Startup Button Combination - Verizon Galaxy S 5 General

Decided to try out all the combinations of holding buttons while starting phone. Stock firmware, locked, etc.
I let go of the power button as soon as the phone does its first vibrate.
Vol Up = Nothing
Vol Dn = Safe Mode
Vol Up + Vol Dn = Safe Mode
Home = Nothing
Home + Vol Up = Recovery Mode (see picture)
Home + Vol Dn = Custom OS (see picture)
Home + Vol Up + Vol Dn = Safe Mode

So looks like this device went back to the Galaxy S3 method where the Home Button was required as well for Recovery and ODIN modes when the S4 only required Volume Up/Down alone (same thing on S2 by the way). I wonder what made them change that. Thanks for sharing though.

Well compared. Thanks for sharing by the way.

Tablet Hard Reset
I don't have experience with
this specific tablet, but many
Android devices use a similar
procedure.
Start with the tablet fully
powered off (not just in
standby). To force the tablet to
a fully off state, hold the power
button pressed for until it
powers down. This can take 10
to 20 seconds.
Hold the volume up button
pressed (some devices may use
the volume down button), and
then press and hold the power
button, until a small menu
appears. Release the power
button and then the volume
button.
Use the volume up/down
buttons to select the required
menu entry, and then tap the
power button to action the
selection.
I hope this works for you

Can't boot or get in recovery mode

Hello.
I have a LG 65 (D280n), and one morning I found it with blank screen (on).
I've tried all kinds of key combinations to reboot it or get it in recovery mode, without success: power on + volume up, power on + volume down, power on + home, power on + volume up + home, power on + volume down + home...
Nothing is working
Also, PC is not recognizing the device when plugged through USB (makes a connection sound, but that's all)
Any ideas as to how to reboot it/recover it?
Edit: I get the LG logo screen for a few seconds, then it flashes to black, appears briefly again, and goes blank for good (although the screen is black, it's on)

hTC A9 (and others) button combinations

I've come across plenty of contradictory posts on many sites, so these are the actual procedures to access different modes for the hTC A9 - and possibly some other devices.
Starting from Power off.
download mode : VOLUME DOWN + POWER, release PWR when logo appears.
Starting from Power off.
bootloader mode : VOLUME UP + VOLUME DOWN + POWER
From these modes it is possible to select Recovery:
With VOL UP/DOWN highlight Recovery Mode and press POWER.
After the htc logo, when red triangle icon is shown, hold PWR then press and release VOL UP, recovery appears.
You forgot one, HTC FTM mode. Turn device off, then hold volume up+power for seven seconds

Samsung S6 screen black after latest update

Hello,
This morning I woke up and my phone said the latest update has been installed during the night (Android 7)
3 hours later out of nowhere my phone screen turned black and only the little blue light is on.
IMPOSSIBLE to turn it back on!
I have tried everything
- Power + volume down
- Power + volume up
- Power + volume up + volume down
etc..
This CANNOT be a coincidence. my phone is only 2 years only old and was working perfectly, never fell down. literally perfect.
The new update probably broke my phone. What do I do now??
Hold power + volume up + volume down + center home button for 7 seconds, your device should reboot. If it doesn't there's something wrong with your hardware
Nothing happens when I do this.
this is NOT normal. my phone was absolutely FINE. Hardware cannot just decide to do this on its own. The update has broken something this is absolutely sure.
Do this read carefully
Hold home + volume up + power you will go recovery and factory reset / format cache
if it doesn't work
Hold home + volume up + volume down + power for 8 sec release only volume down keep home + volume up + power pressed
You will end up in recovery
Try this few times
If you want to go download mode do the same just release volume up keep the rest pushed

Universal Recovery Boot Guide

UNIVERSAL RECOVERY BOOT GUIDEBy Zillinium
Switch Off the Device.
If you have Quick Boot switched ON, you'll need to remove the battery now.
While the Device is OFF & Battery is back in.
Press & Hold Volume Down
If you have a Home Key, Press & Hold the Home Key as well.
While holding Volume Down, And Home if supported, Press & Hold Power as well.
Now you should be holding Volume Down + Home Key + Power Key simultaneously, hold them all for approximately 5 seconds.
DONE !
PROBLEMS
Boot's into Download Mode = Use Volume Up instead of Volume Down.
BOOT LOOPS AND THEN BOOTS NORMALLY : Your holding the button for too long, it's causing a forced restart, try releasing the key combination immediately when the screen lights up, then hold it again.
