[Q] A couple of issues - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

First, I can not get the Twitter magazine UX tile to update. I can hit the update icon all day and nothing. If I hit the tile I can see my latest tweets but the magazine tile will never update. All of the other tile seem to work fine. Also when I am streaming the play music app over the chromecast and if I try to use the pull down menu for notifications it locks up every time and a android crash tile shows up.
Any ideas
Thanks

[Q] People Tile Resetting when I scroll to bottom of homescreen (Mango Beta)

I noticed that the People Live Tile keeps resetting for me, and I found one way to show it is that if you scroll to the bottom of your homescreen and scroll back up, the people tile resets to all blue and slowly starts to refresh with peoples pictures.
Anyone else notice this problem? I noticed it on the Mango 7661 beta and then I updated to 7712 and the issue is still there
Nothing resets here on my Trophy latest beta build
Less tiles is key
Hi
I have the same issue, the only way I can resolve it is to have less tiles (i.e. about 22 tiles (20 single, 2 double) or 12 lines or less. As soon as I add more, it resets all live tiles. Extremely irritating. I thought it would handle more. Hope they fix it.
Let me know if there is a fix.
PS. I notice that you place people tile half way down, it doesnt reset every time you scroll to bottom.
Phone: HTC Trophy
I've noticed my People tile is often blank, so perhaps you're on to something. I'm running Mango 8107.

[APP][2.1+] T-Alarm 2.0.0 - Fast and handy alarm clock with useful feature

T-alarm is the alarm clock program with fast and handy interface.
The main feature of the program is that you can change once the time of next alarm. The T-Alarm restores the previous schedule after it'll wake you up with changed schedule. So, you don't need to restore your changes manual after each time you change the schedule.
The other feature is that you need few key presses to change the alarm. If you frequently change the alarm time for tomorrow you can do it with a few key presses and immediately see the next alarm time.
You can set the music file from the card for the alarm. You can press a music file name during file selection to listen it.

I have posted the T-Alarm on the Android Market.
You can find it by the "T-Alarm" name
I will try it out right away. I would suggest that you add an option to show an alarm notification in the notification bar when there is an alarm set up, and from this notification the app should be started.
Sure, I'll add the status in to the notification bar.
I've filled the feature list more exactly in the first post. Your suggestion is in it.
Now I'm concentrating on the design, but the other features will be definitely implemented.

I've added the notification bar icon.
New version is available on the Market and in this forum.
You was right, this is a very useful feature. Now it is easy to check the T-Alarm is working and time of a next alarm.

Great i just upgraded. Now one more question, would it be possible that the alarm notification is accepted and recognized as normal alarm, so it can be shown in widgets that show the next alarm?
I will try it. Thanks for providing.

I'm sure it is possible because of other alarm programs can do it.
I have it in mind to make but I thought to do it in future.
But now I look how to do it and if it is simple like the notofication bar I'll make it in some of a near version.
Yes it is possible as i saw it in another alarm clock app that is why i am asking for it. With this it will be my choice of alarm app

I found that adding a next alarm time to the lock screen is easy to do and done it last weekend.
Verson 1.2.2 shows next alarm time at the lock screen.
I had also added the system alarm icon to the notification bar. I plan to make an option to hide alarm icon form the notification bar. Two alarm icons might be too many for the notification bar
I've issued a new version of the T-Alarm.
There was a bug that the lick screen time some time disappeared on my Samsung Galaxy S.
I keep working on design. It is the most required feature now

Looking and working very good for me. Thanks and keep up the good work. This is currently my first choice alarm clock.

Today I've published new version of my application.
T-Alarm 2.0 have a nice design.
I also made much code refactoring inside the program's code, hence it works a bit faster.
Now I plan to add more little features.

[Q] Google Now Weather on Lollipop Lockscreen

Has anyone figured out how to get the Google current weather to show up as a notification on the Lollipop lockscreen? I would like to see it there on top all the time.

In google now options activate weather for your location. Then on lock screen pull down as if expanding notifications and it should pop up.
Good luck.
In Google Now, "Interested in weather updates for your location?" is set to Yes. On the lockscreen, there is nothing to pull down. The clock and date are in the center of the lockscreen and when I swip down, they just pulsate once.

