Hi all.J m the new on the forum. I just got the Lenovo A850. The first thing it wanted to do is download the OTA Firmware update. It failed!
Has anyone had the update work successfully?
Where Does the update file get downloaded to?
Is there a way to force the update because an update available does not show up in "about device".
The only way I know for it to force the OTA again is by doing a factory reset then that is one of the first things it asks you to do.

Hi guys, need some help here. I flashed GPE on my XT1033 because I want to install the OTA update for Android Lollipop. Everything was fine except when sideloading the update file. My command prompt keep saying that my device cannot be found. This is the error message, "error: device not found". I was really confused since I have installed motorola device manager so that my laptop can detect my phone. Do someone know the solution for my problem? I really want the Android Lollipop update. Right now I can only flash it if I want it because I didn't get any OTA update. Sorry if my English is bad.
Hi,i am new to xda so sorry if this post is posted elsewhere . So I have an lg d802t g2 white 32gb which I got as a gift from my uncle.it is currently running on jellybean 4.2.2 ,the software version says D802T10a-505-03.....I want to update it to kitkat.....I tried to update via the phone but after the software downloads it says invalid software package"....then I tried through the lg update tool via pc,it downloads a 1.6gb software and the phone goes into download mode but stops at 49percent ...I have tried a zillion times,and yet no avail.
Please guide me through this process,does this specific model have an kitkat update? If not how can I root and install a kitkat or lollipop rom?

I have android version 4.4.2 and model SGH-I337m from Koodo Canada. The baseband version is i337mvlufni2. I rooted my phone to unlock it. Now it downloads the OTA firmware update but fails. Tried hard reset and still the same error. Could you please guide me how to update manually or overcome this issue.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The ota fails because you are rooted. If you have superSU on your device you can try the full unroot option, then try the ota again. Hello everyone. i would really appreciate if anyone could tell me how to update my zenfone 3 ze520kl. I mean i have tried doing it manually but it was aborted because it says "cant install this package on device version less than 14.2020.1712.85" etc etc. I have marshmallow in my phone currently. But i want to update it to oreo. I even tried to update my phone from marshmallow to naugat but it failed again.. On checking for update it is not showing any update so i had to try manually. Please help.
Hi iam having issues in regards to not able to update my device. Was on FW 12.6.211 and theres a system update too 12.6.238 which i update it and restart. After that it seems that its showing this instead. tried installing via install package update but instead of installing it, it does nothing, like it asked to reboot but iam still with the previous FW.
