Best battery saving rom - HTC One S

Hello guys !
My One S' battery is dying It cant even last for a day now .. So to begin with, i would like to try out some rom that is the most battery saving friendly out there !
I have already tried out the CM11 rom, but this only helps a little compared to the other rom i've tried (Magio something)
Is there any other rom out there you can recommend?
Thanks !

I recommend the viper sense 5 Rom, the battery life is awesome and the Rom looks very nice and works like a charm

Battery drain depends on usage. I've been using TwistedKat for the past 3-4 weeks and I'm gonna stick with it. Developer is always on and making great strides when he updates and it's rock solid. Battery usage for me is really good. Using the phone normally I'll take the phone off the charger around 7:30am and put it back on the charger before going to bed around 11pm and I'm usually always above 50%...
Don't know if that helps you, just my .02...
You also might want to try another Kernel...

Try this: TwistedKat. It's a 4.4.2 ROM based on SlimRom. Battery life is very good for AOSP, plus the ROM is very stable. The developer puts in a lot of hours and releases updates quickly.
Make sure to do a clean install.

HTC Sensation with CynogenMod 9 Battery runs super fast...

Hey guys, I am pretty new here and was wondering if there was anything that I could do to make my battery life longer. The only reason why I wanted to root my phone was so that I could save some battery life and not have to worry. I would say that I do use it a lot, but would that really effect how fast the battery is gonna go out on me? Like I said I am really new and don't know much about the rooting process (my friend helped me get the ROM on my phone and rooted/s-off, all that good stuff). So if you guys could just let me know if there are any things I should be looking for or what I could post on here to see if I can keep my battery up and running longer.
Thanks abunch.

Thanks, I will try that, what does that actually do for the battery? I remember when we first put the new ROM on the phone we did that, but never have I done it after that. Thanks for the reply as well.

That has nothing to do whit the battery ...
And to OP best thing to do is turn brightness down you might aswell want to get extended batterys such as ankers..
They work really good and last twice as long as stock one

Yeah I am using the stock battery, but I have been seeing people using the stock battery and being able to last a really long time. Do you guys think that it may be the fact that I leave it charging for long periods at a time? I usually go to sleep with the charger on it.
Use a different ROM. Cyanogen Mod does not give good battery life, never really has for the Sensation.
try Virtuous Inquisition

Do you think it would be an easy process for me to do that? Mind you I really don't know much about rooting and stuff, do you think I would have to change the radio and the drivers at all?

Did the friend that did all the magic for you clear the old battery stats after flashing the ROM? If not, this can problems with battery life.
If you don't know, just download an app called Battery Calibration. Charge your phone til it's at 100%, hit calibrate, and unplug the phone.
This clears the old stats and allows the new ROM to build new ones.

Andromadus vs. Jellytime vs. PACman vs. Pure CM10

Hello,
at the moment i am using Jellytime. For now i am happy with this, but i think the battery life could be just better. So which rom from above offers you the best battery lifetime?

Me too. Battery life is very short using Pacman v18.0, at most 5 hours. The screen is the process that consumes more battery. Maybe it is only a my problem, but with Fallout v.5 I didn't have this problem (but others :laugh.
Well I find the battery life good on pure CM10.
If it wasnt for the graphics glitches when browsing, it'd be a really good ROM!
I have installed Pacman v18.0 about 3 days ago and am very impressed with the ROM. No problem with battery life but one major problem with the phone randomly going into Sim Lock mode. Could be after 5 minutes, could be after 5 hours and sometimes while just using it.
PACman, way to go.
I'm using Andromadus CM10.1 and battery is good...Overall is good except Bluetooth that doesn't work yet...

Mine has about an hours worth of battery...
For now I'm switching to my sense rom
On the latest build (build 10) of Andromadus 10.1 I found that the bluetooth was fixed!
Overall, at this time, I believe that the 3 andromadus ROMs are by far the best Jellybean effords!
Thank GOD I got here...
Could someone help me with rom that includes these features?
1. The official ics look (nexus ics)
2. That includes all apps like the sensed ics got. (fM radio, voice recorder, youtube etc)
3. My wifi doesnt turn on when i use any custom rom It just says "Turning on wifi" for the whole day.
4. The settings tab normal (not the tablet type like pacman got)
....
Thanks
battery life when using pacman is sucks, only 7 hours with minimal usage, texting, phone with 3g/hsdpa signal

I'am trying different roms all the time... right now I'm using FullySamsung-1.0.1 since couple of days... battery life sucks on this rom...
I do not see the connection between battery life and "preferences and taste"...
From my experiences all JB roms for DS are draining battery very fast...

some people prefer to UV their kernels. Some people don't prefer. Some kernels allow UV, some don't. see it all comes down to preference,of course UV also may cause performance to decrease. so it stills come down to preference.

