APK Installation problema - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I live in brasil and gave a moto g version 2 sim and 16gb storage.
My problem is when I install an APK from the internal memory is shown me the error "There was a problem parsing the package" the only solution is to install using google drive.

This problem is occurring with everyone... But there is a work around to install apks:
1) upload the apk to your Google drive.
2) install the apk from the Google drive.
This seems to be working.

for some people, doing a hard reset works.
1. hard reset. do not install updates!
2. install apk via Chrome.
3. update any apps via store.

I had this behaviour not at the first time, but AFTER some factory resets. The thing I changed and then it works:
- When Motorola assistant asks for data safety (just before the Google accounts question comes up), don't click accept, but tap on "data safety guidelines" and tick both settings to off. Then accept.
Does this help?

I just did factory reset 4 times and still not able to install apk...

I get no data safety window at the first setup. Tried 4 times.

This is happening to me too, Moto G 8GB EU. Installing from Google Drive works, didn't try with adb install.
I also closed the popup for the Motorola assistant so I cannot try that, is there a way to modify that later?

Hmm.... Even I have Google Talk uninstalled but Play Store is fine....
This same problem happened to me on the day I froze a lot of Google apps. I went about clearing caches, enabling/didisabling services etc. and somehow it just worked. :screwy:
Umm is Google Services Framework & Google account manger running? (when I froze these two play store wouldn't even start)
EDIT : if u still want the link, try -
http://mediafire.com/?762dndmyud8o6l7 (I haven't tried it!)
it's a system app, so installing directly might not work. If it doesn't, move the apk to /system/app , set permissions and reboot.

thanks man, it's fixed now after a lot of hours working on it, you definitely gave me the idea to resolve the issue, :victory:

What problem are u getting? I mean what does the phone say when the apply doesn't install?
Well some apps are not fully work on kit Kat that's why you have been facing that error, use updated apps. I hope it will work for you.

Can't manually install app, bug??

So, yesterday I tried to install the apk of L camera, with no success. I got stuck in the first menu, when you need to press "install". I start to think that the problem was with the app and not with the android. But today I tried to install de google play services and I had the same problem.
Stock Android L without root.
I'm the only one?
...and the error is?
Not all apks are installable by the way. Some need to be put in /system

thanks, I click on Install and nothing happens.
I have tried with L camera, google play service and swiftkey.
Its a security feature when you're using an app that places an overlay on your screen.
Not sure what app it is though. Most common are screen dimmers

This wont work due to that the camera isnt communicating with the ROMs, it shows "Cant connect to camera" or other messages.
I faced the same, but I did not fixed that.
But try downloading latest update.zip for your device, unpack and use HuaweiUpdateExtractor to extract vendor.img. Then flash this via ADB or TWRP by HassanMirza

Of course Ive already tried third party camera apps (playstore and flashing).

Im back on working Elite-Rom for the moment and can just wait for someone that has more knowledge than me to fix the problem
