Great to see someone bring PAC to Ovation. I just tried to download but not available, is the file still uploading?

Nightlies run at 1AM EST to about 6-8ish AM EST
expect it tomorrow morning at some point
watch here if you want
http://jenkins.pac-rom.com/job/PAC-man ROM Nightly Build/device=ovation,label=nightlies/

Thanks guys! I just took a look at PAC gerrit and saw that Ovation was just added this evening, figured it wouldn't be built 'til tomorrow.
@goldflame09, you are everywhere!!! LOL
Thanks again for bringing a nightly rom to Ovation besides CM.
EDIT: Btw, has Netflix been solved, or will we still need to use the Xposed Netflix workaround?

LOL you said it. I helped him over hangouts to support this device and to get it going.
very fast learner unlike some of the other people ive had to deal with XD. Helps when the person teaching only gets 6 hours of sleep everynight, goes to school, and then has a low patience level

Thanks for your help. I know PapaSmurf tried to get a maintainer for Ovation a while ago but I guess there were no takers at the time. I'm glad that DarkStarr stepped up to the plate.
I would have loved to do it myself but unfortunately, I don't have the skill or I'd be building for all my devices.
EDIT: Ah, no big deal on the Netflix, either using the Xposed module, or an earlier version 3.0 Netflix apk works fine.
Thanks again for the assist,
Mike T

I can see the first nightly incoming, building in still in progress

I am curious to try it out .but the download link only gives a 17 mb file which I guess would be too small for a ROM.also no gapps link.I am currently on cm 10.2 so will it require new recovery .let me know

Errm. It's still building, you will see the file size increasing when you refresh the page. The recommended gapps are mentioned in the original link on their website.

It's the first nightly dude . Don't expect stability yet.

Yeeeee
I checked the site and the file is at around 188mb. So I assume that nightly has finished buiłding?
Also, I can use PAgapps right?
Anyhow, thanks so much for taking ovation up to PAC. I can't wait to try this!

It really isn't stable at this point. I have tested and so far on a clean flash it barely runs. I keep getting random shutdowns, it will just turn off. That said, you can try it just beware that it may (probably) not work well enough to be usable yet. Anyways yes you can use PAgapps.

I just clean flashed it with pagapps.
Everything is, well, okay. Partially usable?
There are so many settings and options I don't know what to work with. LOL
Some stuff does crash but I haven't experienced the famed random shut offs/reboots yet.
Not as fluid as succlent's CM11 but this is just the beginning so, hopefully things get better.
And again, thank you for bringing ovation to PAC, Starr.
---------- Post added at 11:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:57 AM ----------
Also, someone should totally point me to a guide with PAC roms because all these settings are just.
And does anyone know how to enable Pie Controls?
Thanks ahead~

As for stability I have some extra commits that I'm merging with the cm branch and we shall go from there. I'll post a build later that I'll make on my own and then you can let me know if it's any better

Awesome! So that means next build will have slimPie?
Actually, I keep forgetting that PAC is made up of PA, CM, and AOKP which means lots of things to work with (I think?).
So later on you'll be making a build separate from this one. Hm.

I just asked pac doesn't even have rom control anymore, so what's up with that?
Looks pretty good, as already mentioned there are FCs in some settings. Besides what's already been reported, Performance Ctrl also FCs..The rom should be good though, when these fixes are made.
Thanks,

Yeah, that's why I said if I remember correctly but wasn't sure. I read so much different stuff, sometimes it all just seems to meld into one big ball of Android. Doing a quick search just now doesn't seem to indicate that AOKP no longer will have Rom Control.
I hope it still does, one of the coolest features in a rom.

VanirAOSP is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KITKAT), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please

*/
VanirAOSP is an aftermarket firmware Like CyanogenMod with add functionalities . We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
What to expect
This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
Maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
Originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
Aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion
FEATUREs
Stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
Enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
Custom written CRON and init.d.
UI and graphics improvements
Custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
Improved notification handling (active display & halo are in review also)
Usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
Animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
Additional quicksetting tiles
Immersive mode
Statusbar mods
Clock & battery mods
Lockscreen blur and other mods
Soon to come: Quick cam and flash notifications
Busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
BUGs
Same as in CM. Remember to flash the graphical glitches patch after the ROM.

Buddy some problems which i noticed after flashing
first of all no recovery in the kernel included in zip
second when i add immersive mode from status bar it gives setting fc and it also disables entry into tiles and layouts option from status bar
then bootanimation takes very long time for one second i thought rom is not booting
I cannot seem to make it work. This is what I did:
1. Unlock my bootloader
2. Flashed the boot.img from Phantom Kernel v7 (TWRP 2.7.0.0)
3. System successfully turned on
4. Tried to flash the Vanir zip from TWRP, but it shows error.
5. So I flashed the boot.img from inside the Vanir zip
6. Now the device won't start in recovery, let alone in system.
Please let me know what to do.