That still isn't answer for a question from first topic... "So which rom from above offers you the best battery lifetime?".
It's just general deviation about the opportunities offered by kernels...

Hmm, when ppl say try it yourself, it simply means that u would have to flash the rom to know what's best for u.
Everyone uses his/her phone differently, so basicly there is no ideal rom that pleases everyone.
Everyone will you give a different opinion in terms of battery/speed/etc. That's why it is a bit pointless in asking what's the "best rom" for the other person when the usage is different.
So no point having second doubt and just flash the phone, try every single rom, i have flash from sense to cm to ics and now back to gb.
Go ahead and experiment the roms for yourself. Today someone might give u a suggestion, the next day a another. that's why it is consider pointless in asking such question as 'which is the best can u recommend me' and much better to try it for yourself instead of being shortchange in case there is another better than that is being suggested.

Does any one facing camera issue?
I tried installing many JB roms but camera lags in all while video recording.

[Q] rom for my mom??

My mom i727 is now out of warranty. She is on the att official 4.1.2 rom and the battery life is just horrible. Battery Guru helped but I got a feeling a custom rom would help more. She had awesome battery life on ICS. I have the i717 and I also tried the stock att 4.1.2 and had horrible battery life(among other issues) Questions is: (dont hate) I need a rom ics or jellybean that is just incredible stable. Since this is not my phone I have not been able to try out anything. Any help would be great. THANKS!! What rom would you give your mom=)
I'd keep her on stock. And if ics worked better for you I'd put that on.

Sons of Android was my first DD when I switched to custom ROMs. I ran it for a whole week and it was really stable and got a 33% battery life increase over stock ROM with similar usage.
Stock ROMs can also crash so you could try any stable custom ROM out here.
Got to agree with xcrazyd on this one. If battery life is the problem the logical solution would be to get an extended battery. Check out the accessories section, you can get one for 7 bucks.
oh dang, 7 bucks for the extended battery? I think I'll get on that. I currently get about 12 hours out of my skyrocket with light use on CM10.1. No matter what the battery life on this phone isn't going to be awesome. Especially when you look at what's using the battery (it's the screen).

If that's the kind of battery life you're getting you need this, not an extended battery.
thanks for replies everyone. right now i have her on the cm10.1 rc5. She seems to like it and hasnt had any issues so far. If something comes up I will try the sons of android rom. She just wants battery life like she use to have on ICS. No extended battery need but thanks for the suggestion. I actually have a 5200 i sometimes use on my i717. Appreciate all you time.

Weird that you would get bad battery life on samsung jelly bean, i had the Rogers jelly bean and it had great battery life. Same with CM10/CM10.1 and MIUI.

Which Rom has the best battery life combined with strong/stable performance?

I'd appreciate some input guys What's your favs?

Cyanide is the best I've found. I usually finish the day in the mid-40s on battery, all LTE with 2-2.5 hours SOT.

I agree with you, that the Sultana ROM 6 is great. On the other hand, I am getting spectacular battery. Stock Sultana it was pretty good, meaning I'd lose4 -5% over night with the phone 'off', but using DS Battery saver, power use goes flat lie overnight... just flat line.
The rest of the time is 'normal', depending on what I'm doing... and still very good, as the battery will last several days of moderate use, several hours of gaming, and general 'stuff'.

How are the ROMs named here better than the CM nightlys? I'm using them since I got the phone more than a year ago.
Just curious
You can't say, if a ROM is better or worse than another ROM. Every ROM has his own taste.
Well then let's say what are your reasons for using them instead of the more "standard" CM?
I just need my phone to be stable and have a good battery life.

I can't see the point in this discussion and also not how it relates to my original question.
(The qustion beeing what ones reasons are to use a particular ROM) There is no point in posting something like "I'm using ROM xy" without naming any reasons.
