Consistent Clipboard - Omni Features Development

A Clipboard that remained over reboots would be really cool and useful. It's on touchwiz if I recall correctly, may be on others. If it can be implemented without too much work, that'd be awesome

New Home Launcher

I just found this launcher and wanted to share it. It's awesome. Had features I haven't seen on other launchers. You can pull the SMS and phone icons up and view your latest calls and texts straight on your home screen in a pull up drawer. Check it out

Not really my taste, but it has a LOT of potential though! I wish the developers luck!
If you could change the dock icons it would be awesome

Better Facebook App - Update 10/24

UPDATE 10/24 -
members posting here on XDA have turned me to an even better Facebook app..
Friendcaster
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.senab.blueNotifyFree
All the features of stock Facebook app and then some.. theming and easier navigation, better notifications.. definitely worth checking out!
OLD:
Stumbled upon this searching the forums. I tried it out and so far so good.
"Fast for Facebook" is an app started by an XDA member and it has a couple different themes. It has most of the features the official Facebook app has but the major benefit is battery saving with background processes not running constantly.

I downloaded this app many months ago but at that time many features were missing. It seems like there's been a lot of progress so I'll give it another shot. I didn't know someone from XDA made it.

Yeah I ended uninstalling after a day of use. It has made a lot of progress but still not worth replacing the original FB app.

There has been a ton of progress to the app. I thoroughly hated it months ago but now it stands as a decent competitor to the official app. The only real thing I don't like is no push notifications, but I check FB often enough for that not to matter.

another good fb app

try flipster..i ve been using it for a while and its quite good. no frills approach to fb
I recently tried Fast and Flipster, and quickly started getting a bunch of spam email from random Yahoo email addresses, spoofed with the names of my Facebook friends.
Maybe just a coincidence, but seemed pretty fishy to me.

Nice! I just uninstall the Official FB app for Flipster. Works great reminds me of Plume for Twitter.

I've been running it for about 6 months, I guess from Gingerbread to Jellybean, and it's worked fine. I like how it shows the posts more than my computer browser.
Every once in a while it'll do something weird...but so do I

Installed and running it now. Not a bad alternative to swype. Interested when this might be fully supported so that library additions stick.

Is swype still better?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
It actually feels smoother and faster than swype.

Only thing I miss is being able to swype up or down for punctuation. Or long press etc. But I love the way the word shows up as you swype!

I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Their differences are strongly compelling advantages. I could see this becoming better than swype in time though with integration into the realtime language structure engine.

ROM...Pmid10c stock no bloat cwmr...

Hi so here is what it is, hope this helps some people out, if you want to talk to the dev, pm me and go from there...
I have not flashed this yet but am about to soon. If you do flash, let me know how it goes... As always, flash at your own risk... The dev does not have this exact device but his custom ROM on a very close model has gotten very good reviews...

the rom works........ would be great if there was a way to overclock this crazy thing or another way to speed it up, seems a little slow at times.
'aslo sometimes when i boot up, it just turns to a white screen. I have to power down again and restart it up.....
Outstanding, except for the white screen and the lag. I find the original rom is pretty slow too, except in gaming modes, it plays some every game I've thrown at it with almost no issues... So how's the recovery? It is with it right? And I still couldn't get the damn .img file open, how did you do it?
Edit, you can oc it to like 1.4Ghz but mine is by no means stable at all... set cpu apk is a good oc'r, there are a ton of apps you can use...
I think it would be perfect with jb, no problems at all. I really hope an advanced dev picks this up and runs with it

Make your ROM feel faster

In a some ROMs (CM10, Paranoid, Beanstalk, and I'm sure there are others) under: System Settings > Developer Options
Change the following from 1x to 0.5x:
Windows Animation Scale
Transition Animation Scale
Animator Duration Scale
This speeds up the animations and makes the phone feel a little faster. You can also turn the animations off or slow them down by increasing the value.
No reboot required for settings to take effect.
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
I just tried it.
But it looks kinda weird...
Little too fast animation??
I think I should use it for one more day and decide which one I prefer more.
Thanks for info though
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
Ya. It is a little awkward at first. But after running it all day I'm used to it. And it does make the phone feel just a bit quicker.
There is a similar setting in some launchers to increase animation speed. But these settings change most of the phone animations
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
I really like the effect. It's better than turning them off completely.
Indeed. After running it for a few days. I am used to it and it definitely makes the phone feel a bit quicker. I enjoy it
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
Yeah
I'm still running like that from few days ago. I already got used to it.
And it does feel quicker.
I knew about this before but it was just to weird at that time so I set everything top default after few min.
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
I think it is good post but ...my personall thinking is not to go for it
BUT THNX BUDDYY ....
THNX ALOT
Thanks, I like it
Wow. After using these settings for a while and then switching back it seems so slow! I really like the extra snappiness.