OK, I did it. Here's the complete steps:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash boot.img of Phantom kernel JB v7
3. Start up the system, if everything is fine proceed to next steps.
4. Turn off and flash boot.img from CM11 BETA2 by varun.chitre15
5. Reboot in recovery and do a complete wipe
6. Flash Vanir zip, Gapps and graphical fix
7. Reboot, first boot takes long.
Is the camera quality on this rom better than cm11 beta 2?

Might try to resync to see if it was a bug with just the 9/3 Nightly. Looks like some things were changes involving wireless.

Correct. I should have clarified.
I see the same issue the two of you were reporting with the first build, when the initial setup gets to the connect to wifi page, it just sits at "Turning Wifi On".

you have anything we could flash? i can try to extract one from a rom to try.
edit: used flashify to restore both kernels from AICP and Vanir, and neither worked (AICP kernel forced com.android.phone crashes upon boot, cant even unlock)... damn
edit 2: loading up PAC , it actually asks for secure SMS options, and phone options....is it grabbing things from the lte tree? and maybe that is causing issues?
edit 3: wtf are the key presses to boot into recovery from phone off...i am at work and cant get ADB to work here, and i cant get reboot to recovery from the OS bc of the crashing. and the buttons on this tablet are the worst things possible.

Put the tablet in an off state, then hold power + volume down. That'll bring you into fastboot, then use volume keys to select recovery and hit power to select it.

Good point. I flashed PA gapps, whatever the most minimal package is called (Not by my tablet atm). And then I flashed the latest SU package.
At my next opportunity I can try to flash just the rom, but that probably won't be until about 24 hours from now.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.0 (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
REMEMBER TO MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP OF YOUR WORKING PHONE.
REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A TESTING VERSION.
Instructions For Flashing First time

You should also wipe system.
Flash the zip and reboot.
Instructions For Upgrading from Previous Nightly/RC/Stable/Milestone

So great work here. I am debating flashing this. You say LTE isn't working yet. Everything else is currently working? Should I feel comfortable flashing this for daily use?

Resurrection Remix the ROM has been based on LineageOS, SlimRoms, Omni and original Remix ROM builds, this creates an awesome
combination of performance, customization, power and the most new features, brought directly to your Device.
Many things that in previous versions were tweaked with mods, are now included by default in the ROM so, please enjoy!
Special thanks to the LineageOS team, Omni team, SlimRoms and of course to all the supporters.

Make sure you have a custom recovery installed(TWRP is the preferred recovery)
Download the latest Resurrection Remix Rom & the latest GApps package
Boot into recovery
Perform a FULL factory wipe and wipe/system and dalvik cache as a precaution

- If you are having issues flashing Google Apps (e.g Error 70) it means your system parition is too small and you'll need to flash the reparition tool below in TWRP to fix.
Repartition - Nexus 7 (2013) for FLO/DEB (16/32GB)

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.
Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

Downloading now and going to test and i will report back regardless if i find any issues or not and many thanks for your hard work
Also huge thank you for still developing and supporting for our device that is 5-6 years old at this point
New build released, now on the Official channel
Just installed on Nexus 7 (2013) LTE -- works as a charm, thanks a lot to the developers!
Edit: I tried to encrypt the phone but that didn't go well (bootloop, then twrp was failing to decrypt it even with the correct pattern) so I formatted data, wiped it all and did a clean RR7 install (back to unencrypted).
I've read on some threads that I should encrypt the phone from the stock version before flashing RR7. Would that work?
Edit 2: Nope, still doesn't work. Encryption worked (I'm with stock with encryption enabled) but twrp-3.2.3-1_UA is unable to decrypt it (Pattern failed, please try again!) so I can't flash RR7.
Looks like we can't have an encrypted RR7. Back to the full process again without encryption...

Weather works for me after enabling the service in the settings, but not auto rotate (still need to use the Rotation Control app).

Well, it has a SIM card (so can make calls) and the same size as a Galaxy Note so nowadays that definition is debatable

New build works like a charm. and the only bug i noticed besides the obvious ones like nfc and compass is lockscreen music visualizer does not show up in lock screen when the setting is turned on and music is playing. Other than that the rom is great
Thank you so much for this awesome rom i look forward to future updates

i can't believe it either! Sometimes i think its just a dream but then i realize its reality! This device is 5-6 years old at this point in time and it amazes me that this tablet still gets development from time to time
I would love to have either crdroid pie on flo or havoc os pie on flo too we will have to wait and see if one day we will get those roms but i am grateful for the roms we have already
Great! Now we have official pie rom qwq