Sorry bare with me. I managed to get it there but once swiped away it disappeared. Think it must have just been a notification thing. Sorry. I use beautiful widgets from play store for mine. I know its not what your after but its an alternative.
I just got it once here also. I tapped on it and it opened Google Now. Now it is gone from the lockscreen again. I guess once it is there...you can't tap it. I used Beautiful Widgets before and also DashClock but the weather was different with those since they don't use the same provider as Google Now. It was a notification that I had since Lollipop doesn't support lockscreen widgets that I know of.
How are you keeping the Beautiful Widgets on your lockscreen? Is it a notification?
Google now weather
I have also experienced the disappearing Google Now 'current weather' notification in lockscreen on both my nexus 5 devices. It showed up on the lockscreen one time after pulling down on the time but after unlocking my screen and relocking the device i have never been able to replicate the weather notification
The notification has come back on mine. If you swipe it away or reboot your phone, it seems to come back sometime within the next hour or so.
I use 1weather it's good for me

[Night Mode] as it should be on OOS with a new QS Tile, Root and Kcal required

Hi all.
OnePlus Night mode is a bit off the standard as some of us have been reporting for a long time.
I have been struggling with it since day one. To green (i see a lot of users saying to yellow) for me.
This does not Fix the One Plus Night Mode, it adds a new QS Tile you can use instead.
With this new QS Tile you will get the Amber Night Mode you see on AOSP Roms.
Root is mandatory.
You need a kernel with Kcal support (If you know me you know what i use already, if not it's on my Signature, if you are on XDA Labs and can't see it i always use blu_spark kernel).
Kernel Adiutor is not mandatory but is the app i use to check if it's all as should be.
QuickTile Quick Settings 7+ is the app i use for the "new" Night Mode QS Tile.
Now the fun:
Open Quick Tile and give the App root permissions when asked.
1 - Change the QS icon to the White half Moon icon, Change the name to Night Mode (The icon and name can be adjusted to your personal taste)
2 - Click the "+" button, select "LAB", select "send ROOT Shell command and insert:
Code:
echo '256 256 256' > /sys/devices/platform/kcal_ctrl.0/kcal
Hit OK, this is the normal state of QS Tile (disabled state).
3 - Hit the "Gear icon" and choose Add Cycle (Previous state will vanish, we are now making the enabled Night mode state of the same QS Tile)
4 - Change the QS icon to the Grey half Moon icon, Change the name to Night Mode (The icon and name can be adjusted to your personal taste)
5 - Click the "+" button, select "LAB", select "send ROOT Shell command and insert:
Code:
echo '256 155 61' > /sys/devices/platform/kcal_ctrl.0/kcal
Hit OK, this is the actual Night Mode state of QS Tile (enabled state).
6 - Hit the "Play button" to see the night mode Kick in.
7 - Go to your QS, edit them and add the new Night Mode QS Tile you just created to the QS panel. You can ditch the old one.
All done. Enjoy the Night mode on OOS as it should have been implemented in the first place.
This works on Stable and OB OOS. You need to disable the automatic Night Mode if you are on OB or it will override this one.
OP3/3T are on par on such matter, it works for both devices.
Nice, will give it a try. I also dont understand what was oneplus idea by adding this greenish night mode. It hurts my eyes and i never use it
Thanks for this!
I noticed with ex kernel manager that each switch between regular and nightmode will increase the values for "value" and "contrast" by one step.
Depending on how often you do this, the colors will look noticeably different eventually.

I have tested it quite extensively with Kernel Adiutor.
Can't seem to reproduce it.
127 is the value for both "value" and "contrast" on both Night Mode and Stock Mode.
Try to disable ExKernel Manager and use KA to check after a few ON/OFF cycles of Night Mode.
The only parameter of Kcal I touch with those commands is "Screen color" which changes RGB.
They cycle as supposed on my end.
Other values are untouched and are reported as untouched on Kernel Adiutor App.
Feel free to give me feedback on this matter. I find that a bit strange.
@Chaplan
Works great with EX kernel and OB14 on OP3. Thanks for this. :good:
Edit: Also configured Tasker for automatic Night Mode
Hey just followed your tutorial and created the tile and tested with play button but I am unable to add the tile to the qs panel. I am able to drag the 'Quicktile' tile to half way and it disappears. Not sure it's rom issue or app. So can you help me out?

It's pretty straight forward.
Never encountered that issue.
Try to add it to the middle panel and then to the top panel where the QS Tiles get activated.
Also giving auto start permissions to the app and removing it from agressive Doze and app hibernation list will make it perform on an immediate basis when the QS is pressed.

Tried them and still doesn't work. But thinking that I am using ozone substratum theme for 4QS tiles. This might be the reason for not able to add tiles.?
Will check that also.
Thank you for the response:good:

Disabling Media Controls android 11

In the beta version of android 11 there must have been a way to disable media controls completely because on my pixel, media control fuctionality never populates the notification shade, ever! I remember there being a big issue with the controls because they wouldnt swipe away especially when using the google podcast app, i just cant seem to find the permanent fix...any tips would be appreciated. I switched from the pixel to an oneplus and the media control populating the notification/quick setting shade is driving me nuts!
Thank you
