont work again, sorry, but YOU decided to make these modifications and I take absolutly no warrinty for what you are doing!

Complete on you. With the new Pixel Launcher you have Google Now Integration, which you dont have on Nova Launcher.

Go to system -> media and rename bootanimation.zip to something else (for example bootanimation.backup.zip)
Then flash my file.
If it is buggy go to system -> media and delete bootanimation.zip and rename your bootanimation.backup.zip back to bootanimation.zip

Installation Steps
- Download the ROM and paste in the place in your SDCard or ExtSDCard
- Full Wipe (System, Data, Davik Cache, Cache)
- Go to Install and select Ale95-KangVIP.VX.X_MT7-CXXXBXXX.zip and wait that finish the installation and wipe Dalvik Cache/Cache
- Reboot and enjoy (first bootup will take a while [15-20 min], so grab a cup of coffee)

For launching google on tap by long pressing home button, change google app language to english US (via app settings xposed module) or change entire system language to english US.
Download my app and make shortcut to it on kangvip settings (navigation bar settings) remmember to switch on google on tap in google app settings
For google assistant install latest google app (6.6.16.21) and install xposed module Assistant Enabler, then change language of google app to english US or entire system to English US and Download my app and make shortcut to it on kangvip settings (navigation bar settings) remmember to switch on screen search in google app settings
Third method to launch google now/ assistant like on stock firmware is to install gravitybox and activate navigation bar tweaks-> additional key settings option, and set action search to this new button. (On screenshot the "X" button launches newest google assistant)
Remmember if you want to use google on tap or assistant you should change google app language to US via app settings xposed module or change entire system language to US
I try lot of different ways to launch google now on tap/assistant by pressing home button on kangvip rom, the last option (with using gravitybox module) is the best for me.
My app asks for root on first launch, be patient after launching it

after many days use rom i still say excellent but the battery in charge took big time did you change somthing in Kernel notice when i charge the phone with sutdown its normal withe charge

I never wipe data partition in my flasheables zip, u can ask to my Galaxy S4 users

Me from 2022 here, please use tw lite 1.5 (on the old builds) instead. Oh yea i just created the odin-compatible version of this so you will only need odin to flash it. Also it's CSC-Free so you can also flash your country csc when flashing on odin.
